ANDREA POV

“So how do you feel?”Max asked as we walked hand in hand to class

“Relieved”I said

“It’s like an heavy weight have been dropped “I added

“Am glad and I feel so proud of you”he said and k-ssed my cheek.

“Oh my did he just k-ss her”

“They are really dating”

“What about Rose and his engagement to her?”

Some student who were by the corridor muttered

“I don’t think we should be k-ssing in public”

“Why?”max asked

“People are starring”I said as I tried to pull my hand away

“Then let them stare, it’s best for them to know that you are mine and am yours”he said again

“Now listen up guys, Andrea is my girlfriend and we are both dating and as for Rose, she is history, the only girl I love is right here and so no one should mess with her, if you do you will be messing with me too”he said to the other students starring at us

He took my hand and we kept on walking to class.

“See it wasn’t that bad?”he said

“But have become the school enemy”I said

“Why do you say that ?”

“Am dating the most handsome and also the top of the class student and am not even part of their social class, a lot of them still hates me?”I said

“But I love you and that should be all that matters” he said and that got me hooked.

“Common let’s head to class”I said as we kept on going

We were both lost in each other that we didn’t notice Jack standing by the door.

“So the rumour is true right?”he said as he stared at our link hands

“Let’s go Andrea”Max said

“Feeling scared already ?” He asked again and that stopped Max

“What?”

“You are feeling scared Because you Know that I won’t give up, I won’t leave Andrea for you Max”he said clearly.

The only thing that am glad about right now is that the other students aren’t listening this conversation.

“You really don’t know when to stop e

Right”Max said moving towards Jack but quickly I got in front of them

“Enough Jack! Have told you there can’t be any thing between us, I love Max and i will only love him”I said

“A love which will only hurt you in the end, leave him now Andrea, it’s for your own good” Jack said

“Stop telling me to leave him, I love him and even though every one objects to our relationsh¡p, we still won’t give up, so am asking you now to stop trying to get between us,I Love max and I will always love him”I said and pulled Max into the class with me.

On seeing out linked hands, every one began to talk at the same time.

“Is it what am thinking”Geoffrey asked as he walked towards us

“What are you thinking?”Max asked as he wrap his arms around me causing the students to gasp out

“Oh my! You two are really dating?” Geoffrey said and every one began to talk at the same time

“Why don’t you go to your seat or better yet, go and get your own girlfriend and stop bothering Andrea and Max”Brenda yelled at Geoffrey who kept wanting to know more

“I will also say the same for you too”he said and Brenda gave him a murderous look and he went off to his seat.

The teacher walked in and we all went to our seats.

Jack didn’t come in and some how that got me feeling worried.

I didn’t mean to lash out at him but he kept on getting me angry with his words.

I know that being with Max will cause me a lot of difficulties but I also don’t have to hear him say it to my face and so I had lashed out at him and I don’t regret it, I thought as I focused on the class.

“Why don’t you guys head to the cafeteria first”I said

“But why?” Beatrice and Brenda asked as they both stared at me

“I have to use the rest room”I said and they believed the lie easily

Once again am lying to them and it’s all thanks to Max

I brought out my phone and stared the message he had sent earlier

‘come to the roof top,I want to talk to

You and you must do it alone, I don’t

Want Brenda and Beatrice with you’

“What is he up to now?”I asked my self as I began to head to the roof top still starring at my phone.

‘where are you? Am still waiting’

He sent another message and I was about to reply when some one pulled me by my arm and began to pull me towards the library.

“Jack what are you doing! Let me go”I said but he kept on pulling me towards the library.

“Jack stop it, let me go”I yelled at him but he wouldn’t budge.

We got to the library and when he found some students there, he asked them all to leave and I was surprised when they all left the room. He pulled me in and closed the door.

“What are you trying to do?”I asked as I moved away from him

“I only want to talk to you”he said as he moved towards me

“This is a school Jack, we can do the talking later but as of now can you let me out of here!”I yelled at him

“Not until you see how much I love you”he said

“But I don’t love you! Look I thank you for every thing you have done for me but I can’t give you what you really want, I can’t love you the way you deserve”I said and he pulled me by my arm and push me to the wall

“How am I different from Max, why did it have to be him? Why can’t it be me!” He yelled at me

“Jack you are scaring me!”I said starring up at him and then with out warning he bent and k-ssed me.

