Chapter 53

FREDERICK

“Ivyyy” I scre-med hugging her tightly.

I scooped her in my arms and ran like a maniac to my car and laid her in the passenger seat while I jumped in the driver seat.

“Ivy, nothing will happen to you. Just keep your eyes open” I was continously shouting.

📞”Hello Ronald” I put my bluetooth on.

📞”Hello feddy” Ronald cheerful voice beamed from the other side.

📞”Ronald, Ivy got shot!!”

📞”What??” Ronald scre-med.

📞Yes. I am taking her to the hospital. We were at the beach when this happened. I shot the men who shot her. They are still alive, Take Aaron and a police officer with you and get them to my torture cell. I want them alive” I said and hung up.

“Ivy, Open your eyes” I squeezed her wrist.

Reaching the hospitalI jumped out and took her in a bridal style and marched in,side.

“Doctor!!! DOCTORRRR!!!!” Laying her on stretcher, I was shouting.

Within a moment many doctors gathered there and took her to the operation theatre.

“Sir, can you please wait here.” The doctor put his palm on my chest stopping me from accompanying her.

“Doctor do whatever you want. I don’t care about money. I am willing yo give you as much as you want. I just want my wife to be stable.” I shouted.

“Sir we are trying…”

“Fvck with your trying!! I want my wife conscious . Understand that!” I shouted clenching the doctor’s collar.

“Sir yes sir…” The doctor stammered and I left him.

Operation was going on and I sat on the chair with a thud.

I don’t want to lose her.

I can’t afford to lose her.

“Fredrick”

I heard someone calling me and looked upwards only to get shocked.

“IVY…” A whimper left my mouth.

“Will my death affect you? Whatever you did to me will you be able to bear that all” she was asking me with teary eyes.

“Ivy.. ” I stood up and took one step.

“No. Don’t come closer. I don’t want your sympathy.” Dhe raised her palm in the air stopping me.

“Do you remember how you locked me up in the room when I all I wanted was to eat? No!! Do you remember how you used to yank me away and insult me when I was near you when you were injured? You hurt me! You broke me and now it’s your turn to cry!!”

I moved my hand in my hair in frustration and raised my head but now there was no one.

“Ivy! Ivy!! Ivy!!!”

Painful whispered left my mouth followed by tears.

I looked from the glass door where she was fighting between life and death.

It was all because of me.

She got hurt while saving me.

Just then all my cruel antics towards her filmed in front of me making me pull my hair out in guilt.

“Don’t cry when i wont be there”

Her voice rang in my ears making more tears to slip down my cheek.

“I lost. I lost Ivy. You won! Look, I am crying. Crying for you. Can you at least come now? Please” I cried sitting down on the floor with my head in my palms.

Just then my phone rang catching my attention.

Looking at Ronald’s call, my blood boiled.

📞” How is ivy?”

📞”She is in the operation theatre.the Doctors are operating her.” My voice broke.

📞”Are you crying?”

📞”No!”

📞”Don’t lie. Anyways we have brought them here and you were right. They were to kill you but Ivy got that bullet which was supposed to be for you.”

📞”Who sent them?”

And silence overcame us.

📞”I am asking Ronald, who sent them?”

📞”Andre”

📞”Send a team and secure the sh¡p in which they are smuggling girls. I am going to Andre mansion now.” With this I hung up the call.

“Who are you?” A Guard asked me.

Instead of replying, I shot him in his leg.

I kept on shooting everyone who came my way until I reached Andre bedroom.

I kicked the door and it fell opened revealing Mr.Andre with a girl in his bed.

“What is this about?” He yelled fixing his robe.

Instead of replying I signalled the girl to go out and she ran.

With one swift motion I punched Mr. Andre so hærd making him fall to the ground.

” you ba.s.tard!” I kept on kicking and punching him.

“Because of you my wife is hanging between death and life. I will k!ll you”

I took his arm and folded it on his back.

“Aahhhh!!!”

A tik sound created from his arm.

“You want to k!ll me right? K!ll me now!! I am here in front of you.”

With this I punched him hærd in his stomach.

” Please don’t k!ll me . Please” Andre hugged his legs.

” You lost the chance of breathing when you plotted against me.”

I took my gun out and shot Andre direct in his head shattering his brains.

