“what, Lucy? What the heck are you doing here?” I said wondering how and why I was seeing Edna here
“I thought Grace told you?” Lucy replied
“told me what?” I asked and she sighed
“I’ll just drop your luggage in,side” the lady beside her said and rolled her luggage in,side
“Lucy what exactly are you doing here?” I asked, frowning
“long story” she replied
“cut it short” I blurted out
“don’t yell at me” she said
“I didn’t” I replied
I wasn’t happy to see her here, she’s just going to make me more confused
I came here to think things through
“just forget it. I’m leaving this hotel” she said and turned to go in,side, probably to get her luggage back
I grabbed her hand and pulled her into my room
She scre-med but I covered her mouth and held her wa-ist
“how did you get here Lucy?” I asked gently then uncovered her mouth
She glanced at my room
“is this where you said you were going to travel to?” she asked
“yes” I replied
“I didn’t know” she said
“you’ve not answered my question” I said to her
“I auditioned for a movie and got the part, it’s being acted here so I traveled down here. Grace helped me with everything” she replied and I sighed
“and you didn’t tell me” I said
“I wanted to do things on my own. No need to tell you” she replied and I released her
“wow, great. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to see me next door. And you wouldn’t want us to be in the same hotel, talk more of the same floor” I said as I walked to the bar
I was wearing white shorts and sneakers
And white T-shirt with gold neck chains
I took my phone
“what are you doing?” she asked
“calling my manager. I’m leaving for Brazil” I replied and dialed the number
“what? No! Wait” she said and walked towards me then grabbed my phone and turned it off
“why did you do that?”
“why are you going to Brazil?”
“does that concern you? I’m doing things myself, no need to tell you” I replied and she gave me back the phone with a dull face
“okay,” she mumbled
“sorry” she added and turned to go
I just hurt her again
She’s too soft for those words
I know she’s going to cry because she knows I’m leaving Because of her
“Lucy.. I…” she was already close to the door
I ran and pulled her, we fell on the couch
She was on top of me
She tried to stand up but I held her down
“don’t be stubborn” I said gently and used my hand to place her head, carefully on my chest
I held her tight and closed my eyes
She didn’t retaliate
She just laid there quietly, clutching my shirt
I began to hear sniffs and little sounds like gulps
I opened my eyes
She was crying
I stood up and hugged her
“Queen” I mumbled as I stroke her hair
Her cries increased and I held her hand
“stop crying. You know how much I hate your tears” I said and wiped them off with my thumb
She was looking down at her fingers
I had a strong urge to k-ss her and tell her that I love her
But the other part that wanted Edna won’t let me say it
She finally looked up at me
With those sad but bright eyes
“Dee” she muttered
“I’m sorry I yelled at you” I whispered
“it’s okay” she shifted back
“I’ll go to my suite now” she added and stood up
I stood up too
“I’m coming with you” I said
“no, you need to call your manager” she said
“no, I’m not leaving anymore” I replied
“I’ll stay here till you’re done with the movie” I added and she smiled brightly
“thanks” she said and hugged me
“let’s have dinner together” I said while smoothing her cheek
“okay” she said and I held her hand as we walked to her suite

“I’m so happy guys, she’s out of town and Deon” I giggled and my girls laughed
“how can a low class girl think of having the great Deon of Music and handsomeness. She doesn’t stand a chance” Angela said and sipped her drink
“but, you said she was his ex lover. If their love was true, then they still stand a chance” Tessy said
“you’re just trying to talk about the stories you always read on wattpad. That a rich man falls in love and marries a maid and all those rubbish. That’s all fantasy and fiction. Not reality. In Nigeria here, how many of the rich and influential people marry their maids or even village girls” BK asked and Tessy frowned
“it happens but it’s rare” Tessy replied
“witchcraft” Angela said and we laughed
“but, friends do steal their friends man” she added and I frowned
“what does that mean? I hope non of you are thinking of Deon? Though it’s so impossible for Deon to go for any of you. He doesn’t even know your faces or your names” I said and laughed alone
“Deon doesn’t know my name?” Angela asked with a look of seriousness
“that day we came to your house, I told him to drop me there. He said he doesn’t know who you are and I was surprised. That’s why he followed me in to see what you looked like” I said and she smirked evilly
“wow” she said and Tessy looked at her
Why do I have a feeling this two are hiding something?
“I don’t blame him. He only knows Edna” BK said and I smiled
“we’ll soon be like Jay Z and Beyonce” I said and we giggled
“I wish I had someone to love” Tessy said and hugged a pillow
“awwwn….” BK said and we laughed again
I just can’t wait to prove to the world that Deon is mine and mine alone

