That evening Jennifer took them by surprise to return the sneakers,
“Hi You didn’t tell us you were coming, Daniel said opening up for her.

“I didn’t plan to but I just decided to, thanks for your help, Jenny replied stretching the bag to him.
“Aren’t You coming in? Daniel asked.

“Nope, I have to hurry up to somewhere now, Jenny said.
“That quick? Theodore asked coming out to meet them.

“Ermm yes, Jenny replied and Theodore suddenly scre-med and ran in.
Daniel confusedly ran in to find out what the problem is which Jennifer joined him too only to see Theodore on the floor laughing.

“When last did You go for check up Theodore? Daniel angrily asked.
“What’s wrong with him? Jenny asked scared.

“I knew you were lying so I had to come up with something to make you come in, Theodore replied still laughing and Daniel hissed.
“He’s always mad this way, we need to order for his medicine soon, Daniel said going to close the door.

“Like seriously Theodore you did that on purpose? Jenny asked still trying to get herself back.
“Yea in this house, Daniel made everyone mad. He taught me that trick, Theo replied.

“F-ck you! Daniel shouted and left for his room.
“But that was too serious and you laughing this hærd makes it more amazing to me, Jenny said and slowly sat down.

“Why did you refuse to come in? Theodore asked putting on his serious look.
“Nothing, I don’t just go to people houses, She replied and he nodded.

“Interesting. The coordinator of the model stuff met me today, he said the lecturers wants you to contest because there will be a cross contest between schools and they are hoping You will make the school proud, Theo said.
“How is that possible and how are they sure about that? Natasha is capable isn’t she? Jennifer asked.

“To them she isn’t sound academically, she’s only good in the fashion aspect, Theo replied.
“Then good for them because I am not interested, Jenny replied.

“Can you give me one reason why you’re strongly against it? Theo asked.
“No reason, I don’t just want it, Jenny replied.

“Jennifer, is there anything you’re not telling me? Theodore asked.
“Theodore I need to go now, Jenny said getting up to go.

“Am I really your friend Jennifer? Theodore asked and she stopped.
“Why that question? Jenny replied.

“Because you’re hiding something from me, and I don’t seem to understand why you can’t say it to me if truly i am your friend. But its fine and sorry for bringing this up again, I’ll go open the door for you, Theodore said and left to the door opening it for her while she slowly stepped out confused and left.

“Is she truly hiding something from you? Daniel asked coming down.
“You can see that for yourself, Theo replied.

“But why? I don’t really understand what’s she’s really hiding that is making her behave that way or not to trust us, Daniel said worried.
“I won’t ask her about it again. Let her go ahead and hide it but one thing for sure is I don’t trust her and nothing serious can happen between us, Theo said gulping down water while Daniel looked at him weak…………..

Jennifer got home and noticed her friends were not at home, she fell on the bed crying her eyes out as what happened months ago replayed to her face.
‘Am I just scared this is going to happen to me again because I don’t think I can survive it if it does, Jennifer said in her heart closing her eyes tight.

Her phone began to ring and it was her mom calling,
“hello mom, she picked up.
“Jenny were You crying? Her mom dictated the tone in her voice.

“Am just in a dilemma here and I don’t know what to do, Jenny replied.
“Common talk to me, what’s wrong? Her mom asked.

“The school wants me to contest as a model, now considering my past i am so scared, Jenny said and her mom heaved.
“What happened wasn’t really a good one. You messed up big time yes, but you can correct it, what do you think? Her mom asked.

“You think I can go for it? Jenny asked.
“Yes dear, but just be careful to avoid such a history. Don’t be scared dear, you can do this, her mom replied and Jenny sniffed feeling a bit relieved hearing that.

“Thank you mom, Jenny said.
“Was that why you were crying? Put yourself together and put whatever happened in the past behind you. its cool to see my baby always ruling wherever she goes, her mom said and Jenny smiled.

“You think so? Jenny asked.
“Yes and am so proud of you, her mom replied.

“Thank you mommy, thank you so much, Jenny said almost laughing.
“That’s good, take good care of yourself and don’t worry too much, Her mom said and the line went dead………………

On Monday the coordinator met with Theodor to ask if he could convince Jennifer to accept, “well i did talk to her but she bluntly said no. Please don’t tell me to push further because i won’t, Theodore replied.

“Its no problem, what about you? He asked.
“Do i have a choice? Theo asked and he smiled.

“Thanks for that, we’ll be having the next meeting today and screening will soon begin. We are going to be on a fast lane this time around, the coordinator said.
“Time please? Theo asked.

“3pm, he replied.
“Till then, bye, Theodore said and left.

Few minutes later Jennifer arrived quite in a hurry and the coordinator met her,
“Jennifer Marks right? He asked..
“Yes good morning sir, she replied.

“Morning, I am still yet to know why you are running away from the modelling, is there anything we need to know so we can understand with you? He asked.
“Actually i did run away but I’ve changed my mind. When is the meeting? Jennifer asked and he was surprised to hear that.

