Here in,side the Prometheus organization, Hephaestus yells angrily as he kicks the tools in his lab and the reason behind all this was because of the fact that his masterpiece was destroyed by his arch nemesis, Felicia.

As the mad genius was busy throwing off his tantrum and expressing his frustrations in a violent way, Medusa a high ranking member of the organization steps into the lab and observes the mess that was been made.

Medusa ➡ Hephaestus! What’s wrong with you?

Hephaestus ➡ S… I mean Medusa.
.

Medusa ➡ Did you just try to call my name?
.

Hephaestus ➡ I didn’t mean to and as you can see.. I’m not in a good mood.
.

Medusa ➡ As if I don’t know why. It’s a shame that a masterpiece like that was destroyed. I heard that the person responsible was formerly one of us.

Hephaestus ➡ She wasn’t just one of us. She was among the founding members of this organization.

Medusa ➡ Why did she betray the organization?

Hephaestus ➡ Because she was soft.

Medusa ➡ Well, I’m sure that she can be dealt with.

Before Medusa could say anything, her phone rings out loud startling her and Hephaestus. Instantly, Medusa brings out the phone and notices that it’s an important call. She rejects the call and then excuses herself from Hephaestus.

Medusa ➡ Excuse me Hephaestus, there is someplace I have to be right now.

Hephaestus ➡ Sure thing. Don’t forget what I said.

Medusa ➡ I’m well aware.

After Medusa’s departure, Zeus makes his way into Hephaestus lab discussing about their recent defeat in the hands of Felicia.

Zeus ➡ Hephaestus… What plans have you made for us to get over this defeat?
.

Hephaestus ➡ I’m working on it.
.

Zeus. ➡ Hephaestus, my time and patience is running out. We’ve spent money and resources to get to where we are and I’m not going to tolerate any failures or defeat. That b-tch has once again messed up our agenda and I cannot let that slide. We must show her what happens to those who try to mess with Prometheus. So tell me doctor.. What’s our next move.

Hephaestus ➡ We have the next big thing. It’s revolutionary but I wasn’t planning to use it now in case of emergencies.

Zeus ➡ I don’t care. We have to use whatever we have to carve our mark in the world. So tell me what’s this next big thing?

Hephaestus ➡ Project X1.. The weather machine.

Zeus ➡ Weather machine?

Hephaestus ➡ Yes.. It creates all kinds of storm bases on the country’s seasonal zone.

Zeus ➡ Perfect… Is it ready for operation?

Hephaestus ➡ No but in order to get it to work, I need genuine 3 diamonds from Jewelry gallery to stabilize the cataclysmic field.

Zeus ➡ Don’t worry, you will get the diamonds. The gallery is full of them.

Hephaestus ➡ No.. The ones on display are fakes, the real diamonds are hidden in the vault.

Zeus ➡ It doesn’t matter, we will get them. Time to set out a bounty.

Here in the suburban part of Lagos, Josiah and the other rogue Elites establish their dominance by bullying and terrorizing the people around them. Now that Eve was no longer part of them, they decided to stick to their old plan and began to use their abilities to serve their own selfish interest.
Moses who had assumed the leadersh¡p of this rogue group decided that it was them for them to elevate themselves but in order to do that, they needed to find Prometheus.
One evening, Moses calls everyone for a meeting to decide how they would get Prometheus attention even though they’re not sure that they’re watching.

Moses ➡ My fellow elites.. We need to think big. We have powers that makes us more advanced than humans. We are the next step in human evolution. We are the future but in order to achieve that, we need to join Prometheus.

Joshua ➡ We don’t need them. We can rise on our own.
.

Moses ➡ No we can’t. Don’t forget Eve has joined Ade and his group. They out-number us 10 to 1. We need to back ourselves up.

Omotola ➡ Alright, How do we get Prometheus’s attention? We don’t even know what they look like.

Gabriel ➡ We don’t even know their location.
.

Burau’uba ➡ Why don’t we impersonate them? Let’s use their name and unleash choas, I’m sure they’ll notice us.

Joshua ➡ I like this idea.

Moses ➡ Alright then, let’s use it.

Mary ➡ What do we do now?

Omotola ➡ I know what we can do. First, let’s rub the jewelry gallery. I heard that there are 3 genuine diamonds worth millions.

Gabriel ➡ And how do we get in there without alerting the security?

Moses ➡ It’s simple.. You have the power to manipulate and absorb electricity. Can we make Lagos to go dark completely?

Josiah ➡ The city has a power generator that controls the follow of electricity in very neighborhood in Lagos.

Gabriel ➡ Well, I can do that but not for long.

Omotola ➡ How long?
.

Gabriel ➡ About an hour or maybe less.

Omotola ➡ That’s good enough but we’ll also need something else to keep everyone busy from noticing us.

Moses ➡ What do you have in mind?
.

Omotola ➡ The ecl¡pse is a few days away and on that day, my magic will be stronger than ever. I want us to steal the diamonds on that day so that I’ll cast a juju spell that I’ve been wanting to try.

Joshua ➡ And what might this juju be?

Omotola ➡ You’ll have to wait and find out.

