“I’ll go use the restroom…”
Rilly gulped, jerking Eve back to reality by a nudge.
“U-hhh why?” Eve managed to stutter even though her throat felt patchy at that moment.
“Can’t you see am a beet red,I can’t face him looking like this..” she said rubbing her flushed cheeks.
“Please stay I’m shy myself….” She begged as Rilly dropped her glass on a waiter’s tray, almost tipping it.
“No I can’t,I’ll be back I just need to touch up with a little powder and more lip gloss. I wanna look catchy..”
Rilly gibbered and disappeared out of sight before she could be stopped. Eve gulped and stared
shyly into her glass as she glimpse Hale almost infront of her..
What was happening to her?
“Hello……” Hale muttered peering through the pair of large glasses covering a pair of cute blue eyes that were staring into a glass..
The lady flushed, looking slightly embarrassed. “Hey,Hi…” She muttered confoundedly, managing a glance at him.
“It’s Hale,…..Sonia right?” He brought his hand forward which the lady stared at,as if he had just done a crazy thing… He wanted to ask what the problem was but then she took his hand.
“No it’s Eve, your brother’s….”
He cut in ..
“Oh!of course my brother to be wife, I apologise Eve. We haven’t met before…” He said shaking free of her handshake which he noticed was a little lingering.
The atmosphere was getting more uncomfortable for her,she found herself staring at him again..
“It’s alright I understand,I can’t believe I’m seeing you right now….” She mumbled trying to hide the rose which was already rising on the surface of her cheeks.
“Same here,my brother has said a lot about you …..”he replied with a smirk plastered on his face.
“And he’s said a lot about you too..” she said and he flashed her a brief smile.
“Smiles, I must confess, you’re really beautiful Sonia.”
She almost shouted “it’s Eve” but instead she said. “Thanks,you look handsome too but you look more like him”
“And you look like a lady of the night”
She was confused. “I beg your pardon”
“I mean you look dishy..” he teased. Eve wanted to gigle but she cautioned herself not to.
“You’re quite the ladies charmer,you look handsome your self…” She said and they both laughed briefly.
“I’ll take that as a compliment,so how is everything going with you?”
“Everything is okay, how’s California and business over there?”
“Everything is superb,Thank you..”
“You are welcome Mr Hale….” She replied with a smile, taking off her glasses for the first time.
“Oh,The Mr shouldn’t be coming from you. Just call me Hale.”he offered politely,watching her wear the eyeglass on her hair..
“I’ll call you that once you start calling me by my real name which is Eve…” She retorted almost immediately.
He laughed..”I thought you are Sonia..”,he stopped then went on. “I apologise Eve”
“Not to worry, you’re forgiven.” She said and then he remembered he saw her with a lady but where is she now?
“Okay,I thought I saw you with
a Strawberry Blondie?” He asked looking around as if insearch of the lady,which was Rilly..
“Oh you mean Rilly…” Eve asked processing what he just said.
“Rilly,is that her name?”
“Yes she’s my friend, she’s gone to use the restroom.”
“Oh I see,so why don’t we take a walk..” He suggested and she took a sip from her wine and dropped the glass on a mable foot.
“Yeah that’s a good idea, come on we have a lot to talk about….”she concoured.
Silently,they sauntered side by side heading outside.
“So how long have you known Philip?” He asked as they stopped at a wine bar which was out of earshot..
“Two years now…. I mean two years and three months..” she explained.
He smiled and waved her to a sit.. “Two years is an acceptable gulf,sorry to ask but how did you two meet..?” He asked taking out a bottle of Russian vodka and two glasses.
“On a road, I helped him change his tyre, when he had a flat tyre..” she expounded as he sat on an empty seat opposite her.
His gaze flew to her and something got struck in her throat.
“You changed a tyre…” Hale stared at her in disbelief,his l-ips twisted into a smile and doing that she noticed a pair of dimples which seemed to surface for the first time.
“Yes,he had a flat tyre and was running late for work so I helped him change it..” she nodded, feeling proud of herself..
“I can totally imagine you doing so,a lady by a roadside changing a tyre for a man. How wonderful” He remarked,uncapping the vodka amid a little smile.
“It wasn’t that hærd for me,I learnt a few tricks from my Dad. I bet I can change a tyre better than you can…” She teased watching as he fixed them two potent glasses of vodka..
