The kingdom of Nishkapur is a nice and wonderful Kingdom known for it’s hospitality… The kingdom is situated just hundreds of miles away from the sea.
Since it’s closer than any living settlement, Merchants settle down and rest before going on their way… They even sell some of their goods while they’re at it…
Unlike Marida, Nishkapur isn’t rich and powerful, but they’re blessed with medicinal herbs which the people make use of it and make medicines to cure diseases… In fact, The kingdom’s source of income was generated through that and many people come into the kingdom to be healed or cured.

Unlike Marida, The people of this Kingdom have no grievances what so ever, Their reputation keeps them safe from any colonization… The sultan of this Kingdom is Ali ibn jabar the second, He’s a benevolent king and is loved by his subjects.. But despite that, he rules his kingdom with iron hærd, making sure the rules of the kingdom is obeyed and anyone who breaks them is punished without hesitation, no matter who the person is.

Here in Nishkapur…. Money isn’t valued that much.. Unlike Marida where money is power… The only thing that the kingdom holds in regard is its Sacred laws.. Thanks to these laws, it keeps the people in check and also preserve their way of life and their customs..
Unlike Marida, Things are a lot different here in Nishkapur… While women are treated as properties in Marida, women here aren’t given any right to do anything they want… In fact when they’re in their early ages, they’re aren’t allowed to go out, they only stay in their houses and are trained and brought up to be housewives and they can’t choose who they love.. Whoever their parents bring for them, that’s who they’ll marry and she must do it… But that’s not always the case because that only happens to those who aren’t rich… The daughters of the rich are also restricted from going out in their early but when they come of age .. They’re allowed to go out and see the world and they choose who they want to marry.

Here in the palace of Sultan Ali… A lovely and beautiful lady sits on the balcony and stares into the horizon…
Her name is Jasmine, the only daughter to Sultan Ali, the second… She’s witty, bold, curious and beautiful… Unlike most ladies in Nishkapur who do as they’re told.. She hates being told what to do and hopes to go outside the kingdom to explore the strange lands beyond…
Seeing the fire in his daughters eyes, Sultan Ali has made sure, she’s secured indoors and isn’t allowed to step outside the palace but that was no longer possible because his daughter has now grown up to be a fine young stunning woman.
Seeing that today’s her 20th birthday, She smiles as she breathes in the fresh air around her… Finally she was going to out of these palace walls and explore the world around her… She couldn’t wait.
As she was busy enjoying the view, Her moment for serenity had interrupted by her handmaiden…

Jasmine quietly follows her father out of the chamber to see what he wants to show her.. Soon, they enter another chamber.. Jasmine gasps as she sees the place filled with a lot of expensive stuffs, She goes around the room looking at them in wonder.. She grabs some of the things and glares at them with keen interest.

Sultan Ali felt stung by his daughter’s words… He couldn’t go back on his promise now and it would be cause an uproar if people found out he couldn’t follow the one custom that he had ordered them to follow… So being trapped in a corner with no options, he decided to let his daughter tour around Nishkapur.

Sultan Ali leaves Jasmine alone in the room and walks out in a jiffy, Jasmine mutters under her breath regretting why she is a princess… Immediately her father leaves, she follows him and catches up with him.

Sultan Ali leaves his daughter and walks away… Jasmine fumes in annoyance hearing about her father’s revelation… Seeing that she wasn’t getting things her own way.. She begins to think of a way to enjoy her touring alone and postpone the meeting of the suitors.

By the gods, that was close…… I didn’t know my disguise would work….. Looks like father has to get some real guards.
I love my father and I respect him but he’s so strict and clingy… The world is changing and one’s life in this world is unpredictable… I didn’t want to sit down and do nothing, this is my life and I want to make the best use of it while I’m alive.

Seeing that, I was going to be esc-rted by the Royal guards, I decided to disguise myself as a servant by wearing one of the servants ragged clothes… I made sure I and covered my body so I wouldn’t be recognized but I didn’t know it was going to work, I thought the guards would knew everyone that went in and out of the palace but as I walked out of the palace, they didn’t seem to care… To them, I was just a servant and a nobody.

I know my father wanted to ensure I was safe but there are some things I want to experience alone… I want to do things on my own terms…
So immediately I went out of the palace, I went straight into the crowd…. This is the first time, I’ve seen or been in,side a crowd like this… It’s so fascinating and wonderful…. Different faces and colors of people… I was amazed by what I saw… I kept walking until I reached a more crowded and condensed area… I could tell this is the market… Luckily for me.. I had bought some bags of gold coin in order to buy some things along the way….

I stopped by each shop to something for myself… It was fun doing all this things by myself… No slaves or servants at my side, just me.
I bought some veils and gown and tried them on.. The looked perfect on me of course, so I got rid of the rags and wore the ones I bought… After that, I continued on my tour.
After so many sight seeings, I decided to take a rest, I saw one place, which had a sign on it ” Harem’s palace “, and as it turns out some men and women were going in and out of the place… So I got in to see what it was.
Immediately I entered the place, I saw something awkward and strange…. He poked some men next to him, showing me to them… Before I knew what was happening, They all stood up and came to my direction.

To be honest.. I was scared and I started regretting why I hadn’t brought the guards as my esc-rt but nevertheless, I maintained a calm face.

I looked at myself and saw I too was in the same appearance as they are…. I saw scared… really scared.. Not long ago I was a princess and now I’m a slave.?
I asked the women if they knew where we were going but they were mute.. They were looking at me as if I was dumb.. At many attempts to try to converse with them.. I too kept my mouth shut.
A little bit later, the carriage stopped and the leafy veil was removed from the cage… Everything was clear again and we were now breathing fresh air… As I looked around, I saw we were in some kind of place like a slave market but the majority of the captives were women, only a handful of men were among.. And what surprised me was, there was some men who looked rich and wealthy, they were busy going round and taking a look at the women, Some touched their bodies, to examine them.
Soon, the cage we were in was opened and we were dragged out of it.. All of us formed a straight line and we were ordered to climb some kind of stage.. As we climbed up, our chains were removed and we were ordered to face the crowd…
Then after that, One fat man came upon the stage and began to shout out loud attracting the attention of the crowd.. Before long, there was a huge gathering of men who were shouting and whistling as they saw us… And then while we stood watching the men… The ugly man that abducted me, came upon the stage as well… How I hate this man!

I was too stunned to move.. My body was trembling with fright.. As the beast was busy feasting on the man, I quietly snuck out of the place and ran away.. Just when I thought I had escaped.. The ugly brute that abducted me grabbed and pulled me into a tent.. He slapped me hærd making me fall on the ground.
