HER QUEST FOR REVENGE

CHAPTER 9🥀

“You’re the girl I saved two years ago” Nathaniel said.

Roxanna stared at his face, completely speechless. Their faces were just inches apart which made his hot breath car-ss her face when he spoke.

She got back to her senses and then stood properly. He released her.

“Uh yes. My name is Roxanna Martinez, nice meeting you” Roxanna said.

“Nathaniel Davis” He replied with a smile revealing his dimples.

Roxanna looked down as she felt her heart race.

*I thought I was over it. Why now?* She said inwardly.

“You’re the Roxanna the others were talking about” Nathaniel said.

“Yeah, thanks for saving me and also for the other time” She said.

“No big deal, come on let’s go and meet the others” He said and they began walking to where the others are.

Roxanna kept stealing glances at Nathaniel.

They reached where the others are and they have them a suspicious look.

“How come you two are coming back together and at the same time.” Chris asked with a smirk on his l-ips.

“It’s not what you’re thinking you perverted mind” Nathaniel said and they laughed.

They walked out of the hall heading to the car, the bodyguards cleared way for them and they waved at their fans before entering their respective cars. Dylan decided to go back home.

Well Nathaniel is a graduate and he grew is his career as a musician, he also grew in fame, wealth and fans.

Chris is now the deputy CEO of his father’s company.

Mason is a top model, the most sort out in the country.

Dylan is a highly recommended doctor

And Kelvin is a sports star.

In short the boys made it in life. As for the girls they’re still in their first year in university.

The car parked in front of a club. They got out of their cars and walked in the club. The people present in the club almost went crazy as they saw celebrities enter at once.

They walked up to and sat down on empty table reserved for VIPs.

They ordered some drinks and began drinking while chatting happily.

Roxanna was sitting close to Nathaniel. She tried to ignore him but it was too hærd as she ended up stealing glances at him.

“So guys let’s tell each other our little secret. Who’s your crush or your love?” Chris asked.

“I have a crush but sadly he loves my best friend” Jennifer said sadly and Nathaniel gasped.

“Oh can’t believe my baby sister is crushing.” Nathan teased and Jennifer scoffed

“As for me I don’t, I prefer being free” Chris said.

“Well I’m confused, I don’t know if it’s a love or admiration” Roxanna said

The girls looked at each other smiling knowingly.

“Well I don’t” Catherine said.

“Same here” Olivia said

“Me too” Suzy said.

Mason glanced at Yvonne and sighed.

“Let’s just say mine is impossible love” He said.

“Well as for me I do love someone very much, I just hope she accepts me” Kelvin said and Jennifer felt a huge pang of jealousy.

“As for me I don’t have anyone I hold dear to the heart” Nathaniel said and Roxanna smiled discreetly

“I don’t know” Yvonne said.

They discussed for some minutes when suddenly a music began playing.

“I want to dance Suzy let’s go” Olivia said, they stood up and went to the dance floor as they began dancing.

“Will you dance with me?” Chris said to Catherine said.

They walked to the dance floor and began dancing.

“Will you dance with me Jenny?” Kelvin said which startled her. She nodded shyly and they walked away.

“Hey, come on. Let’s dance” Nathaniel said to Roxanna lending her his hand.

She took it and they walked away.

It was only Mason and Yvonne. Mason looked at her and then looked away.

“Do you want to dance?” Yvonne said which shocked Mason.

“Um, I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable or something” Mason said.

“But I want to dance” She said looking down.

“Alright” He slowly stretched his hands for her to take. She stared at it and then looked at him for some minutes.

She slowly placed her hand on his and he held it. She stared at her hand and looked at him, then smiled at him.

Mason stared at her smiling face.

*This is the first time in two years she smiled at me* Mason thought.

They stood up and went to the dancefloor.

After some minutes, the music stopped playing and then it switched to slow dance…

Everybody held on to their partners and began swaying to the music

Mason stared at Yvonne, not knowing if he should hold on to her or not.

Yvonne looked at the other dancing and she closed her eyes before placing her hands on his chest. Mason then held her wa-ist and they began swaying to the rhythm of the music.

He felt her trembling as they were dancing, he then brought his l-ips to her ears.