“Nice to hear….” He said handing her a glass of the drink, Eve didn’t want to look naive so she took the glass and gulped down some of it’s content but made a face as the alcohol burnt it’s way down her throat.
“I’ll have to call you when I get a flat tyre…” He said and they both laughed.
His laughter seemed to lighten everything up in the bar. Even his face grew warmer and he looked even more radiant. Her heart melted.
“When are you getting the flat tyre…” She demanded, smiling..
“I don’t know but if I do, then call you, will you come?” He replied, jokingly.
“Anytime you want me to….” She smiled,then hastened to add. “You have very cute dimples.” She remarked.
“Thank you and you have a unique smile..” he teased and she gigled..
“Thank you”she said still gigling.
“You’re welcome..”
“Okay your turn,tell me about her..”
“Her?” He raised a brow,then gulped down all the content of his glass.
“Your girlfriend..” she laughed watching him pour himself another drink..
“My girlfriend?” He murmured,that was an impromptu question and he didn’t see it coming.
“Yeah,tell me about her. She must be smoking hot….”she stopped and held his gaze. “Don’t tell me you’re one of those men who doesn’t have a specific partner.” She laughed.
“What do you think..?”he questioned amid drinking out of his glass.
“I think you have a girlfriend, so tell me about her…”
Eve found herself staring at his full pink l-ips, God has blessed this man with l-ips meant for a lady and he sure know how to make a woman feel all warm and fuzzy in,side, just the way she was feeling right now.
“My..urm… girlfriend…actually…her name is Ashley” he cleared his throat.
“I can tell she’s beautiful..”she added.
“Yes just like you..”he teased and her face lightened up in a smile.
“Huh..”she murmured still smiling.
“I mean with this curvaceous physique and charming blue eyes that God gives to every beautiful woman.” If that was meant to make her happy,then it actually worked. Eve found herself gigling,she could feel the heat on her cheeks.
“Are you flirting with me..?” She asked still blushing.
“Of course not,I was just telling you what my girlfriend looks like. You’re her doppelganger..”he teased again and she felt millions of butterfly glide in her belly.
“Uhm.. is this how you charm the ladies?”
“Ohhhhhhhh”.He whistled and refilled her glass. “No, I’m just a sociopath like you, I’m not a psychopath or anything..” he assured.
“How do you know I’m a sociopath.?” She asked.
“I know,when I see one..”
“I see….”
He only smiled.
The silence had struck in and she hated it,she wished they could just keep on conversing but no one said a word,so they drank in silence.
“What do you think your wedding will be like.?” Hale asked, breaking the lingering silence.
“I don’t know what it’ll be like,I feel so nervous..”
“Fine let’s not talk about it, tonight is for fun and merriment. Drink some more and put your nerves to rest .” He said jokingly..
“Alright..”she sighed and took another drink even though her system was slowly surrendering to the alchohol.
Silence struck in again.
“What are your likes.?”he asked after a brief silence.
“What?”
“I mean, your best stuff.?”
“Are you serious?”
“I know it’s funny but we got to talk about something else we’ll wallow in boredom.”
“Okay what do we start with?”
“Best colour, what’s your best colour.?”
“Blue, yours?”
“Blue”
“Great,best drink..”
“I don’t have a choice on that one,but I’ll go for any soft drink and you.”
“Well, this…..” He said and held out his glass of vodka.
“Oh nice,best movie…”
“They’re much..”
“Choose one..”
“I don’t have a choice. I got like a lot of action packed trilllers and horror filled ones…”
“Uhm you watch all those freaky stuff”
“Yep what about you..”
“No, not even close. I do only chick flicks..”
“So what flick is your favorite…?”he asked and she swallowed,hærd..
“k-ss and kill…” She said but quickly realize that wasn’t a nice movie to tell but it was already too late.
“Pathetic..” he grimaced.
“I’m not pathetic..”
“You are..”
“I’m not..”
“Okay,best music…”
“Chandelier by Sia and you..?”
“Turn me on..”
“Seriously?” She yelled,did he just say you turn me on? She must have misheard.
“Yeah turn me on by Kevin lyttle” he rephrased and she whewhed lowly.
That was a close one.
“Oh,hum best food”she gulped and took another drink.
“Chicken Marengo,yours?…”
“Same,we have a lot in common…”
“Trust me we don’t..”
“Why?”
“We don’t have anything in common,trust me we don’t.”
