Episode 12
(What to do?)
“I slapped her..” Eve voice cracked as she bowed her head,and looked away.
“How dare you?” Hale’s l-ips curled into a sneer.
“She started it first…” Eve pointed out,her voice quivering.
“And so f-cking what?” He yelled angrily and she jerked.
“I’m sorry….”she pleaded but it was too late.
He backhanded her so hærd that she fell and her head hit the floor,then her vision blurred. He kicked her in the stomach and would have beaten her to death,if not for the intervention of Ashley,who pulled him away from her after feeding herself to a load of laughter.
“Please just let her be, that’s enough..” She said in a laugh.
“This bitch___”
“Do you want to kill her?” She cut in, deliberately allowing the laughter to fade off.
“I don’t mind wearing an orange jumpsuit for her sake..” Hale seethed, glaring at Eve who ignored her pains and scrambled up to her feet.
“Prison is not a nice place to be, besides I know you don’t want to leave me or do you.?” She asked leaning in sed-ctively.
“Why would I leave a beautiful thing like you.?” He k-ssed her l-ips lightly.
Eve stared intently at the both of them,tears flowing down her
regal cheeks.
“Then let her be..” Ashley countered and disengage from the k-ss but didn’t pull away from him.
“She needed to be thought a lesson..” he narrowed his eyes at Eve.
“I know but don’t you see she looks weak, that’s enough for her alright. She must have learnt her lesson..” Ashley said giving Eve a malicious smile.
“If you say so…”he replied,then turning to Eve he glowered.”Listen woman this should be the last time you lay your hands on her and never you decline whenever she sends you on an errand,get it?”
Eve nodded but didn’t say a word..
“Good,and let’s make one thing clear,all the chores in this house are for you. You don’t have to wait for anyone to tell you what to do, now beat it and get what she sent you.” He said and flicked the money at Eve.
Choking on a sob,Eve picked the money which fell on the floor and her gaze fell upon Hale.”I know one day you’ll realize what I’ve been to you and how much you hurt me..” she started and stopped as they both looked at her.
Ashley was staring hærd at Eve, while Hale watched her patiently,their eyes locking.
She went on.”But that will be too late because I’ll leave and never come back, they’ll be no more me to irritate you. You won’t hear my voice and see my annoying face again,you may cry blood but I will be gone long and forever. So enjoy my stupid,silly company as much now that you got the chance..”
She wiped her tears and shot out of the kitchen like an arrow.
The two lovers kept staring after the door in silence for what seemed like an enternity,then like a robot now attuned to power surge they walked out of the kitchen without saying a word to each other.
“What was that all about?” Hale said, flustered as he stormed into his room with Ashley, whose face was a vicious mask of anger.
“I don’t know..” Ashley rolled her eyes and touched her face,then slammed the door shut.
“Damn, she’s so annoying..” Hale cursed.
“I hate her..” Ashley muttered under her breath as she plunged into the king size bed.
“Not more than I do,I hate her with so much passion..” He gro-n and a smile flick across her face.
He went on. “What makes her think that I’ll ever cry for her if she leaves now. Even if she dies,a single tear won’t fall for her..” he seethed and sat besides her on the bed.
“I think she loves you…” Ashley said grumpily and Hale laughed in his head,then reached out to the nightstand besides the bed.
“So who cares about her feelings..?” He asked airily, taking out a container from the lower drawer of the nightstand.
“Nobody does,but I can see the pains in her eyes each time she sees us together..”
“She ought to be pained,she deserves more than that. I’m not even started with her yet,that d*ckhead ought to pay dearly for what he did to Sonia.” He opened the container, scooped up some of the white substance with his pinkie.
“Can you please not say that name?,I don’t want to hear it..” Ashley whinned, pressing her fingers through her sleek black hair.
“And can you show some respect Ash?, Sonia is dead..!!” He snapped and she flinched but didn’t say a word.
