GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL*

Asha arrived to school early today and she was happy about that.

She walked over to her locker and opened it, trying to get her text books out but, she was surprised by what she saw.

Her locker was filled with egg shells and sour milk, it seems someone threw those things in,side and it was smelling badly which made her held her nose tightly.

She looked at her books in the locker as she bit her l-ips so hærd, trying to stop herself from crying.

She remembered how she worked hærd to get those books. When, she deprived Tara of candy rainbow just to buy these text books, now they are ruined.

Otto was heading to class, when he caught a glance of Asha and he immediately walked up to her.

” Oh my God what’s that smell?” He said as he spoke through his nose, he was also holding his nose tightly.

” My books are ruined, who must have done this?” She asked no one in particular.

” It must be the work of the BBC girls.” He said and she turned swiftly looking at him, with a slight frown on her forehead.

” BBC girls? Who are they?.”

” What!, You don’t know them?” He exclaimed but quickly closed his mouth.

She stared at him like he’s gone nuts but, he didn’t bother as he just shrugged.

” Well, they are the British broadcaster girls, which is an abbreviation of BBC… They mostly get on the lower kids nerves because they are from a wealthy home. You just need to be careful around them and you will be safe. ” He explained and Ash scoffed.

” I don’t get it, so what did I do to them? I think it’s high time I teach those girls a lesson.” She said and started heading to the class when Otto dragged her by the arm.

” No! You don’t want to get into trouble trust me, those girls are demons.” He said and she could tell he was serious.

” But, my books… ”

” Don’t worry, I will lend you mine… Let’s get to class.” He said as he pulled her along.

Lunchtime*

Durations were over and everyone left to go get lunch, of cause Asha wasn’t excluded.

She got her lunch and found an empty table to eat to her satisfaction, since no one wanted to share a table with her. Except Otto but, he was busy with an extra class, so she decided to eat alone.

Almost immediately the BBC girls walked over to her table. They sat opposite her but she didn’t bother to look up, she kept eating.

By this time, everyone In the cafeteria has stopped eating. They were waiting to see, what will happen next.

” Did you like our little surprise?” Once of the girl’s asked but Asha didn’t budge, she continued eating her meal.

” I bet your locker smells like shit right now.” Another one said and Asha hissed loudly.

” Did you just…”

” Can you please just shut the f**k up and let me eat in peace?” Asha asked cutting one of the girl off.

The three girls got infuriated and stood up but, Asha cared less as she continued to eat her meal, without giving them a glance.

Suddenly, Asha felt something liquid on her hair as it dropped down her face. It was red chilli sauce.

Asha couldn’t take it anymore as she stood up and landed a dirty slap on the girl’s cheek and everyone in the cafeteria exclaimed.

👥 Oh, my God…I wonder what is going to happen now.

👥 This new girl just got herself into big trouble. Nobody messes with their family.

👥 This new girl is fire…I love her vibes!

” Did you just…”

” Shut that dirty h0le you call a mouth and listen to me carefully, this should be the last time you will try something this nasty to me or else, you will regret it. ” WATCH YOUR STEP!” Asha said and made to leave the cafeteria when Leo blocked the door.

She gave him an hærd glare and he moved aside creating a space for her, while She hastily walked out of the cafeteria.

” Oh my God, prudy did you see that? That new girl is a badass.” Allison said and Prudent let out a chuckle.

” Of cause, she has always been a badass and a survivor, she doesn’t give up easily and she’s very stubborn.” Prudent said with a light smile, completely forgotten that Allison is there.

” You are talking like you know her.” Allison said and she laughed nervously.

” No, I don’t know her… didn’t you see what she did? She’s really a badass, let’s get to class.” Prudent replied and started walking away leaving Allison behind.

” That was weird.” Allison muttered. ” Wait for me!.” Allison yelled and ran after her.

” I heard you fought with the british broadcasters.” Otto asked and she chuckled.

” Nope, I just gave them a warning and trust me, they won’t come close to me again.” She said with confidence.

” Alright.” He replied with a smile.

They were actually on their way home, since school was over.

She had changed into her casual wear already and was ready to go visit Tara in the hospital, but she didn’t have any money and that made her worried.

” Why do you always change into casual wear before going home?” He asked.

” Well, those british broadcasters poured red chili on me and I had to change, besides I do part time jobs.” She explained and he nodded in affirmation.

