I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I was in a hospital already
“was the fall that bad?” I asked myself as I traced the bandage on my head
No one was in the room so I sat up
The nightmare flashed through my mind and I closed my eyes
“what’s just this dream about? Gosh, please let it not be what I’m thinking?” I said and laid down again
I took my phone and called Edna
📲hey babe
📲oh, my boo. Are you awake now?
📲yes
📲I’m coming back there now
📲okay I’m waiting
I dropped the phone and sat up again
I took the phone again
Lucy’s call came in
I smiled happily
I quickly picked it
📲hello Deon
📲Lucy, hi
📲I heard you’re in the hospital
📲how did you know?
📲idiot ,it’s all over the internet
📲ohhh, yeah. I had a little accident
📲sorry about that
📲why don’t you come and see me? Tell one of the guards to drive you here
📲what? Will the security allow me to pass? I don’t want embarrassment

Then she dropped it
I sat up, with my hands on my chin
So I’m expecting two girls
My girlfriend and my ex

I didn’t break up with her
So in the right sense, she’s still my girlfriend
Which means I’m double dating

And I can’t bring myself to officially break up with Lucy
I’m really a confused human being
“awwwn, my honey pie” Edna said as she rushed towards me
She k-ssed me and played with my neck
“hey” I mumbled as I held her wa-ist
“I’m so glad that you’re awake baby” she stated and I smiled
“you need something to eat” she said as my stomach rumbled
“yeah, I’m damn hungry” I replied
“let me order the chefs to get something ready now” she said as she brought out her phone
Just then, Lucy walked in with the guard

She’s beautiful
Dressed with jeans skirt and a yellow top
With her V-rgin hair packed up

I’m the reason she started with unpermed hair
I told her I love girls with their hair not touched
And boom
The next day, she was already on low cut, ready to grow a new hair
I was smiling uncontrollably as the guard handed a bag to her and left
She gently closed the door and walked towards us
Edna was watching her too
“hi guys” she said sweetly, with an innocent smile
“hi” I replied
“how are you doing now?” she asked as she dropped the bag on the table and touched my head
“I think I’m okay” I replied and she pinched me
“you think, I’m sure your accident affected your brain too” she said and I laughed
“ouch, you’re hurting me” I said jokingly and she laughed
“hi Lucy” Edna finally said something
“hey Edna, you’re here to keep him company” she said and Edna held my arm
“yeah, I’m not myself seeing him here” she replied and k-ssed me
My eyes w¡dened but I quickly dropped them
She pecked my cheek and smiled
I also forced a smile out
“cute” Lucy said and turned to the table
I knew that got to her
She’s very jealous but controls it a lot
“I’ll just order the food for you baby” Edna said and dialed the number
“no need, i brought something for him to eat” Lucy said and brought a food box from the bag
“what, there’s no way Deon is gonna eat that. He doesn’t eat from strange sources. And besides, what type of food do you think he eats? He’s even on a strict diet” Edna blurted out
Lucy just uncovered the food and dished it
I gasped as the aroma hit my nostrils and my gaze caught the best food in the world

My love for beans is unconditional
I can’t reject this

I’m eating this food today
I quickly sat well
“Lucy, you cooked beans?” I asked, already salivating
Edna glared at me
“yes, I cooked it for breakfast coincidentally” she replied and I smiled
She handed me the plate of steamed, brown bean pudding. Garnished with beef and some other substituents
“baby, are you really eating that?” Edna asked
“yeah… This is my favorite… ever..” I mumbled in between mouthfuls of the food
Lucy chuckled
“but how did she know?” Edna asked
“why won’t I know? Deon and I were pretty close back then” she replied and winked at me
Edna scoffed and sat on the chair
“want some?” I asked her
She didn’t reply but took her phone out
Lucy smirked and I knew she just tried to get back at her
I just hope Edna doesn’t find out who Lucy really is

