Xeris
I watched anxiously as Lyra dressed up, I was really worried. She packed my hair into a bun, stuffing it with poisonous pins and small ch¡ps. He would never suspect she wasn’t naive and stupid. She looked at me over her shoulder and giggled.
‘Don’t worry, I’ll be fine, I promise.’
‘You look so beautiful,’ I blunted out.
‘Is this the time to flatter me? Nigga, you already had your rounds almost throughout the night, eyes off.’
‘I complimented you doesn’t mean I want something….’
‘So,’ she spun on her heels to face me. ‘You don’t want anything?’ She smirked.
‘If you offer it, I’ll gladly accept.’ I grinned, she rolled her eyes and turned around to face the mirror again.
‘Where did you fling my medallion to?’
‘Was I suppose to keep track?’
‘Xeris, I need my medallion so you can track me down just in case.’
‘Tan is still working on the upgrade, so we can hear every conversation that will take place.’
‘Dude, the same medallion you flung out of my neck last night! Xeris where’s my m….just get your unclad ass off that bed and find it or else you really want me dead.’
‘I’m tired,’ I slouched on the bed and folded my arms behind my head. ‘I worked a lot last night.’ She looked over her shoulder and glared dagger at me, I winked at her.
‘Jerk, can you please stop sitting there and help me?’ She asked brushing her sleeve which I guess had some weapons. She turned, crawled on the bed to pick the bracket I gifted her. I grabbed her and forced her under me. ‘Xeris! Don’t even think about it….’
‘You’re just so beautiful, I can’t take my eyes off you….’ I ran my hand down her h¡p, she whimpered. ‘Xeris, I’ll be late.’
‘You can’t be late for your own abduction, get off me.’ I forced her legs open and knelt between it.
‘Don’t worry, I’ll be fast.’
‘Damn you,’ she suddenly flipped us over and pinned me under. ‘Leave me alone.’
‘Wow! You’re strong, I like my women strong.’ She got off me but I was able to smack her ass.
‘Xeris! You’re so annoying!’ I chuckled and fell on the bed, she laughed. ‘My annoying boyfriend.’
‘Promise you won’t get hurt?’
‘No promises,’ she bent down on the bed and k-ssed my cheek. ‘I love you.’
‘I love you more, please don’t get hurt or I’ll lose it.’ She giggled, pressing her weight into the bed.
‘No promises but I certainly won’t die,’ she whispered. ‘Where’s my medallion?’
‘Under the bed or at the door, please don’t die.’
‘You promise you’ll be right behind me? I’m not as strong as I pretend to be.’
‘I know,’ I pulled her face back and k-ssed her, s-cking the sweet l¡pstick off. She bit my lower lip and broke the k-ss. ‘I love you.’
‘Ya just said that, don’t delay me.’
‘Do you know I always get what I want?’ I asked smirkingly.
# Lyra
I adjusted my tights over and over again, I couldn’t feel my legs. I got into Betty’s car and waved him bye.
‘Why were you walking like that?’ She asked chucklingly.
‘What do you expect from a girl with an oversized boyfriend,’ I sighed. ‘Darn it, I can’t feel my legs.’
‘You talk,’ she chuckled. ‘Let’s go.’ She drove off.
‘So how’s you and Xeron?’
‘What do you expect?’
‘Yeah, is he cheating?’
‘All men cheat.’
‘Not all, most but not all.’
‘You’re just saying that because Xeris haven’t cheated yet,’ she scoffed. ‘I don’t mind though. If Xeron cheats on me, I’ll cheat on him hærd.’
‘That’s very foolish.’
‘My life,’ she shrugged. ‘What what am I doing again?’
‘Dropping me off in front of school, then drive off at a safe distance and watch, just in case.’
‘Or I can pretend to be your friend who also got kidnapped.’
‘They or he might kill you,’
‘Not precisely,’ she smirked. ‘I’m pretty.’ I rolled my eyes and chuckled. She stopped in front of the empty school gate and we stepped out.
‘How do we know if there are watching us?’
Because I’m expecting them,’ she said slyly as she lit a cigarette. ‘I’m working for them.’ My heart sank into my stomach.
‘What?’
‘Chill, they came to me and offered huge cash to get you alone, they think I’m the poor desperate girl looking for money. I took the offer.’ I sighed with relief.
‘Won’t they kill you if they get here?’
‘They will,’ I c*cked a brow. ‘Leave my dying to me.’
‘If they are going to be here, why not just ambush them?’
‘Because they aren’t as foolish as you think, they have been planning this since forever. They won’t come directly and that’s what I’m counting on, keep your medallion on, they are here and don’t believe anything they tell you.’ I brought out my phone and went online to check the post I uploaded on Tweeter. I remembered the time I unmasked myself, everyone including Betty went crazy, she’s a super fan remember. The picture qaa of me k-ssing Xeris’ cheek and telling off a stupid actress to stay away from my boyfriend, I don’t take nonsense.
