“Natasha has sent a text, Clement will be meeting a client by 11:am, Clara said and checked the wall clock, ” we have barely an hour to get there, Jay said. “Yea, you know you have to look very very very se…. I mean beautiful, Chris said as all eyes was on him. ” get prepared then, Eli said and the ladies went to the room leaving the guys behind. “What do you think? Jay asked. ” I know Clem still loves Clara, and he will believe whatsoever she will tell him, Joe said. “Hmmmm what if she denies it? Who will testify against her? Chris asked. ” I don’t mind doing that, Joe said. “Eh! You dey craze? Eli asked. ” who is looking for testimony or what from Nora or do you think Nora can be arrested? Let’s bring the bitch down for life, Marcus, one of Eli men said and they all looked at him surprised. “Bro true talk oo, more sense to you, Jay concurred. ” what about Francisssss? Chris dragged the name and jay got up worried, “something is telling me he will be seeking for revenge, I’m so scared oo, he said. ” I fit hit you my own now for head, who suppose fear each other now huh? Eli asked angry. “It’s ok it’s OK, I’ll come up with a plan for Francis because I know he is seriously looking for us, this time it will be bloody. Clement left the office few minutes to the time he arranged and Nora guards were looking at him as he left, then one of them approached Natasha, ” hey where is he going to? He asked. “Why not ask him yourself? Are you scared? She asked back. ” bitch, he said to her leaving. “Bulldog, she replied him making sure he heard it very well. Clem arrived at the restaurant they arranged and already saw the client waiting, ” oh I’m sorry for coming late, he quickly apologised shaking hands with him. They ordered for a bottle of wine to decorate the table at least while they discussed business. Few minutes later Clara and the ladies except Andrea arrived, “you go fit do am? Tessy asked as Joy killed the engine in front of the building. Clara heaved a sigh and nodded and they came out from the car and entered the building. They passed by Clem who was busy with business but Clem stopped talking when he perceived a scent of a perfume. Clara was already backing him as they went to take thier seat and Clem saw her face as she sat down, ” Clara, he whispered with shock as he watched her laughing with the ladies and the waiter came to take thier orders, “sir are you OK? The client asked him but Clem was already on his feet staggering to Clara place. ” Clara, you’re alive, he said and hugged her before she could say anything. Clara forcefully disengaged from the hug, “what nonsense is this? And who the hell is Clara? She asked him getting on her feet. ” Clara is me, can’t you recognise me? It’s me Clement, he said trying to hold her. “Hey stop it! I think you’re mistaken here, I’m not Clara ok so cut it, Clara said. ” no no it’s you Clara, what happened to you? Clem still insisted. “How e dey do you for body? Tessy asked. ” you no dey hear? She no be Clara, Joy came in. “Sir please this is not allowed here, you’re chasing them from here, the waiter said to Clement. ” don’t tell me that, this is my wife, can’t I talk with my wife? Clem shouted back. “I think he’s insane, please forget about the orders we are leaving, Clara said picking her car keys on the table. ” Clara please wait, I searched for you I swear, please forgive me, Clem said running after her as they left. “I go throw you punch for face oo, which kind nonsense be this? Joy got angry facing him. ” please just tell me you’re Clara, Clem said with a pleading face soaked with tears and Clara turned to him, “you want to know the truth? She asked and he quickly nodded, ” I’m not Clara and I don’t know who is Clara, she replied. “Ok, what’s your name? Clement asked. ” Francisca, Clara replied. “I’m sorry if I embarrassed you in there, it’s just that you look exactly like my missing wife. I couldn’t hold it anymore, I’m sorry, Clem said cleaning his tears as Clara silently prayed for the grace not to mess up. ” it’s OK, I hope you see her soon, Clara said. “That’s my prayer, can I please have your number? I’ll love you to meet her whenever I see her so you’ll see you have an identical sister, Clem said and she smiled. ” is that necessary or are you just looking for an avenue to get my number, Clara said. “Please I won’t let you go, I really hope we can see and talk please, Clem said. ” you don’t know me and I’m meeting you for the first time. Besides you’re married, I hate embarrassment, Clara said. “No please there won’t be anything like embarrassment, I just have this feeling to come close to you, you don’t understand how I’m feeling right now, please let me have your number I’m begging, Clem said. ” ok, Clara said and Clement quickly brought out his phone and she typed down her number, “thanks Clara, Clement said. ” excuse me, I’m Francisca, she said sternly. “I’m sorry, I’ll call you, thank you so much, Clem said but they ignored him and drove off.

