Women! they’re so so annoying at times. Whatever you do for their sake, they always manage to make your efforts seem worthless or try to find some fault in the struggle you’ve gone through. They’re really unappreciative and selfish in their own judgement.
After Elizabeth left, I laid on my bed thinking about the argument we had moments ago. I was glad to see her after all this weeks but I’m at her for not believing what I just told her. It should be obvious for her to see the signs ; doesn’t she think that I loved staying in this slum for weeks hiding away from her miserable husband. I don’t care if she doesn’t believe me, she can go on and live with her traitorous husband for all I care ; although I hope she won’t be stupid enough to tell him what I just told her.
Moments later, I got out of bed and went outside to ease myself. The toilet in my house was in a very bad shape, so I used the bushes a few meters behind my house to pass out fluid waste or faeces ; whenever I was to bath 🛁, I would go to the river.

While I was urinating peacefully in the bushes , I heard some noises in,side the house and I thought that someone was going to rob . I quickly rushed back into the house as soon as I was done and by the time I got there, I saw Elizabeth standing in the room. She looked a little bit shaken not to mention the look of shock on her face. I said nothing to her, all I did was stare and wait for her to say something.

Elizabeth ➡ Luan… I… I… I want to talk to you. Please hear me out .

Luan ➡ 😒😒😒😒😒

Elizabeth ➡ I know you’re angry and you have every right to be. I should have listened to you and now I don’t know what to do.
.

Luan ➡ 😒 You expect me to listen to you. After what you said to me moments ago.

Elizabeth ➡ Please Luan.. Listen to me, There’s something I want to….
.

Luan ➡ I don’t care and I have your time, Kindly leave my house and don’t ever come back ever.

Elizabeth ➡ (shocked) WHAT? please… Luan..I…I.. Just listen to…
.

Luan ➡ OUT!!!!

Elizabeth fell on her knees after that and began to cry. She cried like a woman that has being stabbed or betrayed by someone else. Her cry of agony made me feel very uncomfortable, I just couldn’t stand by and watch her bawling 😭 it would be cruel. Without wasting any time, I approached her and helped her up on her feet and sat on her on the bed ; I lay my hands around her shoulders and back car-ssing her softly while I consoled her.

Luan ➡ It’s okay.. Stop crying. What’s wrong?

Elizabeth ➡ 😭 😭 😭 😭

Luan ➡ Come on Elizabeth, stop crying. Tell me what happened.

Elizabeth ➡ Oh Luan.. you were right. Anderson isn’t what he says he is. I’m confused 😖. What’s going on? I don’t even know what to believe.

Luan ➡ What it is? Has something happened?
.

Elizabeth kept quiet for a while before answering my question, She stared into my eye and then told what she had witnessed. I paid very close attention to what she said.

Elizabeth ➡ You said that my husband is a spy right? Well, I think you may be right. I saw and overheard him talking to Erica and he said some confusing words. His accent too was different and what scared me was that when he said his name is Wilhelm.

Luan ➡ What did he say after that?
.

Elizabeth ➡ I didn’t wait to hear the remaining words.. I came back here for you to tell me everything. Tell me Luan.
.

Luan ➡ As unfortunate as it may seem Elizabeth, it’s true. Your husband is German and I don’t need to tell you anything cause I already did moments ago. Everything you heard from me is true.

Elizabeth ➡ Dear Lord! What am I going to do now?

Luan ➡ Does he know about your friendly relationsh¡p with Erica?

Elizabeth ➡ If he did, he wouldn’t have flirted with her. That traitor, I wonder how many women he’s flirted with while he was away?

I was surprised when I heard Elizabeth complaining about her husband’s betrayal. She was annoyed that he was flirting with Erica and I wanted to remind her that her hands were dirty as well because she too had betrayed him but in all honesty I really don’t blame her ; that traitor deserved what he got.
I could vividly remember when I was in the war with him the Major and Mr.Toby, the 2 of them would visit pubs 🍺 at night and flirt with women, sometimes they would spend the night in hotels with these ladies feeling the bliss and warmth between their legs.