He took a deep sniff of the white substance,and after a while he spoke up.”Everything I’m doing is for her,my being in America was for her, sleeping with Eve and getting married to her,was still for her and I can’t think of a better way to avenge her dead, except all this…”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to piss you more than Eve has already done.” She apologized and hastened to add. “But you make me jealous anytime you speak about Sonia..”
“It’s alright..” he took another sniff and returned the container in it’s place.
“So what do you intend to do with Eve?” She questioned.
“Kill her of course,but her death will be different from Joanna’s. I’ll first make her suffer,by the time I’m done torturing her, she’ll be designed with blisters. I’ll be sure to take those nice features away from her . Then maybe I’ll decide, wether to finnaly kill her or bury her alive. All depends on the turn of events”
He said in a venom laced voice.
“What if she tries to run away?” She asked and he scoffed.
“Then she’ll be dead for good,I won’t think twice before killing her. I got eyes on her you know ..”
She narrows her eyes at him.”So you think all this will be enough to make your brother infuriated.?” Asley queried her lover.
“Yes of course..” he replied airily.
“You’re funny…” She said skeptically.
He got up.”Okay let me burst your bubbles,I know he’s already scheming on how to pay back for taking his wife. You need to see the way he looked the other day when he found out that I took her V-rginity. That look was damn priceless,he looked like he was going to rip off my head, that’s exactly how he’s going to look this time.” He explained,then grumpily he added.” I ruined their relationsh¡p but that’s not enough to pay for what he did to Sonia,besides the plan is to payback and not to get him infuriated..”
Ashley rolled her eyes.”It’s alright baby,can you forget about all this for now..?” She was getting tired of hearing him say her name.
“I can’t but with you i think I can…” He teased amid a forced smile.
“I knew you would. Are you still hungry?” She quiped, returning his smiles.
Hale crossed his arms on his chest.”Not anymore,I lost my appetite..”
“Well, I’m hungry..” she announced, smiling tartly.
“Get dress, let’s eat out cause there’s no way you’re gonna eat that trash she prepared..” he frowned and began to take strides towards the closet.
“I don’t need food..” she said and he stopped on his track and turned to her.
“Then what do you want?” He asked distinctively.
“Don’t tell me you don’t know what I want..” her voice was filled with affection this time.
“Sonia I….” He started and stopped,he called the wrong name.”I’m sorry…” He said in a near hush.
“I see you loved her…” Ashley murmured,not looking at him.
“Very much,even till now…”He replied and she frowned. They lasped into a momentary silence.
“No offense love,you mean a lot to me..” Hale said breaking the lingering silence.
Ashley smiled and got up,then walked to him. “I understand,I know how you feel about her death but that shouldn’t be a problem. I’m here alright..” she assured, touching his cheek.
He forced a smile.. “you won’t leave me like she did, right?”
“Never..” she muttered leaning into him. “Nothing can take me away from you…”
“Thank you for understanding…”
“Shhhh…” She shushed cutting him off, then slowly she pushed her l-ips to his face.
Their l-ips touched,and she k-ssed him as soon as her mouth met his.
Then slowly her arms went around his neck as he slowly returned the k-ss running circles in her mouth.
They k-ssed for long and not taking his mouth from hers, Hale picked her up and carried her in his arms while she wrapped her legs tightly around his wa-ist,this was the sweetest k-ss she had ever had with him.
They k-ssed on,and slowly she sat up in his arms while he deepened his fingers in her wa-ist sending a jolt of carnal heat through her body..
With their l-ips still locked he carried her to the bed and when she felt her back resting on it, she pulled away and turned him over then claimed his l-ips again..
Ashley sat up on him,not taking her mouth from his, her hands never stopped touching his hair,his ears,his face..
She straddled him and with their eyes locked she slowly unbuttoned his shirt,pulled away his shirttails then shoved the sleeves down his arms.
Hale was trapped beneath her and she relished the playful restraint..
“It’s been a while since I did this with you. Tell me you’re ready.”he murmured and brushed her hair from her face and tucked them behind an ear.
“Of course I am..”
She smiled and nestled her face in his neck and breathed deeply..
