After the conference meeting, Janelle stayed behind with her Manager.
“that was a great idea Ma’am Janelle, I knew you’re always the right woman for this job,” she smiled.
“I’ve always been,”
“i don’t only want the JFH to remain here but for everyone to know it worldwide,”
“yeah, I have make arrangement for you at Mexico already and am sure the H.O.F will gladly accept our proposal,” her manager said.
“thanks a lot,” she smiled, her phone rang and she checked the caller which was Clark.
“if anything comes up don’t hesitate to tell me, i have to answer this call,” she smiled then walked to her office and was surprise to see Clark..
“Clark! she called in a low tone.
“what the heck are you doing here? she yelled.
“am not gonna stop until you forgive me Janelle. What you saw was nothing at all, i still love you,” he said remorsefully while she laughed sarcastically.
“i have had enough of your lies Clark and why aren’t you in Quezon.. huh?
“because i have sent a representative to represent me. I need to make peace with you before any of my performance. I love you babe and am sorry if you’re hurt by what you saw,” he pleaded trying to hug her but she withdrew back.
“i don’t force myself on people and i hate when people are trying to force themselves on me. Clark, I’ve always loved you, i love you so much that i had to give my body to you, wasn’t that even enough for you,” she said in a shaky voice trying to hold back her tears, she can’t shed a single tears right in front of him.
“all am asking is for your forgiveness,” he pleaded.
“is that the only thing you want, okay Clark i have forgiven you,” she said icily.
“now that you’ve got what you want can you leave my office,” she yelled angrily.
“babe.. just try to give me a chance to be a better person,”
“i only give people one chance, you can’t hurt me and still have me back. Clark they can never be us again because am serious when i say its over between us and leave my office or i call the security,” she said.
“okay.. but am not gonna give up that easily Jane,” he said before walking out. Janelle sat down in her seat and let out her tears. She loved him and but she have to let him go, it pointless holding onto to someone who can you betrayed you this much.

Janelle was in her room with Vera and Sally, she was done packing her stuff, their flight will take off the next day in the morning..
“so when are you coming home babe? Vera asked.
“when my head finally cool off from all this. I just want to be away from my dad and Clark. That assh-le have the gut to come to my office, he keep saying he loves me,” she sighed.
“you’ve heard that before,” Sally shook her head.
“i need time for myself and i guess staying in Mexico will do me good,”
“that’s a good idea you know, but am gonna miss you,” Vera smiled.
“we’ll always get in touch and i might not come back as soon as you expected because the worse part is that i agree to marry Gaston once am back from Mexico,”
“what! they both said in unison.
“why will you do that? Sally asked.
“because i and Clark are done and that’s what dad always wanted me to do- to marry Gaston but i also have my own plan,” she smile sadly.
“you don’t have to accept that,”
“it okay girls, am perfectly fine for now. You guys will gonna sleep over and i just asked my maid to make your favorite dishes, tonight will gonna be great you know,’ she chuckle.
“perfect! Vera giggle.
The door went open and Janelle was surprise to see her nanny. Nanny Loren, it been two weeks she went to her hometown and now she’s back.
“nanny! Janelle smiled and rushed to hug her.
“i miss you so much Janelle,”
“i miss you nanny,” Janelle smiled. Loren has been like a mother to her and she felt so good seeing her, maybe things might get better with her in the house.
“this my friends,” she introduced while they two girls greeted her.
“you’re always welcome Sally and Vera,” she smiled.
“Janelle can i talk to you for some time… please? Loren asked.
“sure nanny,” she smiled then looked at her friends.
“keep yourself busy, am coming back,” she smiled then walked out with Loren.
“Oh my! what happen to your hand? Loren asked surprise to see the small cut.
“it just a small cut nanny, please don’t make a big deal out of it,”
“how did you hurt yourself?
“please nanny!
“just tell me Janelle. Seb told me you guys have been quarreling recently,” she said.
“i got this from the kitchen when i was trying to make myself some tea,”
“what! that’s impossible Janelle, you don’t even know how to cook so how can you be in the kitchen while you’re so busy all day and you even have other maids to attend to you,”
“okay Nanny, i got myself cut because am damn tired of everything and everyone. Dad still insisted i marry Gaston,”
“and Clark? she asked, she knew about Clark because Janelle couldn’t stop talking about him to her.
“he cheated on me, i caught with another girl in bed. I’ve gotten over this nanny, i just want to moved on,” Janelle said trying to hold back her tears.
“but you still love him Janelle,”
“yes i do but that was then!
“i know Janelle but maybe you should try to forgive him,”
“i can’t. You just came back nanny, i think you need some rest we’ll talk about this when am back from Mexico,”
“oh Seb told me about that too,”
“yea, i gat business to do over their but will come back in two weeks time,” she said.
“i’ll miss you Janelle. Once you’re back we’ll talk about his,” Loren smiled then hugged her.
“welcome home once again, i have to go now,” Janelle smiled then walked back to her room..

