MY BIRTHDAY PARTY
Episode 25.
 
Stella arrived at the guys place and they warmly received her.
“I’ll start by saying am very sorry for your loss, that was indeed a terrible loss anyone can have, she said.
“Its okay, what can we offer you? Desmond asked.
“Nah nothing, I got refreshed at my friend’s place, she said.
 
“OK, we heard about this business deal you came up with, what’s it about? Joseph asked.
“OK, I’ll let you speak with him yourself, she said bringing out her phone and dialed the number.
 
“Hello baby, A matured voice came on phone that surprised Stella..
‘Hi, am with the guys now, please talk to them, She said pointing the phone wondering who will take the phone which Joseph did putting it on speaker.
 
“good evening there, Joseph said.
“Evening, how are you guys doing? John asked.
“Very good thank you, Joseph replied.
“OK straight to the point, Stella convinced me to try you guys which I don’t care to know you guys too but I hope you’ll be reliable just like Stella told me, John said.
“We’ll try our best, what do you want us to do? Joseph asked.
 
“Very simple, get me 5 young girls alive and unhurt, then you get your pay, John said and Joseph scoffed.
“That’s not our job, Joseph said.
“What’s your job? Assassination? Don’t worry I don’t deal on for a start but if you don’t want to, I gat people to do that for me, John said.
 
“How much is the pay? Desmond asked.
“1 million, John replied and the guys looked at themselves.
“Just for getting 5 girls 1 million? Simeon asked.
“Any problem with that? John asked.
“No its cool, so what’s the arrangement? Desmond asked.
 
“The girls will be brought to somewhere I will tell you on the day of delivery which will be on the 10th of next month. You can as well use tomorrow as 1st to start getting your catch but don’t forget, the girls must be unhurt else they won’t be useful anymore to me, John said while the guys was quiet.
 
‘Is it a deal? John asked after some seconds of silence.
“What about the pay? Robert asked.
“It will be on the day of delivery, I do no part payment or pay before service as you guys do call it. I am a very straight forward person and I stand by my words. 1 million is a deal and as you deliver the girls, the money will be handed over to you, John said and the guys sighed.
 
“Deal, Victor said and the guys looked at him.
“Alright, try to stay clear from trouble and take care of my girls. On the 10th, I will inform Stella where they will be delivered. Have a good day guys, John said and the line went dead.
 
“Is that man for real? Just kidnapping of 5 girls 1 million? Simeon asked Stella and she smiled.
“If you make deal with him for just a month, you’ll be counting in billions. This is the smallest job he can offer and he wants to see if you guys are reliable first. So if you can make him happy, congratulations I will say, Stella said.
 
“The day of delivery is not favorable for me, that’s Winifred birthday and I have a lot to do, Joseph said.
“Wait o, are you still planning for that big birthday with our ruined account? Simeon asked.
“It won’t change anything, I will celebrate her birthday, Joseph said.
 
“So what is going to happen? Desmond asked.
“You guys can deliver the girls but he can help with the getting of the girls, that’s no big deal, Stella came in.
“That’s fine by me too, as long as I won’t be distracted on that day, Joseph said.
“Alright girl, thank you, Robert said to Stella.
“Its no problem, she said smiling.
“Can we have a drink somewhere? She asked victor who was just quiet.
“Sure, I’ll go wear my shirt, Victor said getting up to His room. He came out later and the guys thanked Stella once again as she left with Victor.
 
“Though its stressful but 1 million will go a long way for us, Desmond said.
“I don’t know, am just feeling weird about this, Joseph said.
“Maybe because its our first time doing this and the kidnapping of young girls is just where my heart skipped, Robert said.
“We are not killing them are we? Who knows maybe he has a more better plan for them thats why he wants them alive and unhurt, Simeon said.
“You have a point. Tomorrow the catch begins, Desmond said………..
 
