“Felicia was raped? ” He asked with great shock staring at the twins. Felix nodded.
“Yes. She was raped by someone we all know” He answered avoiding his father’s gaze.
“Why won’t she be raped? The shameless girl sneaks out at night with no shame just to party in an ungodly manner. It serves her right. I knew she was so shameless. Thanks goodness I didn’t stop them both went I saw them sneak out yesterday. I knew something related to this would happen her. It’s great she learned the hærd way. Now she will stop fooling around with me and acting like she is the queen of this house” Emerald said out loudly with a smirk not showing any shame at all. “Look honey, stop pitying her or investigating on this matter. She will get over it I am sure and after all she is not the first person to be raped. Leave her and let’s get out of here” She went on preparing to leave. hærdly did she know how much hurt her words had caused him. He held her arm tightly and gave her a sounding clap getting her puzzled.
“You saw them sneak out and you said nothing?! ” He blasted at her with his usual harsh tone. His face turned red in anger. Without warning, another slap fell on the other cheek getting her embarrassed and upset. “You are such a mistake Emerald. I have been watching you these few days but I wasn’t really sure if my suspicions were right. I have seen who you truly are now! You have no love for my children at all. You are a mistake. You have just neglected my daughter Emerald and due to that my daughter got raped! ”
“Blame me for all I care Lawrence! ” She yelled back at him showing her true side. “I don’t regret a bit what I did to your daughter. I don’t regret what had happened to her or her mother or her brother… I don’t care a bit! I don’t even love your children at all. You don’t know how much I wanted to have my own child but no way, you didn’t want to have any other children. You had to get me stuck with this two brats. As if that’s not enough, you wouldn’t even give me that boutique I have always wanted before we got married. You bought Kinsley a car, you didn’t even think of your wife. You have so much money but for this horrible 11 years I enjoyed nothing from you. Nothing at all. I just had to be a nanny. I see why your wife left you. You can’t make a lady happy at all” Mr James shook his head realizing who his wife true character was. He felt so stupid. Emerald raised her eyebrows without caring at all if she spoke too much or not. “I am tired of staying in this house. I want to leave! I really want leave and stay with the man who truly loves me. I want to damn leave”. She stormed out of the room banging the door shut. Felix didn’t look surprised at all. His father stared back at them with an embarrassed look. The young boy expected his dad to speak on the matter but his father didn’t. He focused on Felicia instead.
“Who raped her? ” he asked calmly now.
“It was Gregory. Gregory raped her” He answered promptly. Felicia stared at her brother immediately and tried saying something but she stopped herself immediately and turned away.
“Gregory?! You mean that demon?! ”

Gregory walked into Laura’s room as she arranged her ironed clothes in her wardrobe. She caught sight of her sun and smiled watching him walk in. Her smile faded realizing the sad look on his face. She needed no one to tell him something was bothering him.
“What is it Gregory? ” She asked in confusion.
“Mum, I have to tell you something important ” He began.
“Yes? Tell me” She permitted him looking curious.
“Actually mum, yesterday… ” He was interrupted by the banging on the gate. Having a bad feeling about this, he tried deviating the matter from his mother but his mother was more interested in what was happening outside than what he’d wanted to say.
“I will speak to you later son. It seems there is a problem downstairs. No normal person will bang on our gate like that. Leave whatever you wish to say for later” She advised him and walked out. Arriving downstairs she discovered her wh0le family were already gathered waiting for she and her son to join them. In the middle of the sitting room was Mr James and Felix whose sister hid behind him nervously.
“What’s wrong Mr James? “She asked with a calm voice.
“I have tried asking him but he was so head bent on seeing Gregory” Her husband told her making her give Gregory a stare.
“Laura, you don’t control this shameless son of yours do you? ” Mr James snapped at her getting her scared at first.
“Stop raising your voice at me. What have my son done? ” He asked in shock.