👮 LOLA POV 👮

There are strange and mysterious things that are going on in this city and people aren’t paying enough attention to notice.
First, there was the uprising of super powered individuals whom are currently walking amongst us normal people. The incidents that have happened recently should have opened people’s eyes and make them notice that these incidents aren’t normal and that the people responsible for them are beyond human comprehension.
Second, there’s the unexpected arrival of Artificial intelligence i.e Robots. Considering the era we’re in, artificial intelligence is now possible and it should be used to make life better not make it worse. The attack on Surulere became to talk of Lagos and it left everyone wondering where did the robot came from and who was it that destroyed it?
It’s been days since that incident and nobody has gotten a clue not even the police department itself. Speaking of police department, I was now back on my job and ready to go to work. The first thing I wanted to do was to investigate the robot incident but my superior officer wouldn’t let me. In fact, he even suggested that nobody should dare to mention the robot incident.
Sometimes, I hate my job cause I feel like I’m not my best to help others. As a detective and a law enforcer, its my duty to solve cases and help people in their hour of need. This is something every law enforcer should bear in mind but from what I’m seeing, most people wearing the uniform and badge wants to make money and avoid the stress and pressure of their jobs.
One afternoon while I was in my office, I got an unexpected visit from Lady who happens to be working for the news station. As soon as she had taken her seat, she began to introduce herself.

Linda ➡ Good afternoon detective, my name’s Linda.
.

Lola. ➡ Good afternoon Linda, what brings you to my office.
.

Linda ➡ Well the reason why I’m here is to find out about the incident that happened in Surulere. Many witness claim that it was a robot that attacked. We confirmed that but we just want to know who sent it.
.

Lola ➡ Well Linda, I’m not so sure myself.
.

Linda ➡ Aren’t you guys investigating the case?
.

Lola ➡ Not at the moment.
.

Linda ➡ But… It’s your duty. People got hurt by this thing and they deserve to know who’s responsible.
.

Lola ➡ I wish I could help but….
.

Before I could finish my statement, one of the police officers bursted into my office and told me that the Oga at the top wanted to see me immediately. The officer even proceeded to send Lnda packing yelling at her never to return again.
Shortly after Linda’s departure, I went straight to Adewale’s office where I saw him rolling around in his chair.

Lola ➡ (salutes) Sir, you said you wanted to see me.
.

Adewale ➡ Yes.. Have a seat.
.

Lola ➡ (seats down)
.

Adewale ➡ Detective, there are lines in this department that we don’t cross and you’ve certainly crossed on of them.

Lola ➡ I don’t understand what you’re talking about.
.

In that moment, Adewale turned around his laptop and showed me a video feed of me talking to Linda. I was shocked and enraged that I was being bugged and watched from my office without my consent. This is nothing but an invasion of privacy.

Lola. ➡ You bugged me???
.

Adewale ➡ With good reason.
.

Lola ➡ THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! I haven’t done anything wrong to deaerv this.
.

Adewale ➡ I disagree. Your behavior last month made everyone uneasy so I gave you a time off and now here you are talking to one of the media about an incident I strongly suggested nobody should talk about.
.

Lola ➡ So you bugged me while I was on suspension and speaking of reporters, the lady asked simple questions and what I told her wasn’t classified.
.

Adewale ➡ SILENCE!!! You had no right to discuss anything with her.
.

Lola ➡ I disagree. I do have the freedom of speech and if you weren’t such a lazy oaf, news reporters wouldn’t be coming here.
.

Adewale ➡ Better watch your mouth detective. Don’t forget who you’re talking to.
.

Lola ➡ I don’t care. My respect for you had disappeared the moment you revealed this secret to me. How could you?
.

Adewale ➡ Detective, I’m warning you. Don’t make me suspend you again.
.

Lola ➡ Is that so? I’ll make it easy for you. I quit.
.

Adewale. ➡ WHAT!?
.

Lola ➡ I quit. This job sickens me anyways. I can’t sit around and cling on to a coward who’s afraid to do his job.

Adewale ➡ Go on, LEAVE. Carry your wahala and go. Stupid b-tch. Let’s see how you’ll manage. Nonsense.

Lola ➡ Fine by me, but just know that I’ll happily tell the media what a coward you are. You don’t even deserve the position you’re in. Fool.

Adewale ➡ Better watch it or I’ll have you arrested.
.

Lola ➡ Try that and I’ll sue you for s-xual harassment.
.

Adewale ➡ You think you can do whatever you want huh? Better watch your back sl-t.

At that moment, I ignored the idiot submitting my badge and gun then I walked out of his office heading straight to mine. Within a matter of minutes, I cleared my office taking my stuff and headed out of the police station. Immediately I got to the parking lot, I entered my car and zoomed off into the busy road.
The decision I made was quite drastic but I just couldn’t tolerate the bullshit of that monkey. The day i became a detective, I sworn to fight crime and help people but I can’t do that when my superior officer is nothing but an incompetent coward.
Hours later in the evening, here I was in a bar keeping myself busy with a bottle of beer 🍺. Considering how pissed I was I couldn’t go home cause I might wreck the place plus I didn’t want to be alone.