I tried to push him away but he kept on coming at me and no matter how I push at him, he kept on k-ssing me deeply.

This doesn’t feel like the k-sses Max gives me and some how I felt a bit disgusted.

I managed to push him away but he didn’t let go of me, instead he held me tightly

“You are hurting me Jack!”I said in pain

“You are hurting me too,you have no idea how hurt I feel, you have idea how much I love you”he said as he tried to k-ss me again but I managed to push him away and quickly I went to the door and opened it only to stop when I saw Max standing there.

MAX POV

Have been waiting on the roof for a while now and still there is no sign of Andrea.

Could some thing have happened or did her friends stop her from coming to see me.

I was about going to her when I heard Rose voice

“Don’t bother ,she wouldn’t make it “she said

“What are you saying?”

“If you are waiting for Andrea then you better don’t wait for her,I saw her with Jack just now”she said giving me a huge smile

“What do you mean by you saw her with Jack?”I asked

“They were heading to the library “She added

“Thanks for the info?”I said quickly taking the stairs two at a time.

I got to the library only to stop when I saw some students crowded there, I went towards the door only to find it locked.

I looked in through the door glass and i saw Andrea In Jack arms.

I got so angry and I would have kicked the door if she hadn’t come out her self.

She was surprised to see me there and feeling embarrassed she ran away and I ran after her.

I caught up with her when she was about to run into the ladies room

“What happen? What did Jack do to you?”I asked

“I don’t want to talk about it, it will only get you angry!”she said

“Just tell me what he did ?”I asked

“I don’t want to Max ,please I don’t want to you to fight with him” she begged softly

“I won’t fight with him just tell me what happen!”he asked

“Well he…he k-ssed me”she said

“He k-ssed you?”I asked and quickly she hugged me

“I don’t want any lies between us that is why I told you, so please dont fight with him”she said as she held me tight.

ANDREA POV
“What do you take me for? Some one who cause trouble?”Max asked as he pulled me back to stare at me.

“No I don’t think of you that way Max, I only don’t want any thing to happen that is why am asking you not to go to him ” I begged again.

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen, go and have your face cleaned, you look a mess”he said pushing me into the rest room.

“Max!”I called still feeling worried.

“Just go, I will be here when you return”he said and feeling reassured by his words, I went into the rest room.

I was washing my face when Beatrice and Brenda walked into the rest room.

“Are you okay?”they both asked in unison

“Why are you asking that?”I asked them

“Well Max called us and asked us to come and stay with you, he said some thing about you needing us”Brenda said.

“Where is he? Did you guys see him by the door?”I asked

“No we didn’t see him”Brenda replied and quickly I began to head out only to stop when I saw Rose and her minion coming towards us

“This is happening because of you”Rose said as she slapped my face

“How dare you hit her”Brenda and Beatrice tried to defend me but I stopped them,I didn’t want things to become worse.

“You didn’t have to hit me, you should have just talked”I said.

“It’s all because of you,Max and Jack are fighting like crazy in the hall way and that is all your fault !”She said

“What? they are fighting!”I asked shocked and quickly I ran past her heading to where the fight is taking place.

I knew some thing like this will happen,I should never have told him,I thought as I kept on running with Brenda and Beatrice coming after me.

I got to the hall way and though there were other kids there, I passed through them until I got to the front.

I was surprised to see Max and Jack rolling on the floor, hitting each other like crazy.

I would have gone to them but then the principal walked in accompanied by a man.

“What is going on?”she yelled as she stared at Jack and Max who were being seprated by other students.

On hearing the principal voice they both stopped struggling and when Max turned to look at the principal,I saw his eyes w¡dened in shock, I don’t know why but all I know is that he is surprised to see that man.

“I just asked what is going on?'” the principal said and still there was no reply from the two fighters.

“Fine then, since you won’t talk, I also won’t let you two go, off to my office and the rest of you go back to class “she yelled at us and we all scrambled off but I didn’t miss seeing the man with the principal looking at me.

