“That’s how it went, so I don’t know Eva. I’m confused, I don’t know if I should agree or not” Bianca said.
I smile at her.
We’re in the living room and Bianca is telling me how her date with Jared went.
“Bianca, I’m no relationsh¡p expert because Fred and I still have our ups and downs.
But I think you should consider Jared, I can tell he really cares for you and he loves. He is a good man, Bianca” I told her.
“But…. ”
“Bianca, there are only few good men left in this world and you’re a good person, you deserve a good man.
Jared loves you wh0leheartedly, just let him in and let him show you how true he is. Let him in”
She stays silent and stare at Roy as he sing along the movie.
“You deserve to enjoy your life”
She nods with a smile, she turns to me.
“Ok, I’ll give him a chance” she shift her gaze to Roy.
“But how will I explain this to Roy? He’s gonna ask me about his father or even think I’m cheating on his father”
“Roy is a smart kid, he will understand if you tell him the truth”
“The truth that his uncle killed his father?”
“What? No!” I look at Roy, he’s still focus on the tv with no care. “Tell him that his father is dead, but lie about the cause of his death for now”
Bianca thinks about it for a moment and nod.
“Are you gonna be hear when I tell him?”
I know her hands shaking as she speaks, like she’s scared.
“I’ll be here”
“I don’t want him to hate me, I can’t take it”.
“He won’t!”
“Wait let me pull myself together”
I nod. We stayed silent for a few minutes, she clears her throat and nods.
“Are you ready?”
She nods, I turn to Roy.
“Roy?” I called him.
“Yes, aunt” his attention doesn’t leave the tv.
“Come here for a while”
“Aunt Eva, I’m watching tv”
“We won’t take much of your time”
“Ooh! Ooh! This is the best part” he said bouncing on the sofa.
I roll my eyes. Kids and tv are something you can’t put in a place at once.
“Roy, please, please, with a little cherry on top”
He drops the remote control.
“Fine!”
He rush towards us and sits in between us.
I look at Bianca, she looks so nervous and timid. She looks like she doesn’t no where to start from.
She runs her fingers through Roy’s hair slowly. She put on a smile which I know is not real.
I smiled at her reassuringly.
“Roy, d-do you miss your dad?” She asked.
Well, that’s a great start. I’m not sure I can do what she’s about to do right now.
Roy frowns and shake his head.
“Why?” She asked.
“He is not a good daddy, he cheats you!” He replies.
That first bring a genuine smile to Bianca’s face.
“So do you still want to go back and live with him in London?” She asked again.
“No, I don’t want that dad anymore” he turns his body to Bianca. “I want a new daddy, can we buy one from the mall?”
I couldn’t contain my laughter anymore, Roy is mature but very childish at the same time.
Bianca’s l-ips also quirk too.
“No, sweetie. We can’t get a new daddy from the mall”
Roy’s face falls and he pulls a long face.
“But I don’t want that Daddy, I want a new daddy”
Bianca carries him on her lap and cradles his head.
“We can’t get a new daddy from the mall, but I know who can be your new daddy”
“Who?” He asks immediately.
“Hmmm” Bianca pretend as if she’s thinking. “Jared!”
“Who is Jared” he frowns.
“Your uncle Fred’s friend”
“Ooh! Ooh! Is he a power ranger like uncle Fred?”
Bianca nods.
“Yes, he is”
“Then I want him to be my new daddy, I want my new daddy to be a power ranger like uncle Fred!”
“So, you agree for Jared to be your dad?”
“Yes! Yes!” He bounce on Bianca’s lap.
“Wow! That’s my good boy!”
He jumps off Bianca’s lap and runs towards the kitchen.
Ok, I’m confused. What just happened…..
Bianca turns towards me.
“Oh my God! Eva, it’s way easier than I imagined!”
“Yeah, Roy is matured in his own way” I frown a little. “But you forgot to tell him about Peter’s death”
She shakes her head.
“I didn’t forget, I don’t want to ruin his moment. I will tell him when he is old enough”
I nod. I guess she’s right, Roy is too young to understand it.
“So, when are you going to give your answer to Jared?”
“I will give it to him whenever I see him” she replies.
I smile.
“I’m happy for you”
Just then Roy runs back in and hold our hands and starts pulling us towards the kitchen.
“Come quick!” He says in a urgent voice.
“What happened Roy?” I asked him.
“I saw that lady putting something in all the milk” he answers.
I stopped in my tracks.
Milk? Selene is putting something in all the milk?
My dream… It looks like my dream is coming true.
I involuntarily wrap my arms around my stomach as if it’d protect my babies.
“How are you sure she’s putting something in the milk?” Bianca ask him.
“I was thirsty and run to the kitchen and I saw her”
“Come on, Eva, let’s go check it out” Bianca said and pull me along.