The next day…✨
Janelle had breakfast with her friends at her personal dining room. She called her manager and she told her everything has been arranged, she also called three of her board members that she will go with.
“so you guys are leaving so soon? Vera asked.
“yea, i have to take my bath now. And thank you a lot girls. Yesterday was just the best i forgot all my pains,” she smiled.
“our plan worked out, we just want to see you happy. We don’t want you to cry over that assh-le you know,” Sally smiled.
“you’re the best girls,” she smiled then walked to her room, grabbed her towel and walked to the bathroom.

Maja packed her hair in a clean bun and smiled. She picked up her small side then slide her pen in it.
“you seems ready for the exams? Claire asked.
“yes mom, am perfectly ready but i feel nervous. This my final exams and i can’t believe am graduating soon,” Maja giggle.
“am so proud of you and i know your grades will be the best, just take care,” Claire pulled her into a hug.
“love you mom, i have to go,” Maja smiled as she hurriedly walked out.
….Maja arrived to the school and first the person she saw was Toby.
“hey,”
“Maja, I’ve been waiting for you,” he smiled.
“uhmm, seems you came pretty early today,” she said
“yeah! hope you’re ready for the exams?
“sure,” she nodded
“i need to see Selene we’ll talk after the exams,” she said.
“uh! okay, anyway you look so beautiful,”
“oh thanks! Maja smiled then walked away. She walked to the class and meet Selene busy with her books.
“hey girl,” Maja called then sat down on the seat next to her.
“what’s up?

“am just revising,” she smiled.

Claire decided to take a day off, her mind wasn’t at peace and she couldn’t tell why she kept thinking about Janelle. It twenty one years now without her daughter and she felt so terrible, she couldn’t even get her back again. She wished her father is here to advise her, she wanted to go back to manila to face Sebastian and have Janelle back but how could she just show her face after dumping her daughter with him for good twenty one years, it wasn’t so easy. She felt so happy knowing the good life Janelle has! especially having her fashion store, she knew everything about her, but she was always careful about Maja, so she won’t ever come across her sister.

Sebastian was couldn’t believe what he heard from one of friend who worked at the airport, he wanted to confirm that himself, he walked into his office through the reserved door used only by him. It led to other offices in the building and down to the car park in the basement, it was a large room and has an expensive decor. He kept walking to and fro. He then lifted the receiver of one of the telephone on his desk and punched the buttons.
“can i speak to the director of international flight? he asked and a male husky voice came in.
“who’s speaking? he asked.
“Am Sebastian Remirez and i just want to find out something. My daughter Janelle is on an official trip with some her staff and is suppose to have left the airport since morning for Mexico. I just want to know if something bad happen? he asked trying to control his shaky voice, he hope is not what he’s thinking and not what Jeff told him.
There was a brief silence at the other end.
“something went wrong, am sorry the plane crash,
“what!..
“the rescue team was sent immediately but they only found mangles bodies and no survivors,”
“we did our best but we are still putting things in order. We’ll release the necessary information to the public,” he added before hanging up. Another call came in on his phone and he discovered it was from Janelle’s company, they might probably heard about this he thought trying to hold back his tears. Ever since he lost Nessa and Kenny he never thought he’ll Janelle again, she was his only source of happiness.