“Your shameless son raped my daughter Felicia. The stupid boy did”. He accused pointing his index finger at him. Laura got disgusted by this.
“You can’t accuse my son of such. I know Gregory had ones hurt Felicia but he’d stay away from her since then. They never met each other again after that. Don’t accuse my son for such nonsense. I am sure this injustice was caused by someone”
“Felix said this himself. Felix of course can’t lie against Gregory. I am sure he had a reason for accusing him”
“Gregory will never do anything like that to a girl. Don’t you get it? You are mistaken ”
“I am not mistaken ma ” Felix defended himself scared Gregory would get away. “My sister might have be not said it but her emotions toward him proves him. She didn’t even dare let him near her ”
“That’s normal for a rape victim Felix but I am very sure Gregory didn’t do her anything. Stop accusing him falsely”
“We are just wasting our time here interrogating this matter ourselves. I am going to call the police right now. I can’t bear this nonsense anymore” Mr James said and proceeded in collecting his phone from his pocket. Gregory turned his gaze to Felicia who stared away immediately.
“Why are dragging the police into this matter? He is not responsible for her rape” She defended her son furiously. This was the least she expected from Mr James. “And you Felicia? Why are you accusing my son of this? Why don’t you snap out of your shell and speak? ”
“Felicia… “Gregory called out but she ignored. “Felicia I am sorry. I am sorry for everything I have done to you Felicia”
“Son why are you apologizing? ” Laura asked in confusion.
“I am really sorry Felicia. But please do not accuse me falsely. I haven’t done your anything and you know it. Please Felicia” He pleaded to her further but she made no movements at all. He walked to her and knelt before her feeling his ego shatter. She got surprised at this. “I know I haven’t done this to any other lady but please Felicia, tell us who really did this to you? You have to let the person get punished for his crimes”
“I have called the police. They are on their way. Gregory, keep up with the act idiot. Felicia let’s go” Her father informed him as he walked outside after his phone call with the police. Felicia gave Gregory a short stare and finally spoke up.
“Gregory didn’t do me anything. It’s all Sean’s fault ” She confessed finally choosing to let go of her fear and pain.
“What? Sean?” Felix asked in astonishment.
“Yes. Sean Was The one who raped me. He has been bothering me for long now but I never expected him to stoop this low” She explained further still gazing at Gregory.
“Felicia thank you. Thank you very much” Gregory appreciated feeling a great relief in him. She smiled weakly and nodded immediately.
“I didn’t mean to accuse you at all. I was just so much in shock and I didn’t know what to do. I had always hated you anyway so I didn’t realize when I had put the blame on you. I am sorry Gregory”
“It’s alright Felicia. Actually I don’t want us go be fighting anymore. I want no more misunderstandings between us. Can we be friends Felicia? ” He asked with a friendly smile.
“It will take a while to trust a male friend Gregory. I am sorry but no thanks ” She replied turning him down.
“I understand ” He responded giving a understanding look. Laura didn’t take the earlier scene funny at all. She gave Mr James and his children a furious stare.
“I can’t believe Felicia accused my son falsely of such a disgusting act. What have you thought your children Mr James while getting them locked indoors and where is that shameless wife of yours? ” she asked. Mr James didn’t seem to like the second question but he preferred to answer that first.
“I taught my children the right values Laura. I am not at fault at all”
“Of course you are not at fault. Then who is at fault? Your wife? Where is she? Did she do you proud? Why isn’t she here as well? ” He gave no answer. He was all silent. “I.. ”
“It’s alright aunty. I don’t want us all to fight anymore ” Felicia had cut in feeling hurt seeing the two parents argue. “I understand why there is a misunderstanding between you both but why don’t we leave the past behind and begin a new chapter? Let’s start afresh”
“No! I will never have any relations with your family. Your ego is just too high. You don’t mind getting any chance to ruin someone’s reputation. You are all the same. It runs in your veins. Leave my house now. Leave! ” She urged before racing up the flight of stairs furiously.