“Everything will be okay, I won’t harm you trust me” He whispered reassuringly in her ears.

Yvonne raised her head and looked at him. She nodded and then placed her head on his chest.

*I feel safe in his arms, like no one is going to harm me* Yvonne thought.

*Words can’t explain how much I’m happy that she has finally learnt to trust me* Mason thought.

On the other side of dancefloor, Roxanna was dancing with Nathaniel.

Her heart beat seemed to increase to 100.

He raised his hands and fixed her hair properly. Roxanna just stared at him, completely mesmerized by his handsomeness.

Jennifer was just blushing really hærd while Kelvin well he was cool.

When it was getting late, they went back home in their respective cars.

Roxanna took a bath and changed in her night wear before falling heavily on the bed thinking about the day of today.

She smiled happily as she remembered Nathaniel.

“Is this what we call love?” She said to no one in particular.

“This isn’t the time to be thinking about love. Right now, I have a mission to accomplish” She said.

“Tomorrow, I’m going to meet the commissioner. I have some questions to ask him concerning my father” She said and closed her eyes drifting off to sleep.

“Today was wonderful!!” Jennifer said as she sat down on Nathaniel bed.

“Is it wonderful because of the concert or is it wonderful because you spent time with Kelvin?” Nathaniel asked as he wore his shirt.

“What do you mean by Kelvin” She asked a little bit uneasy.

“You like him do you?” Nathaniel said as she kept quiet.

“I take your silence as a yes then” Nathaniel said.

“But what will I do if he loves Roxanna” Jennifer said.

“Then just let it be” Nathaniel said.

Jennifer bade her goodnight to Nathaniel before walking out of his room. He laid on his bed and smiled as Roxanna came to his mind.

“She’s cute though” He thought as he drifted off to sleep.

________Next morning.

Roxanna got up very early. She brushed her teeth and took bath. She walked out of the bathroom and rubbed her cream before wearing a white top and a black jeans with white sneakers. She brushed her hair and styled it then applied her lip gloss before walking out of the room with her purse.

She went downstairs and saw her new family having breakfast.

“Good morning everyone” She greeted.

“Roxanna, you’re up early today. We don’t have classes today why the hurry” Suzy said.

“Actually I have to go somewhere important right now. See you guys later, love y’all” She said and walked out of the house.

She entered her white Ferrari and drove off heading to the police station.

She parked it and came out of it. Immediately the passerby saw her scre-ms where heard as they rushed to her side demanding for autograph, picture all the likes

She took pictures and signed autograph as many as possible before leaving them as she entered the police station.

“Excuse me, can I meet the commissioner?” She asked to a cop.

“Sure Miss Martinez, he’s in his office right now. Its the office just there” He said while pointing at a door.

“Thanks” She replied and went to it

She knocked on it gently.

“Come in” A voice said.

She opened the door and walked in.

“Good morning commissioner” Roxanna greeted

“Good morning miss, please have a seat.” He said and she did as hr requested.

“How may I help you?” The commissioner asked.

“My name is Roxanna Martinez, I’m the daughter of Mr Martinez” She said and his eyes w¡dened

“I want to ask if they was a dangerous mission my father was involved in before he died” Roxanna asked.

“Yes, he was in charge of apprehending some drug smugglers but they got away.” He said

“They got away? Do you know any thing about it, like the location, the name of the person, pictures. anything” Roxanna asked.

“Well he told me that they were located at a cafeteria down the street” Commissioner said.

“Okay, thanks. Have a nice day” She stood up and made to go.

“I don’t know why you’re asking all these but please be careful” He said.

Roxanna nodded and walked out of the office. She boarded her car and drove to the direction he told her.

She got down and truly it was cafeteria. She entered in it and walked to a waiter.

“Excuse me?” She said.

The waiter gasped as he saw Roxanna standing in front of him.

“How…may I help you?” The waiter stuttered.

“Can I meet the owner of this cafeteria?” Roxanna asked with a smile.

“Sorry but the owner of the club is abroad. It’s his nephew who’s in charge right now but unfortunately he’s away” He said.

“Okay, I’ll just come back another time.” Roxanna said and walked out of the cafeteria with an angry look on his face.

“Fk!” She muttered.

“What are you so angry about?” Someone said from behind her.

