Dianna’s POV
I woke up to see myself in the midst of rubbles with Eric laying beside me
“Hey” I said as I shook him and he jumped up
“What happened?” I asked
“You happened sister, you blew up the theater house” he said as he stood up
I saw Gia running towards us
“You were asked to keep Dianna in control not provoke her to blow up the theater!” Gia said
“Well she is back in control now so mission accomplished!” Eric said
“Mission accomplished? After all the damages…..”
“Enough!!” I yelled and they flinched
“Did I hurt any human?” I enquired
“No, unlike someone here, I was able to perform my job effectively and I got them to safety” Gia said and I nodded
“And The Guardian?”
“She escaped, Ivan went after her” Eric replied
There was a sudden police siren and I stood up
“Let’s go, we can’t let them meet us here” I said and we found our way through the rubbles
“If the cops are going to conduct an investigation on how this building blew up then we have to make sure no one sees or recognizes you” Gia said
“Am pretty sure everyone was carried away with the fire to notice the face but I can’t say the same for you Gia, people saw you using your powers, when the cops starts asking questions, you will lead them right to us” Eric said
“And so? Don’t tell me you are scared of mere human cops Eric” Gia laughed
“I am scared of nothing!! The humans are very inquisitive, if they find out of our powers they will want to know more, to explore more of our powers” Eric said
“Oh you are just being a scared little kid…..”
“Enough!! both of you!!” I yelled and they stopped talking
“Why do you two always argue each chance you get, you guys used to be so close so where’s this hatred coming from?”
“I don’t know sister, Gia is just being an angry moron for no reason” Eric said
“For no reason? You very well know what happened, you ended my relationship with you the day you killed Micheal!!” Gia yelled
“Who’s Micheal?”
“He was a weak human! He wasn’t worth being your boyfriend and perhaps he was going to die anyway!” Eric said
“Is that what all this is about, love?” I asked
“Yes sister, but I do not expect you to understand when that hardened heart of yours have never experienced such a blissful feeling in your long and lonely immortal life” Gia said and walked away
“Did she just speak rudely to me?” I turned to Eric
“Ummm….. I think I’ll also go to the mansion first before you go all fiery again” Eric ran off and I huffed
“Bunch of useless beings I call my siblings” I muttered as I walked home angrily….

“Look who’s here, the ultimate destroyer!” Ivan laughed as I walked into the mansion
“Say that again and I’ll gauge out your tongue” I replied
“I see you are still having your mood swings” Ivan said
“You went after The Guardian, do not tell me you lost her” I said
“Have I ever lost anyone I went after sister? She’s at the backyard, I tied her to a chair there” he said
“And you left her alone there?!!”
“Calm down, I asked the twins to watch her” he said
“Those are the worst people you could ask to babysit a powerful witch” I said as I walked off to the backyard and Ivan followed me
Eric’s POV
“Eric and Gia right?” The Guardian asked
“Oh you still remember the names of the people you condemned to an eternity of suffering” Gia said and she laughed
“Oh even without the curse you guys were already broken, the curse gave you powers you can’t control it didn’t make you such savagers, it didn’t make Eric decide to kill your dear human boyfriend” The Guardian said
“How…. how did you know about that?” Gia asked
“Come on Gia, she’s the Guardian of The Hell Gates, of course she’ll know everything without being told” I said
“Oh you shut up, you have no right to utter any word when Micheal is being discussed!” Gia said
“Come on, that guy was a weakling, I did you a favor by killing him”
“A favor?! Or were you just jealous that I was growing too close to Micheal and I had no more attention for a childish and self-centered twin brother like yourself!”
“You watch what you say Gia!!” I yelled
“Else what?!” she retorted angrily
There was a sudden explosive sound
Gia and I turned back to see The Guardian free from the chair she was tied to
“Oh you all are really damaged” she said as she waved her hand and Gia and I screamed as our head burned
“I think I’ll take my leave now Hammingtons” she said as she made for the door
The door suddenly opened and Dianna and Ivan walked in
“Not so fast guardian” Dianna said as she grabbed her throat
“I told you these two watching the guardian was a big mistake” she said to Ivan
“Yeah, a mistake that won’t be repeated” Ivan said staring daggers at Gia and I
“So…. Guardian” Dianna sat her down on a chair “Where exactly shall we start from? Oh let’s start from how and why you cursed us centuries ago”
The Guardian smiled
“Oh I wasn’t the one that cursed you centuries ago, my ancestor did and she’s long dead, I am her last descendant and the current Guardian of the Hell Gates” she said
“The one that cursed us is dead?” Gia asked

“Yes, she died immediately she cursed your family centuries ago. I’ve heard the story countless times from my mother, your parents were bloodthirsty humans hungry for more power, and in their quest to gain more power, they got the Hell Gates opened, the gate was the only thing restraining powerful demons from hell and it was the only thing stopping them from devouring our world, when your parents opened the Hell Gates against all warnings, my ancestor had to sacrifice her life to close back the Gate and save the world and in that agony of dying for someone else’s misdeeds, she cursed you all. My family have been hiding and living in fear when we found out you all were on the hunt for The Guardian, each night, tales of your ferocious deeds filled my ears, my mother would always tell me how evil you all are and how any descendant of The Guardian must stay hidden from you all”
“Your mother was wise” Ivan said
“Or maybe she was just afraid but not anymore, she is dead now, I am the last living descendant of The Guardian that cursed you all and I decided not to be afraid anymore, if my ancestor made you into the very beasts you all are then I can end you all as well” she said
“Oh enough of this tale, if she’s just a descendant of The Guardian then I don’t think she can help us, we should kill her” I said
“Patience Eric, if she proves to be not useful I will kill her myself” Dianna said and The Guardian laughed
“You cannot kill me, not if you want to know what is to come for you all” she said
“Oh please, there’s nothing you can say that will make you escape death today” Ivan said
She laughed and slowly her laugh turned into a slow cackle echoing round the house
“A long and lonely journey you all have walked
A thousand souls you all have perished and all lines you all have crossed
And by the wails of all those that met their end by your hands, you have been cursed again
You shall be given what you’ve always seeked for but you shall want it no more
The agony of loosing the ones you love you shall experience
And in a year’s time, the Hammington name shall cease to exist”
There was a sudden shrilling sound and a blinding red light filled the place
We all covered our eyes and by the time we opened back our eyes, she was gone……..
