Jayden’s POV
“She’s not my Mate yet so she’s not part of the family” I said
“But she will be soon” Bella said
“By tomorrow night, she will be your Mate brother, you have to start accepting that she’s part of the family now” Brie said
I stared at them as they chatted with Luna
I was getting very uncomfortable so I climbed up the stairs to my room
“Where are you going Jay?!” Brie asked as I climbed up the stairs
I got to my room and sat on the couch staring into the empty space
This is really happening
Moments later, the door opened and Landon stepped in
“Are you okay Jayden?” he asked as he sat beside me
“It’s okay to get cold feets when one’s wedding draws closer”
“I don’t get cold feets!” I said
“Then what is the problem? I thought you’ll be happy now that Brie and Bels are back cause I know how much you love your two sisters”
“Am like this because I care for them!” I yelled “Why did you bring them back Landon?”
“I….. I thought you’ll be happy”
“That was a foolish thing to think!! Why do you think I let them out in the first place? Its to protect them Landon! We are in the middle of a silent war and my betas have been eliminated, whoever wants to get back at me can use them now because I care for them, and now my love and your carelessness have made them liabilities and may likely put them in danger!”
“Loving someone doesn’t make them a liability Jayden, it doesn’t put them in danger….”
“It does!! And until I know exactly who my enemy is, everyone around me is in danger. Go, go tell them that I don’t want them stepping out of the Mansion without my permission, I can only protect them if they are within my sight” I said and Landon sighed
“Okay Alpha” he said and walked out
Minutes later, he came running back into my room
“They are not in the Mansion Jayden, they offered to take Luna back home!”
“What!! I thought I instructed you to drop them her back home, why did they go instead?!”
“Am sorry Jayden, I had no idea they were going to offer to take her back home”
“Well what are you waiting for? Go find them and bring them back!!!” I yelled and he bowed and ran off
I paced around the room for some minutes, then I took my jacket and walked out
“You seem to be in haste Alpha, are you going somewhere?” Andre asked
“I need to have a few words with the priestess” I replied
“If it concerns the shadowed killer that murdered your betas then take me with you”
“Andre…..”
“They were my friends too, the killer murdered them and tried to kill me too, I need to hunt him down too, whoever he is” Andre said and I sighed
“Let’s go”
Luna’s POV
“What address should I input on the car map?” Bella asked as she drove
“The City hospital” I said
“Hospital? Why do you need to go to the hospital, I thought you were going home” Brie said from the back seat
“My Mom is there” I replied
“Thats good, it will be nice to meet your Mom, is she a doctor there?” Bella asked
“She….she’s a patient, she’s been in a vegetative coma for 6 months now” I said as I tried not to get emotional
“Oh my goddess!” They gasped
“Am so sorry, we had no idea” Brie apologised and an idea occurred to me
Maybe I won’t have to marry the ruthless Alpha after all
“You both are werewolves too right?” I asked and they nodded
“Then can you help me wake my Mom up? Jayden said something about drawing her pain into himself and making her conscious” I said
“Am sorry Luna we can’t do that” Brie said
“But…. but why? Are you scared of going against Jayden?”
“We aren’t scared of Jayden, he’s our brother. Thing is, to draw someone’s pain into your self especially someone that has being unconscious for 6 months, it will take a lot of power, one that we don’t have” Bella said
“Jayden is the Alpha and the strongest one among us, that is why he is able to do it and we can’t” Brie said and I sighed
Cruel way of snatching away my hope
We got to the hospital and got down from the car
“We’ll say hi to your Mom before leaving” Bella said
We walked into the hospital together and Bella sighed
“I hate hospitals, it creeps me out” She said
“No one loves coming to the hospital Bels” Brie said
“Unless you are doctor and you make money here” I said and they laughed
We went to Mom’s hospital room and she was still, pale as always
“You look just like your Mom” Bella said
“Yeah, she’s beautiful” Brie said and I muttered a thanks
“Hello” someone said and we turned to see the handsome but rude doctor
Doctor Kilan
“You are her guardian right? Miss Luna Wilsford?” he asked as he glanced at the file he was holding and I nodded
“Thank God you are here, I already spoke with your friend but she’s obviously having some brain problem since she refused to reason with me but anyway, Am doctor Kilan and I was recently assigned as the doctor in charge of taking care of your mother” he said “According to the records, your Mother was involved in a fatal accident and has been in a vegetative coma right?” he asked and I nodded
“That’s right”
“As her assigned doctor am obliged to tell you the facts, your mother will not wake up, her nerves have been destroyed and deformed, there’s no way she’s ever waking up” Doctor Kilan said
“What?”
“So I think the best things to do is to donate her organs to the hospital while they are still useful, those organs can be used to help other patients who needs it so I think it’s better to make use of her now that she’s still breathing than hesitating and when she dies, her organs becomes useless” he said and I stared at him speechless
“I know you’re surprised but am just telling you the…..”
“Enough!!!” Bella yelled and walked towards him
“You shall not say a word more”
“Who are you?” Doctor Kilan asked looking at Bella
“A person more better and humane than you are, how could you say all that to Luna like you’ve got no shred of kindness or pity in you” Bella said
“Like I said before, am a doctor and am….”
