Jasmine’s POV
“I didn’t know you would not spend the wh0le weekend with me” I stood in front of him,folding my hands like I was upset.
 
“I’m sorry Jasmine, it was so urgent” He said walking towards me since I stood by the door.
 
“What else is more important than me? ”
 
“C’mon don’t act like you are jealous…i”m not seeing any other girl” He said and I finally put on a smile.
 
“I went to see Mr Jeremy” Shannon told me.
 
“Mr Jeremy? What’s with both of you? Do you already know him? ” I asked surprised.
 
“Yeah, he knows my Dad before he died. An investigation is going on now..that’s the only way to find out who killed my parents” He said.
 
“Ohh…it’s really must have been hectic.Speaking of Mr Jeremy, I haven’t apologized to him” I said changing my tone to a weak one.
 
“Well, Mr Jeremy is quite a gentle and friendly man. You have absolutely no problem with him” Shannon said then I smiled and frowned again.
 
“Is anything wrong? You have a distressed look on your pretty face” He noticed.
 
“D… I.. I’m Okay.. A mere thing ran across my mind now but it’s alright” I said trying to be all fine.
 
“Is it Mr Jeremy again? Trust me, you’ve got nothing to worry about” He said.
 
“Yeah,you just said so” I said coming closer to him and reaching for his l-ips when the door opened.
 
It was Alex and Emily.
 
“I got you, didn’t I? ” Alex said and I moved away.
 
“You want chocolate,don’t you? ” I asked Emily and took her to my room before she even said yes.

Shannon’s POV
 
“You left me on the fence Shannon, tell me what’s happening? I caught you two again, so do not tell me that there is nothing going on between my sister and you” Alex asked me.
 
“You saw it yourself”
 
“You are kidding me right? Ohh I’m the fool here, I never thought Jasmine would fall in love and you, you paid less attention whenever I talk to you about her. I normally tell you about Ivy but you never told me you liked my sister”
 
“I’m sorry”
 
“Your apology won’t be accepted until you tell me how it happened, why it happened and how it turned out to be my sister ” Alex said looking up at me ‘cos I was about taller than him.
 
But someone knocked on the main door.
 
An opportunity for me to get out of this hot seat.
 
“I’ll be right back” I told him.
 
I really wasn’t ready to give him answers b’cos I don’t know the answers to those questions.
 
How it happened?
 
Why it happened?
 
And how it turns out to his sister?

“Mr Jeremy?
We met not too long ago and you are here now” I said letting him walk in.
 
“Yeah, Mr Bryant called me and said he wants to see me” He said.
 
Just then Mr Bryant walked down the stairs or has he been standing there?
 
“Mr Jeremy” He called.
 
“Sir” He replied sharply with full respect.
 
“Looks like you already know Shannon” He said.
 
I turned to Mr Jeremy expecting what he would say.
 
“I.. He is a close friend’s son” Mr J said.
 
“I see” “Now come” He said to him as he climbed the stairs back.
 
“Later Shannon” Mr Jeremy said to me and I nodded and watched him followed Mr Bryant.

“Mr Jeremy, i’m not a kid neither are you” Mr Bryant said about to talk about something or someone.
 
“We aren’t”
 
“Shannon is Dawton’s son” Mr Bryant added.
 
“SSS… Sir” Mr Jeremy was shocked ‘cos Mr Bryant already found out so soon.
 
“I know you found out before me but why didn’t you tell me? ” He asked.
 
“I.. I was going to tell you” Mr Jeremy stammered.
 
“Uhm really? Well I see you are still very intimate with him, so what do you think he is up to? ”
 
“Finding out who killed his parents” Mr Jeremy said.
 
“He is?? ” Mr Bryant exclaimed with a change of expression on his face.
 
“Yes sir”
 
“Do you know…who did it? Who killed his parents? ” Mr Bryant asked.
 
“No idea sir” Mr Jeremy answered lowering his head.
 
“Is he suspecting anyone? ” Mr Bryant asked trying to hide his fears.
 
“Yes” Mr Jeremy told him.
 
“Who?? ” His heart almost jumped out.
 
“His Aunt”
 
Mr Bryant was a bit relieved.
 
“I wanted to help but never mind, I’ll see you on monday” Mr Bryant said.
 
Mr Jeremy bow a little before leaving the room.
 
When he came out of the room, he stood by the door and said to himself.
 
“You killed his parents, you would be exposed soon” Then he took a step down…
 
He saw Shannon with Jasmine smiling and laughing at eachother.
 
“What? Are they flirting? ”