‘One million likes already, the comments are incredible.’
‘You mean the picture you uploaded warning Miriam to back off?’ She asked.
‘Yeah,’ I gasped as something cold sting my neck. ‘That hurts.’
‘Sorry,’ I heard her whisper before I passed out.

I gro-ned waking up, my head hurt. I mo-ned in pain and looked at Betty who was tied beside me.
‘Did you have to make it hurt?’
‘Sorry, gotta make it real.’ She chuckled, I sighed just as two guys walked in. Wow! Oh my wow! Talk about hot, oh my ghoul!
‘Sweet hot pudding,’ I murmured. ‘You’re so hot!’ I exclaimed. The one at the back winked at me. ‘I wasn’t talking to you, I was talking to the sweet one at the front.’ He scoffed and rolled his eyes.
‘Hello Lyra, I’m Mordecai and this is my younger twin Montane.’
‘Really? Montane?’ I asked chucklingly. ‘That’s so girlish,’
‘Can I shoot her?’
‘Silent Montane.’
‘You should call him Tane, it suits him.’ Betty said gigglingly.
‘Did you have to tell them that? I told you that my name is Morrison now.’
‘Why? Montane is cute.’ I giggled.
‘F-ck! See what you caused!’ The last one yelled.
‘Geez! What do you both want? I have a concert to prepare for.’ I sighed.
‘Don’t worry sweetheart, I won’t hurt you,’ Mordecai whispered kneeing in front of me. ‘You’re beautiful, ‘ he whispered and tucked the loose strands of my hair behind my ear. ‘I’ve always wanted to meet you in person.’
‘Really? Have you been stalking me?’
‘Maybe, pretty girls need to be stalked. You don’t deserve Xeris or rather, he don’t deserve you, you’re too good for him.’ His hand slide into my turtleneck top, somebody’s ho-ny.
‘What do you want from me? You think Xeris is bad? What makes you different?’
‘I don’t need to list it, I just need to have you. I’m never letting you go,’
‘Okay, wasn’t expecting that.’ Betty muttered.
‘Don’t worry hon, you’re not left out of this,’ Montana chuckled. ‘You’re pretty and if taking you will hurt Xeron, then I will.’
‘What did they do to you?’
‘His parents killed mine, my dad.’
‘He tried to kill theirs, dude he’s a psycho.’
‘No, I’m the psycho, he’s just bitter,’ Mordecai grinned gripping my chin. ‘What I’m going to do with you is gonna be worse than what Russell did.’ I gasped.
‘Tormenting you will satisfy our hate, once we catch Xeris, he’ll watch him hurt you everyday.’ Montane smiled.
‘You hate him that much?’ I whimpered.
‘He killed my wife!!!’ Mordecai scre-med. ‘He killed her!!!!’
‘You were married? Aren’t you like twenty six?’
‘Twenty nine fool! She was my everything before she went to help me find his weakness. He made her fall in love with him, she betrayed me because of him but then he killed her.’
‘You mean you killed her because you were angry she left you,’ I scoffed.
‘He made me kill her! He slept with my wife!’ Montane made a gesture behind him, telling me that he was a psycho and had no choice.
‘You sent the bitch to look for trouble, seal with it.’ Betty scoffed.
‘So you’re going to kill me?’
‘After I make him watch me ride you endlessly, he’ll pay.’
‘Yeah, sure.’ He stood up.
‘He’ll be here soon, tracking you down but won’t expect to fall into a trap.’ He laughed and left.
‘Sorry about that,’ Montane sighed as he puffed out smoke from his pipe. ‘He’s insane.’
‘So you’re not evil?’
‘It’s a do or die. My mom tried to talk some sense into him but he raped her to death.’ I gasped and covered my mouth mentally, I was tied down.
‘He’s messed up.’
‘I tried to free myself but look,’ he raised his left trousers, he was missing a foot. ‘It’s a do or die.’
‘What if we can help you?’ Betty asked smilingly.
‘No one can, I can only hope he kills me.’ He said chucklingly.
‘Then I’ll be grateful, I just want to live without living for a selfish dead man. I wasn’t born then, why bother my life.’
‘Then set me free,’ I whispered.
‘No, don’t worry.’ Betty smiled and stood up.
‘How did you….’
‘Red bullet to gold X, I’m in. I’ll secure the first line.’ She said pressing hr ear.
‘Wh…’ Montane tried to bring out his gun but that was rubbish, Betty shot him with the silent gun she brought out.
‘Bull’s eyes,’ she blew her gun. ‘I wasn’t born yesterday fool.’ I untied myself and stood up, he was dead.
