CHAPTER 17&18

DINNING HALL**

Lamia and Heaven were the last to come inside,everyone focused on them and some began to murmur.

“But…since when did you two become friends?” Thatcher asked,looking surprised.

“Is it what I’m thinking?” Bryant grinned.

Lamia pulled out the seat next to Cat-Girl for Heaven and she sat,two empty seats left,he sat down on the one next to Eugene just opposite Natasha.

“I’ve been waiting for you” Eugene smiled and Lamia looked at him.

“Stop it” He muttered and Eugene chuckled.

Everyone started eating,Lamia glanced at Natasha but her face was only buried in her food even though she wasn’t eating.

“Are you okay?” Winter asked her and she looked up.

“Where’s Damon?” Natasha asked and everyone turned.

“He won’t be here” Speedy answered.

“Why?” Natasha questioned again.

“She’s serving punishment,aren’t you aware of it?” Eugene said and Natasha stood up.

“Where are you going?” Skylar asked immediately.

“Getting punished doesn’t mean he shouldn’t eat,I wonder how you all are fine about it and eating happily” Natasha said.

“He tried hurting Lamia” Cat-Girl said.

“So what? I got hurt instead anyway? And I am against him starving because of that” Natasha snapped and walked away.

“What’s wrong with her? Since when does she care about Damon?” Eugene scoffed. Lamia kept quiet.

Sadie let out a soft smile and continue eating.

“Why are you smiling?” Thatcher asked beside her.

“Just because” She smirked.

Natasha tried opening the door of Damon’s room but it was locked.

“Hey dumb vampire” She called,knocking on the door repeatedly.

“Dumb vampire!! Are you planning to starve yourself go death?! Open this door right now!” She shouted,still knocking but still no response.

She turned over her red eyes and the door opened at once,she entered to see Damon sitting on the floor with his head buried in his knees.

“Hey” She called but no response.

She bent in front of him and forcefully raised his head up,her eyes widened when she saw his red eyes but he was looking totally weak.

Natasha placed her hand on his forehead,he was running so much temperature ebouvh to give her a burn.

“Hey,when last did you drink blood?” Natasha asked immediately.

Damon swallowed without saying a word.

Natasha slapped his head hardly.

“What are you doing?” Damon asked,touching his head.

“You want to die or something?!” Natasha yelled and stood up.

“Get up right now” She muttered and pulled him up,she closed her eyes and vanished out of the room with Damon.

HUMAN WORLD**

Natasha and Damon both appeared in a dark room,Natasha made Damon sit down since he was looking more weaker.

“Where is this?” Damon asked as Natasha looked around,it’s like a store room.

“I don’t know,just stay here and wait for me” Natasha muttered and made to leave,Damon grabbed her leg and she turned back.

“Hurry up and come back,please” He said.

“Don’t think high of yourself,I’m doing this so I can see someone to hit when I’m angry” Natasha said and Damon chuckled.

“Stay here” Natasha rolled her eyes and disappeared again. She appeared outside a large building,turning around to see,it’s a company and many people were going in and out of it. She stood there,her eyes scanning around looking for the unlucky prey and finally she set her eyes on a lady dressed in a suit,she seems like a worker in the company.

She was about walking closer when someone tapped her from the back and she turned.

“Who are you?” The lady asked.

Natasha sighed.

“You came to me on your own” She mumbled and the lady raised her brows.

“What? Are you one of the interviewers……” Natasha blew air on her face and the lady’s eyes turned back,she held the lady’s hand and they both vanished at once,appeared back in the dark room.

“Damon?” Natasha called.

“I’m here” Damon replied from the back of one of the cartons.

Natasha held the lady’s hand and walked over to Damon.

“What did you do to her?” Damon questioned.

“She’s under my hypnosis right now,so get as much blood as you want before she regain her consciousness” Natasha said.

“She won’t,unless you release her…..”

“Then hurry before I change my mind,make sure she doesn’t get affected or I will kill you” Natasha threatened and pushed the lady to Damon before turning her back against them.

Damon grabbed the lady’s neck and almost thirstily,his canine teeth came out and he shoved them into her neck,sucking her blood,giving him back the energy he had lost.

“Done?” Natasha asked.

“Yes” Damon replied sharply and Natasha faxed him to see him smiling.

“You’re back to being annoying” She muttered and looked at the woman,her neck was still open from the bite.

“What do we do about that?” Damon asked.

Natasha’s eyes turned red and shone on the woman’s neck,the cut closed up and the lady disappeared.

“I erased her memory too so don’t worry and let’s go back” Natasha said.

“Not yet,how about we look around this world?” Damon asked.