She k-ssed his throat,ran her toungue up his neck until she reached his l-ips. She claimed his l-ips while his arms fought with the sleeves of his shirt,but she held him down as he returned the k-ss with as much intensity she gave him but he pulled away,so she licked his smooth jawline all the way to his ear,then slowly drew in his lobe and a guttural gro-n escaped his throat.
He fought again to pull his arms from his sleeves,the friction of his struggles sent shivers up and down her spine. Then his right hand pulled free and he wrapped it around her wa-ist using it to turn her over…
“You’re disgusting but I love you” she teased.
“I love you too”he said as he moved her hair and k-ssed her softly on her neck , grazing on her neck sweetly and breathing very gently over the sides of her neck to her ears then he circled his tongue around the edges and she mo-ned loudly .
He claimed her l-ips, Hale k-ssed her for a while gently nibbling on her bottom lip and she slowly deepeened the k-ss, then he sent his finger to her br-ast and stroked softly from her loose dress,he swiped to her other br-ast and pressed playfully .
They k-ssed deeply, drawing in each other’s toungue,meanwhile Hale had already slipped a hand into her dress,his fingers skimmed through her body till he got to her
br-ast again and gently circled her n-pple with his thumb, she mo-ned gently into their k-ss then she felt his hands on her zippers .
He unlocked and with one fluid movement had her dress off and k-ssed her again..
“Ashley….” He called as his hands skimmed over her bare chest..
She replied with a smile,he smiled back and k-ssed her there, just then the door opened up and a gobsmacked Eve appeared under the arch.

Episode 13
(Do or die)
The door opened to reveal a gobsmacked Eve, holding a paper bag and the two lovers disengaged from their union.
Ashley held the duvet against her bare chest as Hale recoiled slowly from her but Eve’s l-ips twisted to shape the word..”Oh God!”
Involuntary,she dropped the bag and it landed with a flump but she didn’t flinch.
“Seriously Eve!” Hale yelled in angry tones.
“Fun spoiler..”Ashley eyeballed Eve who stood stock still on her track staring at both of them in disbelief.
“I’m sorry to batch in on you like that,I came to deliver what she sent me to get….”Eve voice cracked,she was visible hurt.
“So you couldn’t knock.?” Hale seethed giving her a hateful look.
“I’m sorry I didn’t know this was your room,I was just trying all the rooms. I tried everywhere,this was the last room.” Her voice was sober this time.
“So why’s it on the floor,and what are you still doing there?why can’t you just leave,go get some rest..” He chided and Eve blinked her blue eyes which was filled with tears.
“I’m sorry, I’ll just go to my room..” she said but didn’t leave.
Eve would’ve been rooted at that one s₱0t for ages if Hale didn’t yell at her.
“Get out! Go to hell,I don’t care. Out and lock my door!!” He thundered and she flinched.
“Okay,okay…” Eve jumped away from that s₱0t at once.
“Get out…!” He shouted a little impatient.
“What’s wrong with that woman?” Ashley giggled girlishly stifling the urge to burst into a boisterous laughter as she watch Eve disappear out of sight.
“I don’t know but she’s way too annoying..” He huffed and thumped on the bed.
Ashley ran her fingers through her hair. “Overtly..” then placing a hand on his shoulder,she add..”let’s forget about her,where was I?”
“I’m going out,she just ruined my mood..” Hale said and made to leave the bed but Ashley held him by his wrist, stopping him from doing so.
“Are you leaving me alone?” She narrowed her eyes at him amid loosening her grip on him.
“Babe I’m going out. put on something nice if you want to come along..” he climbed down from the bed.
“I’m not coming..” she frowned still rooted on the bed.
“Alright stay..” Hale replied airily walking up to the closet.
“Is that all what you’re going to say?” She asked..
“What do you want me to say?” He asked, with his back to her.
“Nothing just stay with me..”
“I need to go out..”
“Please don’t go, you know we were in the middle of something..” she begged, sitting up on the bed.
