🌀Jade’s POV🌀
I sat down on the car and the driver drove off to school
Am surely going to get back at Ethan for what he did yesterday, because of him Mom humiliated me
The driver stopped in front of the school was about stepping down to open the door for me
“You can sit, someone else will open the door” I said and he sat back. Ethan should open the door any moment from now
After some minutes no one came and I was still in the car
“Lemme just open the door for you ma’am” the driver said and stepped out
He opened the door and I stepped out of the car, I looked around but I couldn’t see Ethan, though I saw my friends waiting for me and Cole was with them too
Where the hell is Ethan, is he disobeying me now?, Just because of what happened yesterday? I’ll definitely teach that shrimp a lesson, how dare he disobey me
I walked up to my friends
“Am so sorry for yesterday Jade” Emma said as she hugged me
“Hope your Mom didn’t get really angry” Daisy asked
“Why did your Mom come to the school yesterday?” Cole asked
“We’ll talk about that later guys, am just really angry right now” I said
“What’s wrong?” Cole asked
“Ethan” I said
“What did that nerd do this time?” Emma asked
“He disobeyed me, remember I asked him to always wait for me by the gate and open the door for me when my car arrives, he didn’t do that today, probably because of what happened yesterday” I said in anger
“We’ll have to teach that boy a lesson” Daisy said
“Totally” Cole agreed
“Am with you guys” Emma said
“But there’s a problem” I said
“What?” Cole asked
“Mom called the principal to keep an eye on me and to report to her whenever I bully someone again” I said
“Don’t worry Jade, the principal won’t find out” Emma said
“Even if he does, we’ll be the one doing the bullying, not you” Daisy said
“Don’t worry Jade, we have your back” Cole said and I smiled
“Thanks guys”
“Let’s go” Cole said and we entered the school
We walked into the school and the students started staring
We were about entering the hallway and I heard a student giggled. I stopped and looked at the student
“Come” I heard Cole say to the student before I could utter any word “Come forward” he repeated and the lady stepped forward
“What’s your name?” He asked
“Chloe” she answered
“Well Chloe, meet me at the gym later on, cause you’ll be the one cleaning it for the next two weeks” Cole said with a smile
“Am really sorry, I didn’t laugh deliberately please” the student begged
“Get lost” Cole said and the student scurried away
“Thanks Cole” I said as we entered the hallway
“Now let’s go find that nerd” Daisy said
We went to the classroom but he wasn’t there
“Why isn’t he in the class” Emma asked and I shrugged
We left the class and walked past an empty classroom but I heard some voices so I walked back to the classroom and I saw Ethan laughing with Addisson, and here I thought he doesn’t talk but here he is laughing happily with Addisson, could Addisson be the reason why he didn’t wait for me at the school gate?
“Ethan!” I called and he turned to look at me
“What the hell are you doing here and why weren’t you at the gate when I came” I yelled
He kept quiet and didn’t say a word, like seriously?, He was laughing with Addisson moments ago and now he’s all quiet again
“Why must he wait for you at the gate?” Addisson ask and I was taken aback, did this girl just talk back at me
“Shut up Addisson, she wasn’t speaking to you” Daisy said
“Okay whatever, but can you guys leave, you are disturbing us right now” Addisson said
“What!” I said shocked, when the hell did Addisson grew such wings
“You’ve got some nerves Addisson” Emma said
“Maybe she wants to be expelled” Cole said
“Maybe if you guys aren’t so dumb you’ll know that the school wouldn’t expell me right before an important competition since am one of the representatives” She said and I raised my hand to slap her but Ethan caught my hand
“Don’t” he said and I was left speechless, what the hell is going on
“How dare you guys” Daisy yelled
“I think it’s best you guys leave or I’ll report to the principal that you guys aren’t letting us concentrate on preparing for the competition” Addisson said
“You…” Cole was saying something and moving forward at the same time but I held his hand
“Let’s go” I said
He looked suprised but he obeyed and we left
“Why didn’t you let Cole deal with them?” Emma asked
“Don’t you get it Emma, she was going to report to the principal and if she does that, my Mom is definitely gonna know” I said and Emma sighed
The bell ranged signifying the beginning of classes and they all went to their class while I went to mine
🌀Addisson’s POV🌀
I had a sigh of relief as the BARBs left, I really hate them and am happy I got to stand up to them today
“Thanks Addisson” Ethan said
Wow, he didn’t say a monosyllabic word this time and he actually mentioned my name
“No problem, and you can just call me Addy” I replied and he smiled
“Thanks for stopping her when she wanted to slap me” I said
“It’s okay though am suprised I actually did that” he said
“Really, why?” I asked
“Well, am just not the type of person that does that” he said with a shrug
Wait a minute, am I having a normal conversation with the quiet boy right now!!??, I couldn’t help but smile
“That’s not a problem, everyone has a different personality” I said and he nodded “So we are friends now right?” I asked
“Friends?” He asked looking surprised
“Yeah, why do you sound suprised?” I asked
“Well, I don’t really have much friends” he replied
“Really!, You don’t have friends at all?, How’s that possible?” I asked suprised
“Am just not the talking type, am always alone and people tends to leave me alone too”
“Okay, I guess I’ll be your first friend then, I hope you are okay with that” I said
“Of course”
“Okay let’s introduce ourselves properly, am Addisson Campbell” I said bringing out my hand for a handshake
He chuckled and replied “Ethan Smith” he said as he shook my hand
“Great, so let’s do our best for the upcoming competition okay?”