He had some sort of look on his face but then he walked off with the principal and my curiousity dropped.

“So what you are saying is that the fight started because Jack k-ssed you”Beatrice asked and i nodded softly

“Am such a fool,I shouldnt have told Max, all of this is happening because I told Max about the k-ss”I said as I kept on blaming myself

“Don’t worry too much, the principal wouldn’t give them a hærd punishment, she might just ask them to do some thing else”Brenda added and some how I wished it will be that way.

The door banged open and Rose walked into the class and she had a smirk on her face, she looked at me and smiled and then she went to her seat.

“”What was that! Did she just smile?that witch needs to be put in her place”Beatrice said and quickly Brenda and I held her back.

“Just leave her alone, she is not important”Brenda said

I turned only to see Jack walking into the class, his injuries have been tended to but he still had a bruise on his left eye and am sure that it will take a while before it fadeaway

He took his seat beside me and I ignored him waiting for Max to show up too.

“What happen? What did the teacher say?”Brenda asked

“What about Max? Are you guys suspended or were you given a minimal punishment?”Beatrice asked and angrily he closed his book

“Mind your business”he said looking very angry

“If you are waiting for Max, he won’t come, he is going home and I think he will be getting the punishment of his life there?”He said smiling cruelly.

Not wanting to listen to him, I ran out of the class and went to the principal office.

I stood waiting by the door and when It was finally opened, I thought it was Max only to see that it was that man from earlier.

“Hello sir”I greeted not wanting to be rude

“Did you come to see the principal?”he asked

“I…..I actually came for some thing else but it doesn’t matter now, I will just head back to my class”I said and began to walk off but he called me back

“Those boys were fighting because of you right?” He asked but when I took long in answering he drew up his answers himself

“They were! It must have been fun right?”he asked and again I couldn’t answer because the man walked off.

It took me a while to get out of the school and when I finally got out side it was to see Max in the car being driven off.

I stood watching the car leave and some how I felt that it will be hærd to see him again.

“Common Andrea we will take you home”Brenda said

“You don’t have to, I will just take the bus”I replied

“And you think we will let you do such a thing, even though you aren’t rich like us, you now have us and so you using the bus will have to stop from today”Beatrice added

“But still I don’t want to bother you guys”I said

“It’s not a bother, just think of it as tagging along with us”Brenda added

“I don’t think so,your house is opposite to Max house, I will just take the bus, you two should take care”I said as I began to run to the bus station, if I keep on arguing with them, they will surely win and I don’t want that, I don’t feel like having any company, all I want to do now is to go back to the mansion and know what happen to Max.

“Andrea?”on hearing Jack call I didn’t answer,I kept on running but he caught up with me and held me by my hand

“Let me go!”I said trying to pull away

“Are you heading to see him?”Jack asked

“Yes, am going to see him “I replied

“Andrea I…..”

“It doesn’t mean a thing to me” I said suddenly

“What?”

“The k-ss! I didn’t feel a thing and you want to know why? It’s because of Max, my heart only beats for him,so I think its time you stop having feelings for me, I can only love one person and that is Max”I said and he let go of my hand.

“Sure!”he replied softly and head back to the school.

Seeing Jack this way makes me feel sad but there is nothing I can do, I only love Max and I don’t think I can ever love any one else and so its best he starts getting me out of his heart before he becomes worse, I thought and ran to the bus station.

I got back home only to find every one busy with work.

The mansion is always clean and every one hærdly ever do a thing but today is different.

I got change and went in search of my mom, I found her in the kitchen preparing the food as usual.

I didn’t want to return to the mansion like this, I had thought that Max will be with me but he left and why I still don’t know.

“Hello Mom”I said as I gave her a hug

“You are back”she said hugging me tight

“Yes i am, I missed you so much”i said

“And I missed you too”she said looking a bit Anxious

“Why all this? You hærdly work in the day, why are you suddenly at the kitchen?”I asked

“Well the master is back”She said

“Do you mean Max?”I asked

“No not Max, it’s his father, he is back and that is why every one is on edge like me”she said and some how I felt uneasy

I know that his mom doesn’t like me and doesn’t want me for Max but now that his father is back will I still have a chance with him,I thought softly.