She turned to see Nathaniel.

“Hi Nathaniel” She said.

“Hey Roxy, never knew you drink in this cafeteria. This is actually my favorite” He said with a smile.

“Really? Actually I came in search of the owner, I have some unfinished business with the person” Roxanna said.

“Okay, I’m kinda bored. Let’s hang out would you?” Nathaniel said.

“Sure!!” She replied.

They boarded her car and drove off.

After Suzy finished her breakfast, she took her bath and dressed before walking out of the house.

She went to a boutique inorder to buy some clothes when suddenly someone snatched her purse and made to out of the shop.

He caught him by the arm and twist it to his back then pinned him on the wall

“You think you can steal my purse and go free?” Suzy said.

She took back her purse and made the person face her.

She narrowed her eyes as she saw a cute guy with greenish eyes.

The guy stared down at her with a cold expression.

“Who are you?” She asked.

“I don’t talk to dump people” He replied and looked away.

Suzy fumed with rage as he said that.

“Do you know who I am? I can…”

“What will you do apart from calling your dumb dad and sending me to jail” He cut her off

Suzy stared at him, speechless. Its the first time someone spoke so rudely to her.

She released him and looked down.

“Why did you do that?” She asked.

“I don’t speak to dumb people” He snapped and walked away.

CHAPTER 10🥀

Mason was in his own house watching TV as usual when someone rang the bell.

The maids went and opened the door.

“I hope it’s not one of those darn reporters.” He thought as he watched his TV

“Hey Mason”

He heard a voice which which almost made him fall from his couch. He looked up and was surprised to see Yvonne.

“Yvonne?” He said.

“I was just passing by and I decided to say hi” She said.

“Oh okay, how you doing?” Mason asked.

“I’m doing good. I think I’m gradually overcoming my fear of men” She said happily.

“Well that’s good then” Mason said with a smile.

“I’ll be leaving now. Goodbye” She said and turned to leave.

Mason smiled and concentrated back on his TV. Yvonne stopped on her track and turned to Mason.

*I want to know how it feels like* Yvonne thought

With a determined look on her face, she walked up to him and stood in front of him, blocking the TV. He looked up at her and was caught by surprise when Yvonne pressed her l-ips on his.

Shock was small compared to what he felt right now. He looked at her face and closed his eyes as he kssed her back.

Yvonne came back to her senses and pulled away she stood up and dashed out of his house. Mason looked at her disappearing figure and then touched his l-ips.

“She kssed me” He whispered.

He smiled and laid on the couch, licking his l-ips.

Roxanna and Nathaniel were seated on a restaurant as they ate lunch together.

Roxanna ate hungrily, not minding if there’s someone with her. Nathaniel are slowly as he stared at her eating with so much appetite.

He chuckled and concentrate on his food. After some minutes he was done with his food and he resumed in watching her.

*I kinda love her personality, she doesn’t pretend. She is who she is and doesn’t care to hide it* Nathaniel thought.

He noticed some sauce on the corner of her l-ips so he brought his hand to her face as he wiped off the sauce.

Roxanna froze as his hand made contact with her face. She mistakenly swallowed a piece of meat without chewing on it as he stared at him.

Nathaniel finished wiping off the sauce and made to withdraw his hands but he stopped as his gaze landed on her l-ips, he stared at it for so long.

*What are you thinking Nate* His inner voice said.

He quickly withdrew his hands from her face. They was a moment of silence before Roxanna resumed her meal.

Kelvin and Jennifer were seated on a bench in the park as they watched the people passing.

“Jenny?” Kelvin called.

“Yes?” Jennifer replied.

“I know you’re wondering why I called you here. I wanted to tell you something, you know you’re my best friend and I like looking forward to you for answers. I wanted to tell you that I’m planning to let my feelings know to the person I love but I don’t really know if she’ll accept or not” Kelvin said.

Jennifer nearly cried but she kept it in. She turned to Kelvin and faked a smile.

“Well it’s better to tell her and know what her answer will be rather than living in suspense” She said.

“You’re right Jenny, I’ll tell her this weekend. Thanks for your advice” He said.

“What are friends for” She replied with a blank expression.

“I need to go right now. I have some racing to do” He said and put on his shades and nose mask before walking away so as to avoid attention.

