Anita POV

Anita felt her head ache as she sat up yawning while looking round the room in a arrange way. it seems everything was blur to her or maybe cause of the banging going on her head.

She lazily got down from the bed heading towards the kitchen in her room, she wanted to make coffee and get some panadol to relieve her of the pain she was feeling when the door flung open making her turn around to see who cane in.

It was with clutching a napkin which she used to clean her hands, seems like she was coming from the kitchen.

“You’re awake, I could have prepared hot coffee for you while coming if I knew you were awake cause the last time I came to check on you, you were still asleep and I didn’t want to wake you” Ruth said flopping on the leather couch in her room as she sat down comfortable with smiles on her face.

“Oh, I was about to go make it when you cane in so what’s that smile on your face” she knew that smile wasn’t an ordinary smile. its a suspicious one.

“Well just that I couldn’t believe you would ask that handsome guy to k-ss you. seems like you guys have met before or wait is there something you aren’t telling me” Ruth asked looking at Anita straight in the eyes like she’s gonna see the truth there.

“Oh my. that’s doc Fred, did I ask him to k-ss me.”Anita thought trying to think of what to tell Ruth who was already looking at her curiously.

But what would she tell her that would convince her there’s nothing going on between she and doctor Fred. she drank too much and was obviously saying foolish things.

She wished she didn’t go out with doc Fred. she knew something ridiculous would happen cause she just couldn’t hold her emotions fr prorating itself but why is she opening her heart so easily. she expect it to be so tightened cause of the hell she had suffered from Carlos.

Like a splash of cold water in her face. reality now dawn to her, she couldn’t believe again she’d begged doc Fred to k-ss her like that. to sed-ce her for pity’s sake!

She looked at Ruth questioning glance. she was still waiting to get response from her, cringing in,side as she realized how pathetic she just have sounded.

She couldn’t remember when she’d have ever done anything so rash, so stupid. so embarrassing to admit to after the fact.

“You aren’t saying anything so it means you’re in love with him beside I also liked him too, he’s cool and nice and I think he will make a different husband than useless Carlos” Ruth bitterly said, hissing at the name she called which disgusted her.

Anita gritted her teeth together.” he’s the doctor that treated me before I came here and unfortunately he was also transfered here. believe me, I really didn’t want to go out with him cause I know its gonna end like this and I don’t love him though I like him the way you do” she said to her but deep in,side of her, she knows she was lying. her feelings for him is kind of deep.

“I know you but if you’re in love with him its good and normal beside I can see it in his eyes that he love me. why not hang out more with him to know more about him, who knows he could be your man”

Ruth looked at her as silence echoed the room. she knows she’s lying about not having feelings for him beside her eyes was saying different thing but she isn’t ready to argue beside she was old enough to know the wrongs and right and making decision herself.

Time would tell if she love him or not.

Doc Fred POV
Enough light streamed in through curtains the maid had left open cause he came home last night feeling ridiculous.

He flicked them on, flooding the over done south- western decor with light. the garnish blue and white bedspread leaped out at him. the room was clean, and all thanks to his two maids who he had maintained a distant relationsh¡p with them.

He closed the curtains and headed for the shower, stripping as he went. unclad, he leaned back against the slick tiles and let the water sluice over him.

He lifted his face to the water. willing himself to relax. he needed to clear his mind, so he could go to work in a few hours beside he needed sleep.

Not that there was much chance for that, he acknowledged, twisting the water off. if last night was ant indication he’d spent half of tonight trying to think of Anita Medline unclad and heavy eyed with pleasure from his k-sses, the other half thoroughly enjoying the image.

He slung a towel around his neck and padded into the bathroom. just as well she had such an amazing beauty, he though grimly.

THREE MONTH LATER
Anita had succeeded in hiding from doctor Fred since she forced him to k-ss her, she focused more on her work and she was known by everyone in the company who wanted to associate with her.

Fred thought he was moving too fast cause now he truly understand the word called love. he tried to forget her but couldn’t.

He made sure he kept sending flowers to her and kept a little distant but that was fruitless since she was divorced and he’s afraid someone may come for her more reason he has decide to hit the nail straight.

He branched to the merchant who was know for making fabulous ring, he told him to make a very expensive ring with her name on it and a necklace.
Nothing is ever too cheap for him to get for her, he’s ready to spend all he have to win her heart.

Anita was watching watching program on the TV when her phone rang and she didn’t realize till the fifth time before she did.

Her wh0le concentration was on the play she was watching.” hello” she said wryly.

“Mom. why did you forget me like that?. have been calling you and this the fifth time, you forget today is my birthday mom” Mira’s accusing voice came through the phone, her voice sounded so hurt and bittered.

Anita sat upright as soon as she heard her daughter voice and immediately her eyes drift to the calendar hanging beside the door. oh good lord, September 15, how could she forget her angel day.

“An sorry sweetie, I didn’t even realize that am……” she got interrupted by Mira who was devastated.

“You don’t have to keep apologizing when its obvious you’ve forgotten me beside I just want to tell you that you should thank granny for celebrating it big for me and am not sure I would be able to come to visit you. I love living with granny, have a nice day”.

Mira POV
snapping the phone of before bursting into tears, she really missed her mother.

She thought her mom would be the first person to wish her happy birthday but she forgot.

This was supposed to be her happiest day but it turns out to be her saddest day on her life. a day her mother want beside her to wish her happy birthday, to sing for her.

Seems like am no longer needed again, Mira thought as she blew her nose with tissue. she made sure her face didn’t portray she cried before going out to meet her grandparent who had org-nized a big party for her, she didn’t want to spoil it but she wish her mom was there to witness her 6th birthday.

Anita

She stared at the phone. she couldn’t believe that Mira hang the call on her, it was obvious she was so hurt.

This was the first time that could be counted in history that she forgot her daughter birthday.

She knew how the girl would be hurting, she felt like calling back but she was just too hurt that she couldn’t even remember her daughter birthday. she felt some pain deep in her heart and this was all Carlos fault.

Carlos POV

“I would have Anita and Mira back. I can’t just let them out of my life so easily, kelvin please talk to Anita to come back beside I still love her” Carlos said remorseful in pretence for kelvin to believe he was truly sorry but kelvin isn’t a man to be deceived so easily like that.

“Love. I don’t expect to hear you said love like you know its meaning. I didn’t expect you to come into my office to tell me bullshit of lies, you were given lot of opportunities but you didn’t heed to it. can you remember how you walked out of your office cause I was telling you the truth which was bitter to you. if you think you can come here to deceive me into binding you and Anita together which I know can’t be possible.{kelvin paused allowing his word to sink into him before he continued} and I want you to know that Anita has moved on and am sure by endin
g of next year, she’s gonna get married again.”

That word taunted Carlos and he flopped from the chair and made to go cause his meeting with kelvin yield no result.

Am going to have Anita back even if it means blood will flow, he said then wore his dark eyeshade and left the office banging the door hærd.

Kelvin chuckled before bursting into laughter, holding his chest tightly. that was a mere threat, kelvin thought before sighing the doc-ment which was earlier bought by his secretary before Carlos came in.