I picked his lifeless body and came out.

” aaron, Take the charge!!” I said on his walkie talkie and left.

Police surrounded the wh0le house.

Chapter 54

Aaron and sone guys took jewellery from cupboard while other guys threw things here and there making it look like a robbery scene.

I was moving in when ronald called reporting that they stopped their export and all the girl will be at their homes by morning.

I sighed and sat on the chair.

After an operation of four hours, the finally doctors came out.

“How is my wife Doctor?” I ran towards him.

Just then mother, Samantha, micheal came running towards me.

“She is now out of danger.”

“Thank God”

“Finally”

We all sighed.

” But…” The doctor trailed of.

” But what?” I asked.

“Because of being shot directly on her stomach, a strong damage occurred in her ovaries due to which she won’t be able to be mother ever.”

A gasp left everyone’s mouth while I fell back.

“This can’t be true!! No!!!” I shouted.

” Don’t be sad Mr. Anderson. I am not saying that there are no chances. There is still chances of her being mother but they are equal to 1%.” The doctor said.

I was shattered thinking about how I will tell her this.

Tears started flowing down my cheeks.

Because of me she got disabled.

I snatched the world’s beautiful moment from her life.

I sat on the floor with my head in my palms.

I am broken!!

I am shattered!!!

I am dying with guilt and grief!!

I have damaged her beyond repairs!!

Ivy was shifted to a private room.

One by one everyone went in except me.

I was too weak to see her.

She was still unconscious.

Everyone went back home but I was sitting beside her with no sign of sleep near my eyes.

I was continuously looking at her.

A lone tear slipped down my cheek and fell on her palm which I was holding.

Just then Ivy slightly opened her eyes.

“Ivy” I shouted excitedly.

” Why are you crying now? Weren’t you the one who said that you won’t cry if i d!e, then what happened now?” She said smiling weakly.

“You will get a slap if you say anything like this again” I glared at her.

“Seriously?” She said with naughtiness in her eyes.

Instead of taking me serious, she laughed.

Her laugh brought a smile on my face too.

I was beyond peacefull to see her smiling and laughing.

“Okay, come here” She said moving a side and patted on the space beside her.

“Why?” I raised my brow.

“Just come. Why do you like asking questions this much?” She pouted.

I sighed and sat beside her.

“Now lay down”

I rolled my eyes and laid beside her.

“Ahh!!” A whimper left her mouth as she tried to sit up.

“What the hell? Why are you sitting?” I scolded her and made her lay beside me.

“I want your arm as my pillow” She said innocently.

I nodded and put her head on my arm.

She smiled and snuggled more into me.

“Ivy, I should lay on the couch. I will hurt your wound in sleep.” I said after some moments of silence.

” no. Just stay here. Close to me”

“I am closer.Couch is not that much far.”

” No”

“As you say” I didn’t want to offend her specially not now not in this condition.

Turning towards her fully I pulled her closer overcoming the gap between us and put my arm around her shoulderd so that I won’t hurt her stomach.

“Ivy” I called upon her after some moments.

She hummed drawing irregular shapes on my chest.

“Why did you come in front of me? That shot was for me not for you!”

“I know!”

“Then?”

“If you had gotten shot then you will feel pain and i can’t bear to see you in pain.”

“So you let yourself become a victim?”

“Yes!” She said slowly.

“You know what I am right when I say you are a true duffer” I said pinching her nose.

She looked at me and I saw tears shining at the corners.

My eyes soften and what next thing I did left myself shocked.

I put my l-ips on her eyes raking her tears on them.

“Just like this I want to absorb all your pains and worries” I whispered with my l-ips still lingering on her lashes.

She smiled.

I pulled back and she hide her face in my chest.

I kept on patting her back until I felt her sleeping.

After putting my peace on stake, madam is sleeping peacefully!

I smiled shaking my head.

I don’t know what came over me that I leaned over her face and crashed my l-ips onto hers.

She startled in her sleep and I pulled back.

Then I pecked her temple and closed my eyes with the thought that of how I will tell her about her reports.

Chapter 55

Frederick

After taking medicines I entered in Ivy’s room just to shake my head in disbelief.

Ivy and Ronald were playing some game on Ronald’s laptop wh0le shouting and wailing.