“3pm today, nice choice, the man said.
“Thank you, what about the venue? She asked.

“You’ll be texted about that. Can i have your number? He asked bringing out his phone and she typed it down for him.
“Alright bye, Jennifer said and ran off……………….

“Did i hear you say you’ve accepted? Joy asked when Jennifer told her about it.
“Yea or should i change my mind? Jenny asked and Joy scre-med happily.

“You just gave me my birthday gift Jenny, thank you, Joy replied and Jennifer eyes bulged out.
“Oh my God is it today? Jenny asked.

“Tomorrow, Joy replied.
“Why didn’t you tell me about it? Jennifer asked.

“But i did, Joy replied.
“At least a reminder dear. What do you need for a present? Jennifer asked.

“Just be the queen, I want to be the best friend of the queen, can you do that for me? Joy asked and Jenny smiled.
“Silly girl, gotten a cake yet? Jenny asked and her mood suddenly changed.

“What’s wrong? Jenny asked.
“There will be no party tomorrow. Everyone is broke at home that’s why i didn’t bother to remind you, Joy replied Jenny held her.

“Its gonna be okay alright, Jenny said and hugged her………………..

3 pm arrived so quick and Joy happily volunteered to drop Jennifer off at the venue,
“Bye Queen, Joy said waving at her and Jennifer got in and Theodore surprisedly saw her.
“Oh here she comes, the coordinator said referring to Jennifer.

“Sorry i think am late, Jennifer said.
“A model must keep to time, Natasha said with a smirk.

“Please sit down, The coordinator said pointing a seat for her and they got to work.

1 hour later they were done with the meeting and Jennifer went to Theodore,
“surprised huh? She asked smiling.
“You never wanted to, Theo replied.

“Yea let’s say i wanted everyone to believe that, but hey pray this ugly face should surface the winner, Jennifer said smiling.
“Sure that will be a terrible Catastrophic, Theo replied and they burst out laughing.

“Catastrophic indeed, so you’re not mad at me anymore right? Jenny asked.
“Mad at you? I and Daniel are already mad, adding another madness to it will be deadly, Theo replied and Jenny laughed.

“You can say that again, common let’s go, Jennifer said and they left together.

Damian and Natasha was nearby looking at them as they laughed and walked together,
“What do you think? Natasha asked him.
“I can’t think of anything now, i am just pained, Damian angrily replied.

“Keep that aside and look forward to our plans, Natasha said and tapped his shoulder…………..

Episode 24.

The next day Joy entered the class and got a surprise birthday song from her course mates, “happy birthday darling, make a wish, Jennifer said dropping a cake while Joy looked shocked.

“How did you come up with this? Joy whispered.
“Is that a wish? Common make a wish before the lights goes off, Jenny replied and Joy closed her eyes for few seconds and blew the candle while the class clapped for her.

She fell on Jenny hugging her tight as tears filled her eyes,
“what’s that dear? Were you thinking you won’t cut a cake today? Not when am here, Jenny said cleaning her eyes.
“Thank you, Joy whispered.

“Don’t thank me too much, thank Daniel, Jenny said and Daniel entered with Theodore.
She hugged Daniel immediately and he gave her a peck,
“so now you’re a full blown adult, happy 18years baby, Daniel said and she laughed.

“Thank you, thank you so much everyone, Joy said.
“You’re welcome. Don’t worry the celebration will be after the lectures, but for now let’s keep this aside and get set for lectures, Jenny replied.

“Alright then, you’ll be back right? Joy asked Daniel.
“Sure, bye dear, he said k-ssing her and left with Theodore who was busy smiling at Jennifer………………..

At 2:30pm the students of Parasitology gathered to celebrate with her and Daniel used the opportunity to make their relationsh¡p official,
“Make sure you don’t corrupt my kid sister, Jenny shouted.

“She’s an adult now mhen, Daniel replied laughing.
“OK still in the spirit of making our relationsh¡p official, I and Gladys are official now! Thompson shouted holding Gladys hand while they shouted for them.

“Next! Daniel shouted and 4 guys stood up introducing their girlfriends to them.
“Theodore what are you waiting for? Daniel shouted at him.

“Huh me? Theo asked as the students were already clapping and cheering at him.
“Yes you, common we need to know your girlfriend, Daniel replied.

“Yessssss, the students shouted.
“This is embarrassing, look you don’t need to tell me to introduce my girlfriend I will do that at the right time okay. For now congratulations to all of you, Theodore said.

“You better be quick about that, Daniel said.
“Silly boy, Theodore replied laughing…………….

After the party Theodore dropped Jenny off at home and Treasure saw them,
“Hey you are not telling me what is going on between you two, and why are you coming back now? She asked.

“Ma we had a birthday party at school, please don’t start cause am tired now, Jenny said going in.
“What about you and Theodore huh? Treasure asked and Jenny was pissed off already.

“What exactly do you want to hear! Jenny shouted.
“What you’re hiding! Treasure shouted back.

