CHAPTER 28
” Who’s Michelle?” Valerie asked
“My crush” Robin replied
“You have a crush?” Sally said unbelievably
Philip and Melanie are still kssing
” Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” Robin said
“My jeez!, You’re too young to have a crush” Valerie said
” Don’t tell me I’m young, so far I’m human and I have a heart, I’m free..I’m not a kid” Robin replied, rolling eyes
” Robin you’re seven” Valerie said
“Says an eighteen years old girl who still burns coffee water” Robin replied
” eish!, Robin!” Valerie said, holding her forehead
Robin smirked while Susan and Sally can’t help but laugh out loud
Melanie and Philip later finished their lovie dovie and they all entered the building to check it out
It’s sure they can’t finish walking through it even in thirty minutes time, it’s big and magnificent
They just checked some places and later went back home…
Night**
“Phil you really don’t know what you’ve done for me, I feel like falling at your feet and worsh¡pping you” Melanie said with her head on his chest
He’s gently stroking her hair
“I’m not God so stop saying that, anything I do for you, you deserve it as my sweetest heart” he replied
” I love love love love you Phil” she said
” I can’t trade you for anything sweetheart….so when do you plan on starting to run it?” He asked
” After our wedding” she replied
” Cool, sweetheart” he said
” Yes?”
” Should I announce our relationsh¡p to the public?” He asked
” No…not yet” she replied
” We’re getting married soon you know” he said
” Yeah but..
“Are you still scared?” He asked
“No” she replied and started picking on her nails
” You know you can’t tell that lie successfully, you’re picking on your nails, a verification that you’re scared” he said, sitting up
She made her face him
“You’re scared that I’ll hurt you?” He asked
“That I’ll leave you or get tired of you?” He asked
” No” she replied
” Then…
“It’s the usual nervousness ladies get when they’re about to get married” she interrupted and tried her best to stop picking on her nails
” Are you sure?”
She nodded
He pulled her back to his chest and started rubbing her back
“Sleep like a baby on my chest” he said
“Sleep tight and dream of your sweetheart” she replied
He slept off some minutes later while she kept thinking about the book…

Valerie can’t stop smiling at herself, having same bracelet with him makes the connection she feels with him become more strong
To think that the guy who once treated her harshly is the same guy she’s wearing the same bracelet with, it’s too overwhelming
She picked her phone and dialled his number, he picked immediately
“Retarded* he said, sounding like someone eating
“Grumpy Bear, watssup?”
“Food” he replied
“What are you eating?” She asked
” Noodles” he replied
” Don’t you ever get tired of it?, Same thing you kept eating in New York” she replied
” Well it’s my best food cos it’s easy to cook and as for bread, it’s my second best cos you just need to add butter to taste” he replied

” Weird, I know..I’m a weirdo” he replied with a silent giggle
“Tell me your house address” she said
“Why?’
” You know my house right?, I should at least know your address” she replied
“not far from the archery we met at the other time” he replied
“So your house is not far from school and yet you’re always late” she said
” It doesn’t matter, I’m brilliant” he replied
” That c*cky attitude again” she muttered
He laughed slowly
” I live in the tenth house after the archery by the right” he said
” You mean I should start counting houses if I decide to come say hi one day” she replied

” Grumpy Bear” she scoffed jokingly
” Retarded….I want to ask you something” he said
” Sure”
” What do you dream of becoming in future?” He asked
“Medical doctor” she replied
“I thought you were gonna say mathematician” he replied
” F*ck mathematics, I’m not ready to calculate for the rest of my life” she said
“I have same ambition” he said
Her eyes w¡dened
“Really?, You dream to be a medical doctor too?”
“Yeah, it has always been my dream to save lives, watching my mom die of cancer is the worse thing that has ever happened to me… Right there when I was mourning her death, I decided to be a focused Medical doctor who saves lives” her replied
” Wow!, I’m happy” she replied happily
“What plans do you have tomorrow?, It’s Saturday” he said
“Sit at home all day, or go see dad” she replied
“We can go see your dad together and then go have fun ” he said
” Yeah!, Sure I’m in! ” She replied quickly
” Then see ya! ” He replied and hung up
” Yes! ” She exclaimed…
Next day, Glow studios**
Philip came out of the car with Robin and Melanie in front of the big studio and without minding what anyone will say, he carried Robin and held Melanie’s hand with the other hand while his four guards followed behind
They went in like that and people can’t help but scre-m…