The guys gave themselves a big hi five as it went smoothly. “So you got such a voice John? Alfred asked.
“Ah I use this voice to act father part in any drama, John replied and they laughed.
“That was cool, I can’t believe I was sweating in my boxers already, Oliver said.
“You don’t mean it, Johnson shouted.
“Seriously I was so scared, but at least its over now, Oliver replied and heaved.
 
“This guys are so broke that they didn’t think twice to accept the offer, Alfred said.
“Yea that’s right, and for that birthday party I am thinking of exposing Joseph on that day, Patrick said.
“No you will hurt Winifred, Oliver said.
 
“What are you saying? Winifred knows who he is and she won’t be surprised, Patrick said.
“I don’t want her to feel bad especially on her day, common, Oliver said.
“Guy you fixed this date yourself, what are you saying now? Just like Patrick said, she wont be surprised because she knows who Joseph is. And that will give you the opportunity to show yourself to her too right? Alfred asked.
“That girl loves you, Patrick added that made Oliver looked at him.
 
“Are you for real? Oliver asked.
“You didn’t know? Alfred asked.
“Common you guys must be joking, she only sees me as a friend, Oliver said.
“Really? Patrick and Alfred chorused.
“What? Oliver asked.
 
“What about you, do you see her as a friend too? Alfred asked.
“Will he say no to that? Then what’s this stress all about? Johnson said.
“Common guys I just want to put her out of this mess and i so much appreciate you all for your help, Oliver said.
“You haven’t answered the question o, you love her don’t you? Patrick asked.
“I do, Oliver replied.
“Then what makes you think she can’t feel the same way too? John asked.
“She’s still living in her past, Oliver replied.
 
“erm erm erm, so is that why you bought a ring for her in advance? Johnson asked.
“Ring? The guys asked in chorus.
“Are you spying on me? Oliver asked Johnson.
“like seriously? I gat better things to do than that guy. I saw you holding it na and looking at it so passionately, Johnson replied and Oliver sighed.
“Just leave me alone please. Winifred can’t possibly fall in love with me that quickly. she barely knows me, Oliver asked.
 
“Did you expect her to know your ancestors first before falling in love with you? Johnson asked.
“Urghhhh you guys just leave me alone please, Oliver said and went to his room.
“Do you know that guy ancestors before you made him your friend? Johnson asked Alfred.
“Johnson let him be, he just want to be sure first because he’s scared of what his last date did to him, Alfred replied.
 
“Gist me o, what did she do? Johnson asked.
“Well they started as friends and became close for months. He fell deeply in love with her and he thought she felt same for him, as a shy guy he didn’t confess it to her but the babe was dating another. When i disturbed him to tell her how he really feels, he summoned courage and told her but all he heard was “I’m so sorry Oliver, I love you as a friend and a brother. I already have a date i love so much, sorry I didn’t tell you that but we can still be good friends”. My guy returned home and fell sick, Alfred narrated while Johnson kept holding his l-ips.
 
“Its funny right? Alfred asked and Patrick burst out laughing instead while followed with Johnson.
“Guy why you first laugh na, but that babe get mind o, Johnson said while laughing.
“Its Oliver fault,he would have told her what he really feels rather than hiding in the umbrella of a good friend and brother, John said.
“And he’s still doing the same mistake with Winifred. Affliction shall not rise the second Time please, Johnson said.
“Affliction you say, we will hærd against that, Patrick said.
“Okay its Oliver you guys are mocking like this ba? The gods must hear this, Oliver! Alfred shouted while the guys fell on him covering his mouth…………
 
That night Winifred couldn’t sleep as she kept looking at her phone hoping Oliver will just call. She couldn’t help but miss him and she fell asleep with him in her thoughts.
 
The next day she woke up and saw a text message welcoming her to her birth month. She smiled at that and dialed the number but it wasn’t reachable, that was strange to her and Lily came out from the kitchen.
“Happy new month babe, mhen this is your month and you were suppose to cook this morning but you woke up late, Lily said.
“Sorry i slept late, thank you but someone wished me a new month first but the number isn’t reachable, Winifred replied.
“Whatever, Lily said.
“Jealousy! Winifred shouted and dropped the phone to attend to herself………..