“do you like it?” I asked Deon
“like? I love this. Miss this so much” he replied, taking the last spoon of the food
“can you guys tell me how close you were?” Edna asked
”Lucy thanks for the food” Deon said and handed me the plate
I offered him water and a napkin
The door opened and two people walked in
“Grace” I yelled and ran to her
“Lucy” she replied and hugged me
“oh my goodness” Precious said and hugged me
“Lucy is this really you?” Grace said, holding my hand
I giggled happily
This girls are like my family
They are Deon’s elder sisters
“I’ve really missed you, I lost all contact with you. Where have you been?” Grace asked
“it’s a long story” I replied
“but how did you find Deon again?” Precious asked
“still a long story” Deon replied
“you’re so lean now Lucy, what happened?” Grace asked
“because you people totally forgot about me. It’s really unbelievable” I stated
“it’s not like that, just that plenty things came up. That sometimes you don’t even remember the name you use to bear. It’s just that the higher you go, the bigger your problems” Precious replied
“that Gideon can even forget me” I mumbled sadly
“Pres” Edna said
That was when they even noticed her presence
“oh, Ed. You’re here. Sorry, we notice” Precious said and walked over to Edna, she bent down and hugged her
I smiled at her
They are now big girls
I heard Grace is not even studying in Nigeria
They are so reformed now
Their dress sense is superb
And they are sparkling
Deon was looking at me
My gaze met his and our eyes locked
He didn’t stop staring
I looked away and Grace held my hand
She knows what I’m feeling
“so you guys also know the street girl?” Edna asked
“which street girl?” Precious asked
“her” Edna said, using her eyes to direct them to me
As if she was gossiping about me
“Lucy? She’s not a street girl” Grace replied
Edna stood up and went to Deon
“baby, you didn’t tell your sisters?” she said to him
I dislike the way she’s carrying herself

“guys, she’s the street girl he hugged” she added and they were shocked

I sighed
“another long story” Deon and I said at the same time and we both laughed
Edna rolled her eyes
”where are you staying? We really need to talk” Grace said politely, I think she’s beginning to pity me
“don’t worry, we’ll have time to do that” I said with a smile
“oh my gosh, you still have this tattoo!” Grace remarked and took my arm
“Gi..de..on…” Precious drawed and hit his leg
“guys I have to go, BK just texted me” Edna said and stood up with her bag
She k-ssed Deon and hugged Precious
“bye guys” she said and left
Grace scoffed and hissed
Precious glared at her
“some people reap where they didn’t sow” Grace mumbled and I heard her
It’s obvious she doesn’t like her
A doctor walked in and greeted us
He began to check on Deon
“Lucy, let’s go and hang out somewhere” Grace said to me
I nodded and took the bag that contained the food box
“I’ll see you another time Deon” I said and followed Grace out
“bye bye Pres, I’ll see you soon” I said and waved at her
She smiled and waved back
We got out of the hospital and I was surprised to see that Grace was driving the latest model of Toyota Camry.

Immediately the doctor left, Precious sat up and faced me
“what” I said
“Deon, Lucy is back?” she asked
“yes” I said and sat up
“what are you going to do now? Does Edna know who she is?” she asked again
“no” I replied
She sighed
“I hope Lucy won’t cause trouble between the two of you. I don’t want anything to separate you and Edna” she stated
“what even took your mind there?” I asked
“knowing what you and Lucy shared, and how much she loved you back then. She might try to get you back. And you know she will definitely trap you if she wants you back. And if she traps you, Edna won’t just let it go. You know who Edna is, she doesn’t take shit.” she said and crossed her arm
“no one is going to cause any trouble Pres” I said, hoping what I said was true because I know I really hurt Lucy
“okay, among the two of them who do you really like?” she asked looking at me keenly
I sighed thoughtfully
“I really don’t know anymore. I don’t know what I want. I don’t know who I want” I stated and closed my eyes
“bro, seems you’re already stuck IN BETWEEN two girls but I advise you. Choose Edna and make things easier for you because Lucy is easy to deal with. If you break up with Edna now, you might go back to being Gideon because she’s one of the reasons why you’re in this level” she said and stood up
“but if Lucy didn’t advise me to take-up the challenge, I wouldn’t even be in any level talk more of this level” I replied
“so are you choosing Lucy?” she asked
“I don’t know” I replied in deep confusion
She sighed
Took her bag and left but not without telling me that I should continue with Edna
And I’m really confused
I want Edna
And I want Lucy
I’m not even sure about my feelings for Edna anymore
They all vanished the day I set my eyes on Lucy at the market
But I’m still not sure, if I don’t love Edna anymore
Maybe it’s just because I’m stressed up
I need to travel out alone to clear my head

“she’s really annoying BK, she kept getting on my nerves.” I said and crossed my arms then lifted my knees up, placing my feet on the soft bed
“chillax bae, she’s just a former friend” BK replied, polishing her nails beside me
“I don’t think so, there’s more to this. The way they’re behaving, there was something between them. Even his sisters, they are acting different towards her. They was something she mentioned, lamenting that he could forget her of all people. Plus that hideous tattoo on her arm, when Precious and Grace saw it, they recognized it and began to tease him. I think it even stands for Gideon because it’s the letter G” I blurted out and she laughed though I was damn serious
“you look like a baby when you’re angry.” she said laughing
“OK, let’s go to the point. You think Lucy is his ex lover?” she asked
“yes, that’s exactly what I’m thinking” I replied
“and you’re thinking that she wants him back right?”
“yes, she does. This wh0le issue with Deon and I started when she busted out in our lives. And I really think she’s just a gold digger. She should go back to where she came from” I said
“if she’s after his money, then let’s give her enough money that she wouldn’t look his way again. If she becomes a busy girl and all that, she won’t have any interest in Deon.” BK said and I faced her
“how are we going to do that?” I asked
“send her to a far country and make her engage in something that could bring her money. She’ll definitely forget about Deon, especially if she sees another guy”
“hmmm”
I was in thought
What she said was true
I’ll make Lucy go away to a different country and make her someone who is on her own while I continue with Deon
I’m sure she’s naive
And she’ll take my offer
I smiled and BK smiled too

