Finally at long last, here I am standing in,side the NOVA agency and I must say it was way beyond my expectations. Everything in,side this place was so modern and neat, it was like I standing in,side some of kind exclusive resort.
After looking around for some few seconds , I headed to the counter where I met a lovely lady called Teresa, she looked calm and poise not to mention the face that she was gentle. Immediately I told her the reason why I came she told me to go upstairs and stay there.
While climbing through the stairs, I noticed that the place was sort of quiet and empty, it was like there was no one in the building. I was really hoping to see lots of people in this building but it seems like this place is short staffed.
Shortly after I had gotten upstairs, I was received by a charming man. Not only does he have good looks but he was smartly dressed and he smelled rich but also there was something about him that made me feel a little bit uncomfortable and that was how he stared at me. His look wasn’t the kind of look that people have went seeing someone for the first time, he looked as if he had known me before.

Ade ➡ Good morning madame, welcome to the NOVA agency.

Lola ➡ Yes I’ve been told that already. Are you the one that I spoke to on the phone?
.

Ade ➡ No. But I’m sure you’re here for something

Lola ➡ Well, I’m here to report an incident.

Ade ➡ Okay then, Let’s go to my office so that we can discuss about it.

Lola ➡ Alright then, lead the way.
.

After we had arrived in his office, the man offered me a seat which I gracefully sat down on and after that we can get acquainted.

Ade ➡ Once again you’re welcome to the NOVA agency, My name is Adekunle Shegun.

Lola ➡ Mine is Lola obafemi. Nice to meet you.

Ade ➡ Same as well. So what’s the incident you want to report?
.

Lola ➡ I will do that but if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask some questions.

Ade ➡ Sure go ahead.

Lola ➡ Who do you work for?
.

Ade ➡ Nobody.
.

Lola ➡ So I’m guessing you’re the boss around here.

Ade ➡ No, I’m not. My colleagues and I are equals.

Lola ➡ Hmm, why is this place short staffed?

Ade ➡ We’re trying to find some more people. Is there a problem?

Lola ➡ I’m just surprised that’s all.

Lola ➡ Alright Mr. Ade, tell me something, do you believe the extraordinary or supernatural?

Lola ➡ Have you ever seen any supernatural phenomenon or felt any experience that was beyond impossible.

Lola ➡ Because what I’m about to tell you is going to sound crazy and I don’t want you to think that I’m nuts.

Lola ➡ Sigh! 3 months ago, I was conducting an investigation with my deceased partner Ken on some drugs that seems to be causing quite a lot of trouble. We had some leads and chased down some guys whom we thought could lead us to the manufacturer but it wasn’t like that.
The guys we chased were…were…

I hesitated for some seconds as I recalled the tragic death of Ken, getting over something like that wasn’t easy especially since I was there when the wh0le thing happened. Before long, I found some courage and continued with my report.

Lola ➡ The guys we chased were something out of a comic book page. They were insanely strong. They’re freaks, this people were beyond human.
.

Ade ➡ Beyond human? The modern man is the peak of all human evolution.
.

Lola ➡ That’s what I thought at first but what if it isn’t so. What if humans can do much more beyond their limits. I’m telling you Mr. Ade, this people are real and I’m not making this up. I lost my partner that night and I swore to do whatever that is in my power to get those guys.

Ade ➡ Look, I don’t know if this is a good idea.
.

Lola ➡ MR. ADE! I don’t care about your opinion, all I care about is avenging the death of my partner by apprehending those freaks. Do you have any idea the ridicule and emotional trauma I had to go through? I nearly died and I nearly got fired. It’s too late for me to turn back now. I have to finish what I started. So tell me Mr. Ade, have I come to the right place?

Ade said nothing after that, He just stared at me for some seconds before he finally said his mind.

Ade ➡ Alright then since you insist, I’ll see what I can do. Where did you and this people clash?

Lola ➡ Ajejunle.
.

Ade ➡ I see. Okay, you can go now. Once I find anything I’ll let you know.

Lola ➡ Good, here’s my card. Please don’t hesitate to call me.

Ade ➡ Don’t worry. I will as soon as I find anything.

There’s no greater and shocking moment than the moment of truth though in most cases the truth does hurt but there was nothing more librating than it. I never thought I’d see the day when I’ll see someone like me but I’m glad I did. The NOVA agency is where I was finally going to learn the truth and coming here to this particular place sure changed my life forever.
As Kabir and I sat in his office, he told me a lot about the elites especially he and some of his friends started out. He told me struggle and life threatening situation they had to through especially against their nemesis ” THE EXECUTIONERS”. It’s not easy processing everything that this nice Hausa man was telling me but i did manage to understand that I was an Elite and I was beyond any ordinary human.
Mr. Kabir also told me about the rogue elites whose goal was to decimate the human population and establish the reign of the Elites. I also understood that this particular rogue Elites were the same ones that tried to recruit me in Ajegunle.

Kabir ➡ So that’s it. I hope you know everything there is to know about Elites.

Sonny ➡ Yes but still what is my purpose?
.