‘They probably have children too,’ I chuckled. ‘I’ll make sure they don’t make it.’ She opened the door and walked out first, I waited until she returned. ‘Clear?’ She nodded. I bent down and took his gun, I followed her behind carefully. I was more good at fighting than with guns. I threw the gun away and brought out my hairpins. Betty guarded me, she shot anyone that came her way while I supported the way I could.
‘Lyra…’ Someone came behind me, I grabbed his hand and wh¡pped him on the wall. ‘It’s me!’ Xeron gasped removing his mask. I let him go.
‘Where’s Xeris?’
‘He went after the other one,’
‘He needs help,’ I ran to the other direction.
‘He don’t need your help!’ I didn’t listen, my instinct was pushing me forward. I walked into a door and gasped, Xeris was just tossing Mordecai at the other side of the room. I hid behind the door and watched as he beat up the guy.
‘You’re gonna kill me, huh?’ He mocked and kicked Mordecai’s stomach. ‘You killed my cousins, that’s sweet.’ He dabbed Mordecai’s rib, I felt pity for him. Xeris pulled him up by his hair and punched his face, he staggered back and rest on the wall.
‘Just like my dad, I always have a backup, bitch.’
‘Sure you do,’ Xeris roundhouse his face, I was sure he hadn’t successfully thrown a single punch at Xeris. ‘That’s for touching my girl or even imagining to touch her.’ I saw it, Mordecai had a knife, Xeris wasn’t looking at his hand so I knew he was going to get killed. He was going to stab him in the neck. I removed the dagger strapped to my th-gh and threw it, the only thing in my mind was to save Xeris.
I missed, I accidentally stabbed Xeris on his shoulder.
‘Shit!’ He staggered back, Mordecai used it as an opportunity, he charged at Xeris. Xeris caught his hand but he had another knife. I picked up the gun I saw on the ground and shot with eyes closed. My hands were trembling, I opened my eyes and sighed fearfully. They both laid on the ground.
‘Xeris, did I shoot you?’
‘You certainly stabbed me,’ he pushed him off and removed the knife from his shoulder. ‘The dagger is poisoned Lyra,’ he gasped. ‘I can’t breathe.’ I shift to panic mode, good thing Xeron ran in.
‘What happened?!’
‘I….I….’
‘Just get me the antidote in Tan’s watch, poison.’ Xeris said sneezingly. I gulped and bit my cheek. Xeron carried him on his shoulder.
‘Go ahead, find Tan!’ I ran out, careful not to get shot in the midst of the gunfight. I went on my knees and crawled down the stairs, I was about standing up when someone pulled my hair up.
‘You! You caused this!’ It was Montane, he was still alive, bleeding chest but alive. ‘You’re coming with me.’ I couldn’t fight back, I was still in shock, I couldn’t feel my body. He hoisted me over his shoulder and ran out through the back door, I was helpless.
‘Hey! Drop her or I’ll blow your head off!’ Xeris yelled, Montane froze. I bent my body, he was weak but still standing and glaring at him.
‘Or I can shoot her,’ Montane huffed. I scoffed and wh¡pped my body around, flipping him to the ground in the process. Without thinking, I imprisoned his head between my shin and twist his neck. His neck snapped out of position, I stood up and shivered.
‘I killed again.’
‘I’m so proud of you,’ he gasped and fell on his knees. If I die, I’ll kill you.’ I rushed to him and held his chest.
‘Are you okay?’
‘Am I easy to kill?’ He rest on my laps and sighed. ‘I’ll be fine, I promise.’
Yeah, he promise.
# EPILOGUE

Don’t look at me like nothing…’ I sang as I roamed on stage, the crowds were going wide. I was singing with Xena only. Xeris was away handling something I rather not know, I love my normal life and it don’t need any crazy. Lyle was already in college, he’s smart. Soon he would be announced as the heir. He was still dating Imogene, they are perfect for each other. Dad, he married Phoebe and we were expecting a little sister soon. Dad already bought an entire baby store for her, her name would be Melody or Harmony. That’s if I don’t name her Coco, depends on when I see her.
Creamy was wagging her tail as she danced too, she was a fabulous dancing dog, really grown up. Bethilda and Xeron were complicated, in love but crazy. I’ll assume Xerra’s okay because I don’t really ask. Xena, her relationsh¡p is the best since she has no fear of Tan cheating, he don’t care about girls and none dare cross Xena’s path. She was rapping now, bouncing around like a guy with hand between her legs. She was always the best but Betty was my best friend, crazy but okay.

F-cking ladies…’ I sang. I breathe, I remember the last time I stood on stage as Ruby Mask right before dad called me back. I never expected to change, never expected to fall in love with a crazy handsome devil but I guess that changed. Made a new friend, the green eyed girl with a bomb on her head, fell in love, almost got killed, killed people, got my brother back….wow! So much thing. I became a wh0le new Lyra Oceans now, all thanks to the green eyed devils.
Super dope thing, I wasn’t going to change anytime soon.