Later in the evening..✨
The news of he plane crashed was all over the net and it’s now clear to everyone that Janelle didn’t survived since no one survived and some bodies were badly burnt.
Claire was already done with dinner and was waiting for Maja to return back to school, she on the tv and was shocked by the news. *Janelle the popular designer and also a diva lost her live in a plane crash, no survivor was found only mangled bodies* Seeing that in Tv, she quickly reach for her phone and was shocked to see same thing on the internet. It’s for real.

▪▪Maja arrived home that evening looking so tired and sad, somehow she wasn’t at peace and even after her exams she felt so scared about everything. Something might be wrong somewhere but she couldn’t place it.
“mom! she called as she rushed to Claire who was crying so bitterly at the sitting room, she was holding some pictures. She was able to hide those pictures from Maja fro good twenty one years, it a pictures of her and Janelle, when Janelle was just a baby.
“mom? what happen? Maja asked looking so worried.
“i lost her Maja, i lost her again,” Claire cried the more.
“lost who mom? what did you mean? Maja asked then took some pictures she kept on the table.
“who is this mom? Maja asked staring at the old picture.
“am not just a good mother, i felt so horrible. I wouldn’t get the chance to be with Janelle,” she sobbed.
“who is she mom? and why are crying. Am so confused!
“am sorry for hiding this from you for so long, i thought it was just the right thing to do,” she cried again.
“you have a sister somewhere,” she said while Maja was shocked hearing that from her.
“sister? she asked in whisper trying to figure out what her mom meant by that.
“her name is Janelle Remirez, she’s your twin sister,”
“what! Maja scoffed.
“what did you mean mother? i have a twin sister? where the heck is she.. then? Maja asked.
“am sorry dear, i have to make you pass throug this especially now that you’re writing your final exams, i don’t want to bother you with anything but i have to tell you this. Janelle got into a plane crashed today,”
“plane crash? are you serious about this mom? Maja asked with a shaky voice.
“your sister is dead,” Claire dropped the bombshell. Maja was shocked hearing all that! she was quiet for some time trying to understand what her mom meant by all that.
“i have a twin sister somewhere and now you just feel like telling me this after twenty one years? Maja scoffed.
“am sorry Maja,” Claire pleaded.
“oh! Maja laughed sarcastically then stood up.
“you said she’s dead right? so what the essence of telling me that now. You separated me from my twin sister for all this years and the only time you feel like telling me is when she’s finally dead? Maja asked angrily.
“i was waiting for the right time to do so. I know i was wrong…
“cut if off mom, you’re a horrible mother,” Maja yelled in tears then walked out in anger, slamming the door behind. She walked to a quiet place and sat down to cry, she was so confused. She has a twin ssiter all this while and her mom was perfectly good at hiding everything from her, she felt so cheated and betrayed, she doesn’t even know who her sister is or how she look like or behave like? all because of her mother. Now that she’s dead what’s the essence of telling her. Maja couldn’t help but to cry- to let out all her pains…

Alvary and his friend Jason were at the countryside to check one of Jason’s dad plantation. They were both frightened when the heard the roaring, ear splitting sound that vibrate the ground like a threatening earthquake. They quickly stood up and looked into the sky, what they saw made them to abandon what their doing and they run for cover. They squat the moment the reach the trees on the farmland. In their different position they could see what was happening across the sky.
The left part of anterior part of the airplane appeared in the sky like a fish with fins. The half plane roared across the sky, overhead the farmland and vanished beyond trees opposite the place the terrified observers lay. They were several cracking sound as the crashing plane came in contact with the branches of tress and made a whooshing noise. The smoke diffuse away completely except for the stench of gases in the air. Alvary and Jason began to walk across the farmland, they finally arrived where was tattered, they stood in shocked as they stare at it.
In what remained of a seat was trapped the battered body of a lady, Blood stream down her forehead, the clothes were covered with blood and traces of soots, the legs were twisted unnaturally, suggesting a fracture. The body look lifeless.
“OMG.. look at that Alvary,” Jason said then pointed at a lifeless body.
“Maja” he yelled looking so shocked, could this be his Maja… he missed her! after good seven years of being away from her.
“she might be alive, i can’t believe its her,” he said then summoned courage and touched the bloody lifeless body. The lady mo-ned slightly while he gasped.
“she’s alive.. we need to save her. Maja… Maja Marcelo.. after seven years, fate has brought her back to me this time and this way,” he said sadly as a tear escape from his eyes.
“are we doing the right thing? we should just call for help,” Jason suggested.
“we need to save her right away, we need to take her to the hospital first…,” he said while Jason nodded.