Grace bought me a laptop yesterday when we went out
I’m so glad
I couldn’t believe it at all
I’m so in love with this laptop
Though I find it hærd to type fast but Grace showed me the necessary steps
And I’m now back on facebook
She also helped me with Whatsapp account and instagram too
She also took me shopping
Finally I feel wanted
I’ve been taking pictures round this massive building
It’s now that I’m actually seeing the real beauty of the place I live in
I can’t believe I live here
I’m really glad
The next thing on my mind now is studies
I really want to upgrade
It was already late in the evening when I got a strange phone number calling me
I thought it was Grace cause she took my number

📲we’re having an open audition for an upcoming movie and one of our clients registered you just now. So get ready for the audition in two days

I sighed immediately after the call
“this Grace is something else” I said and laughed
Then another call came

“what, so soon? But, you’re still not okay” I said rhetorically
“says who? I hate hospitals” he replied and I smiled
“when you had typhoid and they admitted you, you disappeared the next morning” I stated and he laughed
“it’s because I overheard a nurse telling my mom that I’ll take three injections in the morning. Me? No way!” he said and I laughed

“and I’m still crazy” he replied
“I want to see you before I travel”

“somewhere outside the country”

I’ll be visiting Lucy tomorrow
It would be good if she can act because I want her to be an actress
And possibly make her filthy and despicable
Deon would never have anything to do with her because he hates such behavior
And since she’s naive, she’ll be easily drawn into a wayward lifestyle
There’s actually a new movie plan in Johannesburg, my elder brother is the director
I’ve already spoken to him and he has given Lucy the part of a slut
A rich wh-re who smuggles in hærd drugs into the country
I actually begged him for that part because of Lucy
And the pay is also very high
I’m sure Lucy won’t let it go
And if she acts that movie which has profane scenes about her part, I’m sure my Deon would never ever think towards her no matter how hærd she tries

I’ve gone for the audition already and I got the part

“you’re going to South Africa” she yelled happily

The maid came and placed a tray in front of her
I glanced through the script and I saw that it was the same movie I auditioned for

She smiled happily
“I’ll be leaving now. Send all your necessary information to the email address down the script cover” she said and stood up
I stood up too

She entered her car and waved at me before driving out
I started laughing
I knew she was up to something

Grace drove me to the airport and helped me with some things before leaving
This is my first time in an airport and I’m so nervous
But fortunately, I didn’t screw anything up and I’m neatly seated in the airplane, ready for takeoff
I love the way everything is set
The air hostesses and the way they are dressed
Soon the plane took off
At first I felt uneasy and it was rising
But I felt better when it got steady
After a few minutes, they announced that we were going to land
I was so surprised at the speed
We got down and I felt extreme joy
I was in South Africa
“whoahhhh” I mumbled happily
We got to the lobby and I called the number that Grace gave me
The lady directed me outside and asked me to wait for her
Then she came to pick me
“hi Lucy, I’m Zula your manager” she said, stretching her hand for a handshake
I took it and smiled
“follow me” she said and I rolled my luggage to the car. The driver helped me to keep it in the boot and we drove off
I kept looking around
Johannesburg is really beautiful
I feel like taking pictures everywhere
If only I had a lover
This place would be so magical for us
I sighed and imagined Edna having Deon all to herself
I imagined the fun they would have whenever they travelled together
I quickly brushed it off as Zula began to talk to me
“Miss Joseph, you’ll be lodging in one of the best hotels here according to Miss Grace Jonah’s orders. And the movie will be shot part-time in the hotel too. The services are rendered well and it has a comfortable environment. The rooms are convenient and the room service will always be at your beck and call. You can always call me when you need information and some other critical things that you need help with. I will also be around the shooting vicinity as your manager. So you’re going to feel at home during your stay here” she said and gave me a beautiful smile
“thank you Zula”i replied, grinning from ear to ear
We were already at the hotel
“wowww” I muttered and I looked on
We stepped down and walked in
I was looking around but doing it with style so they won’t call me newbie
We got to the hallway leading to my room
“this is a VIP section here. Very unique and beautiful. Only top people lodge here” Zula said as she led me to my room
“I love it” I replied and she chuckled
We got to the last two doors and she opened one
The other one opened and we looked back