” Ok, Asha but why do I feel like you have so many secrets.”

” Well, everyone has a secret…” She trailed on her words before facing him.

” Can I ask you for a favor?”

” Sure, shoot.” He replied.

” Can you lend me 10,000$?” She asked.

THE MORRIS MANSION*

Prudent arrived home and met her mom in the sitting room going through some files as usual.

” Am home.” She said and started heading upstairs when the voice of her mother stopped her.

” Why didn’t you tell me that Asha attends our school?” She asked and Prudent scoffed.

” Why? You want to get me transferred or get Asha kicked out? Tell me.”

Prudent was getting furious already, though she doesn’t talk to her sister but seeing her sister everyday made her happy, that she knew for sure.

” I asked you a question Prudent and you are supposed to answer me!” Mrs morris yelled and Prudent flinched slightly.

” What do you want huh? Tell me!” Prudent retorted an her mother was shocked. She had never spoken to her in such manner before.

” Prudent don’t you…”

” Do you know what Asha is passing through? She needs help but no one is there to help her and don’t you dare try anything funny or I will do something nasty, I mean it!” She said and her mother slapped her so hærd earning a gasp from her.

” Don’t speak to me In such manner, am your mother!”

Immediately Prudent heard that, she laughed hysterically and scoffed.

” Mother indeed, a mother that cannot help her own daughter, tell me, how is she a mother? A mother that cannot stand up for her daughter all in the name of wealth and family image, tell me, how is she a mother?!” Prudent yelled with tears gushing out of her eyes as she continued.

” I can’t even talk to my sister all in the name of family image…it pains me mom…it does and I get hurt each time…I couldn’t even save my sister from those brats today during lunch.”

” Prudent you need to lis…”

” Don’t call my name, it’s your fault, you are the devil here…you disowned her just because she got pregnant, is pregnancy a crime?!, You will regret this mom, just know that you will…I hate you!” She yelled and ran upstairs while Mrs morris ran after her.

Leo who was just coming in, heard everything as he sighed softly.

” Such is life.” He muttered and walked in,side.

SUNSHINE CITY HOSPITAL*

Asha was seated on a chair close to Tara’s bed as she held her hand.

She car-ssed her tiny hand softly and a tear dropped from her eye, she quickly wiped it and sniffed in before facing Tara again.

A drip was placed on her hand and she was finding it hærd to breath as her chest heaved high and low.

Asha drew close to her and placed a k-ss on her forehead.

Her face was pale and her body was so warm. It’s been two days she’s been like this way and Asha was so worried.

But she was happy she had paid the full money and they have started the full treatment on her.

Earlier that day after school, Otto lended her the money and she promised to pay back by end of the month.She was so happy he helped her, he was more than a friend to her.

” Baby, am here now, please wake up. You know I can’t live without you right?” She asked but got no response as usual. She sniffed in and continued.

” I love you so much, mommy loves you a lot. When will you wake up huh? Will you wake up when I bring your daddy? Am so sorry am always lying to you…I don’t even know your dad…. ” She said as she trailed on her words, she brought out a pendant and smiled as she car-ssed the name written on it ” Josh”

” All I know is the name of your dad is Josh and I might remember him, if I see him.”

She was still car-ssing the pendant since, It’s been long since she laid her eyes on it. The pendant reminds her of her past painful experience.

She kept staring at the pendant as her mind walked down the rusty, old painful memory lane.

***FLASHBACK…16 February 2019***

Asha stepped into the club dressing all black as usual. She went to the counter serving alcohol, after all that has been her life for few months now.

Her family needs money and she needs to make money to put food on their table. Being a sixteen years old, she was tall, beautiful and very mature.

Most times people would think that she’s up to twenty years old.

She would use her beauty to lure boys and deceive them in giving her money, after that she will run and most times delete their numbers from her phone.

And she needed to make money now, since her mom has been planning on leaving the house by taking them along.

He had refused to go at first because she wanted to take care of her father who is crippled.

Ever since, her father got into an accident and got crippled, his business fell and now they barely eat twice a day. That’s why their mother wants to leave.

” You are pretty.” A guy said as he drank alcohol from his glass. It’s obvious he was very drunk as his eyes had turned red.

” Do you need more drink?” Asha asked as the professional she is, ignoring him totally.

” Sure, how much for a night?”

