PART 30
After packing my clothes and shoes, I picked up my traveling necessity and didn’t leave my toiletries behind.

The door opened and Victor stood by the door, he rested his back on the door staring at me.

“Are you sure about this?” He asked and I turned to look at him.

“I can never be more sure,” I responded smiling faintly.

“You need to know something before you leave then. I will wait for you to come back, I promise.” He said and I shook my head.

“Don’t wait, Victor. I may not come back at all.” I responded and his mouth dropped open.

“What? Why? I thought you were just leaving for a break.” He stated and I bobbed.

“I know that of course. If I love my life there, I won’t come back Victor. There is nothing I am coming back to.” I told carrying my bags and stepping out of the room.

“Our marriage.” He stated and I scoffed and looked at him.

“There is no more us Victor and you know it. We married very young and that was so stupid of us. We didn’t know what we wanted, we weren’t sure. Now we know we are two different people that can’t make one. You need to find someone of your own. Things can never go back to the way they were.” I explained and all he did was stare at me.

“We all have our mistakes, marriage isn’t something we just jump into. It takes time and more than love. I pray you to find someone of your own Victor. I promised to visit you one day, but that would be in the future. I need to be away from here for now.” I added and he gulped nodding.

“Okay.” He uttered. That was the only thing he could say, who knows why? Maybe he was trying to process all of what I said. But that isn’t my business anymore, I have made my point.

I stepped out of the house and headed to my car. I started filling it up with my luggage.

“I hope my story can be a lesson to the others. As women, we need to be super observant when it comes to our partner. I never knew Victor was the predating type on the bed, I should have figured before and after he showed me that BDSM video clip, but I chose not to because I loved him. One mistake I would never make in my life again.”

“As for Timi, God, I love him so much but I am not worth him. He needs someone that doesn’t have this kind of past. Sleeping with a stranger when she had a husband? He deserves better, he has always been good and he needs someone who is that good. I don’t even know myself anymore, I can’t let him figure that out for me too. I wish him all the good luck in life. I would never forget nor regret my time with him.”

I hopped into the car and drove out of the mansion. I stared at it for a while and tears rolled down my eyes before finally driving off.

I watched her drive out of the compound and all I did was stare. “It was all my fault, I should have never kept such a thing from my wife.”

“I was scared, I feared she would hate it and leave me afterward.”

“Didn’t she leave at the end of the day?”

“I should have been more courageous and plain about who I am to her before letting our love grow deep. I was a coward, I thought I could cover that beast till the end of my life but I was wrong.”

“The best thing for her to do is leave. Maybe we aren’t meant for each other after all. This is a great lesson to me as a person, I would never keep the real me from the partner. SECRETS DESTROY MARRIAGE.”

I walked into the house and headed to the bar immediately, poured myself liquor, and started drinking.

“I watched Sharon drive out of the compound with tears in my eyes. I felt she was never going to come back, it was painful but something in,side me told me it was the best thing for them. Though it didn’t seem like the best thing for me.”

“I have decided to do exactly what Granny told me. If she is mine, she would come back for me. And if she isn’t, she is gone for good.”

“I would continue with my life, I won’t rub myself of my happiness and I would never forget Sharon. I pray and hope she is happy anywhere she had decided to go.”

“I pray the man she finally decides to settle with would be one that knows and worth her.” I thought cleaning my eyes.

“Don’t worry son. This will pass away too, you two met for a reason. You saved her from her marriage and that is enough. You are a good man Timi, don’t let you suffer. Better things are coming okay?” Granny said behind me and I turned to look at her and smiled.

“Thank you, Granny,” I replied and she smiled and walked away dragging her feet on the ground.
I turned to look at the house again and smiled faintly.

“Goodbye Sharon,” I mumbled and walked away from the window.
