Bella’s POV
“You….. you are a werewolf” I said as I slowly moved back
“You couldn’t have dislocated my joint so easily with just a human strength so obviously you are one too” he said
“Why are you disguising yourself as a human, as a doctor?” I asked
“Listen to yourself, we all disguise ourselves as humans including you and I didn’t disguise myself as a doctor, I am a doctor”
“What werewolf clan are you from?” I asked
“I don’t think that’s any of your business, now if you’ll excuse me I have somewhere to be” he said as he made to open his car door
“When you showed your werewolf power, your eyes were blue”
“And what’s wrong with that? Never seen a blue-eyed werewolf before?” he said
“As a matter of fact I’ve seen all kinds of werewolves, an Alpha’s eyes glows red when he turns, a beta’s eyes glows yellow and do you know what it means when a werewolf eyes glows blue? It means that werewolf is a murderous psychopath who has killed lots of innocent people”
“Enough!! ” he yelled as he superspeed towards me and grabbed my throat
“I was feeling good so I was going to let you of the hook for breaking my arm but if you keep rambling on you’ll leave me no choice but to return the favor of what you just did to me and trust me when I return favors, I do it tenfold” he said and slowly let go of my neck
“Do not show your awful red-haired self in from of me again” He said and entered his car
I watched silently as he drove off like I was in some kind of trance
There’s something about him, something about him that I can’t pinpoint
The aura he exude, it’s different than mosts
And I can’t help but want to find out more about him
Luna’s POV
“Welcome Sir, I didn’t expect your arrival today” Alice, Jayden’s secretary said as we walked into the company
“I suppose I need your permission before I can come into my own company Alice” Jayden said as we walked into the elevator
“No Sir, that’s not what I meant” Alice quickly said
“A board meeting is supposed to hold today and it will hold, I want everyone in the meeting room by 10 minutes, no should keep me waiting” he said as he made to enter his office but then stopped
“Luna will be my personal assistant onwards, fill her in on all she needs to do for if she makes any mistake, you will be the one to suffer the consequences” he walked into his office and jammed the door behind him
“We’ve met before” Alice said turning to me
“Yeah, as a new employee for the fashion designing department though that didn’t last very long” I said
“And now you are here as Mr Jayden’s wife and also his personal assistant, how quickly the situations have changed” she said and I shrugged
” It’s surprising, even for me”
“Do you know what it means to be a personal assistant? ” she asked
“I just have to assist him at the office, I don’t think it should be that hard”
“Not just at the office, all the time, that’s what the personal means. A personal assistant’s duties can include everything from helping with time and daily management, scheduling of meetings, correspondence, note-taking, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, sending emails on behalf of your manager as well as organising events”
“Wow” I mouthed
“Let’s start with calling all the departments in the company that we have a board meeting in 10 minutes, you call them while I go arrange the meeting room” she said as she took some files and made to leave
“Ummm…… How do I call all the departments in the company? What do I press on the table phone? ” I asked and she sighed
“Here” she handed me the files ” Just go to the meeting room and put one file on each table, I’ll call the departments”
I went to the meeting room and looked around
“Not bad, this place looks great”
I started arranging each file on the table
Then I tripped on a chair and everything fell off my hand and scattered on the floor
“What is this?” Someone said and I looked up to see Jayden, Alice and the board members
“Am….. am sorry, I just tripped and….”
“What is she doing here Alice?! ” Jayden said
“You asked me to fill her in on…. ”
“I asked you to fill her in on what she needs to do, I didn’t ask you to give her an important job on her first day!!” Jayden yelled
“Am sorry Sir, I…..”
“Get your things out of the office, you are suspended for two weeks”

“What?! ” Alice exclaimed
“I told you if she messes up you’ll be the one to take the fall” Jayden said
“But I messed up, punish me instead, why are you suspending her?!” I said
“Say another word and you’ll be adding to her punishment”
“But I…..”
“She’s suspended for 3 weeks” Jayden said “Want to say something else?”
“What!! This is not right!!” I exclaimed
“Now it’s one month, anything else?” Jayden said again
“I…..”
“Stop Luna, you aren’t helping” Alice said and walked out
“Shall we begin our meeting?” Jayden said as he sat down with the board members,
I stared at him as he sat down
What kind of man is he?!