✨Maja woke up the next morning feeling so sad about the wh0le issue on ground, she could still remember what her mom told her and how she left the house so angry, she returned back late in the evening and meet her mom still awake probably crying, she just walked to her room and drifted to sleep and now it another new day but still has the same memory, she quickly took her bath and was ready for school, Claire was done preparing their breakfast and she called Maja.
“am gonna eat at school with Selene,” she said walking out of the door but Claire stopped her.
“it’s still too early to go to school Maja and you don’t even have a dim to buy something at the cafeteria,”
“i just want to be alone,” Maja said
“am sorry Maja, i know i didn’t get the chance to talk things out with you yesterday, if only you will give me a listening ear am willing to tell you everything about this family,” Claire said.
“lies! isn’t that what you’ve always said. Everything you told me was all lies,” Maja yelled.
“just calm down and listen to me. I didn’t intentionally take Janelle away from us. I did that to survive, to survive with you because i couldn’t handle the both of you. I was just twenty and also a school drop out, i have my dad to take care of then, i have to sort myself my college fees and also provide for my unborn babies then. Sebastian was heartless because he chase me out, he said he isn’t ready to have any child with a common maid because he already has a fiancee. He broke me completely, i wanted to abort those pregnancy to move on with school but my dad refuse to that! i decided to keep it but when i finally gave birth it was twins- you and Janelle, i was so happy but i couldn’t watch to see you grow in poverty. Sebastian has all it takes to make you girls grow in luxury so i had to dumped Janelle at his door step. At least i didn’t just dumped Janelle to someone else but it’s to her father and i even indicate that to him that this was his child. I have no option then, life was so difficult, very difficult, i regret doing all these and i feel so guilty but stop seeing me as bad person,” Claire cried as she explained everything to Maja who stood quietly and listen to her, she was surprise to hear that, she felt so pity for her mom.
“but that’s not enough reason for you to lie to me about my sister, my twin sister,” Maja said trying to hold back her tears.
“i know and am sorry for everything…,”
“it okay mom,” Maja let out her tears and hugged her mom.
“am sorry for all the bad words i said to you, i was just frustrated and sad because i just lose a sister, someone i don’t even know if she exist and she also don’t know if i exist,” Maja cried.
“everything will be fine Maja, i hope wherever Janelle is she’ll forgive her mother, i did that so she can have a good life,”

▪▪ Maja and her mom were already seated at their small dining table.
“thanks mom,” she smiled sadly.
“but mom can i ask you something? she asked and Claire nodded.
“where did they live? i mean my dad and sister? she asked.
“here in the Philippine, in manila and i have read a lot about Janelle on the internet she looks exactly like you, you’re identical twins,” Claire smiled sadly.
“am sorry i have to made us pass through this, i couldn’t get the chance to be with my daughter and you couldn’t get the chance to meet and know your sister,”
“It not your fault mom, everyone in your shoes will do the same. I guess am now angry with dad, why will he have to abandon you when he knew you were already pregnant at then. I’ve always knew those rich kids are spoilt brat and heartless,” Maja cuss.
“i regret ever knowing your dad, i was deceived by him, i was such a fool to have believe everything he told me but i still don’t know what even pushed me to give out Janelle to him,”
“it okay mom,” Maja cooed.
“am okay, i guess i have to go now,” she stood up.
“please take care Maja, you’re the only family i have left,” Claire hugged her.
“i love you,” she muttered.

