Dave got to school and went straight to the boy’s lodge. He couldn’t find so he checked under the carpet and removed the key. in,side the room, everywhere was already clean, so he just pushed his belongings to one side beside Nath’s before stepping out again to go meet Nath at the female’s lodge.
Walking through the busy school environment, Dave’s mind cast back to his father. Something wasn’t just right and he could feel it. Could it be he was planning something evil?
He was still in deep thought when a soft touch graced his back, making him stop.
“A penny for you thoughts?” Ella smiled, throwing a braid of her hair backwards.
Dave smiled too, adjusted his glasses and let his hands rest comfortably in his trouser pocket. He was lost, completely lost on what to say. Naturally, he was a very quiet person but could be a bit free in the company of people close to him.
“Are you alright, hello?” Ella waved a hand in his face. He removed a hand and adjusted his glasses, placing it back in his pocket, he started walking while she followed quietly.
“Heading to the female’s hostel to meet my friend, the one you…”
Ella’s soft laugh interrupted him. “For a moment I thought you don’t talk. Anyways, I’m sincerely sorry about yesterday.”
Again, Dave didn’t know what to reply, so he just nodded like a lizard and smiled.
“You’re strange,” She said and pulled his left hand out from the pocket, then held it. Dave felt uncomfortable but she didn’t budge. She couldn’t explain why she chose to hold his hand but in all honesty, she felt comfortable and peaceful just walking with him…

Manny and his friends were under a shade, in front of their department, laughing and talking about how interesting or boring the holiday was. They were final year students. The department was painted grey and at a corner, some group of girls could be seen conversing as well.
Soon, Mr. James stepped out of the building and when he sighted Manny, he called out, “org-nism?”
“Sir!” Manny jumped from his sit in a mock salute while his course mates laughed heartily. Mr. James was one of the lecturers the students admired so much cos of his jovial nature and for reasons best known to him, he had nicknamed Manny, “org-nism”
Manny greeted and they exchanged pleasantries like old time friends. Mr. James then led him to a corner, far from all ears. Putting a hand across his shoulder, he smiled and said, “I went to your mom’s stand to eat today and I saw your sister. Is she now a student here?”
Manny suddenly grew suspicious. Questions like this always carried negative vibes but he still nodded in affirmative.
“Awesome. I mean, wonderful!” Mr. James drew closer to him and whispered. “Can you arrange for us to meet? I have something important to discuss with her.”
Manny was speechless. He stared, mouth slightly open. Mr. James was known to be a very disciplined man, what then does he want with his sister?…

Ella and Dave parted ways when they got to the female lodge. Dave promised to come over to Joy’s room with Nath.
Before they departed, Ella held his hand a little longer and in that way, they stared into each other’s eyes. They could feel the connection between them that made their hearts beat fast before letting go.
“See you later,” She released his hand, turned and walked away. She could feel flush of emotions building up in her system as she did. Apart from her dream guy, never has any man made her feel that way…

“Chief, they attack with bomb next week. Get your son and loved ones out quickly.”
A sound came on and the call ended.
Chief seemed to be in a trance. He started moving up and down the sitting room, looking for something that wasn’t there. “Why would Dagger do that to him? That wasn’t the initial plan.” He needed to do something ASAP.

Ella was just telling Joy about how she met Dave that morning and how he said he would stop by later when a knock came through the door. Quickly, Joy dashed to it and opened up.
Dave stood in with his hands in his pocket, quiet as usual while Nath smiled widely on sighting Ella.
Both walked in,side and since the room was arranged yet, then relaxed on the bare mattress.
Joy brought out a packet of cornflakes and milk, then carried a bag of sachet water and placed it in the middle of the room.
“Wow! Did we come here to eat or get to know ourselves better?” Nath inquired.
“Both,” Joy smiled opened the pack of cornflakes.
Nath sat up and shifted forward. “In that case, I think I’m already falling in love with this new circle of friends. “
Meanwhile, Ella and Dave were stealing glances at each other. Their eyes spoke volumes but the situation in the room left them speechless…

Lekan didn’t see it coming. He could only feel the pains of the sword on his back and he turned to see Dagger glaring at him with fire in his eyes.
“How dare you try to mess up my plan?”
He tried saying something but couldn’t. In a second, the cold floor welcomed him and his blood flowed freely like water.
Cobra ran in,side and stopped shocked at the sight of Lekan who lay lifeless in a pool of blood.
“Get the boys, bring Chief’s wife to this den in the next twenty minutes. Anyone who dares to mess to my plan will die by my sword,” Dagger’s voiced thundered and echoed round the room. He quickly walked out with his nose up and a sour expression on his face. At the door, he stopped and turned, then with an evil grin spat on the floor. “This is just the beginning…”