“Okay if you say so..”
“Yeah,what attracts you to the opposite s€×?..”
“Is that also part of the questioning?.”. she inquried placing her perfectly manicured nails on the table.
“Come on Eve, don’t you want us to talk about something..?”
“I do…”
“Go on then…”
“What attracts me to the opposite s€×… Uhm well the personality,I mean a cute face,great abds,nice smell, dexterity and good diction will do the trick..”
“Is that all?”
“Yes for now, so what about you. What attracts you to the opposite s€×..”
“Everything in you…” He teased again.
“What?”she wriggled her brows.
“I mean if a girl should be just like you then I’m attracted..”
“You’re flattering me again..”
“There’s nothing like flattering here, I’m just saying the truth. You’re beautiful, extremely beautiful. You have a great smile and nice teeth. Your smiles are really enchanting..”
He switched on his charms again and she felt the heat hit her cheeks again but then, something snapped.
Maybe he’s gone too far.
“Uhm,I don’t think we should be having this conversation…” She murmured, chewing her inner cheeks to muffle the heat she was feeling.
“Why?,is anything wrong?”he asked surprised by her wit.
“I’m getting married to Philip, he’s your brother..” she pointed out.
“You think i don’t know he’s my brother. Miss this is just a friendly conversation nothing attached,except you got some thing else in mind.” He said,his face contorted in a frown.
“No,I don’t. Sorry I didn’t mean to come out that way. I was just being disquiet.” She apologized..
He only nodded and that made her feel bad.
“It’s cold this night..” she murmured sniffing the cold breeze as he dropped his glass and ran his cuticles down his hair.
“It’s actually 24°c but it can get worst..”he replied airily.
“Wow..It seems you…….” She trailed as she heard his phone ring.
He brought it out and stared at the bright screen for a while, then glanced at her.
“Excuse me,I have to take this…”
“Alright..” she replied and he made to get up but accidentally tipped the half empty bottle of vodka,it rolled speedily and fell off the table,then landed on Eve’s leg before reaching the floor.
“Haleeeeeee!! She shrieked, biting her l-ips as if to muffle her pains.
“Oh my God. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
He apologized dropping the phone back into his pocket and moving over to her.
“It’s okay…”she winced. “I think I should get going”
“You don’t have to leave, it was just a mistake. I really didn’t mean to tip it over your leg..”
“It’s okay, I’m not angry. I just need a little rest, so I’ll just put up in Phillip’s room till he gets back the night is still too young to get wasted. ”
“Okay I understand..”. He said and got up.
“Yeah please when you see Rilly,do tell her to come over to Phillip’s room I’ll be there..”she said and made to get up too but plunged back into her seat,her own weight couldn’t carry her. That was the effect of the alcohol mingled with her nunbed feet.
“Let me help you…” He offered.
“No don’t worry,I can manage..” she insisted and tried to get up again but still that was a failing effort,she made to slump into her seat but he was fast to hold her..
“I got you, now let me help you..”
He said tossing an arm across her shoulder,she nodded wryly and tossed hers across his wa-ist.
They half staggered and half walked out of the bar vacinity and made for the hallway in that position..
“Oh boy….” Hale muttered as he was confronted by five different rooms in the hallway.
“Don’t tell me you don’t know your brother’s room?.” Eve murmured staring blindly at all the doors,truth is he didn’t know his brother room. Well,how could he? When he didn’t
even get a chance to spend quality time with his brother on his first arrival after so many years.
“Of course I do…”he lied and she could sense it..
“Then go ahead and take me in..”
She urged, he looked at the five doors to see anyone that was odd. It was only the second door which had the same colour as his,so he took in a deep breath and motioned towards it.
“You’re lucky,else you would’ve gotten it from me..”she said jokingly as he opened the door and walked in,still clutching her.
He slammed the door shut. “You see,I told you I knew his room.”
“I was wrong to doubt you….I apologise..” she crooned as he walked her to the bed..
“You’re forgiven, don’t do it again..”
He made to put her in bed but she accidentally stepped on his toe, making him to trip and fall on the bed with her…
“My bad…” Eve chuckled as she found herself on top of him,their face almost touching.
She tried to recoil from him but found herself gazing at the man who was also staring awkwardly at her with a clinical expression on his face.
What was eating into her?
