Chapter 35.

Three months later…..

“Speak!!” Fred roared in Grayson’s face.

But Grayson wouldn’t say anything, he is just gro-ning in pain.

For the past three months Fred has been torturing him every two days, all his body is disfigured and full of bruises.

In fact, his body is beyond healing, no medicine can heal him.

Fred lands his wh¡p on his back, Grayson simply wince as he can’t scre-m any longer.

“Why did you betray me!! Speak assh-le!!”

Grayson doesn’t say anything, he is just praying for Fred to get tired of him and kill him. His only prayer is to die in peace.

“Oh, I see you don’t want to speak”

Fred look at Grayson’s body hanging on the pole, an idea pop in his head and he smirks.

He turns to his men.

“Make a fire under him, the fire should burn his legs. Let’s see if he won’t spill the beans!!”

Grayson’s eyes grow wide, he starts shaking his head weakly.

“N-no..” he whispers.

Fred paid him no attention, he step back as his men make the fire. Soon, the fire start burning Grayson’s leg.

Grayson used all his strength, scre-ming, crying for Fred to stop, but Fred simply smiles.

“Now, tell me, why did you betray me!!!” Fred roared.

“H-he… H-he… Made… M-me… do it” Grayson manage to say.

“Who made you do it?”

“Sa…sa.. Samuel”

Fred frowns.

“Samuel?”

Grayson nods, he close his eyes tight as the fire cook his legs.

“Eva’s… dad!”

Fred glared at Samuel who’s smirking.

“What did he tell you?!”

“H-he… said y-your dad.. killed my dad…. Fucccccccccccccck!! I.. I.. can’t… bear.. this anymore…. Please b-boss… Make it stop… Make it stop!”

Fred walk towards Samuel, anger in his eyes.

“Who is his dad and how did my dad killed him?!”

Samuel spits in Fred’s face and laugh hysterically.
Fred takes a handkerchief from one of his men and wipes his face.

“I’m not gonna say a word, just kill me already!”

Fred clenched his jaw and fisted his hands. He takes out his gun and shoot Samuel’s abdomen, then he marches his stomach.

Samuel grunt and spit out blood.

“You want a quick death, huh? I won’t give that to you, I’ll leave your punishment for Eva to decide”

He turns to Grayson and aims his gun at him.

“Let’s end your suffering, I’m tired of you!” He shoots him straight in the head and Grayson stopped struggling.

His head falls and rest on his chest.

“Take him out and throw him in the forest!”

“But there aren’t any forest around here”

“Then find one and throw him there!!” He gritted out.

“Yes, boss!!”

Bianca 👄

I frown as the nurse does some check ups on Eva, I wait impatiently for her report.

It’s been three months since Eva went into coma, her belly has a bump already, but there’s still no sign of the babies breath.

Which makes me worry a lot.

Nurse Belinda turns to me with a wide smile, I frown.

Why is she smiling?.

“Miss Bianca, I have good news!”

Good news?! Don’t tell me…..I smile.

“Yeah? Will she wake up today!”

She shakes her head and I frown again.

“No, but judging from her skin tone, she’s no longer pale which means she’ll wake up sooner”

I roll my eyes.

“Is that the good news?!”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy but I was thinking she’d wake up today.

“No, the good news is, I finally hear the babies breath!!”

“Oh my God!! What?!”

“I heard their tiny hearts beating!”

“Jesus!! That’s great!! Are they ok?, I know they are ok, but are they ok like ok, ok?”

“Yes, they are perfectly fine but I didn’t hear two breaths”

I pause.

“What do you mean?”

“I heard three breaths in her”

“Three breaths?”

She nods.

“She’s having triplets!”

“Triplets?!!”

Fred?.

Fred walks in, shock in his face. He looks at Eva for some minutes then he look back at me, before looking at the nurse.

“Triplets?!” He asked again.

“Yes, sir!”

He stands dumbly, just staring at Eva’s tummy.

“Miss Bianca, I’m done for today, I’ll take my leave”

“Oh, let me see you off” I offer.

“No, thanks. I can go by myself”

“Ok!” She carries her kit and head out.

I turn to Fred, I studied his face to know his emotions.

But his face is void of all emotions, I can’t tell if he’s happy or sad.

“Fred?”

He doesn’t answer.

“Fred?”

Still not answering.

I tap his shoulder.

“Fred!”

“Y-yeah!” He finally replies.

“You guys are having triplets, aren’t you happy?”

“Three kids at once?”

“Yeah!” I reply with a smile.

“I only wanted three kids in life, how come we have them all at once?”

What is wrong with this boy?

Yeah, he’s a just a boy in my eyes.

“That’s a good thing, why are you not happy about it”

“It’s a good and bad thing”

“What do you mean?”

He looks at Eva tummy, he has a conflicted expression on.

“I can’t have raw s€× with Eva anymore!!” He blunts out frustratingly.

“What?!” I exclaim.

“I don’t like wearing c-ndoms, how will I cope?!”

I look at him in surprise. Is he being serious now?!

I shake my head.

“You are impossible!!”

Then he suddenly breaks into a smile.

He pushes me slightly.

“Now get out, I wanna tell my wife the good news”

“I thought you were worried about… you know?”

“I’m worried doesn’t mean I won’t be happy, they are my kids”

“Hmm!”

“Now out!”

“Weirdo!”

But I step out anyway.

Eva 💘

I don’t know how long I’ve been here, I’ve lost all hope of leaving here, now I’m starting to feel at home here.

Though a male voice has been keeping company all these while and right now I’m missing his voice.