“No you aren’t a doctor! You are an unfeeling human being” Brie said
“Exactly, you give up so easily on a patient yet you call yourself a doctor? I know it’s been long since I last came to a hospital but I thought doctors were supposed to heal and not condemn patients or has things changed without me knowing?” Bella said
“I …..”
“I said not another word!!” Bella yelled and I got chills
Seems the anger and paralysing yells runs in the family
“You will apologise to Luna for the nonsense you just uttered” she said
“I said what I had to and if Luna is not an emotional fool like you both, she’ll agree with me, good day” he said and turned to leave
“What did you say?! Come back here!!” Bella made to go after him but Brie held her back
“Calm down Bella” Brie said as she held her tightly

“Let me go Brie! I need to deal with that fool! No one speaks to me that way and lives!!” Bella yelled as she struggled to break free from Brie’s grip
“Come back to your senses Isabella we are in a hospital! If you cause a scene here or do anything bad, Jay will be the one to suffer for it by trying to clean up the mess” Brie said and Bella calmed down
“You saved him Brie, you saved that asshole but if I ever cross path with him again, I swear by the goddess, am so going break his bones” Bella said
“Sorry about all he said Luna” Brie said
“Yeah, don’t take it to heart, your Mom will survive” Bella said
I stared at them for a while and then hugged them
“Okay, this is unexpected” Bella said and I sobbed
“Are you okay Luna?” Brie asked and I nodded
“Am….am just not used to people standing up for me like that, only Daisy, my friend ever supports me, am used to fighting my own fight but today…. today you guys fought my fight for me” I said and they smiled
“You won’t be fighting your fights alone anymore Luna, we’ll always be here to support you” Brie said
“Yeah, that’s what families are for” Bella said
“I guess the good thing about marrying a werewolf Alpha is having Werewolf sisters in-law that can always fight for you” I said with a smile
Brie’s phone suddenly rang and she picked it up
“Was that Landon?” Bella asked after she ended the call and she nodded
“Jay is apparently angry at Landon cause he let us out without he’s permission, so scared Landon is out looking for us to take us back to the Mansion”
“Oh come on, we aren’t kids, we can go wherever we want and why is Landon so scared of Jay” Bella said
“Everyone is scared of your brother Bella, you don’t know how scary your brother is cause he’s a bit free with you guys. I actually admire Landon, he’s able to put up with Jayden’s hot temper, I wonder how he does it, I mean even if Jayden is his cousin brother, it doesn’t mean he has to endure all Jayden’s harshness” I said and Brie smiled
“Landon is more like Jayden’s real brother, Jayden once saved Landon from death years ago so I guess Landon thinks he owes him a lifetime of service” Brie said
“Really? What happened to Landon? How did Jayden save him from death?” I asked curious
“It’s long story and we’ll tell it another day, for now we have to leave before Jay actually tears Landon apart because of us” Bella said with a smile and I nodded
“Sure, you guys should go save Landon from your deadly and overprotective brother” I said and they laughed
“Bye Luna”
“See you tomorrow”
I smiled as I watched them leave
As long as the twins are around, maybe I might find a little happiness in this forced marriage
Jayden’s POV
Andre and I shapeshifted and raced to the goddess’s shrine
“Uhhh! I can never win you in a race no matter how hard I tried” Andre said as we shapeshifted back to humans
“Am the Alpha for a reason” I smirked
“What do I owe this visit Alpha?” The priestess said as she walked up to us
Andre bowed in respect but I remained still
“Alpha Jayden” she called
“Priestess of the Moon goddess” I said
“What brings you here?” She asked
“Thought your goddess is all knowing and powerful, you should ask her” I said and she chuckled
“When will you let go of your hatred for the goddess Alpha”
“That is never going to happen” I replied
“What happened 7 years ago was destiny Alpha, destiny” she said
“I do not believe in destiny, what I know is that the goddess went back on her word and betrayed me, she destroyed the remnants of my life that I was trying to put back together, she is a manipulative being and is not to be trusted!”
“She’s not to be trusted and yet here you are, trying to seek for her help” she said and I scoffed
“I seek no one’s help, we made a deal, your goddess wants me to take a human mate and I want her to tell me who killed my betas and help me find him”
“And how sure am I that you’ll keep your end of the bargain if I help you?” she asked
“If you help me, I’ll get married to Luna tommorow night, I promise and you know an Alpha is always bound to his promise”
“Fine then” She said “The goddess did show me a few things about the killer”
“Well don’t beat around the bush and spill it!!”
“Please tell us priestess, help us” Andre said and she closed her eyes
“A dominating shadow with a dark heart filled with anger, an arched sword he carries, a powerful force he commands, the Demon Wolf he is called” She said and then opened her eyes
“The Demon Wolf?” Andre asked
“He will be present at your mating ceremony, your job is to figure out who he is” She said and I sighed
“As always, you never really help anyone, I asked you to help me find him not give me clues that’ll probably lead me nowhere!”
“Do not get angry with me Alpha for the the Demon Wolf was your undoing, he is your destiny and he is your doom” she said coldly……