My arms not leaving my stomach.
We reach the kitchen and caught Selene red-handed, she opens the jar of milk and was pouring something in it.
She was so concentrated that she didn’t even notice us standing in front of her.
Bianca claps her hands and that alerted her, she drops whatever she was holding and start looking at us with wide eyes.
“I can see you’re doing a very good job here!” Bianca growled out.
“B-bianca…. I’ve seen this before in my dream.. she wants to harm my babies!”
“That’s not true” Selene defend herself, she puts on an innocent look.
Bianca scoffs.
“It’s not true? Then what were you adding to the milk? Are you trying to kill Fred then?”.
“No, I can’t kill Fred, he’s my daughter’s father. what I added is not harmful. It’s….. ”
“it’s not harmful?”
She shakes her head.
“Good! How about you drink it and prove to us that it isn’t harmful”
“I can’t drink it, what I added in,side is only good for pregnant women, it helps the baby grow healthy and strong!”
She is lying. My eyes move to the jar of milk, it’s just as if I’m in my dream.
“Selene, drink it to prove that it’s indeed not harmful”
Selene shakes her head and pass me a harsh glare.
“Don’t make me do this the hærd way!”
Selene still shakes her head, she tries to run past us but Bianca puts her foot on the way. Selene kicks it and falls on.
Bianca turns to me.
“Take Roy and go upstairs!” She said.
I nod and take Roy’s hand.
“Be careful!”
“Don’t worry, she can’t do a thing”
I pull Roy along with me and head upstairs.
It’s official, wether Fred likes it or not, Selene will leave this house today.

I take out my pocket knife and pressed it against selene’s neck.
I gather her dress in my hand, holding onto it tightly.
“W-what are you doing?” She asks me.
“I should be asking you that… Who are you? Who sent you? And what is your mission here?”
She laughs briefly.
“You are lucky he asked me not to hurt you or else you’d have being long dead”
“He? Who is he?”
She didn’t say anything, she only glare at me and spits in my face.
Ok, she just signed her death wish.
I removed the knife from her neck and stab her on her right shoulder, I stab her again on the same s₱0t and she grunts in pain.
I smirk.
“Tell me who sent you? Why do you want to harm my brother’s kids?”
“I won’t tell to, but just know that your brother doesn’t deserve to live. He is….”
I flash my knife across her face, leaving a large cut on her right cheek. Blood pouring out.
She scre-ms our in great pain and I smile. I hate torturing people but once you messes with me, I’ll torture you with no regrets.
“How dare you cut my face!!” She shriek.
“You came into this house with bad intentions and think you can succeed?”
She lifts her leg and tries to kick me off but I stab her th-gh with my knife instead. I push the knife deeper and twist it, I smirk as she scre-ms.
I’m suddenly pulled away from her.
I wanted to stab whoever pulled me away but he caught my hand, I look and noticed it’s Fred.
“Fred let go of my hand let me teach her a lesson”
“No, I won’t let you hurt her!” He said.
I frown. Selene quickly limp to Fred’s side and hides behind him, shedding crocodile tears.
“Don’t try to defend her. She wanted to harm your babies!!”
“I don’t believe you, Bianca” he said.
“You don’t believe me?” I point at the jar of milk.
“Look she was trying to poison it. Who takes milk in the house mostly, Eva! So, you see, her target is Eva!”
Fred turns and look at Selene.
“Were you trying to hurt my wife and babies?”
She shakes her head frantically.
Fred turn back to me.
“I told you she wouldn’t hurt Eva or my babies, she was just adding supplements to the milk, right Sarah?”
Selene nods.
I see Fred smirk, he takes a glass and pour milk in it.
“You’ll see how I prove its not poisoned” he walk towards Selene.
He smiles at her and takes the glass to his mouth.
“Fred are you insane?” I asked.
But he didn’t drink it, he lifts selene’s head and forcefully open her mouth. Then he pours the milk in her mouth and forces her to swallow it.
When the glass is empty, he drops it on the counter.
“See? It’s not poisoned” Fred said.
Selene stands up abruptly even though she’s injured.
“I will be right back, I need to get my injuries treated” she said.
“Oh, I can arrange a doctor to treat here” Fred told her.
“No, I’d rather go to a clinic” she didn’t wait for Fred to speak, she limp-run outside with blood trailing along.
I turn to Fred.
“So you choose to believe her over me”
“Relax, I won’t let anyone hurt Eva. I know what I’m doing” then he head upstairs.
I frown. Why is Fred being so calm? This is so unlike him…
Or maybe he has a plan. It must be… But what could be his plan.

I grunt in pain as I step out of the cab, I rushed into Grayson’s apartment. He’s not around but I’ll wait for his return.
We need another plan.