“You can stay and do that alone,I need to leave before the masters find out” Natasha replied.

Damon grabbed her hand.

“I know you’re not that happy right now,let’s have some fun” Damon smirked and they disappeared.

NIGHT★LIGHT REALM VILLA**

Natasha and Damon both appeared in front of Natasha’s room,holding hands. But almost surprised to see Lamia leaning on the wall beside the entrance.

“Thanks for today” Damon said to Natasha,ignoring Lamia who was staring at them quietly.

“Go” Natasha muttered.

Damon smiled and touched her hair,he gave Lamia a short glance and walked away. Natasha made to open the door but couldn’t,it was locked,she tried again and again but to no avail.

She turned to Lamia angrily.

“What the f**k do you think you’re doing? Release my door right now!” She yelled.

“Where are you coming from?” Lamia asked and she scoffed.

“Stay away from my business unnecessarily,shouldn’t you do what you preach?? I might have annoyed you so much trying to be nice when naturally I’m not even a nice witch,I must be crazy” Natasha chucked.

“I don’t care what you think,it’s dangerous going to the human world without the masters………”

“That’s my business to think about,I will be the one who get punished if they find out not you,so why don’t you focus on the people you care for and stay away from me?” Natasha snapped and Lamia kept quiet.

“You really risked your life to save him?” He asked after the silence.

“Why? Are you worried? Well sorry,He’s grateful unlike someone I know and I will do it all over again because I can’t stop myself when I se someone who’s hurt,that’s just like me,you’re not special if that’s what you’re thinking,I hate seeing people get hurt but I save whoever I want,,you just happen to be among the whoever and I regret it so much,I guess this is enough reason to stay away from each other now” Natasha said.

“Do you have anger issues or something?” Lamia asked and Natasha frowned.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

“Isn’t it obvious enough that I hate seeing people getting hurt because of me also? What if it was impossible to heal you? I will live in guilt for the rest of my life,I hate it especially when it’s because of me……..”

“I don’t care about your explanation,I’m going to do what you’ve always wanted from now on” Natasha said and was about opening the door when they heard the bell.

“What the f**k is it this time?” Natasha groaned.

“Hey Nat,I’ve been looking for you all day,where were you?” Winter ran after her.

“I was sleeping” Natasha replied.

“Let’s go to the control room tomorrow,I wonder what’s going on” Winter said and they both walked away,leaving Lamia standing.

He sighed out loudly.

“What’s up bro” Eugene wrapped his arm around Lamia’s neck all of a sudden.

Lamia started walking without saying a word.

“Whoa,you’re not going to ask me to stay away?” Eugene asked.

“I’m not in the mood for that” Lamia muttered.

Eugene grinned and continue walking that way without letting go of him.

CONTROL ROOM**

Everyone was present aside Damon anyway.

“I wonder what this emergency is about” Skylar said.

“Bet it’s another mission” Cat-Girl smiled.

“Hope I’m selected this time around” Speedy said excitedly.

“Can’t believe you’re excited when you don’t even know if you will be selected yet” Bryant chuckled.

“Skylar should tell us…..or Speedy” Summer spoke up and everyone looked at her.

“Why?” Heaven asked.

“Aren’t their abilities almost the same? Speedy and travel in time,Skylar can see the future,so why not tell us what I happening? Or who will be selected for the mission this time around?” Summer smiled,a fake one obviously.

“You expect me to travel to the future just to know who will be selected? Are you that dumb?” Speedy asked.

“Why do worked up? Did you loose your abilities or something?” Summer smirked.

“Stop it” Lamia muttered and Summer glared at him.

“Who are you to stop me…..”

“Who are you to question their abilities and tell them what to do?” Lamia cut in and Summer scoffed.

“Hey Lamia,you must have thought everybody here likes you like some shameless girls here,but sorry I’m not one of them,so watch your mouth” Summer said.

“I might just commit suicide if someone like you is attracted to me or like me,I will probably be disgusted and it will feel like bugs walking on my precious skin,so stop acting dumb and stop thinking high of yourself as if I care about you to begin with” Lamia said calmly and everyone kept quiet in complete shock,except Summer who was fuming with anger.

She tried walking out of the room..

“Stop” Master Liam and Lilith came in.

“You have no right to be rude to your fellow students,if you don’t want to be punished,strain and watch yourself next time,you’re not above anyone here,do you understand?!” Master Lilith shouted.

“Yes master” Summer muttered.

Everyone bowed at a time.

“You must be surprised that this is sudden” Master Liam said.

There was silence.

“This is going to be our official first mission” Master Liam said.

“What do you mean by official? What about the one we went for?” Natasha asked.

