Evelyn’s POV
.
I nearly fell down when I realized what just happened.
No no this isn’t supposed to happen? The poison supposed to work, why isn’t it working?
D-did he know about the poison?
Is he aware of what I was trying to do? Did he know? ….No, No ….. it can’t be, this isn’t supposed to be happening.
” Sister, are you alright?” I heard Anna asked and I turned to see them all staring at me.
” Yeah, yeah……I’m….I’m fine” I replied.
” But you don’t look fine…..you look worried and you’ve been acting weird” Bella said.
” Did something happened?” Sophie asked.
” No….. nothing happened, I’m fine you don’t have to worry” I replied then took the dish to the kitchen.
But I poured the poison in there, I poured it all into his tea, but why…why isn’t it working?
What kind of freak are we living with?…..what kind of monster has my mom begotten.
I took all the plate that he used and went to the dust bin and dump it all in,side to avoid any surprises.
I went back to the kitchen and sat down thinking, I can’t explain the feeling I’m experiencing.
I’m very scared and my wh0le system is vibrating as I think about the incident.
” Evelyn” Sarah said startling me.
” Uhhhh” I exclaimed.
” I’m sorry…… I didn’t mean to startle you” she said.
” No….. it’s okay” I replied.
” Sis, what’s happening to you?….. you’re acting strange….. what’s going on?” She asked concerned.
” Nothing….. I’m f…….”
” Don’t tell me you’re fine cause it’s obvious you’re not……please talk to me” she said.
” I don’t know how to make you understand” I said.
” Just tell me……we will work on it together” she insisted.
” Fine,….. something very evil is coming, and I can feel it getting closer” I said and she furrow her brow.
” Something evil……how do you know this?” She asked.
” The dreams I’ve been having is growing intense…… It’s not like before” I said.
” Okay….but how do we stop it?” She asked.
” That’s the billion dollar question and my answer is I don’t know, I don’t know how….I don’t know what else to do” I said.
” What else?……are you saying you’ve tried something before?” Sarah asked then I realized what I said.
” Yeah and it didn’t work out……right now I’m out of options” I said then went out to the living room.
” Evelyn, or maybe you’re not getting enough sleep which cause all this…… you need to rest” Sarah said coming after me.
” I know you won’t understand” I replied heading upstairs.
” Where are you going?” She asked.
” My room of course, maybe I can get that sleep you talked about or maybe all of this is just a dream” I said.
” But it’s too early to go to bed” Eva said.
” Let her be Eva, she’s not herself” Sarah said then I went to my room.

I got to my room and laid on the bed then to control myself cause I don’t really know how I’m feeling.
We can’t stay here any longer, we need to get out before this boy turned on us.
OhmyGod I poisoned him and nothing happened, nothing happened, this can’t be right.
I keep contemplating on this and after a while I dozed off.

I found myself in the same forest again, covered in someone’s blood but this time it’s different.
OhmyGod, OhmyGod……No, No No No
I see dead bodies littered all around me, I can’t recognize any of the faces cause it was distroyed.

I keep scre-ming then ran away from the place, as I keep running i keep seeing dead bodies.
I keep running as fast as I could then I stopped when I see someone right in front of me.
I stopped and looked into the boy’s eyes and recognize him to be my brother, he was also covered in blood.
There’s blood all over his mouth and his blue eyes shown bright and then he started laughing.
” No, No…..Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh” I scre-med out in fear.
” Stop scre-ming already?, It’s deafening” he said grinning.
” Please, go away……get away from me” I pleaded crying.
” Hmmm, you tried to get rid of me” he said coming closer.
” You think it’s going to be that easy to get rid of me….oh c’mon you’re going to have to try h-rder than that” he said.
” Please just go away…..please” I pleaded.
” I’m not done with your family yet….infact I haven’t done anything yet but very soon….you will feel it” he said then started laughing.
” No, no….no….no….you can’t….. please don’t” I said frightened.
” I’m coming for you, I’m coming for all of you”
” No…..please no, please don’t…..no….please don’t….no…..no” I keep saying continuously.