Make I follow speak English, Tessy said. ” she dey cry ba? Joy asked as she was driving. “Follow me see oo, Tessy replied and Joy heaved not saying anything. Clara took her phone and dialled Natasha number, ” yea what’s up? She asked. “I’ve met with him, she said slowly. ” and? Natasha asked excitedly, “I’ll be coming to your house this evening, she replied. ” oh I’ll be waiting, see ya, she said and ended the call smiling happily.

They arrived home and Clara was the first to leave the car and sat down sad on the sofa while the guys just watched her wondering what happened. Soon Tessy and Joy came in, “what happened? Jay asked and they fell heavily on the sofa, ” anyway she no fall our hands, she denied being Clara even when Clem dey insist, Tessy said. “Did he believe her? Joe asked. ” I no know for am o but I like the way Clara form for am sha, Tessy replied. “He collect number? Eli asked. ” eh, Joy replied and Andrea went and sat with Clara, “I understand, it’s OK, she said holding her on her shoulders. ” no you don’t understand, I can’t believe seeing Clement today but but… Clara stammered cleaning her tears leaning on Andrea. “Please be strong, if you want to follow your feelings it will rule over you and our mission will be destroyed. Develop yourself now because I know Clem is not satisfied and he’s going bring memories that will make you weak when next you two meet, don’t Fail us, Joe said to Clara as Andrea kept consoling her. ” why is Clem in this matter? For me he has done nothing, Andrea said. “Clement is a weakling and something is telling me if he finally knows the truth of how he has been a fool all these years, I’m sure he will get on his feet and give Nora to our hands himself, Jay said. ” we have to use all avenues to get Nora, Joe came in. “And after all this, will they get back together? Andrea asked and Clara looked at her, ” excuse me, she said and left to the room leaving everyone at the sitting room.

Clem returned back to the office with a sad look and went straight to his office, his countenance was so clear that his staffs stayed clear from him. Natasha smiled at that knowing the reasons for that, she closed her book and went to his office boldly. She knocked on the door severally but he didn’t answer, “sir it’s Natasha, she said outside and Clem sluggishly stood up and opened the door for her, ” what’s the problem? He asked as he returned to his seat. “Sir how was the meeting? Did the client said anything bad? She asked. ” tell me something Natasha, have you heard from Clara? Clem asked. “Sir Clara? No I haven’t heard from her, she replied. ” i saw a lady that looks like her in every thing but she said her name is Francisca rather, he said rubbing his head in confusion. “Sir I don’t think Clara will see you and have such boldness to say she isn’t the one, you should know your wife better, Natasha said. ” sometimes hurts and pains can make someone stronger, Clem replied. “So you really think that is Clara? I’ll advice you watch her closely probably get her number and be close to her as a friend so you’ll clear your doubts, Natasha said. ” yea I think I’ll do that, please let this be between us, no one must hear about this, Clem said to her seriously. “No problem sir, with your mood will you be able to attend to the next client by 1:30pm? Or can I cover up for you? She asked. ” I don’t know about that, he replied. “Alright bye, she said and left.

