I opened my eyes slowly to see myself in a new environment with my aunty by my side,
“Oh my! Gosh! Are you okay? “She touched my forehead and I felt a slight pain on my leg,
“Ouch! Argh! “I groaned looking at my leg to see a big plaster on my left leg and placed on a soft foam on the bed.
I coughed weakly trying to recall what happened that landed me in the hospital.
“Are you okay now? “She asked me again touching my forehead once more,
I flung her hand away and yawned feeling pain in my throat and that’s when I recalled my ballerine dance show… My eyes widened as I turned to my aunt almost immediately.
“Aunt! “I tried getting up but can’t cuz of pain,
“Yes, relax okay, you’re not good to go”she pushed me back to the bed and dressing the duvet for me,
“what happened? “I asked her and she smiled at me,
“You got into an accident but you will be okay ”
“Accident?? How??… Oh no! “I recalled what happened, how my chauffeur was driving like a crazy guy landing into another car infront of us….
“How long have I been here? “I asked again with tears streaming down my eyes,
“Don’t cry, its just been a day”
“A day?? ”
“You will be fine”she assured me as I nodded forcing my eyes to close up again and sleep.
Why? What happened? Why did they carry me to the car and get me into an accident?
They will see what am gonna do to them when I get out of this bed… I’m gonna fire all of them! They’re all fired!!
I opened my eyes again to see my Aunt looking at my face,
“Look… “She made to say something but the doctor came in with a nurse following closely behind,
I looked up to him and then looked away,
He came to my side and began to treat my leg,
I groaned a little as he pressed my leg softly,
“Where do you feel pain? “He asked me massaging my leg while I kept quiet looking at him,
My aunt put in words for me,
“She’s not herself now so she can’t talk”
“Okay”he massaged my leg again while I grunted in pain half closing my eyes,
He then touched my head and that’s when I realized that there was a bandage on my head,
“Doctor… “My aunt called as he turned to look at him,
“Will she able to walk again? “She asked
“Why not but it will take time”
“And dance again? “She asked again this time looking at me,
My heart skipped, where exactly am I injured? What kind of injury?
“Uhm… I don’t think so, her ankle… ”
“My ankle what? “I snapped in utmost curiosity,
Ankle what! What’s wrong? Hold on? Are they trying to tell me that.. that dancing is.. is questionable now?
“Let’s not talk about this here woman “he referred to my aunt,
“Speak! “I cut in again holding his arm as he made to leave since he was done with examining me.
“Riley let him go, I will talk… ”
“Speak! “I ignored her still holding onto his arm,
“Your ankle is broken and I don’t think you can be able to dance again until its healed”
I stiffened letting go off my hand on him,
I blinked my eyes staring at him,
“What did you just say? “I asked
I want to hear him say those words again to me,
My ankle! Is he saying that my legs are now useless??
No! That’s not true and can never be true!
I’m the world most famous ballerine dancer and I will remain so!
I looked at my bandaged leg and back to his face again,
“Take heart Riley, you will be fine and will be able to walk but… ”
“But!! I can’t dance!! Then I’m useless then!!
I’m fuvking useless!! Cut my legs off so I will know that I have no legs at all!!
What’s all these? I can’t dance!! You’re kidding me right?
You’re not serious, you’re joking right? “I asked tears streaming down my face,
He shook his head sighing as he walked out of the room with the nurse following suit,
“Come back here and tell me the truth!!
Aunt… “I turned to her wailing,
“I can’t dance aunt, are you aware of it? ”
She came to my bedside and held me close to herself kissing my forehead while I sobbed on her shoulder.
Yeah! Everything won’t be okay again after today, I won’t be alright after today… I sobbed the more.
Someone came into the room,
“Ma’am, the press are here in the hospital to speak to Riley “… One of my bodyguard’s voice,
I sprang up from my aunt’s bosom with utmost anger in my eyes,
“You!!! … “I pointed at him as he bowed lowly at me,
I churned in anger looking for any weapon to hit him with but I couldn’t find any,
“You!! You’re fired!! ”
“Miss?? ”
“Don’t you dare miss me scum bag!! You’re fired and tell everyone in my house that they are all fired!!
Even my Nanny!! Everyone is fuvking fired!!! ”
“Riley take it slow with them.. ”
“With them!? My legs are crippled because of them!! You’re all fired!! I don’t want to meet anyone in my house!! “I panted for breath looking at the puzzled look on his face,
“You’re all fired!! and get the hell out of here now before I call the cops!! ”
He couldn’t move , he tried kneeling down infront of us but I threw a glass cup which was by my aunt’s side to him if not that he dodged it,

