HER QUEST FOR REVENGE

CHAPTER 16🥀

“I’m sorry I interrupted you guys, I’ll leave now” She faked a smile and walked out of the studio.

“What have you done?” Nathaniel asked with an angry expression.

He dashed out of the studio before she could reply to him.

Unfortunately, Roxanna is already gone. He sighed sadly.

Anger took over him and he walked back into the studio fuming in anger.

He grabbed Cordelia’s hand firmly….

“What are you doing here. I thought I made it very clear to you, I don’t want to marry you” He said as he added pressure on her arm.

“You’re hurting me” She said wincing in pain.

He released her and ruffled his hair, he then turned back to her.

“Leave” Nathaniel said

“But I….”

“I said leave!!!” He shouted

Cordelia flinched and ran out of the studio.

“Why is it that when I finally fall for someone, something must ruin it all” He said to no one in particular.

He walked out of his studio and boarded his car then drove off heading to her house…

Immediately the cab dropped her home, she paid him and ran into the house.

Suzy saw Roxanna and smiled…

“Oh you’re back home, I was….”

She couldn’t finish her word as Roxanna ran pass her.

She entered her room and locked the door then sat down on the floor as she cried sobbed loudly.

She held her chest.

“It hurts really bad” She said admist her tears.

Suzy knocked on the door worriedly as she heard Roxanna crying. She tried to open the door but it was locked, she knocked again

“Roxy, what’s wrong? Please open the door” Suzy said while banging the door….

“Just got away, let me be. I need to be alone” Roxanna scre-med while crying.

Suzy sighed and stopped knocking but she sat down on the doorstep, waiting for her to calm down.

Roxanna stood up from the floor and walked to the mirror in front as she stared at her reflection.

“What were you first of all expecting? That he would love you?” Roxanna asked her reflection…

She broke into more tears as she began hiccuping…

“Why can’t he love me? I’m I not beautiful for his liking?” She said.

She punched the mirror and it broke into pieces producing a shattering noise…

Suzy stood at alert as she heard the noise of broken mirror.

She stood and kicked the door open and gasped as she saw broken pieces of the mirror lying on the floor and blood dripped from Roxanna’s hand to the broken pieces.

Roxanna had her head down as tears cascaded her cheek falling on the ground in droplets

Suzy rushed to her and held her bruised hand.

“Oh my God, look at your hand. It’s bleeding” Suzy said.

“That’s nothing compared to the state my heart is” Roxanna said in a whisper.

Suzy held her shoulder and made her face her.

“What’s wrong, tell me” Suzy said.

“I saw him, I saw him k-ss another girl. Why can’t he love me. My wh0le life, I felt nothing but suffering. I’m I cursed? Why can’t I be happy for once in my life” Roxanna said in tears…

Suzy hugged her patting her back. She placed her head on her shoulder and cried till her heart content

She helped her treat and dress her wound then the maids cleaned the mess in her house. The door was repaired.

Suzy succeeded in making her sleep. She took one last glance at her and then walked out of her room.

*I really feel for you Roxy* Suzy thought as she walked downstairs.

Nathaniel dashed out of his car as soon as he arrived her house.

They was some crazy traffic which delayed him.

He ran to the gate and rang the bell while pacing to and fro. A guard opened the gate and he pushed him aside walking in the house.

He entered the living room and Suzy was surprised to him here worse at this state. If someone sees him, they’ll think he has grown mad.

“What are you doing here?” Suzy asked.

“Where’s Roxanna, I need to speak to her. It’s urgent” He said as he made to climb up the stairs

Suzy pulled him back.

“She isn’t in the mood to talk right now” Suzy said

“It’s urgent that I speak to her, please” He said.

“Listen, you need to understand. She is suffering right now and you know the reason. I know you know she’s really into you, and when she saw what transpired between you and that girl, she grown mad. Please let her rest for today, you’ll speak to her tomorrow” Suzy said.

He sighed and took one last glance at the stairs before walking out of the house.

Jennifer laid on her bed and sighed for the up tenth time

“Tomorrow Kevin will ask Roxanna out” She muttered.

She sat up and walked out of her room and almost immediately Nathaniel stormed into his room and banged the door close

_______Next morning

Roxanna opened her eyes and squinted them before staring at the ceiling.

Honestly she doesn’t want to leave her room but she has to, today the band are having rehearsal for their new song.

She climbed down the bed and dragged her feet to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and took a bath then dressed back her wound before walking out of the bathroom.

She applied her body cream and then wore white gown that ended above her knees with a black leather jacket. She then wore black stylist boots and then brushed her hair. She looked beautiful as usual but her mood made her look dull…

She picked up her bag and walked out of her room. She entered the dining room and ate. The once lively and cheerful time they had when eating breakfast was now dull and quiet.

After she was done eating she stood up.

