MAX POV

“What is there to talk about, the child doesn’t belong to Max, that girl is just a gold digger who was after Max wealth, we had to find a way to get rid of her some how”my father said softly

“But what If she hadn’t been lying? What if that child had belonged to Max?”my mom asked

“She lied and why are you suddenly bringing that up, it’s been so long since it happened” he said swiftly

“Just keep on forgetting it, have forgotten it already, you should do ……….”

“Max!” My mom called when she saw me walk in

“What did you just say?”I said as I walked into the room

“How long have you been there?” My father asked

“Just answer my question damnit!!”I yelled at them

“It has nothing to do with you, so just leave!”my father said

“Don’t get me more angry fatter”I yelled at him

“You see we were………..”

“Don’t say any thing to him “my father warned interrupting my mom

“It’s been sixteen years already, don’t you think we have kept it long buried enough,even if the child doesn’t belong to him, he has the right to know”she yelled at my father

And then she walked towards me,giving me a apologetic look

“Andrea was pregnant sixteen years ago “she began softly

“And?”I questioned

“She said it was yours”she said softly

“And?”

“We didn’t believe her and your father made her leave ” she finished softly

“And you think now is the proper time to tell me this?” I asked

“Is nothing to make a fuss about, the child is not even ………….”

“How the hell did you know that!”I yelled at him angrily

“Because I can tell a gold digger when I see ……….”

He couldn’t finish his word because I pushed the table over spilling all the content on it

“What’s going on ?”Rose yelled as she ran into the room

“What right did you have to do that?”I yelled at him

” Did you try to confirm if she was lying it not, Andrea was the first girl I ever loved, I was the first guy in her life,the only one!!!”I yelled out at him

“That girl is………”

“Any more insults on her would cost you a lot from me”I said

“Max you have to calm down, we didn’t mean to lie to you” my mom said

“You didn’t mean to! You did it just to separate me from Andrea, thats why she hates me, I left her when she needed me the most ”

“You are now married to Rose, you should forget about that girl…….”

“Or what? You will harm her like you threatened me before, am no longer the seventeen year old said that to, am a man now and am powerful on my own and if you dare touch Andrea or my child then I will show you what am made of “I said and turned to leave only for Rose to block my path

“If you leave,I will take Daniel with me and you will never get to see them again” she said but I pushed her away and ran out of the house,heading straight to Andrea home.

ANDREA POV

“Aren’t you going to go to work?” My mom asked as I walked down the stairs

“I will but I will be a little late today”I said

“Why?”she asked

“I have to talk to Max” I said

“And the earlier I tell him,the better”I added as I sat by the chair,dialling his number.

“What about Mary and Daniel?”I asked

“They already left for school, I will be at back yard, I have to do some gardening”she said

“Okay Mom”I said as I put my attention on the call.

It kept on ringing but he never picked, I stopped dialling when I heard the bell ring

“Mom can you get that!”I said as began to dial again but when the person at the door kept on ringing the bell, I realised that my mom already left the house.

“Just come in!”I said to who ever is there.

The door opened and i kept on dialling , a phone began to ring in the house but I didn’t notice.

My wh0le concentration was focused on calling Max and just then he answered the call

“Hello”I stopped when I heard the voice in the house too, I turned only to see him standing by the door way starring at me

“Max”I called dropping the phone in my hand

“You weren’t expecting to see me here right?”he asked

“I …….I wasn’t really expecting you” I replied

He stared at me for a long period of time and then he walked past me to take a picture of Mary.

What’s Wrong? I thought as I stared at him, he held the picture for a while and then stared at me again

“Did you really hate me that much?”he asked

“What do you mean?”I asked

“Mary is my child right?”He asked

“How do you know?”I asked

“You must really hate me “he said again

“Max! ”

“You told me she wasn’t mine, you told me that because you hate me, you made me believe that the child I had with you was never mine”he said looking so hurt

“You are right! I lied because I wanted you to suffer the same way I suffered in the past, I didn’t want you to be a part of our lives but all of that changed when you told me the real reason you left years ago, I knew you had a right to know about Mary”I said softly

“The day you called me sixteen years ago, did you know that you were pregnant already”He asked softly and i nodded

“I really am a jerk”he said as he began to sob gently

I couldn’t help but to walk towards him and pulled him to a hug.