He stopped by the closet and turned to her. “I’m no longer in the mood Ash..”
“Don’t worry I’ll put you in the mood,oh c’mon baby.”she invited amorously and huskily but he
stood by the closet, staring at her, without moving a muscle, undecided.
Wordlessly,she let the duvet drop off from her body as if to prove a point,got down from the bed and stood unashamedly unclad infront of him,her orb prominently outlined against her silk p-nt,with her bare br-ast dancing quiveringly on her chest.
“Ashl….”
“Shhhh….” She shued cutting him off, then ran the tip of her toungue over her l-ips.
“I hope sleeping with Eve hasn’t affected your pysche that you now have a phobia for me?” She taunted teasingly.
“Seriously?”Hale whisper yelled.
“Are you going to get unclad or just stand there and watch me?,all I want now is you deep in,side of me..” she invited again with a wink and a mischievous smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
Hale looked on, engrossed in his own thoughts. Gradually he felt something stir within him, aflame he pushed back his hair and made for her.
She moved backwards towards the bed,then lying on it gently and trance-like their eyes locked in expressible desire.

What did I do wrong?why is he doing this to me?.. Eve thought as she raced into her room and slammed the door shut.
She had no idea on what to do.
Seeing the two lovers together,has made the full realization of what she’s being taken as,dawn on her.
“I am a slave! slave! a slave!!”
She cried hysterically, scattering the pillow and duvet from the bed with every force that she could muster. Eve fell on the bed and cried uncontrollably until she fell asleep.
The next day….
At 11:00 while tens of thousands of people were awake, going about their daily routine,others either by choice or nature of their lives were still in bed.
One of those who remained in bed by the nature of her life was Eve.
She layed slumped on the bed,staring at the ceiling ,the same way she’s been doing since that morning.
It’s been so difficult staying with people who hated her.
She didn’t see any reason in going down, knowing that it’ll be another day of getting banged up and moreover Hale hasn’t shown up,she haven’t seen Hale since last night and bad,he doesn’t even care to come check on her.
Maybe he doesn’t need her, it’s better to stay in,side than see him and his annoying fiancee.
Eve stared at the ceiling, trying not to think about him but found herself doing so.
What was he doing?
Is he feeling remorseful for what happened yesterday?
She tried to push what she witnessed with him, out of her mind but the scene kept appearing.
What’s he going to say when he sees her?
Will he apologize and send Ashley out?
What if she goes out now, will he act corncern and ask what she’s been doing in,side and how she’s feeling?
She tried to move her body but her head and bones arched,so she layed back on the bed but then a knock came on the door.
“One moment please” She called faintly, pushing the covers off her shoulder and hurling her weak frame out of the bed. She glanced at the wall clock, fifteen minutes past Eleven. Quickly,she straightened her nightdress and arranged her sleep disheveled hair, wondering what to do with the duvet and pillows scattered all over the floor,when the knocking resumed..
“Eve,open up !!..”
Hale’s voice came in a near hush this time as she wobbled to the door.
She opened the door a crack.”oh I’m sorry Hale,I didn’t know it was you..”
She trailed and made a swaying motion as if to fall but gripped the doorcase for support.
“What are you still doing here?, what’s the time, don’t you have anything doing?” Hale queried, ignoring the dull look on Eve’s face.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can do anything today. ..” Eve whinned.
“You must be joking, who’ll do your chores?.” He frowned.
“It’s not bad to care for once..”
She left the door and wobbled in,side,he followed behind her into the room but stopped immediately his eyes met the mess in the room.
“What happened here?” He inquired.
“You slept with her, didn’t you?” Eve asked ignoring his question as she crossed to the window.
“Stop Eve? I’m not here to lecture you on my life with Ashley..” he quiped.
“You still slept with her even after seeing you two. You went on, not caring about my feeling,why are you this inhuman towards me. Each time you do this, I feel like my heart is being stabbed. You keep reviving all the pains I tried to put behind me. Tell me,is it really that hærd for you to force your heart to accept a person like me. If not for anything for the sake of the vow we both shared in God’s alter. I try to fit in with you, know you,bring myself to accept you as a husband but you don’t make things easy…” Tears rolled down her cheeks and he went to her..