Luan ➡ Hmm, that’s good. I think we should use Erica to get more info about your husband.

Elizabeth ➡ He’s not my husband, not anymore. I’m done with him.

Luan ➡ What 😦!? But how are you going to tell him that? He won’t take it kindly.

Elizabeth ➡ I don’t care. I’m through with him. I’ll send him out of the house tonight.

Luan ➡ Woah, Woah, Woah. Don’t act on your emotions. Let’s think this through. If you send him out, our chance to capture him won’t work.

Elizabeth ➡ Why won’t you confront him already?

Luan ➡ We’re gathering Intel. We want to know if there are any more Germans hiding here. It would be unwise to confront him without knowing what he has in store.

Elizabeth ➡ Well, you don’t need to bother. He doesn’t have any more men, the only men he has are those 2 idiots that follow him around. That’s it.

Luan ➡ Are you certain of this?

Elizabeth ➡ Of course.

Luan ➡ This is good. Doesn’t he have any weapons with him?

Elizabeth ➡ He only has 3 pistols. He keeps one in the bedroom, one in the living room and one in his possession at all times.

Luan ➡ Very good. All I have to do is tell Mr. Toby about this.

Elizabeth ➡ Why don’t you drop in tonight and surprise him? I can get rid of the 2 guns he’s hidden.

Luan ➡ No, no, no. I can’t risk that especially with a gun in his possession. There are lives at stake and I won’t be able to forgive myself if anything happens to anyone including you.

Elizabeth ➡ So how do you want to do this then?

Before I could answer Elizabeth, an unexpected third party rudely interrupted us and that unexpected intrusion was Erica.
Both Elizabeth and I were frightened when we saw her, we thought that she was being accompanied by Elizabeth’s husband but it turns out that she here came alone.

Erica ➡ What a lovely sight. Although, I was hoping to see you two copulating.

Elizabeth ➡ Not everyone is like you Erica 😒.

Erica ➡ Whatever.

Elizabeth ➡ who’s that man you were talking to?

Erica ➡ Oh you saw what happened? Well, his name is Wilhelm and he’s German..

Erica ➡ Wow! I didn’t see that coming but you should that I disagree on what you said. Your husband is a German.

Elizabeth ➡ How do you know?

Erica ➡ It’s obvious, the signs are everywhere. His Germanic accent is too thick, he may speak fluently like a British man but he’s not one. Then there’s the boots.

Elizabeth ➡ What boots?

Erica ➡ Your husband’s boots and that of his friends. Its the exact same boot that German soldiers were.

Luan ➡ How do you know all this?
.

Erica ➡ My husband’s a US major in the american army. Before he dumped me here, I used to tag along with to the army base. A lady can see quite a lot of things there.

Luan ➡ So did you two make any plans?
.

Erica ➡ Hmm, sort of.
.

Elizabeth ➡ Elaborate!
.

Erica ➡ Well, he asked me out for a date.

Elizabeth ➡ Where and when will the date hold?
.

Erica ➡ Why do you want to know?

Luan ➡ Hmm.. 🤔

Elizabeth ➡ What is it, Luan?

Luan ➡ This date could be useful to us.

Erica ➡ How?

Luan ➡ Don’t you see? Wilhelm will be alone with Erica..

Erica ➡ Hold on, he’s not going to be alone. He’s bring his two buddies along.

Elizabeth ➡ What for?

Luan ➡ This is bad.. If there was a way we could separate him from his men..

Erica ➡ I was thinking of taking all 3 men to my house.

Erica ➡ Hear me out! You know Bernard is a very jealous man and he doesn’t want any man seeing his wife ; its a shame the poor fool doesn’t know what she’s been doing behind his back.

Elizabeth ➡ Just get to the point! Why are you bringing that pastor into this?

Erica ➡ Yeesh.. Take it easy. Once all three men are confined in my house, I’ll then bring along Jessica and Susan to keep three men company. You’ll also have a role to play in this part.

Elizabeth ➡ Which is?
.

