Enya sat by her window, staring out at nowhere. She had finished taking her bath, little water from her hair dropped to her back.
She misses Riguez. He had gone to Pendamour to meet with her parents for the case at hand.
She was likewise terrified of his safety, if Anna would hurt him even before he gets there.
She was beginning to wonder if she was the only one with a sister like this.
It would have been safer if she had a brother and Arwen, none of this would have been happening.
She folded her hair to one side, squeezing out the little water contained in it.
She brought her cream from her wardrobe, applying a little on it. Then she brushed her hair with her tooth comb, dressing it in a french style.
She rubbed her l¡pstick and a little powder, spending about three minutes of her time staring at herself at the mirror.
Within this three minutes, she thought of Riguez’s safety. She wasn’t comfortable, her heart troubled and beating hærd against her chest.
Who is Anna after now? Her or… her husband??
” Joana?” She called, and quickly Joana was in.
” Yes, My Lady. ” She said with a bow.
” Let’s take a walk, I am feeling unease in here. ”
” Okay. ” They left the room, and out of the castle for a walk. ” Is there a problem, My Lady?” Joana started.
” Do you think there is?” Enya asked back.
” I do not know. But with the way things seems to be going on, I think there is. ”
Enya looked at her for a while.” I wish there isn’t… at all.”
” Is it so serious?” She asked.
” Yes.”
” Would you mind talking about it?” She inquired, ” You don’t have to if you don’t want to. ”
” If I betray you because you’re just a mere and pathetic slave who would do nothing but follow orders and then, I took the most important thing away from you… If you had the chance, what will you do to me? ”
“I wouldn’t mind pointing a sword on your neck. I’d kill you.”
” Very smart of you. I would do the same if I were you. ” Exhaled heavily. ” My sister, she’s after me. Anytime from today, she’ll have me and there’s no running from it. I just have to be ready for whatever it is. ”
” Why is she after you? ” Joanna asked, inquisitively.
” Why do you think someone will be after someone like me?”
” Your throne?” She guessed.
” And why would you think someone would desperately want the throne? ”
” To be with the King? ”
Enya gently nodded her head. ” To be with His Majesty. ”
” But you are already married to His Majesty, what would she still want him for? ”
” Everything a woman would want in a man, ” looks at her, ” his love. ” She completed.
” What do you think of doing? ”
” I don’t know. I hope father will come up with a good decision on how to stop her. ”
” Is that why His Majesty left the castle, to talk with your family? ”
She only nodded her head, saying nothing.
” I’m sorry this is happening to you. It’s only but a week of your marriage and all these is happening. I wish you can find peace with your life… this shouldn’t be happening. ” Shook her head.
” You don’t have to be worried about me, it is my burden I should carry alone. ”
” You are my queen and mistress, I have every right it takes to worry about you. All you have to do is to be careful, do not trust anyone not even me.
Even if she doesn’t enter the castle, then she will use one of us against you. And let’s just hope she doesn’t visit magic, or things will get a lot complicated.”
” She already has, that is why I seem more scared than I should. ”
” When I was little, my mother always told me the only thing strong enough to over come evil was love. Whatever kind of love it is, as far as it is real and true, nothing can stand against it.
You do love his majesty, don’t you? ” She asked, Enya nods. ” Then you have no reason to fear. For even if her plans must work, it won’t be for long. There is always a time for good to take over, and only patience can make this work ”
” I also trust His Majesty’s love for you, very soon you will be having a child, all these will turn out to be a history to tell. ”
Enya felt a bit relieved at Joana’s words, she never expected to be this relaxed.
“ The only thing strong enough to over come evil was love. There is always a time for good to take over, and only patience can make this work ”
The words kept consoling her the more. “ For even if her plans must work, it won’t be for long.”
” Thank you, Joana, for the encouragement. You do not know how happy I am for your words. I feel free and relieved now. ” She thanked.
” It’s nothing. I have promised myself to be there for Her Majesty, guess I’m making up that promise now. ”