“Suzy, I’ll wait for you in the car” She said and walked out of the house.

After some minutes Suzy joined her and the driver drove them to their studio. They got down and walked to the studio.

The rehearsal began, although Roxanna sang with a dull expression even the sound producer seemed to notice it as he asked them to stop.

“Roxanna, you’re voice is kinda dull. Where’s the vibrant Roxanna that I knew” The producer said.

“I’m sorry, I’m not just in my mood today” She replied.

They continued with their rehearsals and after about as hour it was done. The girls walked out of the studio.

“What’s wrong with Roxy” Olivia whispered to Suzy.

“She’s going through a severe moment of depression” Suzy replied

“Poor girl” Yvonne said….

Roxanna left the girls and walked to no particular direction, maybe with that she’ll be able to forget about him

“Roxanna”

She stopped on her tracks as she heard someone call her name. Tears gathered in her eyes as she heard who it was.

She slowly turned and face him then faked a smile.

“Hey Nate” She said.

Nathaniel walked closer to her and noticed her bandaged hand. He felt his heart bleed as he already figured out the he was the cause if it.

“Um Roxy, about what you saw yesterday I just…”

“It’s okay I understand, I once told you that I’ll know my limit” She said.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have somewhere else to go” She said and turned then made to leave but Nathaniel held her hand.

By that time the crowd were slowly gathering around them.

Roxanna turned and looked at his hand holding hers and then at his face.

“What anything wrong?” Roxanna asked.

“You love me right?” Nathaniel said staring deep in her eyes.

Roxanna looked down and removed her hands from his grip.

“I do, very much yes” She replied as the tears she was fighting back came out.

“Please, I’ll like you to keep your distance away from me. Maybe with that I’ll be able to erase you from my heart” She said and turned then began walking away.

“What if I tell you that I love you” Nathaniel said looking down

Roxanna stopped on her tracks trying to see if her ears where still functional.

Nathaniel walked up to her and stood in front of her. He lifted her head up and made her look at him.

“From the first time that I set my eyes on you, I already felt that you were someone special but I was too dumb to realize and accept my feelings. Then when you where away for those three days, I kept thinking about you everywhere I go, I see you everything I do, you are always in my heart. It was from these three days that I realized and accepted my feelings for you” Nathaniel said as Roxanna stared at him

He held her hand and placed it on his chest.

“From that day onwards, this heart beats and beats only for you Roxy. Roxanna, I’m sorry I made you cry, I made you hurt yourself…seeing you cry is just like my heart have been stabbed over and over again…please forgive me. The truth is that I’m head over heels for you Roxy, I love you much more than you could imagine” He said staring deep into her eyes.

Roxanna mouth parted as she stared at Nathaniel, not being able to believe what he was saying.

“I guess actions speak louder than words” He said.

He drew her closer to him by the wa-ist and then leaned towards her as he claimed her l-ips, kssing her tenderly and passionately.

Roxanna froze such as her brain. She wasn’t able to record it in her brain. Nathaniel, her long time crush and her first love is kssing her.

The wh0le crowd was in an uproar as they scre-med. Some took pictures, some took videos while others where busy scre-ming and cheering for them.

The girls stood by the corner and smiled as they hugged themselves while watching the rom-ntic scene infront of them.

After some minutes they broke they kss in order to catch their breaths.

Nathaniel released her and turned to the crowd.

“Hey everyone out here, listen to me. You see that beautiful and charming lady over there? I love her, I love her so much. I can do anything just to make her smile… Now if anyone try some shits with her, you’re gonna be facing me because I can kill for her. She’s my joy giver, my second mother, my heart keeper, my smile giver…infact she’s all to me. I LOVE YOU ROXANNA MARTINEZ, I’M CRAZY OVER YOU GIRL” Nathaniel scre-med facing the crowd as they recorded everything.

Roxanna all along was busy blushing and smiling widely while holding her chest which was beating very fast.

He turned and to Roxanna

“I love you Roxanna, never you doubt that” He said and pulled her in for a hug.

They broke the hug and he looked down at her. He ducked her hair behind her ears and then leaned forward as he k-ssed her tenderly.

While they were busy having their ro..mantic moments together, Cordelia was in her car burning with anger as watched them.

“What’s the name of that girl?” She asked her driver…

“Roxanna Martinez” The driver replied.

She turned up her window and the driver drove them away.

CHAPTER 17🥀

Jennifer stayed at home sulking in her room.

“I’m sure by right now, Kevin must have proposed to Roxanna” She said.

“I should be happy for her, but why do I feel so sad and jealous” She said again.

Her phone rang. She picked it up and sighed as she saw Catherine name appearing.

“Catherine?” Jennifer said.

“Where are you girl? I thought we had plans of going to the mall today?” Catherine said through the phone.

She spranged up from bed and walked to her wardrobe.