“what?” I said as Zula gave me the news
“it’s because of some crisis going on now. The movie has to be cut off” Zula added
“so I’ll just have to go back to Nigeria then” I stated
“yes, but would you like go go into modeling?” Zula asked
“modeling? I really don’t know” I replied
“if you would like it, I’ll just register you under a modelling agency. It would do you good” she said and I smiled
“I’ll just think about it and get back to you” I declared
“okay Miss, I’ll be leaving for some things now. Call me if you need anything”
“okay, thanks Zula”
“bye”
I sighed as she left
The movie has been cancelled
I better go and tell Deon
I went to his door and knocked
A guard in suit opened
“how may I help you?” he asked strictly
“I need to see Deon” I replied
“do you have a pass?” he asked
“pass?” I asked back, because I didn’t understand
“I’m sorry but you’ll have to leave. Deon doesn’t see just anybody” he said and made me go back then closed the door
“what the heck?” I said and took my phone
I dialed his number
He picked up almost immediately
📲your guard just threw me out
📲my guard?
📲when did your guards arrive? They won’t let me see you
📲oops, knock again in two minutes
📲okay
I hung up and waited for two minutes and the door opened
“I’m sorry miss, you can see him now” the guard opened the door wide and bowed
I sighed and walked in
He closed the door and another guard came up
“this way miss” he said leading me to a hallway
I followed him and he pointed to a door and bowed
I smiled as he left
I gently opened the door and peeped in, he wasn’t in,side
I entered and closed the door
Then he walked in with a towel on his wa-ist and a took pick in his mouth
“hey baby” he stated
“hmmmm”
“sorry for locking you out. I forgot to give them orders concerning you earlier” he said and took another towel then placed it over his neck
“you just got out of the shower 🚿?” I asked
“no, bathtub 🛁” he replied
“what’s the difference?” I asked
“a bathtub, you lie down in,side. It’s usually filled with soapy water. And a shower is up, pouring water on you” he said
“oh, I understand now. I’ve seen something like that in the bathroom” I replied and he laughed and took about five creams out and some other stuff
I gasped
“Gideon, what are you using them for?” I asked standing up for the sofa to his dressing table
“my body” he replied and I glanced at his skin
No wonder
No s₱0t at all
“wow, you’ve really upgraded” I said
“I’ll excuse you till you’re done dressing up” I said.
“no, dress me up” he said
“what? You’re sick” I said and turned to go
He pulled me back
“what are you afraid of?” he said smiling
“seeing something” I replied with a small laugh
“what have you not seen?” he replied
“since you became Deon the rap god I haven’t seen anything” I replied and he released my hand and chuckled
“I heard your movie was cancelled” he said
“yeah,” I replied not really happy about it
“let’s go to Miami then” he said and began to lotion his skin
“where’s Miami?” I asked
“Florida, that’s USA” he replied and I gasped
“you want me to go there?” I asked
“no, I want us to go there” he replied and faced me
“why” I asked
“are you coming with me or not?”
“okay, I’m coming but…”
“no buts… You’re coming with me” he said and moved towards me
I moved back cause it was awkward
He moved closer again
I kept moving backwards and fell on the bed
He fell on me and his towel loosened
“oh my God!” I spoke out
“I miss you” he said and k-ssed my cheek
“I…. Dee… Deon… Deon stop” I muttered and tried to push him off
“why, you didn’t miss me?” he asked with sincere eyes
“I… I did.. A lot” I replied
“I’m sorry, for everything. I’m sorry I left you. I didn’t mean to but situations turned my brain away. I… I… I still…” he stopped and rolled off me.
I closed my eyes and opened them
He was already with the towel
I stood up
“sorry if I’m acting too weird” he said and I nodded
He faced the mirror and I stared at him
I keep loving him the more
Everything about him
My love for him came back and it’s no longer under my control
“Lucy” he called out
“yes” I mumbled
“you still love me, right?”
I froze
I wasn’t expecting that question
I couldn’t answer
I wasn’t even in my right mind
I didn’t know he was already in front of me
He held my hand
“I know you do. And I respect you for that. But I’m confused, I really don’t understand myself. I’m lost Lucy, I don’t know which way to go. I really don’t know” he replied and I could see that he was truly confused
Maybe he still has a thing for me
But Edna is standing in the way
“it’s okay Dee, you don’t have to be confused. I want you to be happy so just live the way you used to live before I came. I know you love Edna I’m not standing in the way of your love. You’re free to be with……”
I couldn’t continue because he pulled me by my wa-ist and placed his l-ips on mine
My eyes w¡dened and refused to close

I couldn’t control myself
I wanted her to be close to me
I wanted us to have body contact
The way her l-ips moved while she was speaking ar-used me
I know it’s not lust
“Deon” Lucy muttered and she pushed me away
My towel loosened again
She gasped and covered her eyes
I laughed and laid down on the bed and looked at her without tying the towel back
“have you covered yourself?” she asked
“maybe” I replied and grabbed her
She scre-med and I made her to sit on me
“hey, leave me. You’re crazy Deon” she said, struggling to get down with her eyes closed
I pushed her to the bed and laid on top of her
“you’re beautiful” I mumbled and she opened her eyes
“tell me you love me” I said and she frowned
“in your dreams” she replied but I was damn serious
Those were the words I needed to hear from her
“I’m serious” I said with a serious face
“but…”
“tell me you love me” I said again
“no”she replied
“okay” I said and stood up
I tied my towel and went into the bathroom
I splashed water on my face and looked into the mirror
“I love you Lucy. I always loved you. I loved you then and I still love you now. I don’t know what Edna did to me. I don’t know why I forgot about you. I don’t know why I des**ted you. But one thing I know is this, I will never leave you again. I won’t let you suffer. I will treat you like the queen you are to me. I don’t care about Edna’s reaction but one thing is for sure, she’s not my soul mate. Lucy, you’re the one for me and I love you”
I sighed and started breathing heavily
I splashed water on my face again and got out
Lucy was no longer there
I knew she’ll leave
I’ll just let her be for now

