Part 37 – It All Looks Good

[The Next Day]

[Keith]

I wasn’t born yesterday, I know that my wife was in an accident because of Joshua. I spent hours and hours at The Samuels Orphanage and Joshua was nowhere to be seen. Two can play a game that he’s playing. He can do anything to me but once he goes after my wife, he’s digging his own grave.

I called Thabang to my workplace.

Thabang: Hey friend

Me: Hey. Please sit down

Thabang: Sure

Me: I need you

Thabang: What’s going on?

Me: Can you please get someone to attack Jasmine?

Thabang: Jasmine? Joshua’s wife?

Me: Yes

Thabang: Why?

Me: Because Joshua was behind my wife’s accident yesterday

Thabang: How sure are you?

Me: I am very sure. I know Joshua knows my wife now. He can’t harm me so he thought of harming my wife in order to get to me

Thabang: I see

Me: So are you going to help me or not?

Thabang: That’s why I am back. I am back for revenge and you know that

Me: (Smiles) Thank you

Thabang: (Smiles) You are welcome

Me: Your cousins are stuck at the orphanage

Me: Yes, your cousins

Me: Since twenty two years ago and four years ago

Thabang: I am lost

Me: Wame is still alive and she’s now twenty two years old

Thabang: Wame? My mother’s sister’s daughter?

Me: Yes

Thabang: Didn’t she die in the fire?

Thabang: Where is she? Is she still beautiful? Does she still have big, afro hair? Who’s her boyfriend? What…

Me: Are you serious? I am not going to answer you

Thabang: I am sorry, I am just excited

Me: I know you are but there’s bad news

Thabang: What is it?

Me: She lives with Rita at the orphanage. Rita finally got Wame after so many years of trying

Thabang: NO!!!

Me: Yep

Thabang: But how?

Me: Wame’s parents are no more

Thabang: She succeeded in killing them?

Me: We don’t know if she’s the one who killed them but I think it’s her and Joseph

Thabang: There’s no one else

Me: Wame’s little sister is Warona and she’s four years old. She’s so adorable and she talks too much. You’d swear she’s fiften years old

Thabang: For how long did you know all of this?

Me: Few days

Thabang: And why are you only telling me now?

Me: I had to be sure. Wame is now a woman, I couldn’t recognize her until she told Alex everything about herself. The first time I spoke to her was when Alex forced me to video chat with her and believe me, I couldn’t recognize her until I knew everything

Thabang: I was supposed to take care of her. I really failed

Me: You didn’t fail. You thought that she died

Thabang: I should’ve looked for her

Me: But we did, you know we did

Thabang: It wasn’t enough, friend. Just after looking for her and her parents, I stole Joseph’s money and moved to Australia

Me: Stop blaming yourself. We both failed. We gave up too soon, stole Joseph’s money and moved to Australia. When I was eighteen years old, I moved to USA with my brother, Alex. You are not the only one who feels guilty for what happened in the past. I feel responsible for my sister’s death. I should’ve protected her

Thabang: Don’t do that to yourself. You were also still young and Rita was in control of your sister

Me: Let’s not talk about this, please

Thabang: Okay, no problem but where’s Nina?

Me: The orphanage

Thabang: Is she still Rita’s friend even after what happened?

Me: I don’t think so

Thabang: Truly speaking, I miss her

Thabang: Please show me Wame and Warona’s pictures

Me: Alex can be the one to help you but he doesn’t have Warona’s pictures

Thabang: I need to see Alex right away

Me: Okay sure

Thabang: Where is he?

Me: He is making preparations

Me: To meet with Wame

Thabang: Where?

Me: At some resort

Thabang: Okay, I am leaving. I’ll talk to you later

Me: Don’t forget to send people to attack Jasmine

Thabang: Sure

He got up and left.

I don’t know why he’s trying to be strong, I saw tears in his eyes. He’s really hurt and I know that when he’s hurt, he’ll do anything for Wame and Warona. I am glad that we have an extra helping hand.

[Wame]

I just finished getting my sister ready for creche. She looks so beautiful in pink.

Before we could leave the room, I got a phone call from Alex.

Me: Hey

Alex: Sorry for calling you so early in the morning but someone wants to see you and Warona. Skype?

Me: Uhhm… Who wants to see us?

Alex: Thabang

Me: (Smiles) Really?

Alex: Yes, really

Me: Okay, we can face chat

Alex: Thank you. Bye

He hung up.

