ABORMINATION EPISODE 5.
Since Agbele was no where to be found and the death of his 2 elder brothers, Her parents condition became worst. Sometimes they would stay for 2days without eating anything. Tears became their daily water. Mama Ummy their neighbor was the one encouraging them to move on with their lives.
Sometimes the woman would be the one to cook for them. After like 9 months before Agbele Dad started managing himself to farm. Even when he was at the farm he couldn’t work. He was remembering how his 2 boys would not allow him to work, how they use to share the work with themselves and sometimes how they use to do competition who will take first in today farm without involving money. The only thing they do, any one who take last would not eat meat for two days.
Because they eat together. The man was just crying as he was remembering everything. Those boys do behave like twins. The snake actually strike one of them. The second one Adama couldn’t go. He wanted to safe his brother. That was how the snake strike him too. The man Mr Ocheje broke down at the farm with tears. He was they talking to himself. God u see me, u left me and took away my children, my joy, my hope and my everything. God u should have take my life instead of my children. No ooooo the man scre-med.
The man quickly pull off his trouser tore it in form of rope. What actually came to his mind was suicide. He went to a tree. Talking to himself. God even if I lived for donky years I will soon die one day. It is better for me to die now than this pains and frustration. This pains is much for me. The man was about to commit suicide when Baba Unubi saw him and took him home. Baba Unubi was surprised with the way Agbele mom was behaving. She was doing as if she is not normal.
Everything Baba Unubi was saying the woman was just saying yes. That was when Baba Unubi knew there is a big problem. The death of their children and Agbele disappearance really affected them. Baba Unubi quickly called the attention of Mama Ummy their neighbor. Baba Unubi ran home, told his wife everything, ran back and stay with them to also take care of them. In the midnight Agbele Dad Snick out, climb a tree in his compound to the last edge , threw himself from there. He Hit his head and his shoulder on the ground. It was the shout that woke Baba Unubi. only bicycle that was available.
Baba Unubi used rope and wrapper tight Mr Ocheje at his back on the bicycle as it was the only means to rushed him to the hospital. Blood was just pumping from his eyes, ear and his nostrils. Before they got to the hospital the man died 😭. Agbele mom was not even on herself before her husband died. She was just looking as people came to sympathize with her. The woman was just wondering what people are doing in their compound.
That was the only thing she could remember. Some people that never know what happened to her would cry came to her. She would just be looking at them. After the man burial Baba Unubi a friend to her husband took Agbele mom to one village far from their village for herbal medicine. Agbele on the other hand. Things became difficult for her as Papa Emeka was attacked by an animal the night Agbele gave birth.
The doctor even try for her as no one came to pay for her hospital bill when she gave birth. The doctor just free her to go without paying any kobo.Papa Emeka was just crying he knew is not going to survive the injury. No enough money to take him to the hospital. The little money with them is what they used to buy some drugs and small food stuffs at home.
Agbele was the one bathing her baby by herself. After 5 months Papa Emeka also join his ancestor. The death of Papa Emeka really hit Agbele hærd. It was Papa Emeka co-hunter and few of his family members that buried him. It was a poor burial.Agbele couldn’t stop crying. All her hope, her plan to go back to school was aborted. After 6 months, one of Papa Emeka uncle came, send Agbele away. The man also sold everything. Agbele parked in to one uncompleted building in that same area.
The hunger was much and also to take care of her child became difficult for her. Most times Agbele begged to feed herself and her baby. As the little money Agbele gathered from her begging complete for her transport, she transport herself back to her village.
