I interrupted as I picked up my glass of wine which was on the table all these while, I sipped slowly waiting for his reply.

“Dad!! “I heard her voice as she came into the empty dark room turning on the light in a flick of an eye.
I ignored her, she came towards me and then stood before me,
“Hope I performed so well today? “She asked and I scoffed.
I don’t know why she have to lose into Riley all the time, is she that so bad at ballerine dances?
I stood up in my rage and slapped her across her face which got her cheek painted with reddish color,
I threw my cigarette to the floor and then stamped on it glaring at her still,
“Dad… ”
I slapped her again for calling my name and I heard her soft sobs as she fell to the floor,
“How dare you! How dare you not win over her again? ”
“Dad its… ”
I made to hit her again but she covered her face screaming into my ears to stop hitting her to the extent that her mom rushed into the room,
“What’s wrong honey? “She asked rushing to her daughter’s side and helping her to her feet,
I ignored her my full attention focused on my daughter,
“Look Riele, do you know how much I spent to train you in that ballerine school?
What’s so hard about winning over someone? ” I yelled and she sobbed silently hugging her mom who protected her from me just incase I hit her again,
“Stop this honey! She’s young! ”
“Did I hear you say young?.. ” I chuckled devilishly staring at my wife with a mocky look in my eyes
“…. Young? Riley is old then? Huh! Riley is her age mate!! Riley is her age mate!! ”
I banged the table while she screamed again hugging her mom tightly,
“Honey stop scaring her away from us!!! ”
“Then she should win over her for once!! All her life she never won over her for once!!!!

Silence descended in the room while breath and sobs was heard all around the room.

He hit me again… Just like other days after each ballerine dances which involved I and Riley.
I sobbed running upstairs to my room, I was happy that I met a friend today who can play guitar but then, my dad ruined my day for me again.
Why? Why can’t I win over Riley for once?!
Why can’t I beat her and stop being hit by my dad every day?
Each time I had a ballerine dance and Riley was in the dance show with me, I’d get a bad day.
Not only that, I wake up every morning to meet scars on my face.
Why? What does she have in her legs and hands that I don’t have?

I sobbed the more lying down on the bed, tonight my dad hit my mom cuz of me,

It hurts me a lot,
My door bell jingled…
“Don’t come in”I snapped in a heavy crying voice,
That person didn’t seem to hear cuz I heard its footsteps coming into my room,
I looked up angrily only to discover that it was my mom, she smiled reassuringly at me and then made me sit up and lean on her.
“Mom.. ”
“Its okay”she patted my shoulder,
“I can’t win over her”I confessed and she hushed me,
“You can and that’s what your dad is trying to teach you,
Don’t hate your dad no matter how cruel he is to you, he’s just trying to be a good dad ”
“How? By hitting you infront of me”
“Its not that… ”
“Then what!? ”
“Just calm down “she patted my shoulder while I sobbed still,
No matter what she said, it will never make me to stop hating that man called my father!!
RILEY💃
After my classes, I left for home under the care of my bodyguards,
I came into my house (penthouse) and headed upstairs to undress my self.
Which I did so quickly before coming downstairs,
My Nanny was already setting food in the dining for me to eat,
I sat down on the dining chair and smiled briefly at her as a sort of greeting for the food.
She placed a plate infront of me and then scooped some steamed rice into it and then another plate which she added some stew in it, and another filled with fried eggs and fried meat,
Another much bigger filled with fruit salad just for me alone,
“Its okay, I’m good with these ones, thanks”I said and she stopped serving providing fork and spoon for me,
“Thanks”I mumbled collecting the spoon and fork from her and then inspected it cuz of dirt,
“Did you… Did you wash this? “I asked sternly peering into her eyes
“I did or you want me to wash them again? “She asked cheerfully,
I keep on wondering why such a middle aged woman like her is always cheerful and ever smiling towards me,
Is life that simple to her?
Always free and any little and slightest insult I gave her, she’d laugh it off as if it was nothing.
Psst!
“No, don’t bother am hungry and I won’t wait up for you to do that “I replied turning my attention to the food infront of me so I could eat.
An hour later,
I was done, she packed up the plates while I left for my room to do what I knew best which is sleeping since I wasn’t going for any practice today.
I lay down on my bed and then slept off the next minute…
A tap on my leg woke me up from sleep later,
I yawned and stretched on my bed before I sat up to know who woke me up,
It was my nanny as i came to know.
I scoffed,
“Now what! Didn’t you see that I was sleeping?? Huh! How can you be so clueless about… ”
“There’s a problem and your bodyguards needs you out of here right now! “She interrupted me.
“Problem? What kind of… “I didn’t speak again when I saw one of my bodyguards coming into my room and I swiftly covered my bare hands and shoulders with my duvet.
“Can’t you knock! What if am naked? ”
Gosh! How can they barge into my room like the hell! What if I was undressing?
“Riley there’s… ”
“Go out and knock first! “I interrupted him and he stood staring at me,
“Get the hell out and knock! That’s what I said!! ”
“Its really urgent… ”
“How urgent when you… Like what the hell! I said get the hell out and knock! “I raged glaring at him with so much anger in my eyes,
Who does he think he is?
Who made him think he can lord over me just because he’s my bodyguard when am the one paying him for his job?
He didn’t even listen to me, he stepped closer to me against my warnings,
“I said you should get out!!..(I was still speaking when he climbed into the bed and grabbed me into his arms) ” Let me go!! ”
He hung me on his neck and made away with me while I hit his back repeatedly as he rushed the stairs with me on him.
“Open the car door!! “I heard him command and then the next minute,
I found myself inside the car and before I could even shout or get out,
The car zoomed off….