I jammed the door behind me and ran to my sofa
I fell on it and clutched the pillow to my face
I began to cry because I didn’t know what to do
I know Deon doesn’t love me
He loves Edna
He’s just trying to pity me
And he’s just trying to use me
I can’t allow that
But I just did
I allowed him to k-ss me
I really need to stay away from Deon
I need to go far away from him
I have to focus on myself first
But my heart is singing a different song
Why is my heart longing for him?
Why is his picture still in my heart?
I’m IN BETWEEN two feelings
I feel that I should let him go and live my own life
I also feel that I should stand by him
I want to fight for him but I can’t stand against Edna
I just don’t know what to do
I sniffed and blinked away My tears
I took my phone from my pocket and called Zula

I sighed as I dropped the phone on the table
“if I want to fight for Deon, then I need to be at Edna’s level. Even more than her. She just can’t take him away from me” I said and stood up to take a shower

It was already late in the evening when Zula came
I was just eating dinner which was served by the hotel itself
“so how did it go?” I asked standing up from the dining chair
“it went really well. Tomorrow morning we’ll have to leave for Chicago for the signing in. The agency’s new shoot is for winter clothes since its almost winter. There are about ten new clothes designed fashionably for winter and you’re going to model them. You’re also getting a car and a driver if you want, and a house you can temporarily live in till you are transferred. And you’re going to be paid about $50,000 on your first trial”
“Oh my God……..” that was all I could say
“it’s a good start right” she asked smiling
“it’s better than I even imagined” I replied with extreme joy
“you can also be an actress while you’re a model. That’s if you can cope with the activities”
“this is great. Thanks Zula” I said and hugged her
“I’ll be leaving now. Go through this magazine. This is the agency’s modelling magazine. And get ready for the flight tomorrow by 8am.”
“okay, I will. Thanks again” I said
“you’re welcome. Good night Lucy” she replied and waved at me.
I waved back and she left
I smiled and went back to the dinning chair
I was too excited to touch my food
I kept looking at the magazine
The models were really beautiful
Both black and white
I imagined my picture being in it too
I was so happy
Things are working out
I’ll call my mother and tell her
I’ll also call Grace

“you’re going into modeling?” I asked with my arms crossed
“yes. Why, is it bad?” she asked with a cute face
“no, it’s okay. Seriously it is. But, are you sure you’re going to be okay with it. It’s stressful you know” I said
“don’t worry, I’ll go through with it” she replied
I stood up and walked to her television
“okay, you’re gonna rock it out girl” I remarked and she giggled
I took the remote and turned the TV on
I took it to a music channel and sat down beside her, hoping they will play my music
The door bell rang and the intercom system spoke up
📣room service
“go and get it” I said and removed my hand from across her neck
She stood up and went to the door
I began to change the channel
I finally saw one of my songs playing
I dropped the remote and waited for her to come
She sat beside me with a tray of chocolate snacks
“wow, it’s you” she squealed and pointed to the TV
I chuckled
“wow, you’re so talented and rich and handsome”
I blushed deeply
This was the first time I blushed because of a girl in one year
Edna doesn’t even praise me anymore
The last time she did that was four months into our relationsh¡p
I smiled as she ate the chocolates and nodded her head to the beat
“where did you make this video?” she asked
”China” I replied
“wow, yes. This people dancing are Chinese” she said looking amazed
I actually used Chinese men for the video
And the girls too
They were dressed the Chinese way as if they were going to fight Kung Fu
And they were dancing
The rap was actually meant for my mom
I was saying that I could travel all the way to China to get body guards for her
“I’ll take you to Chicago tomorrow” I said as she handed me a bar of chocolate
“I don’t understand” she replied
“I don’t want you to fly there in a commercial plane” I replied
“then how will I get there” she asked and I chuckled
“I’ll call my pilot and have him get my plane ready” I replied and took my phone
She gasped
I bet she didn’t know I have a private jet

I never knew he had a private jet

It was so classy and luxurious
I felt like a star 🌟
And now I’m in America
I kept scre-ming in the car

The streets
The weather
Even the sun was cool
I couldn’t believe it
I even had to hug Deon because of excitement
We went to the agency and I think they gave me more respect because I came with Deon
I signed the contract and everything was in place
I was shown my official car
I couldn’t hide my excitement
“Lucy, your first shooting is tomorrow in South Korea because it’s already winter there. We’ll be taking the morning flight” Zula stated on our way to the hotel
“Korea, they don’t speak English right?” I asked
“they do have their own language but they also understand English. So it won’t be hærd for me” she replied
“okay thanks” I mumbled
Deon had gone to Miami after my signing in
I suddenly miss him
Zula said I would get my drivers license soon and I’ll start driving my car
For now, a driver was hired for me