” Am sorry, but am taken.” Asha replied and turned to serve other customers.

It was a club, a hot one but classy, she knows she wasn’t supposed to be there, but she had no choice. She worked so hærd to get this job because it has good pay. It’s risky but has good pay.

Suddenly a guy who was dressed in all black entered the club. It seems like he’s been crying, bit Asha cared less, it wasn’t her business anyways. She always has her own issue to take care of.

” Can I get a glass of alcohol?” The guy who was dressed in black asked as he settled down on one of the chairs.

” Sure, it’s my job anyways.” She replied as she gave him a glass of an alcohol.

Thirty minutes later***

The two laughed hærd as Asha kept hitting the bar counter.

The guy dressed in black was a very funny person, even though he was drunk, he told her lots of funny things which were true but funny.

The club was getting empty by the minute, Asha glanced at the wall clock and realized it was 10:15pm and she sighed deeply.

She couldn’t wait to go home,her younger sister will be waiting for her, she always waits for her despite the fact that Asha comes late, that’s how strong their love and bond is. she will have to go home by 11:30pm because by that time, everyone must have gone home and she will close up.

” So tell me, why are all dressed in black?” Asha asked and the guy belched loudly before turning to her.

” I went…for my mot.. her’s funeral.” He said. The excessive alcohol content in his brain slurring his words.

” Oh, am sorry about that.” She apologised and he waved his hand off.

” Nah, don’t apologise, it’s not your fault, it’s mine. I couldn’t save her…she was… dying and I couldn’t save her… It seems being an illegitimate child is a curse.” He said and started hitting his head on the table.

” Sir please stop, don’t injure yourself.” She said but he was sleeping already as he laid his head on the counter.

Even though he was drunk, he looked very handsome and cute when sleeping.

Few minutes the madame of the bar came and she gasped at the sight of Josh.

” Asha are you crazy?” The madame asked and she shook her head sideways.

” No, madame.”

” Then why did you keep this young man here? Do you know who he his? Take him to one of the guest room. He’s an important client.” The madame said.

” Ok madame.”

” Then, afterwards you can go home, don’t stay late today, it’s dangerous for a child like you… besides I have an important client today…so I will close up.” The woman said as she blushed so hærd. Asha knew what she meant as she also chuckled.

” Thank you madame.” Asha said and walked over to Josh, she lifted him up and put his hand around her shoulder but he seems to have much weight as he almost weighed her down.

She entered one of the guest’s room and dropped him on the bed.

It was indeed a guest room, it was neatly arranged and very classy…it was for the Vip clients only and this young man was one of them.

Asha removed his shoes and laid him properly, she tucked him in the duvet and covered him. This has always been her job as a bar attender.

She was done and was heading for the door, when she felt a strong force pulled her and she landed on the bed.

She gasped when she saw Josh over her and he pinned her hands on the bed. He was still under the influence of alcohol and his eyes was filled with pure lust while staring at her.

It seems he wanted something to calm him down and this beautiful damsel was sent to his aid.

” Sir please, just let me go.” She said as she struggled to push him but he was more stronger than her as he sighed her down.

He started to place k-sses on her neck and that caused a unique spark on her body.

He was performing magic on her body when he nibbled on her earlobe and she tried grasping for air. The feeling was intense.

” My V-rginity…please don’t do this… mommy please save me.” She whimpered.

The next morning***

Asha woke up as the sunlight shone directly on her face.

She used her hand to cover her face as she sat upright. She was the only on in the room.

She gasped when she saw herself in,side the guest room and that was when the memories of last night occured to her.

She checked her unclad self under the duvet as blood stained on it and she burst into tears.

She had lost something that was precious to her to an unknown guy, she had lost her pride as woman and that shattered her into pieces.

She took a glance on the table and that was when she saw a bundle of cash alongside with a pendant.

‘ At least he kept so many cash, not many are this lucky’ she thought.

She carried the cash and a note fell, she picked it up and read out loud. ” Am sorry”.

She dropped the note and carried the pendant. ” Josh” she called as she car-ssed the pendant softly.

***END OF FLASHBACK***

She sighed deeply as she car-ssed the pendant softly.

” My life is so pathetic” she said and took a deep breath before she continued.

” An high schooler in the day and worker and mom at night.”

She kept the pendant back in her handbag and laid her head on the bed still holding Tara’s… gradually she drifted off to sleep.