They ignored the comments and went in fully..
Mr Charles the owner of the studio welcomed them happily
The driver brought in their bags containing the clothes for the shoot
“Welcome Mr Albert, it’s good to have you back after seven years” Mr Charles said
” Thanks” Philip replied shortly with a smile
Mr Charles gave Melanie a glance
“My wife to be” Philip said slowly
Charles smiled
“I knew it!…. She’s so beautiful, this way sir” Charles said, leading them into the VIP inner studio that has already been designed for them…his guards stayed by the door
“Just what I want” Philip said…
“It’s surprising that since you left, no one is up to the task of using this inner VIP s₱0t, you gat the money” Mr Charles said, rubbing his beards
” Money lover” Philip replied
Charles laughed loudly
A lady came in, she has excess makeup on her face and she has long lashes fixed, her gown is barely covering her nkedness, she came in with four girls, they look like attendants…
“The best makeup artist in the city right now, Ginger is her name, if you like her makeup, you can employ her as your personal makeup artist” Charles said
Melanie scanned Ginger from head toll toe and she’s not contented with what she’s wearing at all
To her, she came here to $educe than make-up
“I’m not in agreement with how she’s dressed” Philip said
” Oh… That?, But….
“My jacket” Ginger interrupted and one of her girls gave her a long jacket which she put on over the short gown
“Better” Philip replied
“I’ll do Mr Albert’s makeup while my most professional girl here will do Miss…..
“What’s her name?” Ginger asked
“Mrs Albert, she’s my wife to be” Philip replied and Ginger almost choked on nothing, thanks to one of the girls who offered water
“So like I was saying.. I’ll do your makeup Mr Albert while she’ll do your wife to be makeup” Ginger said
They sat and work started immediately on their faces
Robin kept watching everything like an hawk
Ginger kept stylishly touching Philip’s l-ips during the makeup, sometimes she holds his hand and tells him it’s to check his real body color to know the type of l¡pstick that’ll match, she did that up to five times and Melanie kept watching with jealousy
“Why will he even let her touch his hand not to talk of touching his l-ips during the makeup” she thought
Robin stepped in and looked up at Ginger…
” Ion care if you are Ginger or Curry, don’t you dare touch my dad’s hand again and if you mistakenly or knowingly touch his l-ips again, I’ll kick you hærd” he said seriously
Ginger looked at her and rolled eyes at him , he rolled eyes back
Well she stopped doing what Robin warned her on…
The one working on Melanie finished work since it’s light makeup, she started dolling up Robin’s face too
He already has a baby face so he just needs little touches
Melanie and Robin went in,side the changing room and when Ginger finished work on Philip’s face, he checked the mirror and smiled
“Just my type, I love it” he said
Ginger smiled widely
” I’m glad you do” she said and bit her lower lip sed-ctively…
Philip went into the changing room to change too and Melanie was acting strange althrough
They shot the family shoots first with the three of them
They changed up to four times and the pictures kept clicking
Melanie looks hot!
Philip looks dangerously handsome
Robin looks extra cute
After taking the family shots, then Robin snapped with only Melanie, he also snapped with only Philip
Melanie still kept up the strange act when it’s time to snap with Philip
“Hold him tighter Miss Melanie, let the crazy feelings appear on your face” Charles said
Melanie obeyed and the shot was cool
Phil Wondered why she’s being like that
Their last shot together was taken and Melanie made to walk away but he suddenly pulled her back and k-ssed her right there, taking her by surprise
Charles the sharp shooter got it
“I snapped that, how cute!’ he exclaimed as Philip let go of Melanie…
“Why are you dull?” He asked
“Nothing” she replied
Philip worriedly changed into another dress and the design of the place was quickly changed when it’s time for Philip’s personal comeback shots
He changed up to ten times and that took over an hour cos his make-up will always need retouch each time…
Seeing Ginger touching his face is even annoying to Melanie but she kept it all in
Two hours later**
They’re done with the shots and are heading out of the studio when Ginger came rushing again…
“Mr Albert, since you’ve made me your personal makeup artist, it’s always cool to have your contact right?” She said
Melanie grabbed Philip’s hand…
“Oh….get it from Charles, Charles gave me yours already” he said
Melanie left his hand and went into the car with Robin
Philip went in and throughout the drive back home, she never spoke to him