The atmosphere around them changed instantly as she moved her gaze to his l-ips, then she felt her chest tighten again as she caught him staring. Embarrassed, she tried to recoil but instead found her l-ips on his,their l-ips met. God she just k-ssed him. She took in a swift breath thinking he’ll pull away but that didn’t happen instead he reciprocated the k-ss, so slowly she breathed out and they k-ssed. They k-ssed for long but suddenly she stopped,and pulled away.

“I’m sorry,we shouldn’t be doing this, this is not right.” she muttered breathlessly but he ignored her and threw an arm around her wa-ist then turned her over, making her nestle underneath him. “Does it matter..?” He asked and k-ssed her on the l-ips again.
“Yes, I’m getting married to your brother you know?..” she said jerkily but didn’t budge.
“I Know,so why don’t I keep you warm for him. “he said k-ssing her again.
“This is not right,what are you doing.?” She said weakly, trying to stop him but it seemed like her nerve lay out of her skin. She couldn’t resist him.
“At the instance, k-ssing you but I can show you how to be
a real passionate woman if you want me to” he offered k-ssing her again,deep passionate k-sses that threatened to take her breath away.
“Show me…” She begged, returning his k-ss hungrily. She had fallen for him and he could see it. How then could she refuse him?..
“I will…” He replied, taking off her glasses (which was on her hair) and tossing it somewhere on the floor, using that opportunity to off their shoes along side his shirt..
He rose on her again and she gulped,her face was already flushing but still she accepted the k-ss he offered.
Slowly the tension between them grew as they k-ssed,he moved a hand to her br-ast and goose bump rosed on the surface of her skin, literally her nerves snapped but she wasn’t responding to the signal. Instead her body and soul were responding to the signal emitted by his fingers on her br-ast.
He lift himself up and slowly offed her clothe, then looked at her exposed b-ra.” I like the color red on you.”he smiled but she couldn’t give a reply.she couldn’t believe she was the one doing that yet still she couldn’t stop him. Hale ignored her flushed face and Without another word,he unhooked her b-ra, watching with delight as her br-ast jumped free from their enclosure. Then he leaned into her again and their l-ips met,they k-ssed again while he sent his fingers to her br-ast and pressed softly for a while. Hale rubbed the now rigid n-pples with his fingers and watch them grow h-rder. Her breathing became louder but he did not stop. Slowly,his mouth took over from his fingers and a loud mo-n escaped Eve’s l-ips.
With his mouth still on her br-ast, Hale worked his other hand down her lower body,he touched the surface of her p-nt making to take it off,so she tried to resist for fear of being caught by anyone but with his every touch he made it hærd for her. He broke the k-ss and slowly pulled off her p-nt but she clasped her hands down there. Slightly embarrassed. This was her, unclad in front of her fiance’s brother.
“I think we should stop this now, someone might see us..” she whinned,panick creaping into her.
“No one will,no one knows..” he assured, unclading himself. She puckered her l-ips, admiring his well built body even though she was still persistent,she never seized to admire the well defined abds that was staring back at her.
“But this is Phillip’s room,what if he comes home now..” she panicked throwing an arm across his shoulder.
He pulled her to himself and k-ssed her forehead.”No he won’t,he won’t be back anytime soon…”he reassured,then unclasped her hands and stared down her legs for a while. That really shamed her.

Why did she fall so helplessly and foolishly for him.

The bitter realization of what she was doing hit her hærd but it was too late to stop anything as his hand had already found it’s way in between her thighs… He rubbed his fingers over her cl*toris,then shoved a finger into her opening and she wriggled amid a soft mo-n as he began to throbe her… This wasn’t right.. her conscience was already nagging at her but does she have a choice? “Why didn’t you stop me,when I asked you to,why did you open up, why were you scre-ming my name like a f-cken maniac,and why did you receive my warm if you didn’t enjoy any of these.?”
He ragged getting up to get a towel.
She stared at him bemused by his sudden reaction,then spoke up. “Let’s just see what happened as a mistake.”
“It’s not a mistake,you wanted this to happen..”
He pointed out..
“Fine but please it’ll be better if we keep this between us..”she begged.
“Do I look like a rumour monger to you?”
“No…I was just saying that you’ll..”
“My l-ips are sealed so shut it..”
He said and walked into the bathroom, leaving the bewildered lady staring at the s₱0t he’s been standing.
Why is he being so rude?…. She wondered as she heard the bathroom door slam shut..
