🌀 Addisson’s POV 🌀
Tears streamed down my face and I quickly cleaned it, I didn’t even realize that I was crying
I turned to look at Jade and she was in tears too
I feel so hurt seeing Ethan in tears
We’ve got to help him, we have to help Ethan
🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
I couldn’t stop myself from crying too
Seeing Ethan in so much pain breaks my heart
Why does this have to happen to him, last time he was framed for theft and now his brother is framed for drug trafficking
He needs your help Jade, you should help him prove Josh’s innocence; a voice said in my head and I mentally agreed
Ethan finally withdrew from the hug and cleaned his tears
“Am…..am sorry for that” he said in a low tone
“Come on bro, it’s fine, we’ll get through this together” James said
“Yeah, we are in this together Ethan, you are not alone” I said
“We’re going to help you” Addy added
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
I smile crept to my face as I looked at them
Am really lucky to have such good friends
“Thanks guys” I said
“So how was Josh framed?” James asked and I told him everything Josh told me
“Who is Mason and where is he now?” Jade asked
“I don’t know Jade, I’ve never gone into details with him on how he was framed” I replied
“Then we should probably pay him a visit” Addisson said
“It’s already late now, we’ll go tomorrow” I said
“When will he be taken to court?” James’s asked
“In a week’s time”
“Does he have a lawyer yet?” Jade asked
“I heard the states will provide an attorney for him”
“Nah, State’s attorneys are useless” Addisson said
“I’ll get Josh a good attorney then” Jade said
“You don’t have to Jade, my Mom runs one of the best law firm in the country, I can just ask him for one of his best attorneys” Addisson said
“Don’t worry Addy, I can hire one, it’s not a big deal” Jade said
“I insist Jade, you shouldn’t go through the trouble, it’s more easier if I just tell my Mom” Addisson said
Jade was about to say something when James cut in
“Are you girls seriously gonna do this right now” James said and they kept quiet
Okay, am quite confused now, what’s going on
“So, we’ll be going to the station tomorrow morning” James said
“Aren’t you guys going to school?” I asked
“Nope” Addisson said
“It wouldn’t hurt to miss school for just a day” Jade said and I smiled
“Thanks guys” I said
“Can I come in?” I turned to see Sophie
“Come on in Sophie” James said
“I know I shouldn’t really be saying this in such a situation but am hungry Ethan” she said with a pout and I laughed
“Have you been starving Sophie?” James asked raising his brows
“What! No” I replied
“When was the last time you cooked for her?” James asked
“She can cook for herself” I replied
“Ethan she’s just 14!” Jade said and I looked at her
“This is so bad of you Ethan” Addisson added
Are they seriously ganging up against me right now
“Sophie, what do you think about going out to eat today” Jade asked
“I’d love that” Sophie squealed
“Are you guys coming?” She asked
“Of course” James said
We all went out to a nearby eatery and ate to our fill
We talked and laughed as we ate
It was then I realized how nice it is to have friends, friends who always got your back and is always by your side
We finished eating and we came back home
Jade and Addisson stayed for a few more hours before they left though they promised to be here tomorrow morning
James stayed back with Sophie and I
He said he’ll be sleeping over
We sat in the sitting room with Sophie and we talked and laughed about different stuffs
Am really grateful that James is here right now, he has a way of lightning up people’s mood
Moments later, the door opened and Dad came
We greeted him and then he went off to his room
It’s obvious Josh absence is affecting him too
I just hope we’ll be able to prove Josh’s innocence

We got out of the car and walked into the police station
Jade and Addisson came this morning and we all came here together along with James and Sophie
Addisson said she already told her Mom and she promised to send her best attorney to meet us in the station today
We walked into the station and we met a man dressed in a black suite
“Hi, my name is Attorney Brooks, I was sent here by Mrs Campbell, Addisson’s Mom” the man said
“Okay, thanks Attorney Brooks” I said as I shook his hand
He spoke with the officers and we were taken to the consultation room and Josh was brought into the room with handcuffs
He sat down in front of us and the officers excused us
“We made you Apple pie Josh” Sophie said bringing out the lunch box
“Thanks Sophie” Josh said
“Hi, am Mr Brooks, your legal attorney”
“Am Josh Smith” Josh said “how were you able to afford a personal attorney” he asked looking at me
“Addisson helped” I replied
“Thanks Addy” he said looking at Addy with a smile
“It’s nothing” Addisson replied
“Okay now that we are done with that, let’s come back to case at hand” Mr Brooks said
“Am gonna ask you a few questions and it will be really helpful if you answer me truthfully” he said
🌀 Josh’s POV 🌀
“Okay” I said
“Where were you trying to take a flight to when you were caught by the NDDS officers” he asked
“Chicago”
“What were you going there to do?” He asked
“To deliver some products”
“What kind of products?”