“Okay” he replied
“So where are you in the twelfth grade mathematics textbook, though am in page 107” I said with pride as I sat down on a chair and he sat down too, on the chair opposite me
“Am done” he said
“Done with what?” I asked absentmindedly as I brought out my textbook
“The textbook” he said
“What!!?” This boy is definitely kidding me, how can he be done with 12 grade math when we are just in the first semester
“Yeah, i finished it while I was in tenth grade” he said
“What!!!” I exclaimed again, that’s not possible
“That’s how I was able to finish Mrs Logan’s test, I’ve come across most of the questions before and I remembered their answers without solving them” he said
“What!!” I exclaimed yet again, still not knowing what to say
“Why do you keep saying ‘what’ with everything I say” he asked
“Am sorry am just suprised” I said
“Okay, though I’ve finished the textbook I could still use some practice” he said as he brought out his textbook too and we started practicing
🌀Jade’s POV🌀
We had 3 classes and soon the bell ranged for a break. I looked at Ethan’s seat and shook my head, that boy is definitely in for trouble, how dare he stop me from slapping Addisson, let’s just wait till my Dad comes back, I’ll definitely get him expelled
The girls came and we went to have lunch. We talked mainly of Ethan and Addisson and how we are gonna get back at them
The bell ranged again we went back to our classes and we had 3 more boring classes
While the class was going on, I glanced at Ethan’s seat, I wonder what they are doing now or aren’t they done with there practice?
The bell ranged for end of school and I took my backpack and walked out of the class
I went towards the class where Ethan and Addisson are and I overheard Addisson saying something
🌀Addisson’s POV🌀
We continued practicing for hours and when it was time for break, I went and got us some lunch and we continued
Ethan was solving a calculation and I couldn’t help but admire him, he’s got brains, he’s a genius and he’s cute too
“Why aren’t you solving the calculation?” Ethan asked when he noticed I stopped writing
“Just admiring you” I said
“Admiring me?” He asked suprised
“Yes, you are so smart and intelligent, you are like young Albert Einstein” I said and he laughed
This is the second time am seeing him laugh today and wow! He’s got a dimple!
“I think we should go home now, the school has already closed” he said
“Ohh, that’s right” I said
He stood up and started putting his books in,side his backpack
“Since next tomorrow is the competition, maybe I should come over to your place so that we can practice more” I said
“What!!” He said suprised and I smiled
“Maybe you don’t usually get visitors since you don’t have friends but it’s a normal thing for friends to visit each other and since we are friends, I see no problem with that. Perhaps am coming so that we can practice more for the competition”
“Okay” he said
“So I can come?” I asked
“Yeah, give me your contact, I’ll text you the address” he replied
We exchanged contact and he took his backpack and left
I stepped out of the class and Jade stood right in front of me looking really angry
“What is It?” I asked
“What’s up with this little attitude you are suddenly putting up or is it because you are one of the school’s representative for the NMC?” She asked
“Maybe you didn’t notice before but I’ve never liked you Jade and I never stood up to you before cause our parts never crossed but now that it has, don’t expect me to back down” I replied
“You will back down because you are nothing and you hold no authority in this school, you see am way above you so do not get on my nerves and stay the hell out of my way” she said
“I believe you are the one standing in my way right now” I said with a smile
She huffed and moved closer to me
“You’ll be expelled from this school in the next 3 months Addisson, I promise you that” she said and walked away