“what! you mean you have a twin sister? Selene asked surprised by what Maja told her. They were seated at the reading area where Maja poured out all her heart problems to her.
“uhmm,”
“but how did it happen?
“it a long story but the painful part of the story is that Janelle is dead already and i didn’t get to meet nor see her, my own twin sister,” Maja said bitterly.
“oh! that so sad you know, am sorry about that,” Selene said then clasped there hands together.
“i never got the chance to experience that feeling of having a sibling, a brother or a sister. You know i always admire twins especially those two girls during my high school days, they were so sweet to each other and they look alike, i wonder my own life have to be different from everyone,”
“you might have a bitter story now or even later but believe me its gonna end so sweet,” Selene said.
“i don’t think so Selene. It started with Alvary, i lost him and i don’t even know if i will ever see him, it not been long he left when i lost my grandpa and now a sister, my life will never get any better,” Maja said in a teary voice as a tear escape from her eyes. Selene looked at her sadly then hand a handkerchief to her.
“this too shall pass Maja. Just try to be strong so you could focus on this exams. Remember you promise to have a best grades..”

Everyone mourn the death of Janelle. Sebastian was sad about the dead of his daughter when he confirmed about the plane crash. Report also said that the rescue team was sent immediately but they found mangles bodies but no survivor which make everyone believe she’s truly dead. Sebastian was more devastated, he felt so guilty about everything, he wasn’t even in a good terms with Janelle when she traveled. The Murphy’s sent their condolences to him and told him Janelle was never ready to marry their son so Gaston is getting married anytime soon to someone else and that’s mean the deal was off cut since Janelle is no more. Clark felt also felt guilty as well because Janelle didn’t even tell him she’ll be travelling, the news of her death came as a bombshell to him. He felt so stupid for what he did to her, he loved her so much and all he ever wanted was for her forgive him which she never did, he felt so guilty for everything.

Alvary stood beside Janelle, her head was wrapped with a bandage, same thing with her leg, she sustain a fracture in her left leg and she got some bruises on her body. Alvary was glad she was able to survived the plane crashed without getting any burn or anything, he still couldn’t believe he will see Maja all these years as he thought.
“Maja,” he called softly then k-ssed her forehead.
“how is she doctor? Alvary asked.
“after undergoing series of treatment, she’s out of danger but she has a temporarily loss of memory but not to worry cos she’ll soon recovery her memories,” the doctor explained.
“what! that means she couldn’t remember anything from the past? how long will it gonna take for her a remember a thing doc? Alvary asked.
“sooner or later, maybe if you still have something or someone from her past that will help, she also need a therapist,”
“oh,” Alvary said sadly as he stare at Janelle thinking it was Maja- his Maja and also his childhood sweetheart.
“how are you feeling now? he asked her.
“a little bit fine,” Janelle replied blankly.
“who are you? she asked.
“Am Alvary. Your Alvary, Maja, am happy to see you again. Fate has brought us together again but sadly in this way. Am glad you’re still alive that’s the most important thing to me,” he smiled while she looked so confused at him.
“it okay.. you might not understand what am saying now, but i will help you regain your memories, i promise,” he smiled.

✨Alvary was at home with his friend Jason as they talked about Janelle.
“she’s awake but she can’t remember a thing! Alvary said sadly.
“are you sure she’s Maja? Jason asked.
“am sure of that Jason and they doc said she’ll discharged next week. I hope she regains her memories. I thought i will never get to see her again but we meet,”
“it so sad she have to be in that condition,”
“i felt so angry with her for leaving. She didn’t keep to her promise because she couldn’t wait for me, we were separated for this seven years and am sure she moved on already but seeing her in that condition make me forget about everything and everyone and it remind of our childhood memories, i know i can’t stay mad at her forever and she might have her own reasons of leaving,”
“yea, let just hope she regain her memories and that way you’ll be able to know everything,”
“yeah! thanks Jay,”
“i have to go, gat some business to do,” Jason stood up.
“thanks dude,” Alvary smiled and accompanied Jason outside to where he’s car was parked…..
He walked to his room and picked up his phone, he saw two missed calls already from Juliana. Immediately her call came in again, he sighed before picking up.

