”The child died a long time ago u bastard”, Kate cried ”what?? he died? oh my God! pls am very sorry for everything bad I did to u years back! my second then was the one who introduced me to that kind of business! and I did that out of fraustration!! but now am a changed person and no longer in that kind of business anymore!… I thank God for my life now! pls find a place in ur heart to forgive me! wat has happened has happened! pls I beg u forget the past! if there is anything u want me to do for u so I can gain ur forgiveness I will do it”, Mr Frank pleaded and pleaded,..after much pleading, Kate finally forgives him

”thank u very much for ur forgiveness”, Mr Frank said and smiled faintly ”is alright!! so wat about ur second”, Kate asked ”hmmmm!! it a long story but I will cut it short! nine years ago, my second and I went to rob in a prominent house but unluckily for us, we were caught,..but I later escaped while my second was burnt to death,.. on getting home, I knelt down and thanked God for making me escape death that very day,..since that faithful day, I turned a new creature,.. two years after the horrible incident, God blessed me with a good job and a nice woman to marry! but unfortunately I lost my beloved wife in the cold hand of death while giving birth,.. but my baby girl survived and my wife died! so am very sorry for the past”, Mr Frank pleaded almost in tears ”oh my! wat a pathetic story! anyway I forgive u”, Kate said and smiled faintly.

”Am inviting u for dinner at my house tomorrow! pls I want u to come so u can get to know my family, my daughter and my son who is a professional medical doctor”, Mr Frank said smiling ”son? I thought u said u only have a daughter? so which son are u talking about? Kate asked confusedly

”smile!! well let me just say a boy I adopted some years ago! I really love him so much as my own son, and now he has become a professional medical doctor! he owns his own hospital”, Mr Frank smiling ”wow!! that nice of u!! I can’t wait to see ur beautiful family”, Kate said ”here!! this is my card, when u are ready to come tomorrow just give me a call so I will direct u to my house ok”, Mr Frank said and handed her his complimentary card which Kate collected without hesitation ”ok till then! let me be on my way now I have a daughter to attend to? Kate said and carried the bucket of pure water on her head

”wait!! let me give u something”, Mr Frank said opened his car and brought out one thousand naira note ten, and gave it to Kate,..at first she refused to take it,..after much persuation, she collected it and thanked him very much ”ok just take care of urself and extend my greetings to ur daughter”, Mr Frank said ”ok I will! thank u very much and bye”, Kate said and walked away while Mr Frank drove off.

Kate got home and met her daughter Vicky painting her legs ”so as small as u are u have started painting nails abi? eeeh this girl will not kill me o! oh God! wat is this girl turning into Biko? now give me that curtes before I decend on u now”, Kate shouted ”but mama is it not my money I used in buying it? pls I can’t give u the curtex o”, Vicky said frowning her face

”wait o!! where did u even get the money u used in buying this rubbish? answer me now”, Kate shouted ”mama pls leave me alone jor! leave me Biko”, Vicky said and walked outside ”wat kind of a child is this? she don’t even have manners! no single respect! no problem I know how to handle ur kind”, Kate said to no one In particular,..

”dad u sent for us”,Jenny said and sat down on the couch beside her father Mr Frank ”so where is goodluck? Mr Frank asked ”he should be in his room! ok here he is”, Jenny said looking at goodluck who was coming towards them

”dad I just received a call from my hospital, they said my attention is needed there urgently”,goodluck said looked at Jenny and blew a k-ss on the air for her while Jenny smiled and couldn’t take her eyes off goodluck ”ok no prob! just seat down let me have a word with u guys, I won’t take much of ur time”, Mr Frank said as goodluck smiled and seat beside Jenny

”we are having a guest tomorrow evening! she will be coming to have dinner with us! Mr Frank said ”just that? no problem let her come she is welcome”, goodluck said and immediately his phone started ringing, he looked at it and the caller name was boldly written nurse kike ”excuse me dad! goodluck said and picked the call

”hello nurse kike! wat is it? goodluck asked on phone ”doctor ur attention is needed urgently pls come o! there is a pregnant woman here who is bleeding seriously, we have try stopping the bleeding but all to no avail, doctor pls come”, nurse kike said at the other ends of the call ”ok am coming right away”, goodluck said and ended the call ”dad pls I will be going now, am needed urgently at my hospital”, goodluck said, pecked Jenny on the cheek

”u look so pretty my angel and also remember doctor goodluck loves u”, goodluck whisper in a low tone on Jenny’s ear making her to blush ”see u guys later”, goodluck added and went straight to his room to changed.

”hmmm!! I can’t believe am blushing! wat kind of feelings is this? a man that raped me and still kill my mother,..I can’t believe am having feelings for him after wat he did to me? anyway let me just forget about the past and face reality! truth be told, he looks very handsome! I wished he will just proposed to me, I won’t even hesitate to answer him yes! I regretted ever maltreating and killing goodluck! I really regrets my actions towards that my innocent child! now he is nomore,..if at all goodluck is alive now, I would have used him to get Mr Frank’s attention! how do I do for Mr Frank to marry me? anyway I have my plans when I go there tomorrow for dinner! I can’t wait to k-ss him”, Kate said to herself and blushed.

The following day evening, Kate has dressed up ready to go to Mr Frank’s house,..after applying makeup on her face, she looked at herself in the mirror and smiled ”ever beauty!! she muttered to herself and walked out of the house,.. boarded a cab who took her to Mr Frank’s mansion, she knocked at the gate and a security opened the gate for her and greeted

”welcome ma! I presume u are madam Kate? because my boss told me u are coming!! pls come in,side”, the security said as Kate entered and her mouth went wide opened ”chai! this house is paradise”, she admired as the security led her in,side the house,.. make urself comfortable let me call my boss”, the security said as Kate nodded and sat down, so the security climbed upstairs

”chai see house! very soon I will become the madam in this house! I wa…”, as she was still talking to herself, a familiar voice interrupted her,…she turned to see the person,..lol and behold it was goodluck looking very cute and charming, holding a laptop on his hand, Kate on seeing goodluck almost fell from the couch.
