Chapter 84

IVY

I got up with a pinning head.

my throat was so dry.

“Mom…” I called upon her with my full might but my voice died colliding with the walls of the room.

I sighed and got up and went downstairs.

The wh0le house was dead silent.

I went towards the kitchen and took a water bottle from the freezer.

I sat on the chair placed across a small table in the kitchen and drank water.

After drinking, I took the bottle with me to my room.

I was about to place the bottle on the side table when my eyes landed on a small note placed on it.

” What is this?” I took it closer and held it in front of me.

✍🏼”First it was you who wanted to get separated but now it is me too who can’t bear your tanturms anymore. You accused me for what happened to me , let me make it very clear for you that I didn’t ask you to save me that night. In the quest of proving yourself superior you made all those things happen to you. You wanted a divorce right? Don’t worry you will get the papers very soon”✍🏼

I collided down on the floor with a blank face.

This was what I never thought about and didn’t want to go through such thing even in my worst nightmare but now I was handling it.

There was not a single tear in my eyes.

They were like a barren land where there was no ray of hope.

I stood up silently and went towards my cupboard.

All humans are bound to die someday. This is my fate.

My l-ips twitched in a sad smile.

I took a scarf and tied a knot making a circular h0le and threw the scarf over the fan tying it around the fan.

I stood up on the chair and put that loop around my neck.

This is the first time in my life when I am not worried about death.

I am not afraid of my deeds.

“I know this is wrong but… but I cant take this pain anymore. I clearly ….can’t live without him.. I am leaving him so that he can be happy in his upcoming life…I know that he will forget me…after some years and will move on… I am done!!.. This is my end…” Tears were rolling down my cheeks.

No one could say that the girl who used to shiver just by listening the mere whisper of the word ‘death’ will welcome the death with open arms.

“Time had changed me. Time had made me brave enough.” I whispered.

This is my contemplation!!

This is what I am trying to believe but it is not the truth.

I am still frightened deep down.

“My every breath and the air I am inhaling and the heart which is beating crazily and the stars and moon which are glaring at me are all my witness. They all will tell you when you will be alone in darkness that your Ivy loved you alot and only you! She is not here but still she is here. You will always remains as my Frederick and I will always be your Ivy Frederick”

I wiped my tears and closed my eyes.

My face was pale.

Hands were hanging down on my sides.

My l-ips were shivering.

“I will always love you Frederick” With this, I flinched my eye balls and kicked the chair beneath my feet.

Moments passed and my breaths started to get fatal. My lungs were grasping for air.

Just then the door burst opened revealing a p-nting Frederick.

My mom and nanny were behind him.

“Ivy” They all yelled simultaneously.

Chapter 85

FREDERICK

I quickly ran and stood beneath her putting her feet on my shoulders making her stand.

Ivy was coughing while her eyes were closing on their own.

“Move away..!!” She said with heavy breaths and kicked me making me fall.

Again her feet started kicking in the air.

“IVYYY!!!!” I scre-med and took a gun from my pocket and shoot directly at the knot making her fall down.

I quickly ran towards her and before she could embrace the floor, I held her in my arms.

She was damp with sweat.

Her wh0le body was cold as ice now.

“What did you do ivy?” I cried joining our foreheads.

“I would have died if something had happened to you!!!” I cried

I was standing in the lobby of the hospital while Ronald was walking all around.

Micheal was sitting with my mother while Aaron had went to get the medicines.

Samantha was consoling Ivy’s mother and her nanny.

“Doctor!!” I ran towards him as soon as doctor came out.

“How is my wife?”

“Well thank God that it didn’t get delayed. You saved her on time. If more some seconds have passed then we would have failed to save her but now she is out of danger. She will regain consciousness after some hours because right now she is under medicinal effects.” The doctor said and everyone felt relieved.

It was a bright morning when I was sitting on the bench in the hospital garden.

Everyone had met her but I didn’t go to see her.

I was feeling ashamed and was accusing myself for her state.

I don’t have the courage to face her.

“Fredr..” I looked up and Ronald gave me a cup of tea and sat beside me.

” Why haven’t you gone to see Her?” Ronald asked sighing.

“I can’t”

” Why?”

“I can’t face her…!!” I said with the lump firming in my throat.

“Wait. Are you crying?” Ronald said dramatically.

“Shut up already”

“My boy is crying aww” ronald grinned.

“I will ask you when you will fall in love.” I glared at him who suppressed a laugh.

” Come on dude. Ivy is all okay now. Stop sitting with a swollen face already. She was looking for you.”

“What?” I scre-med.

“Aahh!!! Do you want me to get deaf? Who will buy me new ear curtains if they will get ripped with your this ghostly voice?” Ronald slapped my head and I rolled my eyes.

” Are you telling me the truth or you are making fun of me?”

“About what?” Ronald asked taking a sip of his tea.

“She.. looking for me!!”

“Well I know that you think of me as a donkey but you know I am not that much of an idiot. I can clearly get what is someone’s eyes are saying. I am dead serious that Ivy was searching for you. We all were around her but she was restless.”

I hummed getting drowned in thoughts.

” Now stand up and go yo meet her. Goo now” he took my hand’s and made me stand up forcefully.

“Why did you to this my daughter?” My mother in law car-ssed my forehead while shedding tears.

“I can’t give him a child mother. Never ever”

After few moments of silence I broke into tears.

My pain was evident in my voice.

“Look, everything happens for a reason. Frederick started reciprocating his love for you after the accident, right?”

I nodded.

“This happened so you both can be closer to each other. Fredrick isn’t complaining that means he is okay with it. Why bother yourself? You can have a child when you feel is the right time by going to the motherless babies home. There are millions of children craving to have a parent. So don’t bother yourself my child.”

All the storms which were brewing in my mind a while ago had sat down peacefully.

I was feeling a sudden light around me.

“Now you take a rest. I am going home and will come back with food for you. I can’t trust hospital food.” Mother k-ssed my forehead and went out.

“Nothing is impossible. I will pray to God for a child.” I smiled with determination in my voice looking at the sky peeking at me from the window.
