EPISODE 19
Blade and Jeff were on their way home and as usual, they were chattering around as Jeff was clearly in a good mood, after having the issue on the rape stuff settled, as he had promised to help the woman look for her child and make sure the criminal was brought to book.

They were on their way as both were seated in the front seat, while Blade handled the wheel and Jeff was at the other side in front.
.
Blade started having that exact feeling of Deja Vu, he had the other day they were attacked. He suddenly became uneasy, he was looking around while driving.
.
Blade signaled Jeff to keep quiet and Jeff immediately as he had the pricks, when he remembered what occurred the other day. As he himself became vigilant.

Charles on his own slept off, a little bit and had a bad dream, where Blade and Jeff were shot, and Jeff was still alive because the he was shot wasn’t critical, but Blade died, He rushed forward as he knelt down and had Blade cuddled in his arm while he cried a river and howled in tears like a baby, while blood flowed from Blade’s neck.

He immediately woke up and jumped up in like fashion as he rushed down the stairs, while putting a call across to Jeff and Blade but none of them were answering and that got him really worried as he picked his car keys and drive out in search of them.

Meanwhile, around the vicinity that Jeff and Blade were, on top of a very high building a sniper man was positioned there as he was poised to shoot, his sniper calculation radius was already fixed on Jeff’s head and upon count down he pulled the trigger, as the bullet shot out.
.
As if by coincidence Blade looked up as he really had an eye for snipers and could easily locate one but it was already too late, he saw a man sprawled up there,, directly in target, and he immediately matched the brake and dived in front of Jeff as the bullet hit his chest, while blood pumped out. everything was just like a Dream as it all occurred in a nano second.
.
Jeff shouted, as he saw that a bullet from an unknown source had hit Blade and he would have been the one shot if Blade hadn’t taken the bullet for him.
.
Blade covered his chest region with one of his hands to as he kept on coughing out blood, he still grabbed the wheel like a mad man and accelerated backwards.
.
The sniper man didn’t bother shooting a second time as he packed up his instruments into his box and made his way out of the area. As one point about an assassin was if you failed in your first strike, it was better to pull off as the second strike won’t make much of a difference, as he had lost that instrument of surprise, which was the best opportunity.
.
Blade drove out of the point of danger in a neck breaking speed as he saw himself gradually losing consciousness and the pain quite unbearable as he just wished for death, while Jeff on seeing that yelled for him to stop, so he could take over.

He managed to crawl over and give Jeff a chance to the drivers side, while Jeff drove speedily towards the nearest hospital, as Blade lost consciousness, due to over bleeding.

Jeff was still concentrated on the road, when a call came through and it was from Charles.
.
He picked up and told Charles what’s going on and that Blade was on deaths door post. He told him the hospital to find him.
.
Charles nearly ran mad, as he heard what Jeff said as he lost all decorum in driving rules, he drove recklessly through the road, as he received multiple curses from motorists, as he caused a full traffic jam on the road as screeching sounds from drivers forcefully stopping their car from collision assaulted the air.
.
Without even looking back to see the ruckus he had caused, he zoomed off.
.
When Charles got to the hospital, Blade had already been placed in an emergency ward.
.
He hurriedly closed the car door without bothering to lock it and ran towards Jeff who was walking around the reception point in a dejected manner.
.
“Jeff, how is Blade?”
Charles asked hurriedly as he rushed towards him.
.
“To be frank his condition is anything but favorable. He is now in a life support machine and his chance of survival, according to the doctor is not up to ten percent.”
Jeff said as Charles was covered in cold sweats when he heard him.
.
“Please can you take me to him?”
He asked the doctor and he agreed but told him not to disturb him.
.
On getting there and seeing Blade’s condition, he cried like a kid.
“I will wait for you. we have an unfinished mission, we have gone through things worse than this, I know you would make it.”
He said as he watched the unconscious Blade who lay lifeless like a statue without any sign of life in him.

Charles suddenly stood up as his eyes turned blood red.
.
“I will avenge you Blade. That name Merciless has really been forgotten for a while, as if mentioned in antiquity. You eight old men, had really made a baaaaaad move. He who the gods want to destroy they first make blind. You have really backed the wrong horse, your deaths shall be so miserable.”
Charles said as he walked out of the ward in a serious and determined manner.