“Just normal stuffs, like phones, wristwatches, necklaces”
“Were you aware your bag contained heroin that day?”
“No, I didn’t check it when Mason gave me”
“Who’s Mason?”
“A friend, he’s more like my boss, he introduced me to business” I replied
“Can you go into more detail the kind of business he introduced you to?”
“He said it’s a delivery business, people order products online and we just help with the delivery and I only accepted the offer cause it’s got a good pay”
“You’ve never checked the products you were asked to deliver?”
“I used to but I stopped when I couldn’t find anything wrong or bad”
“Where’s Mason now?” He asked
“Probably at his clubhouse in Seattle. The clubhouse opens every Friday night and that’s when we go and get the products to be delivered”
“Tonight is Friday night” Sophie said and I nodded
“That we’ll be all for now Josh, thanks” the attorney said as he stood
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
“Can I speak with you guys outside?” Attorney Brooks said and I nodded
“Sophie, why don’t you start eating with Josh, we’ll be back soon” I said
“Okay” she replied
I walked out of the room along with James, Jade and Addisson
“This is a serious case Ethan” the attorney said as we walked up to him
“He was caught red-handed with heroin and if we are ever going to win the case, we need a strong evidence that proves that Josh is innocent” he said
“So what are we gonna do?” Addy asked
“I have a prosecutor friend, am gonna pay him a visit now and see if he can investigate the clubhouse Josh mentioned” he said
The attorney left and we went back to meet Josh
We ate together and soon, the officers came to take him

We are back home and we are all in the sitting room
Sophie is in her room, she fell asleep immediately we came back
“We can’t just sit and do nothing Ethan” James said
“I was thinking the same thing too, we’ve got to do something” Addisson agreed
“Tonight is Friday night, I think we should go to Mason’s clubhouse” Jade said
“I agree with Jade, we should try to get some evidence ourselves” Addisson said
“What do you think?” James asked
“It’s dangerous” I replied
“So what?, You are scared?” James asked
“Of course not, am just worried about you guys”
“I used to be a bully Ethan, it will be stain in my reputation if I get scared of such a small thing” Jade said and I smiled
“Am not scared, we’ve got to do what’s necessary to prove Josh’s innocence” Addisson said
“And am definitely not scared either” James said
We agreed to go to the clubhouse and we left a note for Sophie telling her we might be back home late
We boarded a bus and the bus drove off
We got down in Seattle and took a cab to the clubhouse
“It’s seems really busy and filled with people” Addisson said and I nodded
We walked to the entrance and a huge hefty guard stopped us
“Singles aren’t allowed in,side” he said in a husky voice
“Who said we are singles, this is my date” James said with a smile holding on to Addisson who was standing by her side
I quickly put my hand around Jade “We are a couple” I said
He opened the door and let us in
The place was booming and people were dancing
“We should split up, if anyone sees anything strange, get it on video” James said and we all agreed
He went off with Addisson and Jade stayed with me
We began to look around but we saw nothing out of the ordinary
Minutes later, we saw a man followed by many other hefty guys, they looked serious and they walked into a room at the end of the club
“Let’s go Ethan” Jade said
We walked towards the room and it was bodly written on the door ‘NO ENTRY”
“Let’s go in” Jade said
“It’s dangerous Jade” I said
“We’ve got to do this Ethan, we’ve got no choice”
“But I don’t want to put you in to trouble”
“You aren’t putting me into trouble, we’ll be fine” she said with a smile
“Hey, What are you doing in front of that door” a guard yelled as he walked towards us
My breathing hitched, what are we gonna do now, what will we tell the guard
“Jade what are we gonna tell the guard” I asked as the guard walked closer to us
Then, before I could got hold of what’s happening, before I could say any other word, Jade k-ssed me