“I should have been there for you but instead I behaved like a total jerk, I told you hurtful things and caused you more Sadness”he said as he held me close

“It’s not your fault Max,it’s not”i said as I hugged him tight

“Am sorry Andrea!am sorry for every thing that have happened to you because of me ,am really sorry about it “he kept on apologising even though he had nothing to apologise for.

“What the hell is going here?”some one said behind us.

MARY POV

“You look a bit gloomy”Daniel said as the taxi kept on driving us to school

“Me? I don’t think so”I replied quickly .

“You can tell me what is wrong you know”he said holding my hand in his

I don’t Know why but have been having a strange feeling ever since I woke up.

A feeling that some thing bad will happen and it pull Daniel and I apart.

“Am just happy Daniel, happy to have you by my side”I said,I couldn’t tell him the real reason to my gloominess.

“Like wise here darling”he said giving me a k-ss on the l-ips.

We got to school and got out of the taxi together .

Luckily there were hærdly any students and so we weren’t being watched.

Why don’t you go ahead, I will come behind you ” I said softly

“I wish we could go public already, I always want you around me and having you close by and not being able to touch you will certainly drive me mad” he said

“Me too but we can make up for it after school, we can go to the cinema or better yet to wherever you want, I noticed that you only went to the places I chose, you can chose wherever you want us to go this time”I said and he gave me a smile

“Fine then, see you after school”he said and walked in

I stood there watching him leave and some how I felt that I would be losing him.

Just what is wrong with me? I thought as I walked in a while later.

I was still walking in when some one came to pull my hand.

“James! What are you doing!let me go”I said trying to pull free but he kept pulling me until we goingt to the school parking lot

“What is wrong with you!”I yelled at him

“I should be asking you that? What are you doing with daniel? Why did you get out of the same car as he?”he asked

“It’s none of your business”I said trying to walk away but he pulled me back

“Answer me! What is going on between you and Daniel?”he asked

“We are dating! We are dating okay! I like Daniel and have chosen him “I said as he stood still starring at me .

ANDREA POV

“Can some one tell me what is going on!”Jack asked as he walked into the room

I let Max go and while he tried to get himself in order,I went towards Jack

“It’s not what you think? I can explain”I said trying to hold him but he moved away from me

“Just tell me why he is here “he yelled at me

“Don’t tell at her!!”Max said behind me

“It hasn’t gotten to your turn yet, just wait”Jack barked at Max and then turned to me

“I asked you a question right? Tell me what you two were doing together?”he said

” Nothing! Max found out that Mary is his daughter and came wanting an explanation and also he apologised and……..”

“And you just accepted it right! It was so easy for him to leave you, why make it easy for him to come back into your life!”he yelled at me

“You don’t under stand Jack,Max left because he had a reason to not because he wanted to, he told me about it and …..”

“And you are going to start off where you left years ago,are you going to go back to him?”He asked

“Am with you already, what else do you want me to tell you”I said

“Liar! I know that you will be going back to him ,I thought that the years that went by would have made you wiser but it turns out that I was wrong?”he said looking hurt

“That’s it, have had enough of listening to your rubbish, should I meddle now?”Max asked starring at me

“You don’t have to?am leaving as it is! have seen enough for today”he said as he walked out of the house.

Not wanting things to end that way, I went after him.

“Jack you can’t go like this! I mean it, there is nothing going on between Max and i “I said

“I doubt that and you don’t have to worry, I saw this coming Andrea” he said and got into the car.

I felt bad watching him leave, why did he have to come when max and I were hugging.

“Has he left?”Max asked as he stood in the room

“Yes, he was sad and I feel bad for it”I said

“It’s not your fault and he is meant to believe what you have told him”Max said

“I know but with what he saw I doubt if he will believe me”I said

“Well he should be rest assured,I have no intention of being with you again, if am here it’s only because of Mary, I want to get to know her better, at least I can be given that , Right?”Max said and I nodded softly

“Once she gets back from school, we will talk about it”I said

“Fine then, I will wait If you will let me to”he said and gently I nodded.

MARY POV

“So you are dating Daniel now!”James asked looking sad

“Yes I am,we started dating recently”I replied gently when I saw his expression

“James I……”I tried touching him but he moved away from me

“You chose Daniel after all, there is nothing I can do right?”he asked

“James don’t be like this! there are a lot of girls out there, you will surely meet some one who loves you”I said

“You keep on asking me to go to other girls but I don’t want that, I only want you can’t you see that?”he said and walked off.

