I was lucky to see paul’s bike that carried me from my house, my head feels hot, I think I have an headache, we almost get to the school when Paul asks me to come down.
” the road to your school is under construction, you’ll have to trekk the remaining one ”
He said
” you mean I’ll have to walk to school ”
I ask, while touching my forehead as if it would stop the headache
” if you like walk, it you like fly”
He snapped impatiently.
I didn’t even wait to argue with him, I dust my shoes and start walking when a black Chevrolet parks two steps in behind me, the driver opens the door and Viktor and his friends come out of the car
” hi girlfriend ”
He waves at me with a smile ☺
I hiss and continue walking
” hey wait! ”
He catches up with me and tries to grab my hand
” what the hell is your problem,let go of my arm! ”
” we had a deal Erica, so why all this attitude ”
I scoffed
” hi, I’m Quinton, Viktor told me you’re his girlfriend, this is my twin brother Quentin ”
He flashed me a smile, revealing a row of perfect white teeth
I look at the two brothers again, trying to determine how they are twins, the only resemblance between them is in facials, they have the same cute face, the same oval face and dark skin but Quinton is more built and athletic while Quentin has a lean and gaunt physique, at least Quentin had the common sense to keep his mouth shut.
” nice to meet you Erica ”
Quinton stretches his hand, awaiting a handshake
I shake him while glaring at him and he takes the cue that I don’t like him, he crossed to the other side of the road and he and his brother started walking to school.
” oh my God! Who did this to you ”
Viktor said
I look around in confusion until my eyes settles on what he was looking at, the stripes and scars on my arm, I wasn’t able to hide it because of my short-sleeved uniform.
I try to act nonchalant and shrug it off
But the look of pure concern in his eyes stilled me for a moment.
” this doesn’t look good on your beautiful skin at all, I’ll ask my brother when I get home about some drugs you can use for it”
He zips open his bag and brings out his school’s sweater.
” put this on, the girls at school can be really cruel, I don’t want anyone making fun of my girlfriend ”
” Viktor, about the deal we had, can we pretend it never happened ”
” why? We had a deal already and why are you afraid of being my girlfriend, are you afraid that you’re going to fall head over heels in love with me ”
The bastard!
He said with a smug grin, I hit his head with his sweater
” who is going to fall in love with you, definitely not me!, I’m only giving you a chance to back out now before its too late ”
He had the nerve to chuckle
Honestly! Does he think I’m joking
” I chose you to be my girlfriend for a reason, you’re different from all the girls at school and I have no reason to back out”
” really! I’ll give you a reason very soon ”
I roll my eyes at him and he only smiles
He is not really taking me serious
” here, take, I don’t really need to wear it, they can only stare at me, they wouldn’t dare to insult me to my face ”
I hand him the sweater
” don’t be dramatic, put it on ”
I could inhale his special cologne on the sweater, it’s a bit different from the school’s sweater, it has more white stripes and it has a little gold medallion with ‘VIK ‘ inscribed at the back
I put it on and his cologne fills my nostrils, the arms were a bit long for me so he helped me tuck them in.
Great! So I now smell like this jerk
” so it’s because of this small poth0le that the road was closed ”
I said when I got to the place where the road is being constructed 🚧, a Chinese man and several people were trying to fix the road.
” that small poth0le can lead to something big if it’s not quickly taken care of ”
Viktor said, running a hand through his hair.
His hair is styled already, is there a need to touch it again
” just like your decision can lead to something big if it’s not quickly changed ”
He laughed this time
” Erica oh 😁, I know you act all crazy but deep down you’re just a sweet girl ”

Definitely no one has ever described me like that.
I try to tell him that he has made a wrong assumption but I just decide to keep my mouth shut, I’ll rather show him just how crazy I am.
” I agree with you Vicky, I’m just a sweet girl, in fact sweeter than sugar ”
My mouth curves into a smile and he smiles right back until his mind registers what I just called him
” what! You’re calling me Vikky again!, wait till I catch you ”
He starts chasing me and I took to my heels and fled, laughing as I ran and that was how I bumped into Keith, our foreheads crashed into each other and my head rings with pain, due to the headache I was having before, my head started vibrating
” ouch! ”
I rub a hand on my temple
” I’m sorry, I didn’t see you coming or else I’d have moved ”
He said
” I’m really the one that’s supposed to be giving the apology, sorry for bumping into you ”
” it’s alright but who was chasing you ”
He said while looking around
” oh just that stupid Vik..
I couldn’t complete my sentence when Viktor appears in front of me
Viktor and Keith glares at each other with hostility or am I just imagining it
Keith holds my hand firmly,
” so about your practicals, have you done it ”
Keith said, ignoring Viktor who was standing, waiting for us to walk together.
” yeah I have, um Viktor, I’ll see you at school, I have some questions to ask Keith about the practicals ”
” alright girlfriend ”
He said with a wink before striding off.
I flushed to my roots,
” Erica, is he really your boyfriend, are you guys dating ”
Keith asked immediately Viktor was out of earshot
” of course not, he is just pulling my legs, why would you say that ”
I said more vehemently than I intended, my friendsh¡p with Keith was something I was trying to develop, it was always me that went to meet him with my books, telling him to help me with my school work just to create an opportunity to talk to him, he was mostly cold and aloof but now he is even striking a conversation with me so how can I possibly ruin it by telling him about my stupid deal with Viktor
” but you’re wearing his sweater ”
My eyes went to the blue and white sweater that I’m putting on
Damn it!
Why did I agree to wear it in the first place!!
” it’s not what you think, I have erm scars that’s why he gave it to me ”
” I’m really sorry, I guess I just jumped into conclusions without knowing what really happened ”
We talked all the way to school, he told me something really funny and I was laughing uncontrollably, when I got to the schoolgate
I saw some group of girls, wearing thier lab coats posing and taking pictures

So they have turn this practical to a fashion show!
And last last, it’s girls like them that would not know anything
All of a sudden people started staring at me, one of them even points a finger at me
😮why is that poor girl putting on my oppa’s sweater
🤔 I think she probably stole it, my oppa would never give his sweater to trash like her
😯 Janet do you think we should go and collect it from her, it’s an insult to my oppa for such girl to be wearing his Sweater
🙃 lily , are you mad, don’t you know what you’re saying, do you want her to kill you , don’t you know that she is a psycho
I couldn’t stop chuckling
At least this girls had the common sense to stay away
” you seem to have made a kind of reputation for yourself in this school”
Keith said with a wry smile
I couldn’t help chuckling the more
I love my reputation in the school
Sasha’s car stops in front of the school and a new driver opens the door
She stepped out of the car and I was amazed at how perfect she always manage to look
Her fair skin was literally glowing and her hair was tied into a bun.
I wave at her and I saw a look of pure hostility flash across her face as she saw me
But it was almost as if I imagined it as her face breaks into a smile, she waves at me and comes to meet me
” hey Erica, please just follow me to ‘EAT MORE ‘ ”
EAT MORE is the restaurant nearest to our school, most students stop there to get something to eat
” alright Keith, later, ”
I said to Keith as he walks into the school
I and Sasha walks hand in hand to EAT MORE