“Oh yes I forgot, let me just get ready. Where shall we meet?” Jennifer asked as she removed a clothe to wear.

“Meet me at the parking lot beside the mall” Catherine said.

“Alright” She hung up and ran to the bathroom.

She took a quick bath and rubbed her cream then wore her dress. It was a crop top with a blue jeans and some sneakers. She tied her hair in a messy bun and picked up her bag before walking out of the room.

She boarded one of the cars in the compound and drove off to the mall. She parked her car in the parking lot and came out of it.

She scanned round the area in order to see Catherine but she was no where to be found.

She turned and was surprised to see Kevin standing behind her.

“Oh hi Kelvin” She said.

“Hi” He replied smiling at her

*Why is he smiling so much today* Jennifer thought.

“Have you seen Catherine around, we were supposed to meet here” Jennifer said with her eyes scanning round the area

“She’s not coming” Kelvin said.

Jennifer looked at him suspiciously…

He brought his hands to her face, offering her a rose.

She looked at the rose and then at his face. She slowly took the rose from him.

“Thanks” She said smelling it.

“You’re welcome” He replied.

“So how did it go, did Roxanna say yes?” Jennifer asked.

Kelvin chuckled lightly.

“And who said I was going to propose to Roxanna?” He said.

“But you said you will propose to the girl you love?”Jennifer asked, confused.

Kelvin chuckled again and took a step closer to her. She took a step back he continued like that till he pinned her on the wall.

“Listen, I see Roxanna as my little sister nothing else. The only person I love and I will ever love is you” He said with a serious expression.

“Me?” Roxanna said with eyes wide.

He nodded and held her wa-ist.

“Now I’m asking you this, will you be my girlfriend?” He said as he brought his face closer to her.

“Uh, yes!!” Jennifer said, too shocked to record everything that is going on…

He smiled and slowly pressed his l-ips on her. Jennifer was too shocked to kss him back.

They broke the kss and stared into each other eyes.

“I love you too” Jennifer said feeling unmeasurable happiness…

Nathaniel’s bodyguards ushered the crowd to disperse.

Roxanna walked up to the girls and they had a group hug.

“I’m so happy for you Roxy” Yvonne said…

“Thanks girls” She replied smiling widely…

They broke the hug and then Nathaniel stepped in…

“If you’ll excuse me I’ll borrow her for some minutes” He said holding Roxanna’s hand.

“Sure, she’s all yours” Suzy said.

He nodded and they walked to his car. He opened the door for her to enter and he entered shortly.

The driver then drove them to a classic restaurant.

“Let’s have our first date as a couple” He said and held her hand as they alighted the car.

They walked into the restaurant and booked a table for the VIPs. The food they ordered where bought to them and they began eating.

“Open up” Nathaniel said as he brought his fork to her l-ips.

She smiled and opened her mouth and he fed her. She chewed on it slowly while smiling.

They ate together while taking turns to feed each other.

*Are they dating?
*Wow they look good together!

The people in the restaurant kept murmuring as they watched the newest couple in town having their moment together.

They walked out of the restaurant with Roxanna holding his arm. Right now it just looks like a dream to her and that she might wake up one minutes or another.

“Babe? I need to go to my studio, you know. For my rehearsal, do you mind coming with me?” He asked her.

“Sure let’s get going!!” Roxanna said and they entered his car which took them to his studio.

“Boss your son has safely arrived the country” A man said

“Good, send one of my men to bring him here” The man said, smoking his cigarette as usual.

A man with dark hair and blue highlights on it descended the stairs of the plane.

He ran his hands through his hair, enjoying the cool breeze. He walked up to two men who were dressed in black suit wearing black shades.

“Welcome back Mr Alec Jenkins. Your father asked us to bring you safely to his head quarter” One of the guards said.

“Alright” He replied with a smile.

He handed his suitcase to them and then entered the car. They mentioned entered shortly and then drove away…

Roxanna and Nathaniel parked the car at the parking lot before alighting it. Roxanna made to walk away but Nathaniel pulled her back and came her.

“All this just feels like a dream to me and scared that I’ll wake up one day and find out that you never loved me” Roxanna said.

He held her chin.

“Hey, this isn’t a dream. I love you and I really mean it, I’ve never felt this way for any woman in my life” Nathaniel said.

Roxanna smiled

“I love you too Nate” She said.

He leaned closer and then claimed her l-ips. His hands found it’s way to her butt and he squeezed it.

Roxanna shivered, enjoying everything he was doing. They broke the k-ss

“Come on let’s go, you don’t want to be late for your rehearsal” Roxanna said and held his hands as they walked out of the studio.

Suzy was walking down the street with her bodyguards beside her as she was speaking to Jennifer on the phone.

“Really he proposed to you” She said.

“I’m so happy for you Jenny, Nathaniel also confessed his feelings to Roxy, it was so rom-ntic” Suzy said on the phone

“Okay see you later” She hung up the call.

