Kelly stood up to run to his father who laid dead on the floor like a fallen iroko tree but he surprisingly noticed that everything systematically began to vanish, ranging from the hotel to the railway and even human beings until he couldn’t see anything except bushes and a narrow road. Those who were making a video of the scene got amazed on how he vanished from sight with Erica, just like the Elves disappeared to God knows where too. Police siren from a distant called to people’s mind the damage they’ve caused to the city especially at Unity Hotel. One could see dead bodies on the floor like those of sir Joe, Olisa and Jerry. The news had gone viral, hence drawing people’s attention. Victor arrived at the crime scene to see how the police evacuated dead bodies.

“I heard the Elves did this?” A voice came behind him. Victor turned to see Lucas. “Kelly was right about the consequences that follows the exposure of the dairy to the world.” Lucas added.

“Yeah, and it has caused his father’s life.” Victor gazed at dead sir Joe who was being carried into an ambulance. “I feel for Kelly, seriously.” he shook his head pathetically.

“Olisa and Jerry have also lost their lives in the process.” A female voice drew their attention. They turned to see Olivia. “You need to enter social media to see how Kelly and Erica suddenly vanished from camera. That’s the talk-on topic in the city right now. I guess they’ve been automatically taken to the house of Elves.” she added.

“Where that place is, is what I want to know” Victor stepped away. “I mean the house must not be spiritual, must it?” He spread his hand. “Gush, I’ve always wanted to be part of this journey!”

“Well, we may not know how to be part of the continuation of ‘Prophecy’ but I know who may have an idea.” Lucas ch¡pped in while others stared at him to let the cat out of the bag “Eleli.” he said.

Radically, Victor led the way to Kelly’s residence without utterance when he concurred with Lucas’ undiluted hypothesis. He jumped into a cab like a rat to a h0le followed by others. All laid low in,side the car using their eyes to observe the nature of the city. Sooner did they hear a breaking news from the car radio which seemed dusty and faulty like a left over sacrificial totem. The rusty noise from the car could tell how weak and old the engine was. Even the driver was nothing to write home about; he actually had age competition with the car that could get you wondering if actually he bought the car or the car bought him.

“Can you please t-rn on the volume of your radio, mister driver?” Olivia requested. It was like waking a sleeping dog instead of allowing it to lie; the driver stretched his quivering old hand to the radio, turned the tuner clockwise yet the volume remained as it was. He quit and hit the radio hærdly on the surface, instead of solving the problem, the radio went totally dead.

Olivia exhaled while Lucas became astonished. He glanced at Victor to see him shaking his head and smiling uncontrollably. He seated up and said with alacrity, “Sir, she told you to raise the volume not to beat the radio to death! A lot of people have died today already, why must you send your radio to the grave too…” The same radio interrupted him by coming back to live. “Oh, finally, it has resurrected.” He sink back into his seat while Olivia exhaled again as the radio kept broadcasting thus: “…following the recent tragedy which started from Mason High school students and have caused a holocaust in the city, Mr Mason Anefiok has been arrested and his school shut down by the government…” The radio went off again.

“Aaaahhh!!” Lucas exclaimed to see the man wanting to hit the radio again, he shouted, “No no no, the calculator… sorry, I mean the radio is already dead. Do you want to kill it twice before you know that it’s dead?! Thank God we’ve gotten to our destination. Pull over before you send me to an early grave too.”

The driver pulled over. While coming out from the cab, the radio came back to live for the second time. “You can listen, the radio is on again.” The old driver told them.

“No!” Olivia shouted with a loud chuckle.

“Oh, God!” Lucas shook his head from outside. “What part of ‘no’ don’t you understand?! A radio is meant to give news, yours gives high blood pressure!” he lamented.

The old man drove away smiling too. Meanwhile, Victor, who had been holding his ribs started cracking them with thunderous laughter in front of Kelly’s residence. “Lucas, you’ll kill me one day.” he said under his breath.

“It’s not funny, at all. That man is busy driving around with high B.P and calls it a radio.” he concluded.

They approached to the front door of the house, knocked and entered. Surprisingly, only the two kids were sleeping without their mother. Obviously, she had not come back from the scene of his brother’s death. Quietly, they carried the teddy bear from a cushion, tiptoe to the door like thieves until they found themselves outside.

“Okay, I want to understand; did we just steal the teddy or collected it?” Olivia broke the silence.

“Both, we collected it after stealing it.” Lucas answered.

“Whatever it is, let’s see if Eleli will talk?” Victor stared at the teddy on his hand. “Eleli, are you there?” He called.

No response.

He glanced at others . “Hello…Eleli!” he called for the second time, yet no response.

“Okay, young woman.” Lucas charged. “We know you don’t wanna talk, but we are friends of your boy, Kelly. We really want to know… sorry, we want to meet him wherever he is now. Help us.”

They waited for response, yet none came. Lucas and Olivia hopelessly looked away only to hear a female voice saying, “Hold my hands.”

“Oh, my God! She talks!” Victor shouted excitedly.

“Where is your hand?” Lucas asked.

“The Teddy’s hand, idiot.” Olivia rudely replied but friendly too. Getting hold of the Teddy’s hand, they found themselves on the road to the house of Elves….

“That’s how we got here” Victor concluded before Kelly and Erica. He looked around likewise others. They wh0le place looked strange to them. Olivia stepped forward. “We’re sorry about your father, Kelly?” she said thereby generating a sad atmosphere. The boy bent his head, remembering how it happened. Erica felt guilty at the moment too.

“Is okay, it’s nobody’s fault.” Kelly broke the silence.

“Except Erica’s” Lucas stepped forward too, glaring at Erica. “Yeah, the video is everywhere online on how Kelly preferred to save your punk ass instead of his own father..”

“Lucas…” Kelly tried to call him to order.

“No, let me deal with this girl” he walked closer to her “Kelly always loved you, he confessed it to you but what did you do, you threw it back to his face. Yet, he saved your ass which caused his father’s death. Now, what else does he have to do to tell you how much he loves you.” he turned away from all of them, briskly moving to the wrong way. “Well, I can’t wait to get to the Elves.. sorry, I mean to the immortals. I’ll wait for you guys there.”

Kelly smiled. “You’re just going back to where we started the journey, Lucas. House of Elves is this way.” he pointed at another way.

“Oh, sorry” he made a U-turn. “I must have been affected by that driver’s radio. It can cause amnesia.” he concluded while others chuckled even Erica. Truly, Kelly was more than happy to have them around….