Erica ➡ Inform Bernard that his wife and her friends are being robbed and raped in my house by Germans.
.

Elizabeth ➡ What!? This is crazy.
.

Erica ➡ No, this is good plan. if there’s anything Bernard and his racist followers hates more than a bunch of negros ; it’s a bunch of Germans. They are the enemy of the world right about now and everyone hates them.

Luan ➡ So once she alerts Bernard what then?
.

Erica ➡ He’ll come running with his buddies with rifles and guns. They’ll surround the house and take down your German traitor and his friends.

Elizabeth ➡ This plan is too risky.
.

Luan ➡ I agree. Your lives would be at stake.
.

Erica ➡ Don’t worry about that. I’ve got that covered. Just do as I say and everything will be okay. As for you Luan, when that day comes, you should be ready as well.

Luan ➡ Okay but I’ll have to inform Mr. Toby about this plan.
.

Elizabeth ➡ Hold on, supposing your plan works and Bernard believes our lie. What makes you think that he won’t come alone? Considering how jealous he is, I don’t think he would have time to rally anyone. How do you work on that?

Erica ➡ Liz, it seems you’ve underestimated my cognitive capability. I’ve already thought of that before hand and I’ve managed to solve that problem.

Elizabeth ➡ How?

Erica ➡ Tell me, what day you think Bernard and his racist followers mostly meet?

Luan ➡ In church.

Elizabeth ➡ SUNDAY!!

Erica ➡ Good, now sum it all up and see.

Despite how ridiculous Erica’s plan was, It actually made sense ; every process of her plan was clear to me and there’s a 60% chance of the plan working. Let’s just hope nothing bad happens. Just as we were about to round things up, Erica unknowingly let the cat out of the bag.

Erica ➡ By the way, did you know that Elizabeth’s pregnant?
.

Elizabeth ➡ ERICA!!
.

Luan ➡ Pregnant!? Since when? Elizabeth.. Is it true?
.

Elizabeth ➡ It is.
.

Luan ➡ So who’s the father?
.

Elizabeth ➡ Are you seriously asking me that?

Erica ➡ You’re the father, idiot.
.

Luan ➡ Why didn’t you tell me about this?
.

Elizabeth ➡ You’re seriously annoying me Luan. Just shut up!
.

Luan ➡ Okay.. So what now? Does your husband know about it?

Elizabeth ➡ Yes, but he doesn’t know it’s not his.
.

Luan ➡ Sigh! Well, we can’t afford to waste any time. We need to act now.
.

Erica ➡ We will this Sunday. We’ll just have to wait.
.

Luan ➡ I’m not comfortable with this plan of yours. I’m going to have a contingency plan in case, anything goes wrong.
.

Erica ➡ Hmph 😒! You men are all the same. Always undermining us women as if we can’t do any better than you men. Go ahead and plan your contingency plan, just know it’s going to worthless in the end.

Elizabeth ➡ So what now Luan? Are you going to keep staying here?
.

Luan ➡ Not for long. I’ll be keeping in touch with you from time to time. I need to lay low.
.

Elizabeth ➡ Fine, just be careful and don’t go do anything stupid. I’ll be going now.
.

Luan ➡ Alright then, drive safely and stay safe.
.

Erica ➡ Oh Lord, enough of this nonsense. Let’s just go already.
.

After that, Elizabeth and Erica took their leave and as soon as they were gone, I laid on my bed thinking about what was just discussed moments ago. Erica’s plan is a good one but we can’t be sure that everything will go smoothly and besides these Germans won’t hesitate to do the worst once they suspect a foul play.
My stay here is done and things have now changed. The time to act is now. It may seem hasty but after learning that Elizabeth is pregnant with my child, I just can’t afford to let her be a part of this. Things could get messy and I’d hate myself in Elizabeth was caught in the cross fire.
What I’m about to do may seem risky and Toby wouldn’t approve of it but it’s the only way to confront and take out that traitor. In that moment, I got out of bed and changed into a different set of clothes ; after that, I walked out of the house and headed to Jeremiah’s place.