How can he be so cruel
I ran out of the meeting room and went after Alice
“Alice am so sorry, I didn’t mean for this to happen am so sorry” I apologized
“Just stop! I’ve being on this job for years now and I’ve never faced any problem with Mr Jayden until you came along!” She yelled “I have no idea why you guys are married if you have no compassion for each other but I don’t actually care, I’ll take this as a one month vacation and leave quietly but in a month’s time when am back, you should have either settle your differences with Mr Jayden or go your separate ways because when I come back I won’t be taking the fall for your mistakes anymore” She said and walked out angrily
I walked back to the meeting room and they were almost done
“It is decided then, I want the fashion designing department to come up with the best line of female Clothings for our client, I want something unique, something that has never been seen before, this is an important project and you all should better not disappoint me. Let’s call it a day here” He said as he stood and walked past me
“Jayden” I called as I followed him to his office
“Is there any problem Luna?” He asked as he sat behind his large office table
“Is there any problem?” I scoffed “You just suspended your secretary because of me and you are asking if there’s any problem?”
“If that’s all you are here to say you may leave, I have work to do” he said as he focused on some files in his table
“You know what? I quit, am not your personal assistant anymore”
“You can’t quit, you have no right to quit” he said
“Well watch me quit Jayden, we’ve only been married for a day but I’ve had enough of you infact am not your wife anymore, this is torture and I sure am not going to live the rest of my life with a murderous psychopath like you who derives joy in hurting people!!!” I yelled
“Goodbye Jayden, I was going to say have a happy life but am sure your diabolical mind has no idea what happiness is so I’ll say this instead, I hope you get your heart ripped out just like you’ve been ripping other people’s heart out!!” I yelled and turned to leave
Before I could take another step, Jayden superspeed and stood right in front of me
“Nice speech” he said “It would have made a tiny little impact on me if it wasn’t coming from a weak and feeble human whose life I can take in less than a second if I want to”
“You won’t kill me, am bonded to you, am like the other half that completes you so if I die you become weak and like the powermonger that you are, am sure you won’t let that happen” I said and he looked at me surprised
“You wondering how I know this? The twins told me, one of the perks of having fun werewolf sisters-inlaw is that they fill you in on the dirty little secrets of your werewolf husband” I said and he looked at me, angry
“Oh my, are you angry?” I asked feigning a surprised face “Well guess what? That makes the two of us cause damn right am angry too!!”
“What more did my sisters tell you?” he asked obviously trying to keep calm
“Why? Are you afraid they told me something I shouldn’t know? Well no need to worry, there’s nothing that they can tell me that will make me hate you more than I already do right now” I said and he grabbed my throat and pushed me against the wall
“You’ve being rambling on and on and I can’t take it anymore, I was going to be the perfect gentleman and let you live your life as a human but not anymore, I do not need you” he said as his fangs grew out
” You…. you can’t kill me” I stuttered
“Who said anything about killing you, am only going to bite you, turn you into a werewolf and compel you to forget your human life and live by my side as my obedient mate doing everything I tell you to”
“What, No no, you can’t do that”
” Watch me” He said as he brought his mouth close to my neck
” Stop!!” I yelled “Please stop please, I’ll do whatever you want me to just don’t make me into a monster like you please” I cried
“Fine, I’ll give you one more chance” He said as he retracted his fangs and let go of me
“But need I remind you that from now on, every breath you take as a human is thanks to me, you remain a human because I decided to be merciful today, never forget that, now leave, your presence irritates me!” He said and I managed to stand up and walk out
I went straight to the washroom and stared at myself in the mirror, my neck is all sore from his grip
“When did I become so pathetic” I cried
I hate him, I hate him so much
Jayden’s POV
Work was done for the day
I got into the car with Luna and Landon drove us back home
“How was work today Luna?” Landon asked but there was no response from Luna
She looked fazed out
Was I too harsh?
Doesn’t matter, she needed to know am not a man but a monster, a monster she needs to fear if she wants to be safe
Landon drove into the woods and stopped by a crowd gathered in front of the Mansion
“What’s going on here?” I asked as I stepped down from the car
Andre ran to meet me
“Welcome back Alpha, we…… we found some dead bodies in the woods”
“Yeah, someone killed 3 of our people” John said as they made way for me to see the dead bodies
“Who would brutally slash someone’s through like this?!” Landon asked as he saw the corpses
“I guess Audrey has started her revenge plan all too soon, I will make her regret touching my people” I made to leave but Andre held me back
“Unless Audrey is the Demon Wolf, I don’t think she’s responsible for this” he said
“What? The Demon Wolf is dead, I killed him when I killed the Alpha of the River Moon Pack”
“Thought so too but look at the slash on the necks, this was obviously done with a sword and see the ridges by the side of the cut, I had those ridges too when the Demon Wolf cut me and smell this” he sniffed the blood from the corpses
“Wolfsbane” I said
“My wounds were infected with wolfsbane too, the sword that was used to do this is the same as the one used on me so I think you killed the wrong person Jayden, the Demon Wolf is alive and its still out there”……