Me: Waro, someone wants to see us so let’s sit down

Warona: But I am hungry, sister

Me: I know. This won’t take too long. I’ll feed you after this

Warona: Okay

We sat down.

Alex video called us via Skype.

Alex: Hey ladies

Warona: (Smiles) Hey brother, how are you?

Alex: (Smiles) I am very good and how are you, beautiful?

Warona: (Smiles) I am also fine. Who wants to see us?

Alex: Brother Keith’s friend. His name is Thabang

Warona: Okay, where is he?

I swear to God, Warona is not giving me a chance to speak to Alex. Alex is also not giving me a chance to speak to him, I am jealous.

Thabang: (Laughs) Warona, you are so adorable. I like you

Warona: (Giggles) I also like you. You are very nice just like brother Alex and brother Keith

Thabang: (Smiles) Thank you

Warona: Okay. I need to go eat breakfast. I am very hungry

Thabang: Okay, beautiful

Warona: Sister, I’ll eat with Kate and sister Michaela

Me: Okay, honey

Warona: Bye brother Thabang

Thabang: Bye, beautiful

Warona k-ssed me and left the room.

I got up and locked the door. I had to lock the door because no one knows about Thabang.

Thabang: Why did you cut and straighten your hair?

Me: My mother told me that when our first home burnt down my hair caught fire but luckily she poured it with water before the fire got to my scalp. I was then taken to the hospital and they had to cut my hair. I also lost my memory at the age of eight. Maybe that’s why I don’t remember you at all. I forgot most of the things that happened before the fire

Thabang: Who saved you from that fire?

Me: My parents

Thabang: How?

Me: I don’t remember everything like I said

Thabang: You’ve been through a lot hey

Me: Yes

Thabang: I am here for you. I will do anything for you and Warona and that’s a promise

Me: (Smiles) Thank you

Thabang: Please don’t tell my mom that I am still alive

Me: But why?

Thabang: I want her to learn to stand for herself. She’s too innocent, it’s irritating

Me: She is. The other time I attacked Rita and then she told me that I shouldn’t have attacked Rita. She’s really innocent and I told her that people will take advantage of her

Thabang: That’s true. I am really glad that you are still alive. You even have a little sister who talks too much

Me: (Laughs) She’s my world

Thabang: She should be, my dear

Me: Are you also married?

Thabang: Not yet

Me: Why not?

Thabang: I haven’t found the right person

Me: I’ll see Alex at 11:00, I can’t talk to him right now because I know that he’ll take all of my time

Thabang: (Smiles) I understand. Well, he’s even busy. He gave me the phone and left

Me: That’s good. Bye Thabang, it was nice talking to you

Thabang: (Smiles) Bye dear. Take care of yourself and Warona

Me: (Smiles) Will do

I hung up.

I swear to God, it all looks good. Help is really on its way. Now I know that my sister won’t have to be used for money. Before we know it, we’ll be out of this place. My sister won’t sleep with men to make money for Rita and Joseph. It All Looks Good and I am happy.

Part 38 – The Dream Two

I took my sister to creche and went back to my room. All of a sudden, I was fast asleep.

[The Dream]

Mrs Daniels: Wame, you are going to fail

Me: What do you mean, mother?

Mrs Daniels: What makes you think that you can help everyone? You need help before helping others

Me: What do you mean? What help?

Mrs Daniels: You need help

Me: If you are talking about drug help then don’t worry, I am getting some home remedies for that. Aunt Nina is helping Michaela and I. We’ll soon be okay

Mrs Daniels: Wame, you need help

Me: (Shouts) HOW ABOUT YOU STAY FAR AWAY FROM ME? YOU ARE NEVER CLEAR WITH ME, IT’S IRRITATING, MOTHER. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

My father also appeared from literally nowhere.

Mr Daniels: That’s not the way to talk to your mother

Me: I am sorry

Mr Daniels: What is wrong with you?

Me: Nothing

Mrs Daniels: Wame, when was the last time you cried?

Me: I am not a baby, I don’t need to cry now and then

Mrs Daniels: Who said that only babies cry?

I kept quiet.

Mr Daniels: Dear, do you realize that you are now like Warona’s mother? You are all she’s got

Me: What’s your point?

Mr Daniels: My point is that you are not doing a good job

Me: Meaning?