“Do you have to cry about every little thing?” He asked, placing both hands on her cheeks but she wh¡pped them off.
“Leave me alone! Don’t touch me! Stay away from me!!!”
She yelled and backed away from him.
“Woman….” He started and stopped.
“What are you going to do this time?,take me as a punching bag?”
She asked but got no reply from the man who stared at her hatefully.
“I never knew you could be this cold. I never knew you could be this cold and heartless, how can you treat me like a maid in your own house?,we are married for Christ sake. what is wrong with you?”
She scolded Hale who scoffed.
“I don’t love you and you know it.” He admonished.
“I’m not asking you to do that but at least you should try some respect,just the same way I’m doing to you. I respect you alot,why can’t you do the same to me?,why are you this heartless?why do you keep hurting me this way?,what did I ever do to you…?” She barked in tears.
“If you know the full story, you’ll want out of life..” He warned.
She looked up at him.”Tell me the full story. Tell me what I need to know..”
“I can’t Eve..” he looked over her shoulder.
“You can’t cause there’s nothing to explain..” she yelled amids sobs.
“Eve…” He called, trying to conceal his irritation towards her.
“Stop it, just stop it okay. Don’t Eve me..!” She choked on a sop and Hale found himself glaring at her.
“You’re my wife, you’ll listen to me.” He seethed.
“In as much as I’m your wife,you need to stop all this. Enough is enough!!” She snapped and quickly regretted it but it was too late.
Hale slapped her so hærd that instantly her head spun from dizziness and gradually everything around her began to swirl round and round. She moved a hand to her left cheek,where he had hit and held it there.
How will she put an end to all this malhandling?
She had no idea on what to do?
Maybe leaving the marriage will be a good idea.
“You’re my wife, good and clean but there’s a boundary to it,so I want you to respect that boundary. Stop crossing your limit. You don’t talk to me the way you like!!” He pointed out as fresh tears roll down the lady’s cheeks.
“Fine..” she bit her l-ips as if to muffle the cry that was welding in,side of her. “I’m tired of being treated like a slave,I don’t think this marriage can still work?”
“You’re beginning to sound sarcastical..” he scoffed.
“That’s because you treat me like I don’t matter. I can’t do this anymore.” She whimpered.
“So what are you trying to say?” He wriggled his brows.
“Let’s split up. I’ll get a divorce” She expounded and he laughed,hærd.
“You can’t leave me Eve. You’re stucked.” He stated and she sniffled.
Eve took a step backwards. “Oh hell I’m not. I’ll leave you and you’ll watch me do it..”
“Go ahead and try it..” he dared.
“You’re making this wh0le marriage thing look like a do or die affair..” Eve wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
“That’s because it’s a do or die affair, you’re married to me and there’s no way you can leave me. Try anything stupid and you’re dead.”
That was meant to scare her and it did.
“What? did you just threaten me?” Eve asked,her voice quiving.
“I didn’t, I mean all what I just said. You still remember that for better or for worse part,so don’t try me. I can be very wicked..” he warned through clenched teeth.
“What’s wrong with you?, I can see that you don’t need me,why can’t you just let me go..?” She queried, gaining in sharpness too.
“That’s because you belong to me,so I can choose to do anything I want with you and dispose you anytime I want, like I said I can be very wicked especially when annoyed. So don’t piss me off, understood?.”
What? Did he just say she belongs to him? Did he say he can do anything he want with her and dispose her when he likes?
What’s all this?
Is this a man she came to be with?
“You know what, I hate you with so much passion. I hate you Hale! I hate you!!” She yelled slipping into an edge of hysteria.
“And that feeling is mutual,when you’re done crying. You know what to do..”He said hoarsely and walked out of the room, slamming the door noisily behind him.
“To hell with you Hale! To hell with you!!” She said slipping down the wall and sitting on the floor.