He ran out while my aunt tried puling me into her again, I didn’t stop shouting ;

I’m crippled!! I’m fuvking crippled!! ”

“But am never able to dance again”
“You can, okay?? “She petted me while I sobbed unend…

I sat down at the location which we promised to meet each other for the dance,
I sighed touching my guitar over and over again until I noticed someone beside me through the shadows of the sun on the ground.
I turned to see her alone with no bodyguard, only her and her bag,
She managed a smile for me before sitting down beside me,
Her face was pale and unhealthy meaning that she had been crying for a long while before coming here,
I cleared my throat feeling nervous as I sat close to her,
She tucked her short black blonde hair to the back of her ear and looked at me,
“I’m not happy today “she said before looking up to the sky almost immediately and crossing her legs into the other,
“I noticed”I managed to say,
“Yeah, Riley’s accident really hurt me so much”
Riley?? Accident?? When?? Wasn’t she the person I saw two days ago?
“Uhm.. Riley had an accident? ”
”Yeah, her ankle is broken.. Haven’t you heard of it? ”
“Oh.. No”
Oh gosh! That rude girl had an accident, that’s bad!
Her ankle is broken! That’s so fuvking bad…
“She had a broken ankle and… Never mind”she smiled briefly,
“We are good friends tho… ”
“But she’s rude”
“She have to be, she has no parents and she lives alone if not for her ageing aunt… ”
Why am I the only person who doesn’t know anything about this Riley of a girl?
She’s an orphan? So she’s having a tough time just like me! She’s similar to me if not that mine are still alive!
“I’m so sorry for her”I said coldly and she turned to look at me,
“Yeah, I am too but… “She began to sob covering her face with her palms,
I stared at her puzzled, someone she barely knew and she’s crying infront of him!
I smirked silently looking at her unable of what to do, after sometime I brought my hand nervously to her shoulder and touched it,
It seemed to trigger her off into crashing her head on my shoulder,
I froze tilting my head to look at her crying face,
Her head feels warm on my shoulder , I cleared my throat and then began to rub her head with my palm.

It felt awkward but I had no choice, this famous Riele girl cries makes me feel like everyone is just like me,
Everyone has its own problems even Riley who’s an orphan,
She suddenly stopped crying after thirty minutes,
“You know I’ve always wanted to defeat Riley with her ankles alright and her ball dancing really perfect and not now that she’s got a problem,
I always wanted to win over her since my dad hit me everyday cuz of her… ”
What I was saying, everyone is just like me too, a problem which is eating us up even though they appear cheerful and rich,
She’s got a hitting father while I’ve got a orphan-like kinda life, she stands out cheerful and famous but deep down she’s got a huge hole in her heart.
“He hits me each time I had ball dancing with her, he always wanted me to win over her and… And now she’s in the hospital which gives me what I wanted in a very wrong way ”
I sighed listening to her, why is she telling me all these now? I smirked,
“I shouldn’t talk about myself this way I know but… That’s how I feel ”
“I’m sorry… ”
“I don’t need you to pity me ”
I kept quiet as she raised her head up from my shoulder standing up infront of me,
“Here, play your guitar, I want to feel good”she said feigning a smile and I nodded my head,
I positioned my self to play but like magic, my guitar slipped off my hand and landed on my left toe,
A grunt escaped my lips as a sharp pain surged into me, I held my leg immediately,
“Ouch!! ”
She ran to my side holding onto my leg which was hurting so much,
“What’s wrong? Where did it hit you? “She asked and I pointed to my toe, she squatted still holding onto my leg and began to blow on it….
