FORBIDDEN LOVE – Episode 14

VERONICA
***I was trying to process what the woman told me then reality began to sink in slowly but the secretary was saying things to annoy means I felt my anger brewing so I pushed her and she fell hærd breaking property in the room and I rushed out with no care in the world. I got to my car and quickly drove to the police station with a blank mind and fear of causing an accident, I got to the police station like I was being chased and the officers I found their looked at me like I had lost my mind, I reported the case one of them and he looked at me for quite some time but I was too disturbed to notice something unusual about his look
” you can go back home we’ll take care of this”
***he assured me***
” please bring back my daughter she’s all I’ve got and I can’t live without her I know she’s not in safe hands because that man is capable of anything despite being her father”
***I pleaded***
“Don’t worry just home madam, we’ll get back to you”
I had a little feeling of hope after what I was told so I drove home praying that they would find her not hurt, I was lost in thoughts when I received a call from Francis and I hesitated in picking up but I had to because he had my daughter
“He…hello”
” I really wonder why you are disobedient, you went to call the police on me but you really have no idea who you’re dealing with because the consequence of your action won’t be so good”
“I’m sorry”
***I thought I could trust the authorities but I was completely wrong***
” pray you get here in time to save your mother”
*** he said in a cold tone***
I heard mom from the background pleading with him to let her go but it was like it all fell on deaf ears because I could hear her scre-ming and what felt like she was being beaten then the line dropped dead, I scre-med and dropped the phone then I drove like a maniac I ignoring all traffic lights I couldn’t even notice cars that I was getting ahead of. I finally got home and rushed out of the car running towards the house while shouting for mom who gave no response, I searched the entire house but couldn’t find her and I was about to give up until I checked the bathroom where I found her in a pool of blood and her throat was slit, besides her was the note written by Francis where here wrote about the importance of keeping an end of a deal. I became numb not knowing what to do as tears really fell off my eyes, I knew it was worthless trying to seek help so I was going to face him knowing fully well that the outcome wouldn’t be so good. I looked at my mothers lifeless body lying there and I had a heavy heart because I caused it, I took my phone to check the address I was sent and drove there expecting anything to happen.
I got to what looked like an abandoned warehouse with a tall buildings that also looked abandoned and it was dark by the time I got there, I stayed in the car just crying until my phone rang startling me
“You’re welcome sweetheart”
***he said teasingly after I picked up***

***Justin was working when he suddenly had an uneasy feeling, he had began to know what that meant so he picked up his phone and dialed the Veronicas number which rang unanswered for quite some time and he began getting worked up, he tried her mother’s too and it was the same so he went to one of the IT rooms where he punched in a code and a face detection was done on him then the CCTV footage began playing of events of the day and he paid close attention to when Francis entered the house wearing a balaclava and he zoomed it in, he watched the entire footage as Francis exposed most of his secrets including his hideout then he instantly turned the device off and called his boys back in the country commanding them left, right and centre. He went out and found Thomas with others competing on bottles
“Thomas, we’re leaving now hope the jet has been refuelled”
“So soon? What happened?”
***he nagged***
“Psych happened”
Thomas was instantly on his feet and were ready for the journey, Justin tried calling her again but this time it indicated that it was busy since she was talking to someone else and he never gave up until she finally answered with fear filled in her voice which broke Justin
“Hello?”
“My love, stay put I’m on my way please don’t freak out”
“Justin!”
***a loud sob escaped her mouth***
“He’s going to take Jane and I to…..”
“Believe me that won’t happen, nothing will happen to the both of you”
“Promise me Justin”
***Justin was about to respond when a voice spoke from behind Veronica***
“I’ll have this”
He said and grabbed the phone from her throwing it away, Justin clenched his jaws and couldn’t wait to get his hands on Francis while Thomas kept asking him to keep calm

The man led Veronica to the rooftop where she found Francis talking to Jane
“Mommy”
***she shouted and ran to her hugging her tightly***
“This is the life I’ve always been dreaming about, being with my family and now I’ll finally have you both, we’ll leave the country tomorrow and begin a new life where no one gets in between us. I still love you Veronica”
She looked at him with so much hate and hurt as she imagined what her mother went through in his hands and his l-ips curved into a huge smile and his eyes filled with list then he picked her up bridal style taking her to one of the rooms as she fought him…….
