I’m gonna get you screwed up for the rest of your life!! “I threatened but it didn’t seem to move him.
I became scared, what’s wrong? What’s really wrong?
“What’s… “My eyes widened when I saw a car driving with full speed coming towards our direction.
It was coming with full speed and I screamed,
“Nooooooo!!! ”
It was too late, it crashed into us almost immediately and our car began to swerve and swerve until I lost myself….

I didn’t stop practicing when I got home with my friend,
I can’t believe it!
Like seriously??
I’m gonna play for Riele tommorow and then help her practice to the strings of my guitar which I barely learned!
I chuckled playing my strings while my friend was busy in the kitchen making our dinner which we gonna eat.

I nodded my head at the beautiful melody I made out of my hands,

A clap interrupted me from playing further,
“Wow! Seems like you’re improving aren’t you? “Ben was the one behind the clap,
I smirked still willing to play further,
“Am I that good? “I asked and he nodded in affirmation.
“Super good Carson but… ”
“What? ”
“You rush the strings a little bit, look at how you made the lyrics so jam packed like that ”
“I don’t understand ”
“I mean, you should be giving the lyrics spaces, like now….
🎼Do-n’t–sl-eeep–on—the couch a–gain… “He stressed the words….
“That’s it, so that playing the strings won’t be a little bit hard”
He advised and I nodded sighing,
“Okay, lemme go again”
I sang the first lyric of the song again playing the strings and he was clapping and nodding his head for me until I began to recall the past;
* “You dumb head! What do you know? ”
“Mom! But Damien is the one at fault! He tore my drawing book! ”
“And so? What if he tore it? ”
“Mom but… ”
“Don’t speak again, get inside your room now! ”
I stood with tears in my eyes holding my torn drawing book which Damien tore cuz I refused to show him what I drew inside of it.
“I said get inside blockhead!!… And give that to me! “She grabbed my book and tore into shreds in my very eyes…. *
I began to get worse in playing,
“Sh-e-key-enk-whs-bs-mls-sh “sounded my guitar as pain surged into my heart,
”There you go again! You were playing so wonderfully until now! ”
I stood up, dumped my guitar on the ground and left for my room dumping myself afterwards on my bed.
I breathed hard,
I need to be loved, someone who’d tell me that everything is fine and okay, someone who is gonna be there for me and smile for me when I needed it the most.
That someone who won’t ever leave me no matter what! I need someone I will lean on, someone who’d encourage me and never call me a blockhead,
Someone who will tell me how great am going to be and how am the most valuable person in the world,

He came closer to my bedside while I buried my face into my pillow,
“Stop acting childish Carson, we have to eat ” I felt his weight on the bed sitting down after he said so,
I didn’t talk back to him, he tapped my head and I didn’t even stir or look up to his face.
He sighed remaining silent for a while before I heard him speak again:
“Look, you have a chance now and that’s playing for Riele,
I swear to you that its a nice breakthrough to what you and I want
You won’t be great if you keep on being this way, huh!
She thinks you can play the guitar and you have to really show her that you can
Carson C’mon, you have to be free huh! You have to be free!! ”
His words seemed to be lifting my spirit again so I sat up from the bed standing on my knees while my hair ruffled as it was rested on my forhead.
“Ben I… ”
“That’s okay “He squeezed my palm before he walked out of my room.
I gaht this right? I have to make myself proud. Yes! I really have to!!
I hopped out of my bed and walked sluggishly out of my room….
Next morning,
RIELE💃
The rattles on the television(plasma TV) hung on my room wall was what woke me from sleep,
I fluttered my eyes open and strained my ears to hear more of what the television was saying ;
RILEY, WORLD FAMOUS BALLERINE DANCER GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT…
What!
I sat up immediately to look at the television itself,,
HER CHAUFFEUR GAVE A WRONG DRIVE AND THAT MADE…
Oh no! This isn’t good!
Her picture was displayed immediately as she was being rushed to the hospital and then on a stretcher moving into a VIP ward.

How? Why? An accident??
I don’t think this is good!… I hopped out of my bed running into the living room to see my mom and dad already at the dining taking breakfast.
“Mom”I turned to her nervously while she gave the same stares.
“Dad”I turned to him too “Riley got into an accident “I reported really nervous about it.
I tucked my hair into the back of my ears waiting for his reply as he sipped his tea quietly,
“Dad… ”
“And what if she got into an accident? ”
“It’s not supposed to be dad”I argued really caring about her health right now,

He cleared his throat dropping his cup on the table noisily standing up to face me,
He was taller than I was so I heard to look up before my gaze could meet his,
“And?? If she’s injured that means you’ve got a chance to win now”
My ears flared up as I stared at the monster before me, what’s he trying to say? I don’t want to believe what my mind is telling me,,
I turned to my mom who was surprised too,
“What… What are you saying?… “I was short of words as a lump came to my throat,
“What am saying is… You can win now with her out of the way”
“So.. So.. You set her up? “I asked trying not to burst away…what’s wrong with my own dad?
Why did I get a dad like him?
What’s he so desperate about me winning? Why is he so reckless!!
I boiled in anger as I panted heavily,
“I never said I can’t win without… ”
“Its obvious you can’t win over her but now its your chance!
I heard her ankle is broken so she can’t dance now until she’s properly healed up “he gave me a smirk with a lot smiles on his face.
He stood closer to me and gave me a peck on my forehead before whispering:
“Go on there my baby and make me a proud dad”
He patted my shoulder afterwards before brushing past me,
I fell to the floor with my heart beating really fast,
I want to die!
I want to really die!!
I began to sob loudly… My mom rushed to my side and held me close to herself,
“Its okay ”
“Its not okay mother, my dad is a monster ”
“He’s not ”
“He is!! I want to die!! ”
“You can’t Riele”
“I want to mom… He just stopped someone’s talent, mother! He had just ruined Riley!!! ”
“That’s not for you to say to anyone Riele, else life is gonna be more difficult for you”
I sobbed the more,
“You have to protect your dad’s name at all cost, he only meant well for you
He wants… ”
“He wants to what! My life will never be same again whenever I set my eyes on her from now on remembering that my dad made her whatever she’s gonna be… “I hiccuped…
I’m hurt!
Terribly hurt by everyone and my mom isn’t helping matters but telling me not to hate my dad like the hell!!
“I want to die mom”
“You won’t, life is always like that Riele, move on and forget about her”
“She’s good, she never wronged me”
“That’s not for you to say, just do what your dad said you should do
Forget… “She gulped hard swallowing some croaky voice which had started building up in her voice,
“Forget about her Riele and move on ”
I sobbed and sobbed, huccupping and breathing hard at every tears that dropped out of my eyes….