” Evelyn wake up,….wake up Evelyn…. Evelyn wake up” I heard my dad saying.
I woke up sweating and breathing profusely and saw my wh0le family staring at me and realized it’s morning already.
OhmyGod,. Oh God
” Evelyn, what is happening with you?” Dad asked.
” Sisterr” Eve called then I see her and the others already in tears.
” Your sister told me last night that you’re acting weird, I came to check on you but you’re asleep” dad explained.
” I think we should take her to the hospital” mom suggested.
” No…. I’m fine, don’t need hospital” I replied.
” But you’re not acting fine,…. you’re scaring the hell out of us” dad said.
” I’m okay, I’m fine……just the crazy nightmares, that’s all” I said.
” The same nightmare” Sarah said and I nodded.
” I’m taking you to the doctor right now…..okay and no argument” dad said standing.
” Aren’t you going to work?” I asked.
” No…Not today, not when you’re like this……a doctor can help” he said.
” I think she needs a psychiatrist” I heard Destry said and I turned to see him smiling.
” Get out of my room…….you little monster” I shouted at him.
” Evelyn, don’t call my son a monster” mom snapped back.
” But that’s what he is……he is the cause of all this” I said.
” I think your dad is right…..you need a doctor after all” mom said taking Destry away.
I turned to see my sisters looking at me worriedly with tears on their faces.
” C’mon girls I’m okay….. I’m not sick, Just clean your tears” I said.

A while later I was taken to the hospital and the doctor ran a diagnostic test on me.
” So doctor, anything wrong?” Dad asked the doctor.
” She’s perfectly Okay….. nothing is wrong with her” the doctor said.
” What!….you must be mistaken cause she’s not feeling well this past few days” dad said.
” I’m sure she’s okay and the test confirmed it” doctor assured.
” Dad…..you see I’m fine, you don’t have to worry about anything” I said.
” What about those nightmares of yours?…..they are disturbing” dad said worriedly.
” Actually about that, there’s a drug I’ll give you…..just take it before you sleep, the nightmares will stop” the doctor said.
” Thanks so much doctor, I really appreciate” dad said.
” Thank you doctor” I also said.

Some minutes later we are in the car on our way back home.
The doctor gave me some drugs to use which will stop the crazy dreams and I really do hope so.
Thinking about the dream I had this morning, I know something is not right, this is not right.
In the dream he knew I tried to kill him, does it means that he knew as well in real life.
He said he’s coming for me and my family, what does that mean? What’s really going on?.
Who are those bodies I saw in my dreams?.
What did Destry do to them?.
What happened to them?…..we can’t stay there any longer……we can be in that house anymore.
” Are you okay?” Dad asked as he is driving.
” I’m fine dad” I replied.
” Dad, I think we need to have that talk again” I said.
” Which talk?” Dad asked.
” About you getting us an apartment outside” I said.
” Oh c’mon, not this conversation again” dad disagreed.
” Dad, we can’t stay there any longer……my sister and I need to leave” I said.
” But you and your mother don’t fight anymore, why the need to get out again?” Dad said.
” Is this about the dream?” He added.
” Dad, I just know something is not right, we need to get out just in case” I said.
” C’mon Evelyn, you’re trying to separate out family, family are meant to stick together” dad said.
” We are together but I’m afraid it won’t last forever if we don’t get out” I said.
” You’re not doing this Evelyn, I’m your father and I’m making the decision” dad said.
” Really dad?…..just so you know the girls will do exactly as I said………”
” One day you will come home and you will find none of us” I said.
” You will runaway with them?”
” Just get us that apartment and that won’t happen” I said and he nodded in frustration.
” Fine…..But not this year” he said and I furrow my brow.
” what do you mean?……why not?” I asked.
” C’mon, it’s the ending of the year….. Christmas is just a few days ahead… Let’s spend the rest of this year together as family” dad said.
” Is that really necessary?” I said.
” Yeah, Let’s spend it together as a family…..then by next year….you will be in your own apartment” dad said.
” Hope you’re not trying to pull this off” I said.
” No, you know what this family meant to me…… let’s be together… Okay”
” Fine……. Just till the end of this year” I said.
” we have a deal”

A while later we got home and dad parked the car at the garage then I remembered something.
My father bought a huge portion of an island, which is where all our family spent our holidays.
Most especially Christmas, we never miss it…..we go there on Christmas Eve and come back in the new year.
” Dad, you said we are spending the Christmas together?” I asked.
” Yes…I said that, cause that’s the way we do every year” he said.
” But, we don’t….we don’t stay here on Christmas day….. don’t tell me we’re going to the island?” I asked.
” Of course, that’s where we always go……you know this already” he said.
OhmyGod….No…No
” Dad, we can’t go……not this time” I said.
” Evelyn, we had a deal so honore it and I’ll do the same” he said.
” But……..”
” There’s nothing you can say that will stop us all from going there……. that’s where we spent the last Christmas”
” That’s where we always be on Christmas…..so we are going there this Christmas as well”
” End of discussion” he said then entered the house.