Survivors hospitals**
Valerie and Dwayne entered her dad’s private ward and Valerie sat beside his bed while Dwayne stood…
“Dad” she said, holding his hand, it moved slightly
“Your second daughter is here.. how have you been?” She said, smiling
” I hope you wake up soon, I really want to see you scold me again anytime I bath with cold water during spring” she said
” I’d love to see you telling us you love us more than mother and I’d love to see mum getting jealous cos of that”
” I’d love to see you taking care of us with mum again..dad wake up soon” she said slowly, fighting back her tears
Dwayne touched her shoulders and that calmed her down
“He’ll be fine” he said silently
They later left the hospital and Dwayne started the drive to the city
“He scolds you if you bath with cold water during spring?” Dwayne asked, suddenly stopping the car
” Yes, cos I’m not tolerant to cold so I catch cold easily, you know it rains a lot and the atmospheric condition is usually cool during spring….so he’ll always insist I bath with warm water so i won’t catch a cold” she replied
” Oh” he said as his mind drifted to when he once made her kneel in the rain
Guilt enveloped him Immediately
“I’m sorry” he said slowly
“Why?”
“I once made you kneel in the rain you know” he said
She smiled widely
” Though I caught great flu that day but it’s fine, I’ve forgotten about it a long time ago” she replied
” Back then i was a guy who believes that transferring aggression will make me feel better, but I was wrong….I’m sorry for pushing you too…you know that day I had a fight with Darien and despite the fact that it was his fault, all the blames were heaped on me.. that’s why I turned aggressive that day too…I’m so sorry, I don’t deserve to be so close to you today but you even made friends with me…I’m amazed” he said
She smiled and inhaled softly
” It’s ok, I’ve forgiven you since long ago…so we’re fine” she replied
” Thanks Val” he said, looking at her
She returned the look and he winked
They both laughed as he start the car and the drive started
They got to a fun fair and stopped the car, they entered the place and got ice creams first
They ate ice creams as they entered the place, watching the colourful beautiful things In display, a comedian is performing and people are laughing and enjoying themselves at the same time but they prefer walking around
They finished the ice cream at the same time and looked at each other
“Cake” they both said
They got cupcakes and ate too as they continued walking round the place…
They climbed more than hundred stairs till they came to a small room with amazing design in display
A lamp which looks exactly like Aladdin lamp but an upgraded one cos this has starry little lights , lights that has the shape of stars are blinking, you’ll think you’re in the middle of real stars
Then a big bulb in shape of an half moon is hanging up
And a red blinking light
The Walls are made of shinny things and there’s a red carpet on the floor…
“Whoa!, Dwayne what are we seeing?” Valerie said
“Paradise, Val this is too beautiful, anyone who designed this is a pro” he replied
” I know right?, I feel like I’m in the middle of a star sea” she replied, jumping around
” Total paradise” Dwayne said again
They suddenly heard the sound of a shutting door
They looked at each other and rushed to the door
It’s locked!
They started hitting the door severally
“Someone open the door!”
“We’re here!”
“Open this door!”
They shouted for more than five minutes
” Fk!” Valerie spat
“We’re stuck in here till tomorrow morning” Dwayne said slowly, sitting on the ground…

Philip just finished making the live video on his page and barely ten minutes, he got over a million views
He smiled before shutting down the laptop, he’s actually in his practice room
He picked his writing book and looked at some lines of the new song he has written down
He smiled and dropped the book before leaving the room
Leo’s flight got cancelled and shifted to tomorrow so he’ll be arriving tomorrow evening
Phillip left for his room and met Melanie sleeping on the bed already
She was acting strange since the shoot and it’s rather confusing
He sat beside her and touched her arm but she shifted
“Like seriously?’ he said
She slowly sat up and faced him
” What?’ she asked, not smiling
” Did I do something wrong?” He asked
“Of course you did!, Why were you allowing that Ginger of a girl to touch your hand, and worse, she touched your l-ips and you even told her to get your contact from Charles” she said, jealousy is obvious in her voice
He smiled
“So this is all about jealousy huh?, I allowed that cos she’s my artist and as my artist, there’s nothing bad in having each other’s number” he said
” Get a male makeup artist” she replied
He started laughing
“You know that’s scarce, and I even think Ginger is hot” Philip teased
” What!” Melanie replied, looking at him
” Yeah, she’s so pretty too” he said again…
She covered her ears with her pillow and lay down
” I hate you, don’t come near” she said but Philip hugged her tightly
She freed herself and made to climb down from the be.d
He pulled her back to himself and his lip found hers, he kssed her shortly
“So you can be this jealous even when I was just teasing you” he said
“I told you not to talk to me” she said
” I even wanted to tell you how more gorgeous you look back then in the studio but you kept a straight face and even scared me” he said
She refused to talk
” Ok I promise never to let her touch anywhere except my face again, trust me” he said
” She’s clearly trying to sed-ce you” she said like a baby
He smiled and rubbed her l-ips
” No matter how good she is in sed-ction, I can never fall” he said
“I know, I’m just annoyed that she’s trying to” she replied
” Just don’t you worry, your love will take care of everything and now you need to smile” he said
She smiled lightly and it eventually became wide
He hugged her
“That’s my baby” he said
“I love you”
“More and more from here” he replied and pushed her slightly, making her lay on the b.ed