Jennifer stood up and went her way heading to Catherine house.

After their meal, Roxanna and Nathaniel were driving home. Suddenly something caught Roxanna eyes. It was a poster with a lady on it, she was almost unclad on it. She recognized the lady to be Gina.

She stopped the car and stared at the post.

“Nate, who’s that lady on that poster over there” Roxanna asked, staring at the poster.

“Oh, her name is Gina Perez. She’s a well known pr-stitute” Nathaniel said.

“Do you know where she works?” She asked with her eyes not leaving the poster.

“Well yeah, she works in a club known as Casanova club it’s also a brothel. It’s located at street 90.” He said.

“Okay” She replied.

“Why asking, don’t tell me you are…”

“Shut up. I don’t swing the other way, I’m normal” Roxanna snapped which made Nathaniel laugh.

“Alright, come on let’s get going” Nathaniel said and Roxanna ignited the car engine zooming off.

She dropped him home and greeted Jennifer before driving home.

___________Night

Roxanna was sitting on a seat in her room as she did her makeup. Her objective was to dress like a man today.

She gummed a mustache below her nose and wore some lenses. Since her hair was already short, she styled it into a man’s own.

She then bandaged her br-ast inorder to hide her feminality before wearing a shirt then a black p-nts and finally a black suit.

She walked out of her room and on her way she saw Suzy.

“How do I look?” Roxanna asked.

“Who are you?” Suzy said confused.

“It’s me, Roxanna” She replied with a giggle.

“Wow, you look completely different. Why dress like a male” Suzy asked checking her out.

“Remember my mission is to avenge the death of my family right? I’ll start by avenging my sister’s dead before going to my parents” She replied.

“I’ll have to go now, I’ll tell you everything once I get back home” She replied and walked out of the house then boarded a car before driving off.

She parked in front of the club Nathaniel told her and then she walked in the club. She was surprised to see Nathaniel at the club and anger and jealousy rose in her as she saw him with sluts around him as he drank.

*I thought he quited this life?* Roxanna thought.

She diverted her gaze and then sat down on an empty table but she kept stealing glances at him. It pained her to see how the women where car-ssing his chest and him he was busy smiling at them. What could she do,,,she was on a mission.

Suddenly a lady walked up stage and the men went wild with shouts because of her body. Roxanna smiled as she saw who it was

“Gina” She said with a smirk on her face.

Someone then spoke:

“And now, presenting to you the star of the club, our ravaging beauty…”the black diamond” He said and the men went wild with shouts

Roxanna clapped her hands as she glared at her.

“Look at those legs, those bum. I’m sure you wanna take her to your b.ed” He continued as Gina cat walked on the stage.

“How much for one night!” The presentator finally said.

“1000$” A man said.

“2500$” Another said

“10000$” Another said.

They kept quiet for sometimes.

“10000$ 1, 2, 3” The presentator said.

Roxanna raised her hands

“500000$” She said and no one spoke again

“Looks like we have a winner, please deposit your money and come and collect your gift” The representator said

Roxanna stood up and starred at Nathaniel. Nathaniel stared at her confused by why a man was staring at him. She looked away and walked toward the direction a waiter showed her. She deposited the money and was guided to a room.

She sat down on the bed and not long after the door opened. She already knew who it was, no need to turn back.

“Hey handsome” Gina spoke sed-ctively.

Roxanna kept her back turned as she tried to surpress the anger rising in her.

“Looks like you’re the shy type. Don’t worry, I’ll make you feel better” Gina said and tried to remove her coat.

She turned and caught her neck and then pinned her on the bed.

She smiled $eductively.

“Looks like you’re the savage type, I love it” She said and smiled.

“Will you stop this nonsense, I’m not here to play games with you. I’m here to know where your boss is”Roxanna said as she tighten her grip on her neck

That’s when it dawned on Gina that this wasn’t a joke.

“Who are you?” Gina said as the grip on her neck was choking her.

With one hand she removed her mustache and and disheveled her hair. Gina gasped as she saw her face, she was striking image of Camella.

“Camella?” Gina said.

“No, I’m here sister. I was there when you brought those monsters to our house who raped her till death” Roxanna said as she tighten her grip on her neck.

