Kilan’s POV

I caught up with Daisy and we walked towards the operation room together

“You seem to be very close with Bella” She said

“Close or not, am sure it’s none of your business so do not overstep your boundaries because of what you just witnessed” I said

“You mean what I just witnessed as in you acting all intimate with Bella? Sure I won’t overstep my boundaries” She chuckled and quickly walked off before I could say anything more

Why the hell is everyone looking down on me today?!

Luna’s POV
I slowly walked towards Jayden after I made sure Audrey and her men had walked out

“Are you okay?” I asked and he looked at me

“Find your way home, I have somewhere to go” he said and walked out

“What about my Mom?!” I yelled but he was already far gone

I sighed and walked to my Mom’s hospital room looking dejected

I sat beside her bed and placed my head on her hand
Then I let out the tears

“I miss you Mom, I miss you so much” I cried

I sat up and cleaned my tears

“Guess what Mom, your girl is married now, I got married recently, though it’s not exactly the happy marriage you envisioned for me, I got married to a Werewolf Alpha and he is a very ruthless one but at least am guaranteed a lifetime of protection with him even if he’s only doing it for himself” I feigned a laugh

“Right from my childhood, you always told me that am special, you always told me I have an extraordinary destiny, turns out you were right, my special destiny is to marry an Alpha CEO and endure a lifetime of torture living with a man I can never love” the tears flowed down my face again

I stared at Mom for a while then I noticed a tear slowly flowing down from her closed eyes

“Mom…..”

“Here you are” Bella said as she walked in “Where’s Jay?”

“Look Bella, she’s crying” I said as I pointed at the tears flowing down Mom’s face

“Oh my goddess, is this supposed to be possible?” She asked

“Am not sure”

“What did you say that made a woman in a vegetative state cry?”

“No…. nothing, I didn’t say much. You wait here, I’ll go call the doctor” I said and walked out

I bumped into Daisy and Doctor Kilan on my way

“Luna!” Daisy exclaimed and we hugged

“We’ll talk later Daisy” I said and turned to doctor Kilan

“Doctor, my Mom, she’s crying” I said and he looked at me confused

“Crying?”

“Yeah, I was just saying some random stuffs, then I noticed the tears flowing down her face” I explained

“Let’s see” Doctor Kilan went to my Mom’s hospital room and we followed him from behind

He paused a bit on seeing Bella in the room and then continued

He examined Mom for some minutes and we all watched silently

“How is she? Is she slowly regaining consciousness?” I asked

“On the contrary, she’s slowly dying” he said

“What? But she….. she must have heard what I said and that’s why she cried, that means she’s becoming more conscious right?” I asked

“It’s called terminal lucidity, it happens sometimes with patients in critical condition, then one day, they suddenly bounce back and start showing signs of recovery and soon after, they die” Doctor Kilan explained

“No, no you are mistaken, my Mom is not dying!” I yelled and Daisy held me

“The bounce back can last for just minutes, days and even a month or two. I can’t say exactly how long your Mom has but from my diagnosis, she won’t last the month” he said and I slumped on the chair

“Luna!” Bella called concerned

“I actually told you before that your Mom won’t survive the vegetative state and now that it has been proven, you should give what I said a thought, now that she’s still breathing, donate her organs to the hospital, that way, her death will be of some use” Doctor Kilan said and I looked at him

“You want me to give you my consent to kill my mother and take her organs?!”

“Yes, you….. ”

“Will you shut up!” Bella said

“Bella…..”

“You come with me” She grabbed Doctor Kilan’s hand and they went out

“Luna, are you okay?” Daisy asked calmly and I hugged her

“Am not okay Daisy, am anything but okay” I cried

Bella’s POV
“What the hell is wrong with you?!” I yelled

“Nothing” he replied calmly

“Have you no shred of compassion left in that heart of yours?!”

“Well, being compassionate has never really helped anyone has it? And why are you going all haywire on me when all I did was say the truth” he asked

“You did say the truth alright but you said it with no emotions, like you were happy Luna’s Mom was dying”

“I assure you I was not happy but I wasn’t sad either, you talk about emotions but know this Bella, I have no emotions so never expect me to show one” he said

I stared at him for a while and then shook my head
“I wonder how someone as unfeeling as you became a doctor”

“Well be rest assured it was not an easy journey, a weakling like you will never understand what I’ve had to endure” he said

“Oh come on Kilan, what could have happened to you that sucked out all the emotions out of you?”

“You have no idea Bella, and you will never do” He said and walked away

Brie’s POV
I washed the dishes along with the workers in the house and bumped into Andre on my way out of the kitchen

“You are dressed, are you going somewhere?” I asked

“It’s been long I stepped beyond the woods so I just want to go around a bit” he said and I nodded

“You know maybe you should come with me, you’ve rarely gone out since your arrival here, Bella has being the only one doing the going outs” he said

“No thanks Andre, Bella and I might be twins but we are different, she’s more of the outside girl and am more of the inside girl, I like it indoors”

“Okay then, later” he said and walked out

I sat on the couch for a while and John passed by

“John” I called and he stopped “Where’s Landon?”

“He’s working out in the woods” he replied

“Working out? I could use some work out too” I said

I went to my room, removed my gown and wore my jean and top
I walked out of the Mansion in search of Landon

“Landon!” I called as I walked further into the woods

Then I saw Landon, he was raining punches on a tree
He looked somewhat sad and angry

“Landon” I called and he faced me
“Are you okay?”

“Of course, what are you doing here?” he asked

“Heard you were working out and I wanted to join you”

“Well you are welcomed to join me in punching the trees” he said

“Are you sure you are okay?” I asked again

“Of course, why do you think am not okay?” he asked and I stared at him for a moment

“Today’s that day isn’t it?”

“What day?” He asked feigning ignorance

“The day your parents died”

“They might have given me birth but they aren’t my parents!” he said

“They will always be your parents Landon”

“They were traitors Brianna!” He yelled “They ceased to be my parent the moment they betrayed me and the entire Crescent moon Pack, if anything am happy they are gone” he said and went back to punching the trees

I walked towards him and placed my hand on his shoulder

“You’ve always been the strong one Landon, you work around, make sure everything is going well with the pack, put up with Jayden’s grumpiness, you are always there for everyone Landon but sometimes, you can put down the strong act for a bit and cry, it’s not a crime to be weak, your parents were traitors yes but that doesn’t change the fact that they gave you birth and raised you, it is okay to miss them Landon, it’s okay to cry on their death anniversary” I said as I hugged him

I heard him sob and I slowly patted his back

Jayden’s POV
“What brings you here Alpha?” The priestess asked

“Is the Demon Wolf still alive?” I asked

“Well how am I supposed to know that” she said

“Don’t play games with me and ask your damn goddess, is the Demon Wolf still alive?”

“She’s your goddess too you know” she said

“No she’s not, I denounced her years ago”

“If you denounced her, why are you seeking her help right now?” the priestess asked

“Because as always, she continues interfering in my life and I have no choice but to come back to her, thats what she always does, manipulates people just to bring them back to her!” I said and the priestess shook her head

“The goddess never manipulated you, she never decieved you, everything she’s done up till now is to help you and one day you will realize that, my only fear is that it might be too late by then”

“Everything she’s done is to help me?” I scoffed “How does forcefully bonding me with a weak human help me?!!”

“Luna is a very special lady, she’s anything but weak” she said

“Oh and how special can a human be?”

“Patience Alpha, in time you shall find out” She said and made to leave but then stopped and turned back “A war is coming Alpha, one that seems perilous even for someone as powerful as you”…….