“I’m so happy for them” She thought as she was strolling on the highway.

He saw Rulian walking towards her. She smiled and made to wave at him but stopped as he wrapped his hands around her, giving her a hug.

“Thank you so much Suzy. I finally got a job because of you, my mother will be so happy when she’ll hear about the news” He said hugging her tightly.

She patted his back, still surprised by the hug.

“Uh, it’s cool. You’re welcome” She said.

He released her and smiled widely, for the first time.

“So what job did you get?” Suzy asked.

“You won’t believe me, your dad hired me as his personal assistant” He said

“Wow, that’s great then. I’m happy for you” Suzy said with a smile…

“Come on let’s go and celebrate it” Suzy said and they walked away

Yvonne was in Mason house, she was in the kitchen cooking lunch for the two of them when she felt someone arms round her wa-ist.

She smiled as she already knew who it was.

“What are you cooking, it smells so good” He said as he rested his head on her shoulder.

“Well I’m making chicken salad for us, please don’t distract me or else you’re gonna eat it burned” She said as she sliced the carrots.

“How will I distract you? You mean like this” He said and kssed her.

“I love you” He replied and pecked her l-ips before walking to the living room

Yvonne smiled and concentrated back on her cooking.

“Ohh no, the mayonnaise is finished” She said as she looked at the empty bottle.

“Mason, I’ll be back in a jiffy. Let me get a bottle at the store nearby.” She said.

“Alright be careful okay?” He said from the living room.

“Sure love” She said and fixed her dress well before walking out of the house.

Mason doesn’t like maids in his house that’s why he prefer doing his things on his own such as shopping, cleaning etc…

Yvonne arrived at the store and bought a bottle before walking back home.

Suddenly a car stopped in front of her and the car door opened.

A man came out of it and walked up to Yvonne with a smirk on his l-ips.

The bottle Yvonne was holding fell and shattered into pieces as she saw who walked and stood in front of her.

The memories of that day when he touched her flashed in her brain.

“We meet again beautiful” Alec said with a smile on his face…

Nathaniel removed his headset and walked up to his producer and Roxanna.

“You were fantastic as usual” His producer said.

“Thanks bro” He said as they bumped fists.

He turned to Roxanna and smiled

“Like he said you were fantastic” She said with a smile.

“I deserve a treat then” Nathaniel said

He leaned down to where she was sitting and kssed her shortly.

“This is pure oppression. I’m dying!!” The producer said and they laughed.

“Alright we’ll be leaving. See you later Boris” He said and held Roxanna’s hand.

“Alright Nate” His producer (Boris) said

They walked out of the studio and went to the parking lot.

Roxanna made to enter the car but he stopped her and made her face him.

“Why do I seem not to get enough of your l-ips?” He said.

Roxanna chuckled and stood on her toes then kssed him on the l-ips.

She broke the kss

“I’m all yours baby” She said.

“That’s temptation. I might ne tempted to…”

“Stop that you corrupted soul” She said and hit him playfully. He laughed loudly

Suddenly a car drove towards them at full speed.

Their eyes w¡dened as they saw the car coming at them.

Roxanna quickly pulled Nathaniel out of the way and they both fell on the ground.

The car stopped and two men came out of the car which masks on and guns in their hands.

Roxanna quickly stood up and scanned through the surrounding. She saw the men approaching them with guns aimed at them.

“Whatever happens, don’t move” Roxanna whispered to Nathaniel and he looked at her confusedly.

Roxanna stood up and placed her hands on her head as she slowly walked towards them.

“Please take me and don’t harm Nathaniel” She said

She slowly walked and stood in front of them. The man grabbed her arm harshly and aimed the gun on her head.

“What if we have fun with her before killing her” One of them said.

Nathaniel got angry and made to attack them but Roxanna gave him the looks which says ‘Don’t you dare’

He stood quiet and clenched his fist…

Roxanna swiftly held the arm the gun was in and then twist it to his back before kicking him on the back.

The other one made to shoot but she ducked a the bullet flew pass her head. She elbowed him on the stomach and then lifted her legs up as she gave him a kick on the face.

She quickly picked the gun he was holding and aimed it on his head.

“Tell me who sent you or else…”

She lifted the gun up and shot it in the air before aiming it on his head again

Nathaniel stood there, completely shocked by her new attitude. She was completely different and the way she fought together with her tone. It looks like she’s good in it.

“What are you waiting for, speak!!” She said in anger. Messing with her is okay, but messing with Nathaniel, she can’t tolerate it.

The second man stood up and made to attack her but she quickly aimed the gun at him and shot his legs.

He pointed back the gun at the man…

“My patience is running down” She said.

“Okay, I’ll talk but please don’t shoot me” He said as he stared at Roxanna with fear in his eyes