Linda went for her usual hawking and Rose came to visit but she didn’t find her at home, she heaved a sigh and decided to try her luck in looking for her. Linda remembered the old woman and decided to see if she’s back but she found the door still lock, “hmmm I hope all is well? She asked her self and left. Tired from walking round she decided to rest under a shade and she slept off, the old lady and her son wife then saw her, ” she’s the one I told you about, the woman pointed at Linda. “She’s not bad and too young to cater for a child, her son wife replied. ” and she’s a good and well mannered girl, I’ll advice you take her child instead it’s safe rather than adopting from the hospital, the old woman said and Rose heard them but pretended like she didn’t. She went to Linda and tapped her slowly, Linda opened her eye and was surprised she slept off. “Huh, was I asleep? She asked Rose who was looking at her with an angry look. “Can’t you see you’re not fit for this? After tell me you’re weak again, Rose said taking the tray and helping her to get on her feet. She turned and saw the old woman and the lady has already left, ” seems someone is already booking for your unborn child, Rose said to her as they arrived home. “What! Who is that? Linda asked already panicking. ” I saw an old lady with a lady arranging to take your child instead rather than adopting from the hospital, now you have to leave this place, rose said to Linda. “But I have no place to go, what will I do? Linda asked and Rose called Clara. Clara who was moody ignoring the ladies chat in the room heard her phone ringing, she quickly took her phone hoping to see a strange number but it was rose rather. She ended the call and called her back, ” hello dear, she said and Joy looked at her knowing who it was, “mummy good afternoon, she said with a sad tone. ” what’s wrong dear? Clara asked sitting up on the bed, “mum I and my friend is not safe here, some group of people is planning us here very seriously, rose said. “Huh what did you do? Clara asked. ” nothing oo they want to take my friend baby from her when she delivers and I don’t want that to happen, Rose said, “take her baby for what? Why not occupy the house there in Benue for us till we return, Clara said. ” mum what about Lagos? She asked. “No darling, it’s not advisable for now ok, Clara replied. ” ok, now what about the keys? Rose asked and Clara remembered they are with the keys. “Ohhh no, can you stay with my mum? I’ll call her ok, Clara said. ” better, thank you, and how are my parents? rose asked. “Your mum is here, will you talk to her? Clara asked. ” no! Rose shouted and ended the call and Joy rolled her eyes, “she wan carry pregnant girl give you? Joy asked. ” she’s just helping her friend out, Clara said and dialled her mum number. “Thank goodness I was just about calling you, her mum said immediately she picked the call. ” really, Clara said. “Yea guess who’s with me now? She asked. ” oh no I’m not in the mood for that, Clara replied. “It’s your anuty, it’s Prisca, she said shouting on phone. ” huh, you mean anuty Prisca? Please give her the phone, Clara said almost jumping on the bed. “Hello Clara, Prisca voice came through surprised herself. ” anuty is that really you? Oh my God I’ve been trying the number you gave to joe but It’s always switch off, I missed you anuty, Clara said all At once cleaning the tears that was already rolling down her cheeks. “I missed you too darling and I’m happy you’re safe and Sound. How did you know Joe? She asked. ” ermmm anuty is a long story and please don’t tell mum about anything, Clara replied and Prisca quickly understand. “So when are you coming back? Prisca asked. ” I don’t know yet, how did you find mum? She asked. “Business oo my dear, you see this world is a small place, Prisca said. “Oh I’m so happy and I hope you won’t leave soon? Clare asked. ” eh who is leaving soon? I’ll stay here jare, Prisca said and she laughed. “Please give the phone to my mum, Clara said and the phone was handed to her, ” I hope you will come back now right? She asked Clara. ‘No mum, please rose will be bringing her friend to stay with you. We are with the keys please help, Clara said. “What about your house? She asked. ” I’m with the keys nau, and her parents are with Thiers too, Clara replied. “But I’m with your spare key, her mum said and she quickly remembered she once gave her spare key to her, ” that’s better please give the spare key to her when she comes. And please let me talk with anuty Prisca, Clara said and the phone was returned back to her …….

“Start arranging your properties, we are relocating, rose said to her after she ended the call but Linda stood looking at her sad, ” what’s the problem this time? Rose asked. “What if my parents comes back for me? What if they changes thier mind? Linda asked not controlling her tears. ” stop it will you, how many months is it now? Just know they are gone for good ok, Rose said and Linda turned looking round the room not believing she will be leaving the place which meant a lot to her with many memories.

“How was today? Nora met up with one of the Guys, ” as usual it was fine, your husband left in the morning to meet with a client but returned with a sad look, Natasha met him in his office and I eavesdrops on them, he said. “Yessss what was their discussion? Nora asked. ” I met your husband asking her about that same Clara, seems the secretary knows this Clara in person, he said and Nora paced around for a while, “why did he ask about her? She asked him. ” he said he saw someone who looks exactly like her, I couldn’t hear it all so I won’t get caught, he said. “org-nise your guys and give Natasha a friendly visit this night, she knows something and she can’t hide it from me, Nora said and the guy nodded and left.

Hearing Prisca voice on phone brought Joy unspeakable to clara and she totally forgot about the incident she had with Clement. ” have you collected her new number? Joe asked when Clara told him everything. “Ah why won’t I, she said humming a song and eating the food she refused eating. ” madam if you don finish to mourn your husband, remember to meet Natasha this evening oo, Joy said to Clara. “Are you meeting with her today? Joe asked and Clara nodded. ” I’ll take you there then, Joe said and jay sneezed loudly while Chris followed, “no pass am oo, Tessy shouted at them and Chris and Jay burst out laughing. ” hmmm someone is going to see somebody, Jay said getting on his feet first ready to run and everyone quickly understood the drama…