I stood starring at him, I really feel bad and some people will call me crazy for picking Daniel over James but Its Daniel my heart beats for,I just can’t force it to beat for James and I would be lying if I decide to date him instead.

“Class today was some thing of a bore right?”I asked as Daniel and I walked back to my house

“No, I enjoyed every piece of it “he said

“That’s what a book warm will always say”I said softly and he smiled

“Wont you go back home?”I asked

“Not until I walk you back home and who knows, your mom might let me stay at your place again”he said giving me a smile

“Not on your life, you need to go back home and besides I told her that it will only be for a day, so don’t ruin the only chance you have got “I said and he stopped pulling me into his arms

“Do you know that you look very beautiful today?”he asked

“Are you just noticing?”I asked

“Of course not, I know that you are very beautiful and that is why i fell for you but you became more beautiful when you started dating me, could it be my doing?”he asked and i punched him lightly on the arm

“Your crazy”I replied softly

“I love you”he said softly and that erased the smile from my l-ips

“I thought my feelings was just based on liking you but having you here right now,I know that I love you, I love you so much Mary”he said hugging me close

“You don’t have to give me your response now,am fine with you just liking me but I know that some day I will get you to love me back, as long as we are together”he said and I nodded gently

“Common let’s go “he said as he pulled me off.

We got to our house only for him to stop,starring at car which was parked in front of our house

“What’s he doing here?”Daniel asked

“Who ?”I asked

“My father! That car is his”he said softly

“Maybe he came to get you ?”I said as I held his hand

“What are you doing?”he asked

“You need to talk to your father, you two have to talk”I said as I pulled him to the house

“She is here?”I heard my mom say as we walk into the house

I saw my mom and Daniel father along with my grandma all seatted at the sitting room starring at us.

“What are you doing here?”Daniel father asked starring at Daniel

“Do you know him?”My grand ma asked starring at my dad

“Of course! Daniel is my son”he said starring at Daniel

“This cant be?”I heard my grand ma say

“What do you mean by that mom!”My mom asked

“He can’t be your son because the both of them have some thing going”my granny said breaking our secret to every one

“What!!!”both our parents said starring at us

“Is this true Mary!”my mom asked and deciding to own up to the truth,I took hold of Daniel hand and he grasp my hand tightly

” Yes mom, Daniel and I love each other and………”

“You two can’t be together!!!”my mom said cutting me off

“If it’s because I have to face my study and………”

“It’s because you both are siblings”Daniel father said

“What?”both Daniel and i asked at the same time.

I stared at my mom,waiting for an explanation and i hope that her explanation will be some thing different, that it wouldn’t be what Daniel father said

“You both are siblings my dear” she said nodding to the fact.

DANIEL POV

“you both are siblings my dear” Mary mother said and I felt like my world is about to collapse

“I can’t believe this! I just can’t!”Mary said as she let go of me

Her hand in mine had made it feel warm but now that it was empty, it felt cold.

“It’s the truth Mary, I am your father”My dad said making it all clear to us

“So the first love you were talking about was my mom?”Mary asked as she began to cry softly

“Yes,your mom was my first love”He replied softly.

Apart from finding out that the girl I love is my sibling, I also found out that the woman who have haunted my parents marriage is also Mary mom.

“No! This is all a lie to separate Daniel and I, you don’t believe them right?”Mary said as she held my hand once again but I couldn’t say a thing

“You both are siblings, Max is your father ”

“No no no……I refuse to believe this?”Mary yelled out in anger

“My dear…….”

“Don’t you call me that? Don’t you dare call me your dear, you are not my father okay! I refuse to accept that”Mary yelled at my father.

“Mary please calm down and listen, give them a chance to tell you every thing “her grand ma said

“I don’t want to, all I know is that this man is not my father, he is not!!!”She said and ran up stairs with her mother running after her.

I stood starring at my father who was also starring at me

“Daniel…..”he began but I didn’t wait to listen, I ran out of the house.

I just can’t believe that Mary is my half sister, I just can’t believe it, I thought as I kept running.

Still thinking about what happened a while ago, I walked into the streets and I was too late to avoid the car which was driving in full speed.