“Because this time,we are fighting against the real enemy,the main reason why you were chosen to be here” Master Lilith replied.

“The real enemy? And that’s?” Ruben asked.

Master Liam face the TV screen and it came on,three bodies in the wood were showed.

“What….happened to them?” Speedy asked.

“They were the victims attacked recently by the wood monster who gave been killing hundred of people almost everyday” Master Lilith explained.

“Monster? What’s the monster like?” Lamia asked.

“See for yourself” Master Liam said and started showing them the wounds and cuts on their bodies.

“That looks like a vampire bite” Speedy said immediately and master Liam nodded before showing them another one.

“A wolf fang?” Natasha said.

Master Liam showed them another.

“Okay,this is insane,why are their faces black as of life was sucked out of them?” Eugene asked.

“Their lives were indeed sucked out” Sadie muttered.

“Like some powerful demons” Summer said.

“If that monster possess all these,Vampire,wolf,demon,and maybe we don’t know all,how are we supposed to fight against it?” Lamia asked.

“That’s exactly why you’re here,not for something else” Master Liam said and there was silence.

“Why do you think you were given the swords? For fun? It’s to slay the enemies,and this is the enemy” Master Liam said.

“When are we starting?” Natasha asked boldly and Master Liam smiled.

“I love your boldness” He said.

“I hate the sight of those humans dying for no reason,I will do everything within my power to see the end of this monster” Natasha said sincerely.

“We will all do our best!” Everyone chorused and bowed at a time.

“Good,this will be the end of our meeting. I will tell you when we are moving,but as usual,check out your names……we won’t go at a time as expected,so good luck to the ones for this mission” Master Liam said and immediately the names came on board in this form.

“Wow!!” Skylar jumped happily.

Cat-Girl hugged Heaven excitedly.

“Lamia and Natasha will lead the team” Master Liam said.

Natasha and Lamia exchanged glances and Natasha rolled her eyes before looking away.

“Sadie and Speedy will try their best to look into the future and see which day is perfect to go,I won’t do that this time around” Master Liam said.

“We will try our best master” Sadie and Speedy smiled.

“Others,you will all have something to do at the end of the day,but for now,that’s all” Master Lilith said.

“You may all leave” Master Liam ordered.

“Yes master!” They all chorused and bowed before going out.

“Hey Lamia” Heaven called the moment they came out.

Lamia left Eugene side and faced her.

“Hey,I’ve not seen you since we had breakfast” Lamia said and Heaven smiled.

Natasha scoffed when she saw them and walked away.

“Do you miss me?” Heaven asked and Lamia breathe out.

“Maybe” he said and she chuckled.

The rain started dropping lightly.

“Oh,I think you should go. We will talk tomorrow” Lamia said.

“Goodnight” Heaven waved at him and followed Cat-Girl.

Lamia was also about going to his room but suddenly stopped and went through another direction.

“Where is he going?” Heaven muttered all of a sudden and Cat-Girl looked at her.

“What?”

“Lamia isn’t going to his room” Heaven replied.

“How did you know? We left him” Cat-Girl said.

“I just know” Heaven mumbled with a slight smile.

Cat-Girl said nothing.

RIVERSIDE**

Natasha was sitting on the edge of the river,her two legs inside,she was controlling the water wave with her eyes.

“You will catch a cold” Lamia voice came from the back.

“It’s none of your business” Natasha muttered.

Lamia sighed and walked closer,he sat next to her.

“I want to be alone” Natasha said.

“You should go to your room then, This place is general….”

“Fine” Natasha snapped and made to get up but Lamia was quick to grab her hand.

“Leave me alone!” She half yelled.

“I’m sorry” Lamia said and she looked at him.

“For what? Huh?”

“I was too harsh on you,I’m sorry” Lamia said again and she rolled her eyes.

“But all the same,don’t try getting hurt in my place,okay?” Lamia said.

Natasha looked away.

“Are we good now?” Lamia asked.

“Who cares?” She scoffed.

“So you care about Damon more…..”

“Who said I care about that vampire? I just helped because I couldn’t stay without doing nothing” Natasha snapped and Lamia nodded.

“Why are you here tho? You should be with your favorite girl” Natasha muttered.

“I told her to go in,should I go and meet her?…..”

“Stop it” Natasha snapped and Lamia chuckled.

“You should pay for being harsh” She said.

“How?” Lamia asked and Natasha placed her head on his shoulder,the rain was still pouring gently.

“Let’s stay here for a while before we go in” She said and Lamia nodded.

Natasha smiled and closed her eyes.

Unknown to them,Heaven was listening to them behind a tree,she was in tears.

“How….dare she??” She mumbled,folding her fists angrily inside the rain.