“So you’ll do what huh? OK fine I love him, I don’t know if he feels the same way for me but I don’t care as long as we are cool this way. Are you okay now? Excuse me, Jenny said and went in,side passing Annabel who was confused.

“What’s wrong with her? Annabel asked Treasure.
“I don’t know, Treasure replied with a frown………………

The next day the reports was submitted and they were so happy that its finally off their necks,
“So what next now? Jenny asked Theodore.

“Oh yea, some of the contestants were screened off and we are just left with 2 males and 2 females now to contest, Theodore replied..
“What! That quick? Jenny asked.

“They have never been this fast, but they are running out of time anyway and they need no too much protocols, Theo replied.
“So I guess I was screened out too right? Jenny asked.

“You wish. You are against Natasha and Damian is against me, tough ones right? Theo asked.
“What are we going to contest for then? Jenny asked.

“The portal will be open tomorrow for the students to start voting who they want, the highest votes stands a better chance while the lecturers and school authority makes the final decision, He replied
“Ouchhhh, I barely know the students, who’s gonna vote now? Jenny asked and he smiled.

“You have our department support for sure and don’t worry too much okay. Let’s go out, Theodore said.
“To where? She asked.

“Common lets go questioner, Theo replied holding her hands to the car.
“Hope the place gonna be good, Jenny said and he opened the door for her and drove off…………………

He took her to a boutique and she looked at him surprised,
“OK sir why are we here? She asked.
“OK ma’am, we need this clothes for our studio shoots, answered? Theo replied and she smiled.

“I almost forgot about that, she said.
“Good one there, now let’s see what they got, Theo said taking off the seat belts.

“But am not with cash here, Jenny said.
“Are you kidding me? Common let’s go, Theo said and she happily left the car.

A lot of designer clothes and shoes were bought and Jennifer hair was styled which gave her a more glamorous look.
Theodore couldn’t help but steal glances at her, and when Jennifer turns smiling at him asking how she looks on the Dress, he’s always speechless.

“Will this do? Theo asked seeing the clothes packed in a bag.
“Yea please its okay. This jacket will look so good on you, what do you think? Jenny asked placing the jacket on his body and he slowly held her hand.

“You’re beautiful, he whispered looking at her which she only smiled not knowing what to say……………………

“Hello, Natasha said meeting with a young guy who Lydia arranged for her.
“Yea welcome, he replied.

“Thank you, I hope by now you know why you’re here? Natasha asked.
“Why are you doing this? He asked.

“Common you don’t need to ask that. I need the video of her, Natasha said.
“I don’t have it anymore, I mean why should i still keep that? He asked.

“What made you made the video then if you can’t keep it? Natasha asked and he rubbed his head.
“I was paid okay, I was only doing my job, he replied.

“And you need the money for your mom treatment, I can give you double, Natasha said and he scoffed.
“I can’t do any video with her anymore, he replied.

“But you can get the previous video. Am not satisfied with the nudes and i understand the video was not posted in her previous school yet she was that dealt with. I need the video and you have to do everything possible to get it and the money will be paid immediately, Natasha said and he weakly rubbed his head looking at her.

“What has she ever done to you girls? Before it was Perpetual who pursued her tooth and nails and ended everything about her just for a guy, now what’s your reason for doing this? He asked.
“Its not for you to know, just do your job and drop the sympathy cause it won’t pay your bills. And be fast about it, the ceremony is just by the corner, make it memorial again okay, Natasha replied smiling at him.

“Be a good guy, Lydia said touching his cheeks and left with Natasha………………..

Theodore got home pacing around with a glass of wine and Daniel stood behind him watching him quietly,
“What are you looking at? Theodor asked him..

“Just enjoying the way you’re exercising, Daniel replied and sat down.
“I can’t hold this anymore Daniel, am loosing it, Theo said.

“What are you talking about? Daniel asked.
“Stop pretending like you don’t know, its Jennifer, everyday with her am consumed with her love and I don’t know what to do, Theodore replied.

“Then tell her how you feel, it won’t be difficult because she feels same. I hope you’re not waiting for her to make the first move? Daniel asked.
“No its just that……… Oh God i wasn’t expecting I’ll fall in love with her this much, Theodore said.

“I see pride talking, yea i can remember you bragging how you’ll never fall for her and i know that’s what is keeping you from approaching her. swallow it bro, that was in the past, Daniel said.
“Fine, am not proud okay so stop saying what you don’t know. I’ll surely tell her how i feel and that will be soon, very soon, Theodor replied.

“Am sensing that soon to be on your coronation day right? Daniel asked.
“Perfect time, Theodore replied and they laughed together.

“Am so happy for you bro. Love indeed is a beautiful thing, Daniel said.
“See who is talking about love now, just shut up okay, Theo replied

“You’re just jealous, go open up to Jenny and stop giving yourself unnecessary stress, Daniel said and his phone began to ring.
“Awnnn my sweetheart is calling, see you soon okay, Daniel said running away while Theodore shook his head smiling as Jennifer picture reflected on his head……………………