Kabir ➡ We’ve all asked that question before, I’m sure you feel like an stranger among people but you’re not, you’re just gifted. People may see your gifts as a curse but it’s not. You can use your gifts to help people.

Sonny ➡ Do you know what my gifts are? I’m not sure I can save anyone.

Kabir ➡ What is your ability?

Sonny ➡ I can heal 10X faster than a normal human. I was shot in the head once but here I am.

Kabir ➡ Fascinating! Have you ever felt sick?

If anyone besides the elites were to see what you really are, they wouldn’t act as calmly as I did when I first saw you. They would resent and condemn you as a freak. The world doesn’t need to know we exist cause the revelation of our existence gave rise to the EXECUTIONERS who nearly drove us into extinction. The world isn’t ready to know about our existence yet so before that happens we need to be discreet with our abilities.

Kabir ➡ Its up to you. Stay with us and live a better life or walk back to your former life. I can’t force you to make a decision you’re not comfortable with.

One thing was certainly clear, this is the very moment that would shape the course of my life forever. Going back to my old life isn’t progress and also it wasn’t the kind of life I wanted. However staying with this bunch of people I barely know is also another thing I need to think about. For all I know this people might even be engaged in some kind of cultist stuff. Appearances can be deceiving and you never know when the unexpected can happen but honestly something told me that joining these guys won’t be so bad after all. Unlike the other elites that tried to force me to join them, this ones were the exact opposite and from the looks of this establishment, this guys seem pretty legit.

Kabir ➡ Sure.

Sonny ➡ What is it that you do here?

Kabir ➡ We help people and we also eliminate anything that seems like a threat. We don’t get credit for it and our services isn’t that popular but we don’t mind.

Kabir ➡ Because it’s the right thing to do. We can’t always save everyone but we save the ones we can.

Kabir ➡ Are you sure?

Here in,side the meeting room of the NOVA agency, the sound of smooches 💋 could be heard as Eze and Chioma share a steamy k-ss in front of the other Elites. Ifeanyi who seems to be annoyed by this show of affection confronts the 2 love birds to ease things off between themselves.

Ifeanyi ➡ Man no be wood o. Abeg if una wan knack, make you go do go hotel. This atmosphere too tense o.

Rollins ➡ (laughs) Don’t even bother, they’re not listening to you.

As the elites talk and argue between themselves, Kabir, Samson and Sonny walk into the meeting room and take their place next to the other Elites. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Kabir introduces Sonny to the gang.

Kabir ➡ Alright everyone, this is Sonny and he’s the new Elite and he’s also a member of the NOVA agency.

Ace ➡ Congratulations.

Sonny ➡ Thank you.. It’s an honor to meet you all.

Kabir ➡ Sonny, this are my friends. Eze, Chioma, Ace, Rollins, Kaitlyn, Naomi, Ifeanyi and Richærds.

Rollins ➡ So this na the new guy? He doesn’t look like much. What’s your ability?

Upon hearing Ade’s voice, everyone turns around and sees him coming out of the wall. Sonny nearly shrieks in fright from what he saw but he restrains himself. Standing right next to his friends, Ade stares at Sonny and extends a handshake to him.

Ade ➡ Hello sonny. Sorry for the display. I hope you’re alright?
.

Sonny ➡ 😨😨😨😨😨

Rollins ➡ HA HA… the guy wan choke! 😂
.

Kabir ➡ Seriously Rollins, stop this. Sonny don’t be scared. This is Ade, he’s also part of us.

Sonny ➡ He just….he just came out of that wall. Is he human?

Kaitlyn ➡ I’ve been asking that question for a decade now.

Ade ➡ Well, I’m human but it’s a little bit complicated.

In that moment, Samson flicks his fingers and instantly the meeting table shows holographic images of Toyin streets. Blown away by the technology displayed before his eyes, Sonny opens his mouth in amazement. Ade who still remains standing addresses his colleagues about the image before them.

Ade ➡ This is Toyin street and from the report I’ve received from my other friends and Samson, it seems something awful is going down there.

Chioma ➡ How bad is it?

Ade ➡ Very bad.
.

Kabir ➡ So what is going on in Toyin street ?

Ade ➡ I don’t know.
.

Rollins ➡ But you said you were informed?

Ade ➡ Yes I was but my friends couldn’t tell me what happened. All they know is that people are dying and they can’t get to the source.

Eze ➡ This is unbelievable, even your spirits can’t get to the source of this.

Samson ➡ All we know is that there’s something sinister going on in Toyin street.

Chioma ➡ So who’s going to investigate?

Ade ➡ I’m sorry Ifeanyi but job requires surveillance and from the wah things are looking, something tells me we’re dealing with an unknown force. Although I may have a job for you Ifeanyi, I want you to go to Ajegunle with Richærd and Sonny.

Richærd ➡ Why?

Ade ➡ There’s one detective that came moments ago and told me about Ali and his gang. I have a feeling she’s going after them so I want the 3 of you to keep an eye on her.

Sonny ➡ Detective?! Was it a woman?