“Nooooo!!! It is my turn!!” Ronald shouted.

“I lost. just give me one last time so I will play twice.” Ivy said snatching laptop from him.

“That is not a rule!!”

“It is!!”

“Ivy, this is not fair at all”

“La la la la” Ivy stick her tongue out at him.

” You guys should not forget that this is a hospital not your house.” I said seriously as I snatched the laptop from Ivy.

They both exchanged looks and then glared at me.

“Then take me home. I am tired” Ivy said while making faces.

“It is just a day and you are tired already?” I raised my eyebrow.

” Yes. When you have to live with a man like non stick pan all you get is boredom.”
She said and I glared at her while Ronald burst into laughter.

After that Ronald and Ivy talked till evening and then he left.

“Ivy, Get up and eat” I said putting a tray in front of her.

She was laying with her face covered with her arm.

” No!! It too tasteless!! I don’t want to eat.” She said not moving.

” You have to eat it because you are not well. Now get up”

” No!!” I sighed at her stubbornness.

An idea popped into my mind and I smiled to it.

“What if I feed you? will you eat then?

” yes” she smiled excitedly and raised her head with a jolt.

I controlled my laugh and nodded.

“Okay” She said and was about to sit but ended up whining.

“Can’t you wait? I was coming to help you get up.” I scolded her and put my hand around her wa-ist and the other around her shoulders hugging her and made her sit up.

“Thank you” She smiled softly.

I put the tray on her lap and sat back on the couch at some distance.

She raised a brow at me but I took my phone out ignoring her.

“Frederick”

I hummed.

“You said something.”

“Yeah I asked you to eat.”

“No you said you will feed me.” She said emphasizing.

“But now I have changed my mind when you sat up. Just eat.”

She didn’t say anything and averted her gaze.

After mailing some important files to Michael I looked up and found her looking at the food sadly.

The tray of food that I placed on her lap was untouched.

I sighed and got up knowing that she won’t eat unless I feed her .

“Open your mouth” Isaid taking cornflakes to her l-ips.

She gave me a big smile and took the cornflakes.

“You are such a drama Queen.” I pinched her nose tip.

“What should I do then ?/without drama you won’t bother to come close.” She twitched her nose.

I shoke my head.

After feeding her I made her lay again.

First time I realized how much she was craving for my touch and my closeness.

I sighed and laid beside her.

She was taken aback by my move but then she smiled and moved back making space for me.

I started patting her back and she snuggled closer putting her arms around my neck.

I could sense her smiling against my skin.

“Fredrick”

“Yes?”

“Did you cry?” She asked looking directly into my eyes.

” No. Why would I cry?” I said averting my gaze.

It was damn difficult to lie at her face and that too looking into her eyes where feelings and emotions were flowing like rivers.

“Seriously?” She said still not believing.

” Don’t take your hopes too high” I said softly.

She hummed and pulled back.

This left me shocked.

She pulled back and put her arms on her stomach laying straight.

Okay…but I didn’t expect such behaviour.

I smiled inwardly at her way of being offensive.

“Well why would you cry,you don’t even care about me.” She said after some moments.

I looked at her.

Yeah that is why I am spending my days and nights looking for you.

A thought erupted in my mind.

” You won’t also cry if I die. Instead you will be pleased to know…”

This hit me hærd and deep down I wanted to shut her and I did the first thing came into my mind.

Pulling her closer I crashed my l-ips onto her taking all her unspoken and spoken words.

Her eyes went wide like saucer and she didn’t respond.

I put my hand behind her neck pulling her face closer.

Just then she closed her eyes and reciprocated the k-ss.

Today I felt how it feels when your feelings and love stays unreciptocated and surely ìt was not a pleasant thing.

I pulled back hugged her.

She snuggled closer.

“Try to get away and back off again and you will have to face the consequences. ” I said softly.

“I would love to face such consequence”
She whispered against my chest but I heard that.

I smiled at her craziness.

“Listen” She said.

“Sleep Ivy” I said not wanting to answer her idiotic questions or more I was too shy to answer.

Shut up dear brain!!

I rolled my eyes.

First I had to answer my heart which was standing in front of me with his arms folded on his chest with a look of care-to-explain on his face.
