🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
The rain stopped and we got tired of dancing
It was really fun, Ethan and I sat down on the bench with the girls
I took a quick glance at Ethan, he was dripping w-t and he looked really cute
Soon the driver came by and we stood up to go
“You guys will come back right?” Clara asked
“Yes” I said with a nod
“Promise?” Jenny asked
“Promise” I replied
We entered the car and the driver drove off
“Am taking both you to the house first on your mom’s request” he said
He drove for a few minutes and soon we entered the house
We walked into the sitting room and Mom was there
“I see you guys had your fun in the rain” Mom said as we came in and we kept silent
“I know everything that happened there, Ethan went and call over the kids but Jade was the one that really had fun with them” she said with a sigh
“But I got to be honest, I never wanted you to win the challenge Jade but it seems like you won, congratulations, Ethan won’t be your tutor anymore” mom said in a sad tone
I looked at Ethan and his face was just expressionless
Am supposed to be happy right now, this is what I wanted but strangely, am not happy
“Mom” I called and she looked at me
“Ethan should be the winner, he was the one that told me to apologise to the kids and also brought them over, if Ethan hadn’t done anything, I’ll never have been able to make friends with the girls perhaps the girls consider both of as friends” I said
Somehow, I don’t know how, I want to keep seeing Ethan, I want him to remain as my tutor
I think am starting to like him, he’s really nice
“You….you are giving up your chance of winning?” Mom asked suprised
“Yeah, Ethan made it happen perhaps I still want him to be my tutor and I promise Mom, this time I’ll really try my best to to concentrate” I said
“Okay then, though am really surprised, let’s call it a win-win then, it’s that okay with you Ethan?” Mom asked Ethan
“Yes ma’am” he said and I smiled
“So I guess the tutoring will start tomorrow right?” Mom asked and we both nodded
“You can go now Ethan, the driver will take you home” Mom said
“Thanks Ma’am” Ethan said and walked out of the house but I ran after him
“Ethan” I called and he turned to look at me
“Thanks and am sorry” I said
“Why” he asked looking surprised
“Thanks for helping me out with the girls today and am sorry for every bad thing I’ve ever done to you, am gonna start changing Ethan, I promise” I said
“Why do you want to change all of a sudden” he asked still surprised
“Because of you Ethan, you make me want to change” I said and I immediately cursed myself, stupid me why did I just say such a thing
“Me?” He asked
“Umm…. yeah, you are so nice and good and everyone likes you so I want to be like you” I quickly said and he nodded slowly as if he’s trying to decipher what I said
“You should get going now before you catch a col….” I couldn’t complete my words as I sneezed
“Seems you are the one that already got a cold” he said with a smile
“Am not cold” I said but I sneezed again and Ethan laugh
Awnn, he’s dimples fully came when he laughs, so cute
“You really should go in,side” he said and I nodded
“You’ll come for the tutoring tomorrow right?” I asked
“Of course” he said “I should go now” he said and turned to leave
“Ethan” I called again and he looked back
“We are friends now right?” I asked
“You want to be my friend?” He asked surprised
“Yes” I replied
“Okay” he said
“So we are friends?” I asked and he nodded
“Thanks so much Ethan” I said with a smile
“You should go in now” he said and I nodded
He walked to the car, entered and the driver drove off
Immediately the car left, I jumped up with joy, Ethan is my friend now
Why am I so happy about that?
I walked into the house smiling
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
I came down from the car and the driver zoomed off
I walked into the house and met James helping Sophie to write something
“Ethan” Sophie said as she dropped her pen on the table and ran to hug me
“How are you” I asked
“Am fine” she said with a smile “James is helping me with my homework”
“Whats up man” James said and I smiled
“Lemme get changed Sophie, am all w-t from the rain right now” I said and Sophie nodded
“Come on James” I said and he followed me to my room
“How was it today, any winner yet” he asked and I told him everything that happened
“So Jade still want you to be his tutor?” He asked and I nodded
“She also wants you to be her friend” he said again and I nodded
“She also said she wants to change cause of you” he said
“Yes”
“She was the one that dragged you into the rain?” He said
“Actually, I was already on the rain, she just dragged me from my sea…”
“Just answer me with a yes or no Ethan” he said
“Why are you getting all hyper about this?” I asked
“Promise me you won’t scre-m or go into shock before I drop the bombshell” he said in his normal dramatical way
“What is it James” I asked and he sighed
“I think Jade is falling in love with you Ethan” he said and I laughed
“Are you kidding me, that’s not possible” I said
“That’s what I think Ethan and time will prove if am wrong or right” he said
“Yeah, so why did you come to my house” I asked cause I never invited him over and he didn’t tell me he was coming
“Yeah I almost forgot, my parents are org-nizing a party tomorrow night, I wanted to hand you the invitation” he said bringing out an invitation from his pocket
“You could have just given me in school tomorrow, why did you have to come today?” I asked raising my brow
“I just wanted you to know earlier” he said and I just continued looking at him, he should know that I don’t believe him
“Fine, I was just bored at home” he said and I laughed