After everything he suddenly changed.
God,why did she have to behave so cheap?
Why did she give in so easily, because of his charming looks?
It’s just a day to her marriage and she has already done this with him?
What explanations will she gives to Philip when he finds out she’s no more a V-rgin..
He’ll surely be devastated.
She bent her head slowly and rubbed her face with the back of her hand.
What if Hale tells his brother about this?
What if someone finds out?
She’ll surely be a laughing stock..
What if Rilly finds out?
She’ll hate her for good, because she’s in love with this man she just slept with.
She was jerked out of her thoughts by a creak from the doorknob,she turned to the door and her eyes w¡dened up in surprise.

Episode 3
(What the heck! )
Eve slammed her eyes shut, hoping that what she just saw was a mirage.
It couldn’t have been him.
Her eyes must have failed her.
Yes it surely must have!.
Willing the mare away with a short prayer,she opened her eyes again but there he was standing in front of her staring at the clothes that were scattered all over the floor.
“Eve…”He called looking her over,the smell of s€× still hung around the room. He sensed something wrong.
“Philip…” She crooked,then hunched over the edge of the bed, holding the duvet against her uncladness. Unable to meet his gaze.
“Eve what have you done?” He asked but she made no response as she curled into a ball covering her face with her hands, just then Hale walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his wa-ist.
Philip slammed his eyes shut as his brother picked up the pieces of his clothing that were scattered all over the floor,his chest stung and his throat constricted with pain. He was depleted emotionally.
“Sorry Bro….” Hale said before walking out of the room.
Philip huffed and raked his hair,his chest heaved in frustration and his teeth gritted in pain. He prayed he wouldn’t loose his mind.
He couldn’t believe it,his own brother.
He however,opened his eyes slowly then inhaled a deep breath and breath out slowly….”How could you?”
Her l-ips quivered and a cry escaped her..” I’m sorry”.she whimpered.
Cold,uneven,menacing hatred began gushing through his veins and not knowing what to do he began to pace around the room..
“You are sorry?” He gritted his teeth and advanced towards the bed while she recoiled slowly.
“How could you do this to me? Not with any other person but my own brother? What is wrong with you? Are you a pr-stitute? It’s just a day to our wedding and you do this? Am busy working my ass out this night, to clear up everything just to make you happy when we finnaly get married. But you’re busy sleeping with my own brother, someone you just met. For how long have you given yourself to wh-redom!” He barked in silence and sat at the tip of the bed, frustration crinkled his eyes.
“This has never happened before..”
She sobbed.
“Then why today?,is he that good looking? For Christ sake we both share the same face why did you have to do this to me.”
He queried, raging.
“I’m so sorry Philip please… I didn’t mean to….. I’m sorry..”
She sobbed, edging closer to him but the look he gave her made her recoil again.
“I’m done with you” He mumbled and she gasped.
“Philip… No don’t do this to me.. please forgive me,it won’t happen again….”she pleaded amid sobs.
“Because I’m a fool right?” He laughed,Jadedly and she stood up frenzily,the duvet dropping to reveal her unclad body as she clung unto him.
“No you’re not a fool, I’m really sorry. I didn’t know what came over me,this was a mistake. Babe I’m so sorry, just forgive me this one time and I promise you it’ll never happen again..” She lamented,her l-ips quivering.
He got up…”Sorry you say? We’ve been together for two years now,yet I’ve never for once asked to see your undies let alone asked for s€×. That’s how much I loved and respect you yet you use my love against me.”
She got up and edged close to him again, making no attempt to cover her body. “But you still love me,you still do. Don’t you.?”
She sniffled but he didn’t say a word,instead he c*cked his head to the left and narrowed his eyes to the right towards her.
Then quietly stressing each word,he said..” if you don’t get your wh-re body away from me right now,I swear to God by the time I’m done with you,no one will recognize you. Not even those d*ckheads you wh-re around with,will want to have anything to do with you.” He bawled and she gasped,both at the words coming from him and the formidable look he gave her.
She immediately recoiled from him and hurdled on the bed, her face in her arms sobbing.
He heaved a frustrated sigh..” for doing this to me, I’m cancelling the wedding. I’ll not marry you..”
“You don’t have to cancel the wedding,I’ll marry her..” Hale said working in on them..
“What?” Eve gasped,a fleeting breath escaped her.
“I’ll marry you…” He affirmed..