By 8:00pm, I decided to leave the bar and get home before I get wasted and drunk . I had taken too much beer and it was taking to take effect on me. While I was walking slowly and steadily to my car, I sensed 3 guys following me from behind. At first I thought it was just coincidence but then I realized they were after me.
Instantly, I turned around and faced them trying to look bold. I reached behind my h¡p pretending as if I was going to pull my gun. The idiots hesitated and then began to make threats.

Guy 1 ➡ Oloshó.. You think say you go waka Scott free abi?
.

Guy 2 ➡ We got do you shege for this night. We never forget Wetin you do us.
.

Guy 3 ➡ You look lock up us for 3 month. You lock us for in,side smelly shit and piss. Tonight we go settle that score.
.

Lola ➡ Idiots.. Better leave or suffer the consequences. I have a gun.
.

Guy 1 ➡ Gun? Which gun? We know say you no be police anymore.
.

Guy 2 ➡ Make she pull the gun now. PULL AM.
.

Guy 3 ➡ Na bluff she dey bluff o. Make we knack this b-tch.
.

Damn! They had called off my bluff but what surprised me was how they knew I had quit my work. Adewale, he must be behind this, he released this thugs to come after me. If I suffer this, I’m going to castrate that b-stard.
In that moment, one of the thugs ran towards me trying to grab hold of me. I guarded myself and waited for the idiot to get closer and as soon as he did, I drove a hærd punch between his ribs and then dropped an elbow at the back of his neck the minute he crotched down. The second one rushed in as well jamming me against my car, he tried to strangle my neck but I drove my knee between his legs crushing his nuts.

😵 💥 CRUNCH 💥😵

After that blow, the idiot yelled painfully and knelt down holding his balls but before he could recover from his pain, I kicked the side of his head knocking him down.
Despite my triumph against these two, it wasn’t the same with the third one. Glaring at me viciously, the third guy who was bigger and thicker than the other two removed his shirt exposing his muscles and packs, he then brought out a knife and waved it at me. Without wasting anymore time, the big brute rushed in and slashed the knife at me, I managed to dodge but not for long. Eventually, my right arm got stabbed and that made very vulnerable. As soon as I succumbed to my pain, The big gorilla went behind me holding my arms in his and then began to rub his knife on my neck.

Guy 3 ➡ (sniff) Hmmm, you smell nice and you fine too. Instead make I kill you, I go enjoy this body of yours. I no say you no be v-rg-n but I go r-pe you tire. You see this nice bres-sts w-t you carry, I go s-ck them tire and as for your nyarsh, I go scatter am. (Laughs)

As the b-stard was narrating what he was going to do to me, he touched the places that he said he was going to enjoy. What pissed me off even more was the nasty smell I was perceiving from the guy, he smelled like a rotten sewage. Just when I thought that I was going to be r-ped by this dog, a familiar face came to my rescue.
In that very instant, someone pulled away the thug from me and began to deal with the idiot. I was surprised when I saw that my savior was Sonny.
Despite the fire in his eyes, he was no match for the thug in strength, so as they both exchanged blows, the thug overpowered him. However that didn’t stop Sonny from trying, he kept fighting the thug with all his might. Instead of being fair, the thug decided to play dirty by stabbing Sonny with the knife in his hand. For a moment I had forgotten that the guy had a healing ability that was far beyond any living creature. The thug kept stabbing me thinking that he had finished off Sonny but little did he know that his efforts was useless.

Guy 3 ➡ IDIOT!!! You wan play hero abi? Your own don finish.
.

Sonny ➡ (laughs) You don finish?
.

Guy 3 ➡ Na Wetin be this? Why you still dey stand?
.

Shocked by the fact that Sonny was still moving despite his injuries, the thug began to get scared and tried to step back but before he could do that, Sonny grabbed hold of him and began to bash his forehead onto the thug’s face.
The sound of bones crushing made me tremble slightly as I watched Sonny batter the thug’s face into an unrecognizable state. After obliterating the thug, Sonny decided to let him go before the idiot could die. He then removed his clothes revealing the wounds he had got. I concluded that there was no way he would heal instantly from these wounds but to my surprise they healed instantly and his body was as good as new.

Sonny ➡ Are you okay?
.

Lola ➡ ARE YOU?
.

Sonny ➡ Don’t worry, I’m fine.
.

Lola ➡ Are you sure? Maybe you should go to the hospital.
.

Sonny ➡ I said I’m okay. Come on, let me take you home.
.

Lola ➡ I can.. (hiccup)… I can.. (hiccup) drive.
.

Sonny ➡ Well, you look sort of drunk. Just let me drive you home.
.

Lola ➡ Can you drive?
.

Sonny. ➡ Can man make love? Of course I can drive.
.

Lola ➡ Alright here’s the keys.
.

Sonny ➡ Come on, let me help you up. (holds Lola).

Lola ➡ Sonny.
.

Sonny. ➡ Yes?
.

Lola ➡ Thank you… for the.. (hiccup) rescue.

Sonny. ➡ You’re welcome.