I woke up, dressed in my uniform and went off for school
I walked into the class and saw Addisson
“Good morning Addisson” I greeted
“Ethan, good morning, you look great today” she said and I smiled
I walked to my seat and soon James came into the class and came up to me
“Hey man” he said and I looked up
“The time for the party is 7 tonight, you mustn’t miss it or I’ll be all alone and bored” he said
“You won’t be bored, just hang out with any girl that comes to the party”
“Come on man, you know am not good with girls” he said and I smiled
“I’ll be going to Jade’s house for the tutoring lesson, we should be done by 6, then I’ll come over to your place” I said and he smiled
“Thanks bro” he said
“Good morning” someone said and James and I looked up

Jade!!?
Did she just great us with a smile??
“Good morning” Ethan replied with a smile
Okay, why are they both smiling at each other
“James how are you” Jade asked looking at me with a smile
“I…. fine” I stuttered
She nodded and sat down on her seat
She looked at Ethan and smiled, and Ethan smiled
Okay what’s this smiling competition all about
“Ethan, can I speak to you outside” I said and he nodded
He stood up and we went outside the classroom
“What’s up with you and Jade?” I asked
“We are friends” he said with a shrug
“Am your friend too Ethan, but you’ve never smiled at me like that” I said
“Why would I ever smile at you, you aren’t a girl” he replied
“So Jade is a girl to you?”
“Of course, don’t tell me you see her as a boy” he said
“Do you love Jade?” I asked and he scoffed
“You are going crazy James, last time you asked if I love Addisson and now Jade?, Come on man, get a hold of yourself” he said and walked into the class
I sighed and walked into the class too

🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
I walked back to my seat
How can Ethan think I love Jade that’s so unbelievable
“Can we have lunch together later today?” Jade asked jerking me out of me from my thoughts
“Of course” I replied
” Thanks” she said with a smile
We had 3 long classes and soon, it was the bell ranged for a break
James came up to my side
“Come on man, let’s go to the cafeteria” he said
“Sorry, I’ll be going with Jade today” I said and he took a few steps back as if to look at me well
“When did you start having lunch with Jade?” He asked
“There is a first time for everything” I replied
“You really don’t love her?” He asked and I scoffed
“Just go James” I said
“I think you love her” he said in a whisper and left
I looked at Jade, she was still writing something on her book
How can James think that I love her, we are just friends
“Can we go to the cafeteria now?” Jade asked as she put her book in her backpack and I nodded
We left the class and went to the cafeteria though people kept staring at us
We went to the food stand and took and our food and the cooks look surprised on seeing Jade
We sat down on an empty table and began to eat
We talked about different things as we ate, turns out Jade’s really fun to be with
The bell soon rang again and we went back to the class
We had a few more classes and we closed for the day
I went to the bus stop with James and he got off at the bus first stop after reminding to make sure I come early to the party or he’ll die of boredom
The bus stopped again and I got down
I went home and as usual, I met Sophie in the living room
“Where’s Josh, it’s been long I saw him” I asked
“He came home yesterday, but he hasn’t come back since then” she answered
“Okay, have you eaten?” I asked
“Yeah, I cooked” she said and I smiled at her
I went to my room and changed into a black trouser, red top and a black jacket
Minutes later, Sophie came to call me that there’s a car waiting for me
I left the house and sat on the car, then the driver drove off
“Welcome Ethan” Jade’s Mom said as I entered into sitting room
“You can sit, Jade will come soon” she said and I sat on one of the couch
Moments later, Jade climbed down the stairs with her books and sat down beside me
“You look great Ethan, are you going somewhere later?” She asked
“Yeah, am going to James’s” I said and she nodded
We began with physics and I taught her some fundamental rules first
Am glad that she’s really concentrating now
I taught her for two hours and sometimes we joked
It was soon 6pm and I stood up to leave
“Till tomorrow” Jade said and I nodded
“Yeah”
I entered the car and the driver drove off
I told him James address and asked him to take me there
I walked into the mansion and everywhere was already lighted up and there was music and people were already there though they were not much
“Ethan” James called and I looked at him
He was dressed in a suit and he looked really great
“Am so glad you came bro” he said as he hugged me “I was dying of boredom here” he said and I smiled
“Stop being dramatic” I said
“Come on, lemme introduce you to Mom and Dad” he said as he walked off and I followed him
He introduced me to his parents and they were really nice
“I hope James isn’t causing you much trouble cause he’s really naughty” James Dad said
“Come on Dad, am not naughty” James said
“Yeah, you are just troublesome” his Mom said
“Mom!!” James said and I laughed
James parents went off to attend to other guests and James and I just stood as more guest trooped in
James phone suddenly ranged and he picked it up
“Hey” he said
“Okay, am coming”
“Who is it?” I asked
“It’s Addy, she’s here” he said
“You invited her?” I asked
“Yeah, let’s go get her” he said
We walked towards the gate and I saw a girl coming down from a car
It was Addy, she was wearing a long blue gown and she looked so beautiful
She smiled as she saw us and my heart melted away
She’s an angel
“Ethan Ethan” James called but I couldn’t answer, I don’t even know if am still breathing right now
