Dave heard a crack at the door and quickly hid the wristwatch in his pocket. Parents with wisdom of the elders have always told their Children not to take or touch what does not belong to them but here was Dave putting a wristwatch he knew nothing about into his pocket with the feeling that he was no longer a child.
 
The door opened and Nath poked his head in. The polo he wore was blood stained and he had a cut on his forehead. “Dave?”
 
Dave did not reply but rather walked out from in between the shelves quietly and slowly.
 
“I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Your mom has been stabbed and two policemen killed, “ Nath breath.
 
“No! It can’t be,” Dave rushed to the door, pushed Nath out and made to close it but he held his hand, thus stopping him.
 
“What did you find in,side this room? It looks secretive.”
 
Dave pushed him aside, locked the door and put the key into his pocket, then ran towards out of the passage while Nath followed suspiciously, placing a palm over his forehead for support…

FASTFORWARD
 
The week of gloom having passed, Nath and Dave returned to school after spending five days at home. The wound on Mrs. Ofunne’s shoulder which resulted from the stab was well taken care of and its healing was rapid.
 
Meanwhile, Nath, on getting to school quickly reported himself at Joy’s room to ask after Ella. All efforts Joy made to know what happened from him proved abortive cos they had been asked to keep everything to themselves to avoid complicating chief…
 
The next day, Nath met with Ella while Dave with Joy. Each pair sat at a comfortable s₱0t. While Joy sat on a plastic chair facing Dave who sat on her reading chair, unhappy due to the fact that Dave was talking to her as expected, Ella and Nath sat on the bed, facing each other in an awkward position.
 
“I truly love you,” Nath was saying as he held Ella’s hand, car-ssing her palm and looking directly into her eyes. “Please give me a chance to make you happy.”
 
Ella withdrew her hands from his and glanced at Dave whose eyes met hers before looking away. “I’m sorry but I can’t.”
 
“Why?”
 
“I love another.”
 
You love…” Nath stopped when he realized his voice was loud. Lowering it into a whisper, he said, “Who’s he?”
 
Ella did not reply but rather stood up, adjusted the gown she wore before picking up her bag to announce her departure. Despite the awkward silence that had overshadowed them, Nath still walked her to the school gate where she boarded a cab home…

in,side the thick and dark forest as being described in episode 5, Okasi’s back could be seen turned on Dagger who knelt a distance behind him.
 
“That which you ask is not a difficult task but I am very unhappy with you,” Okasi was saying. “If you’re not a man I like so much, I’d have killed you long ago.”
 
“I’m sorry, Great one. Please accept the little I’ve offered and grant my request. My heart won’t be at rest if I don’t have my revenge and now my mission is known, it won’t be easy for me unless I cut them off one by one without trace,” Dagger pleaded.
 
“And you think being an invisible serial killer will help you?”
 
“Yes! Exactly,” Dagger said quickly.
 
Okasi laughed out loud causing the ground to shake. “Your silver wristwatch is in possession of a strange being and as long as it’s not recovered, the deaths will somehow be traced back to you but notwithstanding, your wish will be granted.”
 
Dagger thought deeply. For the wristwatch to be in another’s possession means his secret room had been invaded. His mind cast back to chief and the night he fled. Now, his mission doubled. To destroy Upland University and to find out who’s in possession of the silver wristwatch…

Soon, news of Upland University being destroyed began to fade, though not completely, from the hearts of those who had knowledge of it The Vice Chancellor, with no knowledge of what had happened was happy and grateful to God for taking Dagger out of the way.
 
Meanwhile, throughout the week, Dave hurtfully avoided Ella like a plaque. He’d found out Nath was in love with her, so he decided to be the one that would come in between them for Nath was like a brother to him even though he knew Nath to be a cheat and game player.
 
Weekend night came soon. While some students like Joy went out partying and having fun, Ella, at about 8:45pm, packed her books and walked quietly, heading to the lodge library for night study. Her mom permitted to spend the weekends in school so she won’t use it as an excuse that she wasn’t given the permission to read where she felt comfortable. Immediately she approached the male’s lodge, she sighted Dave going towards the lodge library as well. She quickened her pace and soon caught up with him. He wore joggers with polo and on his neck hung a sweater. His glasses rested as usual on his eyes.
 
“And I wonder why you’ve been avoiding me?” a voice said behind him. Dave didn’t need to stop or turn. That voice had become a part of him and he could detect it anywhere.
 
“I’m not avoiding you. Just avoiding problems,” Dave explained without looking at her.
 
“Oh, I get it. I’m now a problem to you, right but joy isn’t?” Ella questioned. She could feel the tears welling up her eyes and jealousy biting her hærd.
 
Dave understood how she felt and he felt bad too but then, he couldn’t help it. If he doesn’t avoid her, he might be forced to hurt his friend, Nath, so he kept mute and continued walking…

The school environment had only a few dark s₱0ts as security lights illuminated all round. Esther, Nath’s girlfriend and her friend were heading towards the cafeteria to eat when one of them suddenly felt the need to urinate. Her friend waited for her by the road while she quickly dashed into a nearby bush to ease off.
 
As she stood, urinating, she heard heavy footsteps bur she didn’t mind at first, with a feeling that it could a student. But then, the footsteps became nearer and louder. Terrified, the poor girl made to run away from the s₱0t but an invisible hand grabbed her neck and in a jiffy, her throat was slit and her head off her neck.
 
Waiting for about five minutes without seeing her friend, Esther moved towards the bush to check what had gone wrong. Fear gripped her as she pointed her flashlight and saw her friend in a pool of blood with her head off. She ran out and scre-med at the top of her voice, thus attracting other students who ran to the scene…

Ella was about saying something when Dave stopped and touched his nose. From the ray of the security light, she could see he was bleeding from his nose.
 
“Jeez, you’re bleeding,” she said with concern written all over her face as she touched his forehead to feel his temperature.
 
Dave himself knew not the cause of his nose bleeding. He made to say something but the voice of a distressed student shouting, “Everybody come out o, someone has been murdered at the cafeteria…” interrupted him.
 
Ella gasp in shock as she heard that. She began regretting why she’d convince mom to let her spend the weekends in school. Not minding his bleeding nose, Dave held her hand and they joined other students to run to the scene of crime.

A crowd of students had already gathered when Dave and Ella arrived the scene. They pushed forward to have a clearer view. Three securities were examining the dead body and on it’s stomach was a bold inscription of three bloody letters, “DCO.”