She enters the castle when no one knew, and straight to the kitchen she met the chief cook who was making meal for lunch.
” Ma’am,” she faked her voice to Enya’s, trying as much as possible to wear the same smile as Enya. ” I was told this herb was good to maintain a delicate skin, I will love to have it in my drink this noon. ”
” Yes, My Lady. ” Said the cook, taking it from her hand. ” I’ll do as you have said.
” Thank you. ” She left the castle, a victorious smile played on her l-ips.
” This is only the beginning.” She smirked evilly, making her way out of the castle.

” Oh, I feel hungry,” Enya sat as soon as they reached the castle. ” and tasty too.”
” I will request for your lunch as soon as possible.”
” Meet me at the dinning room, I will be waiting there.”
” Yes, ma’am.” Joanna left to the kitchen while Anna left to the dinning, waiting patiently for Joana to show up.
” Your lunch is ready, My Lady.” She said, dropping it in the table. ” And your water too.” Pouring some water into her golden cup.
After Enya had finished eating, she felt weak rather. ” I thought foods were supposed to give strength and not to weaken the body, I feel damn weak. I think I need some sleep.”
Joana cleared the table, and Enya left to her room. Throwing herself on her bed, she immediately dozed off to sleep.
Joana watched from her magic water, laughing endlessly at her victory.
Now Enya is asleep, she will have the chance to do what she wants to do.
But not so fast, her body still in the castle might create chaos. She made some incarnations, transferring her body to the old hut she stays and her body to the castle, pretending to be asleep.
Now her plans are perfect, winning Lord Rodriguez’s love was the next.

Chapter 29: ANNA’S FEAR (1)

The night had surfaced, and Anna woke up from her slumber.
Stretching hærd, she yawned. She loved the texture of the bed on her skin.
” You really are enjoying a lot, sister Enya.” She tapped her hands on the bed as she said that, before making her way out of it.
She glared around the fine decorated room, admiring its beauty.
She loved the way the breeze blew on her skin, sending cold air to her body.
” You should be here by now.” She said, hoping for Lord Rodriguez to show up this instant.
” Joana?” She called, and just as usual, Joana rushed in not wasting a second.
” Yes, My Lady. ” She answered with a bow.
” I need a cold shower, please get my water ready.” She requested.
” I will do that immediately. ” She went to the bathroom to get her water ready.
” Would you mind for anything tonight? ” Joana asked as soon as she was done.
” Yes, of course. I am starving.”
” How do you feel?”
” I feel great, why did you ask?” She asked back.
” You complained about feeling weak and tired after you had eaten your lunch, I was just being concerned if you feel okay now. ”
” Yes, of course, I am. Thank you. ”
” Anytime. Your water is ready. ” She informed.

While Anna bathed, she sat in the tub, rubbing the water against her skin before applying soap on it.
She sank her long hair into the water, m-ssaging every sides of her scalp.
She was done bathing, she took the towel, tying it around her chest.
Water droplets rolled out of her body as she walked out of the bathroom to the bed room.
She searched for one of Enya’s dress, a smile played on her face as she did so.
Then she took the night dress, the same one Enya wore on the night they made love.
She dropped it on the bed, first rubbing oil on her skin. She rubbed oil on her hair too, then combing it.
She stared at herself at the mirror while she dressed up, applying a little of her red l¡pstick.
” Joana.” She called again.
Joana walked in, ” My Lady?”
” What’s taking too long for the dinner?” She questioned.
” Forgive me, Your Highness, the food isn’t ready yet. ” She apologized.
” What?! ” She yanked. ” Why would dinner not he ready by this time? What if His Majesty returns now and request for something to eat, is this what you will tell him? ”
” I… I will talk to the cook to quicken up. ”
” Better. Now go. ” Joana left the room instantly.
She has never seen the Queen in such mood like today. And she wouldn’t blame her either, the cook has been in a deep conversation with the other chefs when she came to check.
” What is keeping you all waiting, the queen is annoyed at the delay.” Joana informed. ” You must hurry up, His Majesty might probably be on his way now and he won’t love to hear such a story. ”
” Yes, ma’am. ” They said in unison.
” Mrs Carolina? ” She called.
” Yes, Miss.”
” Uhm.. nothing. Nevermind. You can continue your work.”
Joana didn’t return back to the room until she made sure they were done cooking the dish which didn’t take up to ten minutes.
Joana quickly went to Lady Enya’s room to serve her her meal.
” Is the King back?” She asked.
” I doubt.”
” What is taking him too long? ”
” Do not worry about him, I know His Majesty is a strong and brave king, he will take care of himself. ”
” I know, I am only worried about the dark. My sister must have known about his travel to Pendamour, who knows what she may be up to on his return.
I know my husband is strong, but he is alone while my sister isn’t. She practices witchcraft. ”
” Don’t worry, my lady, the gods will surely protect him from all evils.”
” Amen.” She concluded the prayer.