“You’re choking me” Gina said

She released her and walked to the door then locked it. She turned to Gina and what greeted her face was a vase which was smashed on her head.

Roxanna winced in pain as she held her head. Gina made to open the door but stopped as she felt something touching her head.

“Move a single inch and I won’t hesitate to blow up your useless brain” Roxanna said with a gun aimed at Gina’s head.

“Okay, I’ll talk but please don’t kill me” Gina said trembling.

“Good now sit on the bed” Roxanna said and she quickly obeyed.

“Start talking” Roxanna said.

“His name is Mr Lance Jenkins, he’s the owner of this club. And also he is involved in wo.men tra.fficking. He kidnaps women and $ell them to rich men. That’s all what I know about him” Gina said.

“Do you know where he takes those women to?” Roxanna asked.

“I don’t really know”Gina said.

Roxanna thought for some minutes before smiling satisfactorily.

“Gina, tell me. I’m I beautiful?” Roxanna asked and Gina looked at her confusedly.

She nodded.

“Yes, you’re very beautiful” Gina said.

“Good.” She said amdand kept back her gun and did back her hair then gummed back her mustache.

“I’ll leave now and if you dare tell on me, I’ll hunt you down. Believe me, I will do it” She said and opened the door then left.

She boarded her car and drove home. She walked up to her room and change then got her wound treated before going to bed.

_________Next morning

Roxanna woke as she heard someone panging on her door.

“Who’s it?” She asked sleepily.

“It’s me Suzy. Open up!!” Suzy said.

Roxanna stood up and opened the door for her, she got in.

“So tell me, what happened?” Suzy asked.

They sat down on her bed and Roxanna told her everything that happened.

“So what will be your next move then?” Suzy asked.

“The only way to get to him is I let myself kidnapped tonight” Roxanna said and Suzy gasped.

“Are you crazy? You’re playing with fire” Suzy said.

“I know but that’s the only way possible.” Roxanna said.

“Okay, be careful okay?” Suzy said.

“Thanks. I have to go and meet Jennifer, let me take my bath and go” Roxanna said and stood up

She walked to her bathroom and took a bath then dressed back her wound before walking out of the bathroom.

She rubbed her cream and dressed in a yellow gown that ended above her knees then she wore a jacket before walking out of her room.

She boarded one of her cars and drove to Jennifer’s house. She rang the bell and a made opened the door.

“Excuse me, is Jennifer in there?” Roxanna asked.

“Yes ma’am. Please come in, I’ll inform her you’re looking for her.” The maid opened the door for her and she walked in.

She sat on the couch while waiting for Jennifer. The maid came back

“She asked you to meet her upstairs” The maid said.

She walked upstairs to her room and opened the door. They hugged each other and settled on the bed.

“So what do you want to tell me?” Jennifer asked.

She told her everything and her plans of being kidnapped.

“That’s dangerous” Jennifer said worriedly.

“Yeah, that’s why I need your help” Roxanna said.

Jennifer looked at her suspiciously.

“You’re good in hacking and all the like right? I need you to have my back, that is I’ll send you the location of the area and all the like. If I don’t return back here after four days you send their location to G empire” Roxanna said.

“Okay, please be careful” Jennifer said and Roxanna nodded.

“Alright I need to go now me and the girls have some interview to attend to concerning our music band. See you later” Roxanna said and walked out of her room.

She made to go downstairs but she bumped into Nathaniel.

She looked at him with cold expression on her face.

“Oh hi Roxy” Nathaniel said with a smile.

“Hi” She said and made to leave but he held her back and made her face him.

“What’s wrong with the long face, are you mad at me?” Nathaniel asked.

“What were you doing at that club with those ladies?” She asked.

“How did you know? Don’t tell me you followed me?” Nathaniel asked already annoyed.

“I did, and I saw you with them. Don’t you know you just…”

“Please keep your scolding to yourself. I don’t like people meddling in my life, it’s non of your business what I do with my life. Stop acting like I owe you something” Nathaniel snapped.

Roxanna looked down obviously hurt and angry.

“I’m sorry for meddling in your life, I never knew it was a sin to care about someone. From henceforth I’ll know my limits.” She said and turned to leave.

“And also, I’ll be away for some days. Not like you even cared” She said and left