📞 “Alvary, where the heck are you? am already at the club? she yelled angrily.
📞”am busy, today’s was hectic, after work i have to go to the hospital to check on a friend,”
📞”and is that person better than me. Alvary why are avoiding me these days?
📞 “am not avoiding you, am just busy, like so busy,” he said and with that, he cut off the call and switched off his phone knowing she’ll still call him again.
“Alvary? Lena called.
“mom! you’re back,” he smiled then hugged her.
“how is the girl, how is Maja? she asked.
“she awake mom but….,”
“but what? she quickly cut him off.
“she can’t remember a thing but the doc said with time she’ll,” he said.
“huh! that’s a bad news but am glad she still survived, isn’t that a miracle. How can someone survived a plane crashed without getting any burn or seriously injured,”
“she was injured mom, she loss her memory, got lost of bruises and also had a fracture on her left leg,” Alvary said bitterly.
“at least she’s alive,” she said.
“am glad you were able to see her after all these years,”
“that’s the most important thing now,” he said.

▪▪Janelle was discharged from the hospital and Alvary took her home.
It’s evening already and Janelle was seated on the wheelchair at the sitting room, her leg was healing up but she still find it difficult to work on her own aside from using a crutches.
“am feeling so tried already,” Janelle said to Lena, Alvary’s mom.
“okay dear. I will just get something in my room and i will talk to Alvary right away,” Lena said then hurried to her room upstairs.
Janelle stared at the big sitting room, she wondered who those people are and why they decided to save and bring her to their house. She tried so hærd to remember anything but atimes she would see different memories aside from the one Alvary had been telling her. She picked up her crutches and try to stand up but felt so much pain in her leg, she took a step forward, another step forward but slipped and fall down.
“Maja,” Alvary yelled, he was shocked to see her down, he quickly rushed and helped her up.
“Maja, you don’t have to stress yourself,”
“am just tired of sitting all day, i just want to go back to my room,” she said.
“what just happen? Lena asked as she walked in holding a laptop.
“she fell down! are you hurt in anyway? Alvary asked looking all worried.
“am fine,” Janelle smiled.
“okay, i will just take you back to your room,” he said then carried her in his arms.
“you don’t have to be doing this everyday, it will be better if i try to walk on my own,’ she said.
“i won’t allow you to stress yourself, he doctor also mention that,” Alvary smiled then took her to her room, and gently placed her on her bed.
“thank you, i just feel like am a burden to you and your mom,” Janelle said sadly.
“of course not. You’re still my friend Maja and am happy having you back, so happy. But do you still remember anything? he asked, Janelle was quiet for sometime.
“you said my name is Maja? she asked.
“yeah!
“but it sounded so odd, i have never heard that name before and it doesn’t seems like it my name. I think my memories are gradually coming back but it somehow not clear, it just so difficult to understand for now,” she said, Alvary held her hand and squeeze it softly.
“we use to be best of friends and whenever am sad, you always like it when you pulled my ears or cheeks,” he smiled pulling her ears which make her smiled. She felt so comfortable being with around him and she find him so handsome, very handsome and perhaps the most handsome guy she has ever seen.
“i still have your letter Maja, what about you? do you still have my necklace? he asked while Janelle stare at him not knowing what to say.
“huh! am sorry. I hope you regain your memory soon but i guess this letter will be of help,” he said then stood up.
“just a minute please,” he said before walking out of the room.
Janelle heaved a sighed of relief when he left, she was so confused about what he told her- was she his childhood friend as he said and what letter was he talking about. She tried to remember anything but nothing came.

😃 “am back,” Alvary smiled, he walked and moved towards her on the bed.
“i still keep it safe,” he said while Janelle stared at the paper he was holding, she collected it from him and read it- to her it doesn’t look like her hand writing and even thou she can’t remember a thing, but she’s sure this wasn’t from her. Who could he be possibly talking about..?
“you didn’t keep to your promise because you left San Francisco before i came, i wonder why you have to disappear without telling anyone i was so frustrated and so mad at you but not anymore. I thought i’ll never get to see you, i thought everything was over between us, i thought it was the end of our love story and also friendsh¡p. Maja we promised to wait for each other…
“uhmmm… Alvary, i guess i need to sleep now,” Janelle said while he nodded feeling so disappointed by that. He thought it was the right time to talk about all these and with that she might remember something.