Mr Daniels: You know what I am talking about

Me: I don’t know anything. What’s wrong with everyone trying to make me cry? I can’t cry so why is it a big deal? It’s not my fault that I can’t cry

Mrs Daniels: It is a big deal. You need help because you are not normal

Me: Wow, thanks for insulting me, mom

I walked away.

Rita woke me up. I am tired of all this so I am happy that Rita woke me up.

Me: Thanks

Rita: (Shouts) THANKS? WHAT ARE YOU EXACTLY THANKING ME FOR?

Me: For waking me up. You saved me

Rita: HEY, IT’S 11:15 SO WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? DON’T YOU KNOW THAT YOU SHOULD BE WITH ALEX BY NOW?

Me: Oh my goodness, I overslept. I will get ready right away

Rita: PHONE ALEX AND TELL HIM THAT YOU ARE RUNNING LATE

Me: Okay but how did you get in? Wasn’t the door locked?

Rita: NO, YOU DIDN’T LOCK THE DOOR AND IT’S GOOD BECAUSE I JUST HELPED YOU. GO GET REA…

Me: Rita, you’ve been yelling at me ever since you got here. Is that how you should talk to me?

She kept quiet.

Me: I am not going anywhere

She looked at me and spoke softly.

Rita: I am sorry

Me: You really know how to disrespect me and apologize, I don’t like it at all

Rita: I am really sorry

Me: Get out of my room, I need to get ready

Rita: Okay

Me: Where’s Joseph?

Rita: He went to work with Joshua

Me: I see. Leave

Rita: Okay

She left. How dare she shout at me like she doesn’t need me? She’s really full of rubbish.

Michaela walked in.

Me: Micky, I’ll see you later, I have to be somewhere

Michaela: Where are you going?

Me: I’ll tell you everything later. Please take care of my sister for me

Michaela: She’s not here

Me: When she comes back

Michaela: Okay, aunt Nina…

Me: I don’t want to hear anything about her

Michaela: But why?

Me: Long story

Michaela: Just summarize

Me: Micky, later please

Michaela: Okay then. I am leaving

Me: Sure

She left.

I got ready and finished at 12:15. I then went to Rita’s office.

Me: I need your car

Rita: Yes, the driver…

Me: I NEED YOUR CAR!!!

Rita: My car?

Me: Yes

Rita: Which one?

Me: The one you just got two days ago

Rita: Wame, that car was specially made for me. No one else has it in the world

Me: That’s why I want it

Rita: But…

Me: Never mind. I’ll just go back to my room and sleep

Rita: Uhm… Hold on

Me: Yes?

Rita: You can take it. The driver will drop you off then pick you up later

Me: No Rita, I know how to drive

Rita: You do?

Me: Since I was sixteen years old

Rita: Here is the car key

Me: Thanks

Me: Sure

I left.

I can’t believe that Wame took my favorite car. That car cost me millions. It was made just for me. I am the only one who has it. How can Wame just demand for it without even giving me the chance to think about it? That car was delivered two days ago. I can’t believe that Wame did this to me.

Joseph walked in.

Me: (Cries) Honey, my car

Joseph: Your car?

Me: Wame took my car

Joseph: Took or stole it?

Me: Took it

Joseph: So? Why are you crying?

Me: I am not talking about any car. I am talking about the one that was delivered two days ago

Joseph: Okay

Me: Okay?

Joseph: I forgot an important file, why didn’t you tell me?

Me: Joseph Samuels, are you listening to me?

Joseph: Can Wame drive?

Me: She said so

Joseph: So calm down. You are irritating me. I have to go. Tell me, where’s that file?

Me: Your bedroom

Joseph: I’ll see you later

Me: But…

Joseph: RITA, STOP IT!!!

Me: Okay fine, but don’t yell at me

Joseph: ALEX AND KEITH ARE BACK FOR REVENGE AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT RIGHT NOW IS THE DAMN CAR. I AM BEGGING YOU, DON’T ADD UP TO MY STRESS, I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE

Me: I am sor…

Joseph: JUST SHUT UP!!!

He walked out.

I cried so much. How can he be so rude to me? I know that there’s a lot going on right now but he didn’t have to be rude to me.

[Alex]

Thank God, Wame just arrived.

Wame: Hey, sorry I am late

Me: Well I got your text message so I understand

I gave her a hug.

Wame: Lovely height

Me: (Smiles) Thank you

I texted her. The message reads “Do you have a recording device with or on you?”

She smiled and nodded.

I knew that this would happen. Rita and Joseph wants to listen to our conversation. I know them by now, they can never defeat me.