I sigh and look around, finally there’s light, everywhere is bright.

*Eva! Eva!! Can you hear me?!* The voice comes.

I smile and reply “yes” even if he won’t hear me.

*I have good news, our babies are fine!!* He sound so excited.

Unconsciously, I smiled too.

*And the greatest news is, we are having triplets!!*

I don’t why, but hearing this makes me feel so happy too.

*Please wake up soon, Bianca is alright now, she doesn’t look like she had an accident months ago*

Bianca…. I know this name….. It’s so familiar….

*In case you don’t know who’s speaking, let me introduce myself again.

I’m your husband, I’m Fred*

Fred…. I know this name too.

Fred…. Bianca… Fred… Fred….

My head start aching, I close my eyes and try to subdue the pain.

But it just gets worse.

Fred…. Bianca… Accident… Babies….

Then it all came back.

Fred is my husband… we were expecting our babies…
I gasp.

Oh my God!

Bianca… Accident… We had an accident.

Just then a blinding light shines directly in my eyes, I close my eyes and feel myself falling. I fist my hands, trying to hold myself but I couldn’t.

The force is just too strong.

Fred keeps talking when he suddenly feels Eva’s right hand grip his in a very tight grip.

Fred pause and look at Eva, he sees her frowning her face as if she’s struggling or fighting with something.

He got scared.

“What’s happening?!” He asked himself.

He just stare at her not knowing what to do.

“Should I call Bianca?”

He shakes his head.

“I can’t disturb her, maybe I should just hold her down!”

He takes her head in his lap and starts car-ssing it.

“Eva, it’s fine. You are safe, it’s ok”

But that only makes her frown more.

“W-what… What’s happening?!”

Just then Eva’s eyes snap open, Fred flinch back with a shock expression.

Eva look around frantically.

“E-eva?!” Fred calls in a short stutter.

Eva turns to face him, she frown when she sees him and look at him for a few minutes. Before a recognition dawned on her.

She throws her arms around Fred, hugging him tight to herself, then she starts crying.

“Eva, you are really awake!”

Eva didn’t reply, she just continue crying.

“I was so scared, Fred”

“Shhh, you are safe now. I’m here, I’m here with you”

She breaks the hug and puts her face down. But Fred lifts her chin with his forefinger.

“I haven’t seen your eyes for a long time, why are you facing down?”

She bites her lower lip, trying to avoid Fred’s eyes.
She knew she did wrong, she shouldn’t have left the house in a haste.

“I’m sorry Fred, I shouldn’t have left like that, I.. I.. ”

She burst into tears.

Fred wipes her tears and smiled at her.

“Eva, don’t blame yourself, I’m at fault too. I shouldn’t have kept my plan a secret ati should have taken action sooner. For that, please forgive me”

She nods.

She suddenly gasped loudly.

“Fred, b-bianca…. Bianca…. She…. ”

“Bae, calm down and talk slowly”

“Bianca she is still lying there, we have to save her, she’s losing so much blood!”

Fred simply laugh at her. Eva frown and look at him feeling confused.

“Why are you laughing?!”

“Bae, Bianca is fine, she recovered three months ago”

“What?! I slept for that long?!”

Fred nod.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“I tried but you didn’t wake up”

Just then the door burst open and Roy runs in,side, yelling Fred’s name.

“Uncle Fred, save me!! Mummy is coming for me!!”

He jumps into the bed without looking and bump at Eva’s tummy. Eva gro-n and that catches his attention.

He sees Eva and he gasp.

“Aunt Eva is awake?”

Eva stops gro-ning and smile.

“Yes, Roy. Come on” she opens her arms and Roy jumps in.

Roy start showering her face with k-sses, he stopped when he thinks he’s had enough.

“Wow! Uncle said you’re a super woman and you will wake up soon, it’s true!”

Eva nods.

“Yeah!”

“I wanna marry a super woman too when I grow up like uncle”

“Of course, you will”

“Where is that naughty child, Royal….. ” Bianca trails off when she sees Eva.

She blinks rapidly for a few minutes before she rushes to Eva and give her a tight hug.

“C-can’t.. b-breath!” Eva manage to say.

Bianca quickly let her go.

“I can’t believe this, am I dreaming? Are you really awake?”

Eva nods.

“I’m so happy, I don’t know what to say. You finally woke up, I thought we wouldn’t see you again. I was starting to get scared, please don’t do that again.

In fact if you do it again, I’m so going to get mad at you and even if you beg me I wouldn’t forgive you… ”

“Bianca!” Eva cuts her off. “I won’t do it again”

Bianca laughs a little.

“Ooh, ooh, have you heard?”

“Heard what?”

“You and Fred are having triplets!!”

Eva smiles widely and nod.

“Yeah, I heard Fred talking about it in my sleep” she replies.

Bianca scoff.

” That has ruined my surprise, I was hoping you’d be surprised”

“Don’t worry, I’m surprised too”

Then it was silent, Fred just staring at Eva’s face as if it’s the first time he’s seeing her.

Roy braids her hair and Bianca m-ssaging her feet.

Then Fred broke the silence.

“Eva there’s something I want to tell you” Fred speaks slowly.

“What is that?”

“I know you won’t believe me, so I want to show you”

“Is it about my dad?”

Fred and Bianca exchange looks. And they nod slowly.

Eva sighs heavily.

“Take me to him”

“Are you sure?!” Bianca asked.

“Yes”

“B-but you just got out of coma” she adds.

“Don’t worry, I’ll have to face him sooner or later, so why not just face him now”

“Ok, Fred take her to him”