After Anna had finished eating, she was informed about the King’s return.
She picked a royal robes from the wardrobe, tying it around her body.
She laid with one side of her body, her hand resting on one hand as she waited for him to show up.
” His Majesty is making his way to the chamber.” Joana informed.
” Is he? ”
She nodded her head.
Anna felt her heart tremble, as she patiently waited for him to show up.
She was anticipating what he’d look like, how it will feel to lay on the same bed with him.
When the door opened, and he finally entered, her heart skipped a beat as if she has been waiting for years to see his face.
” My Lord.” She got down from the bed, walking to him. ” How was your journey? ” She asked.
” Very well. ”
She helped him take of his shirt, spreading it on the hanger stand. ” How did it go? What did mother and father say about the case? ”
” They are working on it. But for the meantime, they are after the witch who helped your sister. ”
She faked a smile, ” I’m happy they are doing some thing about it. How is my little sister, Arwen?”
” She is fine, she sends her greetings to you. ” She nods gently.
Anna felt anger deep in,side her. She knew it was Arwen’s plan that they are after the witch.
She was scared the witch will have to expose her plans if they eventually find her.
Oh, have Arwen told them about her plans with the witch? The part where she would take the same appearance with Enya?
” Are you hungry? I will send the maids to get you something to eat.”
” No, I’m not hungry. ”
” Are you sure? ”
” Your mother served me food before I left. I just want to sleep, that’s all. ”

~ THAT MORNING AT PENDAMOUR ~

” I am so sorry for the disturbance caused by one of my daughters. I have never thought of some thing so serious like this to ever happen. Please, accept my apology.”
” You are not my problem, King Neheb, your daughter is. And for the sake of our relationsh¡p, I will do no harm to her.
She has gone too far in her acts, likewise she has threatened my wife. And anyone who threatens my wife, threatens me too.
Like you have said, I do accept your apology but I will not be stopped if she ever lays her hand on my wife. I will not hesitate to have her put to death.” He warned.
” I understand. I have already send some of my armies after the witch, Arwen told us that Anna had requested for powers from witchcraft.
We will try as much as possible to see that we get to the bottom of this before some thing worster happens.” Neheb explained.
” Better.”
As they kept discussing, Arwen walked in. ” Greetings.” She bowed.
” What is it?” King Neheb asked.
” The witch is nowhere to be found. We have searched around the territory but yet, we could not find her.
I think she has flee from the kingdom. She must have known we were coming after her. ”
” Tell the armies to quit the search. Tonight, they will be leaving to Brok as spies. ” He sighed. ” I believe we will find both she and Anna.”
” I will do that immediately.” Turns to Lord Rodriguez, ” How is my sister?” She asked.
” She is fine.”
She smiled satisfied. ” Tell her I am okay, and do send my greetings to her.”
” I will.” She bowed again, exiting the room.
