“I’m sorry to deeply disappoint you Justin, I don’t wanna lose my Job” Cop Ben said after listening to the wh0le story Mr Justin just disclosed.
 
“I know Ben and I also know it’s not beyond your power to help my wife out of the mess” Mr Justin said almost pleading.
 
“It is corruption Justin, even if I agree to take part in this issue secretly…no sooner would I be exposed ‘cos it’s our work. So Mr Justin if you insist on pusuading me to the wrong, not only your wife would be put to jail… It simply means you and your wife murdered the innocent children’s parent” Cop Ben said.
 
“I’m not involved I swear. I never knew Gilda ever did such not untill she told me recently”
 
“Anyway Justin, let’s put our intimacy apart and attend this case exactly the way I’m supposed to. I really love my Job and I’m so committed to it”
 
“What are you saying Ben? ”
 
“To be on a safe side, inform your wife to turn herself in or the police would come get her, do you understand? ”
 
“Ben? you are going to tell your colleagues? It a secret… I mean it’s fine if you won’t help but you don’t have to report to the rest of your colleagues ” Justin said fearfully.
 
“Like I’ve said, I am so committed to my Job..Not considering the fact that we are friends. It’s a crime for me to be aware about a criminal case and also to know a culprit involved without opening up, I’m sorry Justin, it is against the law.The only help I can render at least is to report to the higher cops and get your wife arrested if she doesn’t turn herself in immediately and she’s gonna face greater punishment. We don’t joke with murder cases”
 
Mr Justin stood in bewilderment..
His most trusted friend is not helping matters, he shouldn’t have told him in the first instance.
Aside that, his wife shouldn’t have been a murderer, there are other ways of dealing with enviness and Jealousy.
 
Shannon would find out soon and he would hate him for this.
He already did.

Shannon’s POV
 
“Brother, your girlfriend is here” Emily announced and scurried out of the room before her brother smacks her.
 
“Huhh Emily!? ” I wanted to run after her but Jasmine obstructed me.
 
“She’s not a kid anymore, do you think she is not aware of what’s between us too? ” Jasmine said.
 
“Too? Who else? ” I asked.
 
“Mom and Dad. They found out too” I answered him.
 
“Really? Do you think they are happy about it? ”
 
“Errrr, why not? ” I said then suddenly embraced him.
 
“What’s wrong Jasmine? ” I asked after she finally let go.
 
“Do you really love me? ” She asked with red eyes.
 
I peered into those eyes trying to figure out why she’s acting all strange.
 
“I think I need to travel all over the world, take a microphone along with me and shout out to everyone that I love you from the depth of my heart” I said and she smiled a bit.
 
“Did you recall the ways I acted towards you then? Is that why you find it too difficult to believe that I really love you? ” I asked.
 
“I know you do” She replied slowly.
 
“But you just asked now”
 
“I just felt like” She said smiling at me.
 
“Jasmine? ”
 
“Yeah? ”
 
“Why are you acting all strange? ”
 
“Really? Am I? ”
 
“Somehow, yeah” I said when her look converted into a worried one.
 
“I don’t know” She said and a tear drop from her eyes.
 
“Are you okay Jasmine? ”
 
“You tell me Shannon, are you trying to harm me or my family? ” She suddenly asked.
 
I was shocked
 
Why on earth will I do such?
 
I love her so much, why would I even think of harming her?
 
Her family? They really have helped me alot?
What is she talking about?
Is she beginning to doubt and hate me for no reason?
“Jasmine you are hiding something from me, Why would I do such a thing to you or your family? ” I asked..
My eyes were red too
What’s wrong with My Jasmine?
She forced out a smile and said “Just what if… ”
“Jasmine, are you trying to start a quarrel with me? ” I interruptted but she only stared at me..
“If it is because of what I did to you lately, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.. Do you want me to say it up to a trillion time? ” I said didn’t know when my eyes turned teary too.
I’m madly in love with her and she is trying to break my heart.
“Oh no, no Shannon. I’m only trying to make sure things are in their right place and all right” She said brighten up her face look…
“I love you too” She said.
I looked at her in bemusement..
“How about the investigation? How is it? ” She changed topic.
“Well, I told Mr Jeremy to have a close look on my aunt, she is the only one I’m suspecting” I told her.
“When you find out that she killed your Dad, what will you do to her? ”
“She didn’t only kill my Dad, my both parents!
I don’t know but I’m so sure of one thing, Payback! ” I said.
“Shannon” She called my name slowly.
“Yes sweetie”
“Why not let go of the past and live a life full of Peace” She said.
“Jasmine” “An heartless human made Emily and I orphans and you really want me to let it go and let it vanish into the thin air? ”
“I….I mean.. ”
“C’mon Jasmine, reason along with me” I held her hands “My parents were murdered, Emily looks like a sickler which she is not and I look like a wretched and caused guy too all because my parents were killed by my aunt! ”
I tried not to let a single tear drop but it did..
Jasmine eyes were full of tears too..
She is feeling so sober..
“I’m sorry Jasmine, I can’t not just let go of everything…It’s impossible” I said so desperately.
“Okay” She mumbled and wiped my eyes with her fingers.. I did the same to hers.
“I’ll go have a shower now. So Good night” She stood up..
“Do sleep well darling” I said, hugged her and watched her walk to the door..

She came in again after some minutes which I expect Emily to come in instead.
A towel was tied round her body.
“You wanna use my bathroom, your tap is faulty?” I asked.
“Well no” She said and moved closer with a sed-cive look on her face.
“Emily is fast asleep in my room” She said.
“Ohh” I mouthed and moved backward steadily as she came closer..
“Is anything wrong Jasmine? ” I asked when my back leaned on the wall and there was no way I can further moved backward.
“Well…I forgot something” She said and started staring at my l-ips while she leaned on me and smiled.
I got her message..
She wanted a k-ss
She’s a girl, I mean why is she doing this first..
I smiled.
I k-ssed her slowly but she reciprocated hungrily…
It was enough atleast.. I tried to come to an halt but she wasn’t ready to stop untill I felt her hand on my shirt..
She was unbuttonling my shirt.. !
“What are you doing Jasmine?” I stopped the k-ss kinda forcefully and holding her hands.
“Pls Shannon, Shhh” She whispered.
